Billing partial contract document.

29.10.07
Hi Gurus,
My scenario is as follows :
A contract of value 3000/- from 01.11.07 to 30.11.07 against which a sales order is generated for a value of 1400 (10.11.07 to 24.11.07). I will bill the sales order and for the balance 16 days i want to bill the contract directly for 1600/- or automatically generate a sales order and further billing. Is it possible through standard or with the help of ABAP'ers. Please advise.
Regards,
Udaynath

Ok Lets see,
U have a value contract of 3000 rs right! the duration of which  is from 01.11.07 to 30.11.07.you have already craeted a sales order of a value of 1400 now the remaining balance is of 1600 rs, so here the balance 16 days should not be ur concern but the concern shud be that within the time limit of contract ur entire contact value is utilized.
So for the remaining 1600 rs u can create a release order for any date whether from 01.11.07 to 10.11.07 or from 26.11.07 to 30.11.07.And the order will be further proceessed as usual for delv or billing.
Hope this clears ur query

  • Billing Request in Value Contract Document Type

    Dear Friends
In Value Contract Document Type WK1 in [VOV8] Billing Request is IRC:- Debit Memo Request for Contract
What is the use of it how i will see it is effect in standard business process
    Regards
    Arun

The billing request is your call off sales document for the value contract e.g. USD 2,000 contract for which initially only USD 500 is billed, thus the debit memo request. The process applies to a situtaion where there is/are partial or staggered releases of contracted goods or services.

  • Billing under Contract

    Hi all,
This is regarding Billing (partially or fully) billing a customer who is under contract.
    Scenario:
    1. Equipment is under contract
    2. Few spares / services are covered under contract - should not be billied during contract period
    3. Some spares / Services are not covered in contract - Should be billed at an agreed price
4.The Engineer  or the planner may not  be aware which are chargeable / unchargeable items / services
    5. System should Create the bill based on the terms maintained in the contract
Can anybody please review the below process flow and correct If anywhere I am wrong?
    1. Creating a contract VA41 with Service product as line items
    2. Attach the Equipment to the Line item
    3. Maintain the pricing agreements for the line item
    4. Maintain agreed price for all the spares / services - ie.maintain zero (0) price for non-chargeable items
    5. Create the bill (one time bill in advance - no Periodic billing)
Whenever there is a complaint from Customer
    6. Create Notification and Service order
    7. Plan all the spares / services in the Service order
    8. Time and material confirmation against the service order
    9. Run DP90 for DMR - Should fetch the price from Pricing agreement maintained in the Contract
    10. Settle the Service order to the Service contract line item
I could not try this in our work place but I outlined process flow. Please let me know actual process
    Thanks,
    Pranav

    Hi  Pranav,
Your process steps looks okay. Please make sure that the Contract number is referenced in the Notification/Service order. DP90 reads the Cost in the service order and populates the suitable Material  you had assigned in the DIP profile in the DMR. The pricing procedure assigned to the DMR reads the contractual conditions from the Contracts and determines the price according to the Condition record you had maintained for the condition types.Alternatively If you want to give zero $ for some spares, you need to maintain condition record with 100% discount for those materials/customer combination.Hope this helps.

  • FI Partially cleared document which table get saved

    Hi,
I want to know in which table partially cleared documents regarding G/L , vendor and customer is saved?
    Thanks
    Parag

    Hi,
Initially the original document posted will be in the table BSIS ( eg for 12000). When a partial payment made against the original document , eg here (7000) also will be posted in BSIS, since it is only partially cleared. Now when we pay the balance ( here 5000) , for the same document , all the 3 documents wiill be moved to the table BSAS eg, the 12000, 7000, 5000, since it is fully cleared.

  • Error when releasing billing to accounting document

Why we tried to release the billing to accounting document. There is the below error.
    Could someone please kindly help?
    Message Identification: F5
    System Message Number: 358
    Output type: E
The Diagnosis is 'This document refers to a document which contains an invoice reference.
The Procedure is 'Enter a different document as the invoice reference'.
    Thanks,

You might be creating the billing document for a flow where there might be original invoice and/or credit memo also.
So check that the original invoice and/or credit memo has an invoice reference to itself (i.e. the invoice reference = the accounting document number) than there is an incorrect referencing.
Remove this reference via FB02 in the original invoice and/or credit memo and it should work

  • Read-only Collaborator can edit Contract Document properties

We have a master agreement with a read-only collaborator. The security profile for this collaborator role is identical to the stock "Document Reviewer" profile, i.e. only View is set.
However this supposedly read-only collaborator is able to edit Contract Document properties. They click on the Contract Documents tab, then drill into a Contract Document, and then click on the Edit button. From there, they have the ability to change fields such as Name, Descrpition, Effective Date, etc. They cannot change or delete the actual file attachment itself.
Is this an issue with CLM, or is there some security setting we are missing somewhere? Please tell me this is not working as designed ..
    thanks.

    Hi Terry,
According to your description, my understanding is that you don’t want the yollow bar notification to display when you open Access documents.
This issue seems to be about the client application. Please compare the followings with the things that you did:
     1.Open the documents
     2.Click File->Options->Trust Center->Trust Center Settings
3.Click Protected View, unselect ‘Enable Protected View for originating from the Internet’
4.Click Message Bar, select ‘Never show information about blocked content’
5.Click Macro Settings, select ‘Disable all macros without notification’
In addition, as this issue is about Office, I commend you create a new thread in Office forum, more experts will assist you with this issue.

