Billing relevance in MTO with assembly processing

Hi, can anyone provide advise on this?
I created a service material (DIEN) that will generate a production order in the sales order.  However, if i set the billing relevance to 'Not relevant', the production order cannot be created.  Is there a reason why?
Thanks
Peter

system allows me to do so which should not happen
If you have maintained VTAF copy control for sale order to proforma, then system will allow.  Check whether you have maintained.
since I need to create a proforma invoice after sales order
Here I am not clear.  When in first statement, you say it should not happen here you say you need to create.  Please note if you want to create proforma against sale order, you need to maintain copy control as suggested above and also you need to maintain commercial invoice type to your delivery in VTFL, so that system will allow you to create both proforma and commercial invoice.  No need to change the item category which is not standard.
thanks

  • Third party process:Billing relevance 'B' order related and 122

I am facing the following problem: in Order related Billing according to order qty, the sales order bills what has been received on the third party PO in MM.
The following situation occurs: When I order 100, receive 100 and Bill 100: The sales order is fully billed. When I later return a quantity to the vendor in MM with a 122 referring to the PO, the sales order remains fully billed. There is no way I can find out which Sales order needs to be take action on (credit). Can someone help me finding out how I can select these sales orers after a 122?

    Ok, no problem.
At the client we have a very specific flow where receipts on a third party PO need to be billed daily when they happen and every receipt (better: any goods movement) needs a seperate billing document.
This is not covered in SAP standard. I wrote a program (functional) how SAP should find the billing relevant movements:
    1) Go to the billing due list daily at 0:00
    2) Check all related third party PO's and the movements
    3) Check the sales flow of the relevant SO. Check which material doc has been billed (via reference field in the billing doc)
    4) For all items not yet billed call function module GN_INVOICE_CREATE. (bill in case of 101 and 123 and credit in case of 102 and 122)
This works all fine until I found above issue: Fully billed items are removed from the billing due list even if there is a 122 or 102 afterwards on the PO. So I redesigned the program.
    1) at 0:00 Select all movements on the system date for the specific flow (PO type and plant) via Material documet header and segment.
    2) Via the account assignment in the material doc you have the Sales order. Then the same applies:
    3) Check the sales flow of the relevant SO. Check which material doc has been billed (via reference field in the billing doc)
    4) For all items not yet billed call function module GN_INVOICE_CREATE. (bill in case of 101 and 123 and credit in case of 102 and 122)
Here I am not using the due list and it solved my problem.

  • Problem in Assembly Processing in Project System

    Hello All,
My Client want to implement Assembly Processing. We have configured the system as per SAP Standard. we are testing this in Quality System along with SD & PP Modules. we have template which contain Material WBS Process WBS & Other Cost WBS But we are getting all cost of material and process cost on one Material WBS after Production order confirmation. How can we divide this cost separately for Material & Process WBS.
As SAP Standard Process we maintained activities for different process also but when we tested this we are not clear about the use of these activities. We are not getting any cost or don't have any relation in any way for these activities.
Please Help me about this Assembly Process.
    Thanks
    Warm Regards
    Sunil

    1. Create a Inquiry in VA11 --OK
*2. Create Quaotation in VA21 wrf to Inquiry*--OK
    3. Create a Sales order in VA01, while creating sales order, as soon as we assign the material component in SD line item a pop will come for entering std wbs, std ntw, network profile. once we enter this at bottom we can see that scheduling is carried out. Note: if we define material/std wbs/std ntw in CN08 then pop will not come. Now check for errors and save the sales order, at bottom we can see that project order is created. Note: Project number is same as sales order no:---OK
    4. in Billing plan tab at item level we can see the milestones for new project.--In sales order i don't see any milestone or any type of setting. can you please tell me about this we are not able to execute milestone billing in our case.
Ans to Query: For Milestone billing to work you need to do the following settings in SAPSD
    1.     Create Billing Plan in SD and assign the Billing Plan to Sales Document type you are using. Path: IMGSDBillingBilling Plan
    2.     In the above node , do settings for Define Billing Plan Types, Define And Assign Date Categories, Maintain Date Proposals For Billing Plan Types, Assign Billing Plan Types To Sales Document Types, Assign Billing Plan Types To Item Categories.
By doing above settings you will get an additional tab u201CBilling Planu201D in Sales order where you can get the milestones generated for new project. For exiting project you can copy milestones to SD from project.
If you want Billing Plan at sales document item level, assign the billing plan type in Item category.
    5. In Sales order we can see that billing lock is set against the milestones.---Not Found
Ans to Query: By doing the above settings as in slno 4, you can see the billing block against the milestone*6.Now open the project in Cj20n and go to network we can see sales order no with line item no.*---OK
    7. Now verify the mile stones in the project.--Adding milestone but no effect in billing
*Ans to Query : you can see that milestone no in Sales order and Project will be same. Note: Subject to in your standard network you should have milestones, so that we you create a sales order new milestones will get generated wrt to milestones in Std network. So when project is created you can see mile stones are also created.*8 .check the requirement list in MD04 against the Finished product we can see that requirement is generated againt project wrt to sales order.---No requirement is displayed .
To generate the requirements. Check the settings in requirement class.
    9. Run MRP in MDBT/MD02/MD01, based on procurement type in MM , PR's and Pld order will generated. Note: ALL PR's and PLD Orders are account assigned to WBS.---When we execute this MRP this is not picking requirement from project. BOM created by CS01. if we assign material to activity than this MRP is picking requirement from project.
    10. Now do Pr>PO>GR>(ALL all accounted against project.--OK
    11. Convert Pld order to Production order> release the order> Goods issues against production order.--OK
    12. Confirm the Procution order wrt routing operation one by one in CO11N.--OK but we want sageregated cost for material cost and process cost to different WBS as we have material WBS and Process WBS.
Ans to Query: This is not possible because in Assembly order processing single account assignment is only possible for the finished products, and for that finished product routing is also account assigned to the WBS assigned to Production order. So operation cost comes and sits in same WBS. If at all you want to track separately you can  transfer the actual cost for process to process WBS in tcode:KB11N
Using KB11N tcode we can manual transfer cost from one WBS to another WBS.13. in cost element reports at projects we can see the cost breakup for all production activities as well as for material.--you mean CJI3 report
*Ans to query: Yes you can see in CJI3 report or in SALR_870135452 report also_*14. settle the production order.----where to settle this production order? and how?
*Ans to Query: For assembly processing account assignment is u201CQu201D so automatically in production order we can see the settlement rule is set against the WBS. So the cost from production order is settled to WBS and subsequently from project to the respective receiver as per settlement rule in project.*
    15. conform all activities in Project.----OK CN25 or CJ20N
In any of the above tcodes
    16. Do billing in SD as when when mile stone reaches to post actual revenues.----OK
    17. run RA in KKA2 and save the RA results--OK
    18. Run settlement in CJ88 ---Not using any settlement
    19. set the status of Project as Teco and Clsd.---OK
Please let me know if you need more clarifications

  • Item cat -billing relevance

    HI,
IN VOV7 what is the diffrence between
    Billing Relevance B/C/F
B     Relevant for order-related billing - status acc.to order qty
C     Relevant for ord.-related billing - status acc.to target qty
F     Order-related billing doc. - status according to invoice qty
    Pl suggest

    Dear,
    B - Relevant for order-related billing - status acc.to order qty
Billing is based on the sales document. The requested delivery quantity determines the billing status.
Item categories REN (Returns) and BVN (Cash sales items) are set up with billing relevance "B" in the standard system.
    C - Relevant for ord.-related billing - status acc.to target qty
Billing is based on the sales document. The target quantity determines the billing status.
Item categories G2N (Credit memo) and L2N (Debit memo) are set up with billing relevance "C" in the standard system.
F - Order-related billing doc. - status according to invoice qty
Relevant for order-related billing documents based on the invoice receipt quantity (third-party business transaction). The system transfers the order into the billing due list only after the vendor invoice has been received and processed in the purchasing department. After the receipt of each invoice, a  customer invoice is created for the quantity that appears on the vendor invoice. The order has status "Billed" until the next vendor invoice is received.
Item category TAS (Third party item) is set up with billing relevance "F" in the standard system.
This process can also be related to the quantity of goods receipt.
You can make the control setting as to whether the invoice receipt quantity or the goods receipt quantity should be relevant for billing in the copy control for billing on the item level in the billing quantity field.
    In Customizing, choose
Sales and Distribution -> Billing -> Billing documents -> Maintain Copying Control for Billing Documents -> Copying Control: Delivery to Billing Document -> Item,
    then select an item category.
    Best Regards,
    Amit

  • Billing relevance - Order related billing - based on GR (not IR)

Having some difficulty getting our order related item category to be relevant for billing once we have processed the GR on the corresponding VPO.
We have set multiple configurations on the item category and copy control, but none have worked.
All seem to require the IR as well, even though the billing relevance description says otherwise.
    Any tips?
    Thank you for your time.