  • Not able to attach final signed document in the contract document

    Dear Experts,
The upload field for final signed document in the contract document is visible only for the latest/last contract document if there are more than one contract document exist in the Master Agreement.
For the previous contract documents, not able to attach final signed document (i.e) the upload field is invisible. This scenario is occuring only in few master agreements, mostly found in Legacy agreement types. But for newly created legacy agreements this scenario is not occuring. Please help me in finding out why the upload field is visible only for the last/latest and not for the previous ones.

    Hi Dinesh,
Did you find a solution to this?

  • Vendors Unable to Check-In Contract Documents (e-Sourcing 5.1 Patch 06)

Vendors Unable to Check-In Contract Documents (e-Sourcing 5.1 Patch 06)
When moving to patch 06 for e-Sourcing we found that Vendors were no longer able to check-in contract documents, even though they checked them out successfully.
On Patch 05 this was not an issue with the exact same configuration.
Has anyone had any encounters with this?
    - Is there a permission that needs to be set to something specific?   I tried create/read/edit but that doesn't seem to work.
    Thanks.

When working with a Master Agreement or Sub Agreement within e-Sourcing you can attach Contract Documents (Word files) that you and the vendor can collaboratively work on.
Just like a source control system you can check out a document to make edits to ensure that no one else makes edits at the same time.  You then must check back in the document to remove the 'lock'.
On patch level 06 we found that although Vendors could perform the Check-out procedure (On a Contract Document click Actions -> Check-Out) they are not permitted to then check-in the document (Actions -> Check-In).
Buyside users do not experience any issues with check-out/in.
Hope that helps clear up the issue.
    Thanks,
    Greg

  • Not able to check-in file after contract document in executed phase

    Hi All,
I am trying to attach the final signed document to contract document after EXECUTED phase.
The default behaviour shown on application is, when Contract Document is in EXECUTED phase, Check-in, Check-out is disabled on edit(pencil icon). Also, delete option is still enabled(Trash Icon). It should be disabled.
Please suggest how this can be resolved.
    Thanks,

  • CLM - Maximum File Size for Contract Documents

We did a search but did not find an answer for this.  For the CLM system does anybody know SAP's recommendation on the maximum file size that the application can reliably handle for contract documents?  We recently increased the maximum file size from 10MB to 50MB to accommodate a larger than allowed file size.  Now the business has requested the capacity to add files (pdf files) up to 115MB.  Would increasing our file limit to approximately 150MB be within the recommended parameters?

There is no specific recommendation for maximum file sizes as this depends on how your time-out parameters are set, your server resources and network (also tunneling policies).  The fact is the higher the filesize the more risk you run in unreliable uploads.  Compressing files before uploading is a good practise for larger files.
These are the same issues which you would run into if you for example upload to a sharepoint site or even a copy on a shared drive, it all depends on the same parameters.
Tunneling policies could also affect your performance as it will limit the upload speeds according the priority set on certain network activities and if it limits your bandwidth you run in the risk of time-out so as you see there is no straight answer to your question.  I know customers who can without no problem upload 150Mb files and others who already have issues with 50Mb.
Unfortunate, as I do not know your architecture and infrastructure I can only advice to stresstest the conditions of 150 Mb uploades with several user ids and see if you get time-outs or if it degrades the network performance. One of the questions you should ask your business is how frequent are the occurences of 150Mb+ uploads and if it is the appropiate way.  It could be that these are very rare and in that case you could ask them to do this outside the busy hours of the network which will provides you less risk in problems.

  • Late Archiving for Contract Documents via OAWD.

    Hi experts,
I am now configuring Late Archiving for Contract Documents but it seems that the document attachment cannot be viewed via J6NP/J6NY. My question is concerning the Business Object. When I use standard Business Object "BUS2095", documents are stored succesfully and documents can be viewed in J6NP/J6NY. But I cannot use BUS2095 because it only has Sales Document No as input. My users require fields - Sales Document No, Contract Start Date,Sales Organisation and Distribution Channel. Therefore I created a customized Business Object with those fields. These fields were taken from a new Customised Joint table between VBAK,VEDA and VBAP.
At OAWD, I am able to archive for the Document Type I created. It says that Document stored succesfully. But the problem is when I want to view the archive document at J6NP/J6NY, there is no attachments. I tested the J6NP configuration with BUS2095 and attachment can be viewed. But with my Customised Business Object, there are no attachments.
What must I look into and what do I need to check? I really need help here. Please..

    Hello,
Can you check the configuration of OAC3?
Hope you have deleted the configuration of BUS2095 assignment to document type.
Instead, creation of new archivelink configuration for custom business object and assign to document type you have used earlier.
    -Thank,
    Ajay

    Hi,
    SWWL - Deletes work items
    SWW_SARA - Archive work items
And if you want to delete the WF then follow the given instructions:-
You must first open the workflow. You do not have to do anything with it, but it must have been opened prior to deletion.
You can select multiple workflows at once, then hit the execute button. From there, just hit escape to go to the next one.