In the standard system Indivdual PO & third party scenarios are
supported with item category TAB (del rel.) & TAS (order rel.)
Item Cat Bil Relv    Copy control Bil Qty      System reaction
F                      F                    The order does not
                                                    appear on the Due list
                                                    until Inv verification

                                                    list immediately after

  • Phantom with Outside processing

    Hi all,
    pls help me.
I have an assy with a routing with outside processing but I often need to change to phantom this assy. So this assy result phanto for a BOM and non Phantom for another BOM.
I need also to count the time of resources used for phantom items so I enable the flag in BOM parameter "Use Phantom Routings".
The problem is that: for Jobs in whitch the subassy is phantom I need all its resources that go up to the parent but NOT the Outside processing.
for jobs in whitch the subassy is NOT phantom the outside processing is correct.
Is there any way to solve this request? I try to use alternates bills and routing but WIP consider only the alternative BOM and/or routing of the parent and not even of the phantom subassy.
is there someone who can help me?
    really really thanks
    Alex

    Hello Rafik ,
Hope this will give you an idea about Subcontracting Operation :
    Subcontracting Steps:
    1.  Define all the materials in your plant (subcontracting and packaging etc).
    2.  In the material master MRP 4 view there is one field in which you can mention that this material is not relevant to MRP planning, use this field for subcontracting material so that it will not be planned in MRP runs ( generally use this field for re-order point planning).
    3.  In the BOM for the subcontracting material put the special procurement key as Subcontracting and do not keep relevance for costing.
    4.  If you're using packaging material of your company and want to capture the cost of these materials in the subcontracting production order then put relevance for cost.
    5.  Define alternate BOMs for each customer.
    6.   Generally the routing will be the same but materials will change, define different prodcution versions for each alternate BOM and assign to the routing.
    7.   Define the activite types for packing and mixing in the work center and assign them to the cost center, use these for your routing.
    8.  Whenever you recive a sub-contracting order, use the relevant production version depending on the customer.
9.Please use control key PP02 (customizing in OP00)in routing and maintain
    info record for subcontracting vendor
In my place all the palnts belong to the same client in sap and they want to use the same material code in both plants, so I think my subcontracting scenario might be different from yours but it give you some ideas to go about it.

    Jia

  • Update VBUP-FKSTA (billing relevancy) during creation of invoice

    Hi,
We pack items in a delivery. Due to this an extra item is added to the delivery with a ZPAC item category. This item category is set as billing relevancy.
We have created a requirement in copy control that we only want these items in the intercompany invoice, and not in a regular invoice F2. The invoice is created for the customer without the packaging materials and the intercompany invoice has all the items. This requirement is only in a specific scenario for only one shipping point. The customer does not need to pay for the packaging materials, but the intercompany sales organization does.
Now the delivery is still open because the billing relevancy is 'A' (vbuk-fksta), but we actually do not copy it to the invoice. The billing relevancy for the intercompany (vbuk-fkivp) is set to 'C'. We would like to set the vbuk-fksta automatically (if possible) during creation of the F2 invoice to 'C'.
We know transaction VL_COMPLETE we can do this manually.
I tried some user exits but at the moment I can not find the routine where it actually updates this status. And whether there is a user exit (or enhancement) possible to influence this ourselves, so we do not need to update this by hand.

  • Creation of Budget Billing Plan for Countries with Tax Jurisdiction

    Hello Experts,
When I create a budget billing plan for a company code with country Canada/USA and jursidiction TAXCAJ/TAXUSJ using transaction EA61, I get the message "Taxes with jurisdiction code not permitted with down payments"(Message no. >0194).  The long text for this message says "Delete your entry in the field for jurisdiction code"  Is any one aware where from this jurisdiction code should be deleted.
Is it possible to create budget billing plan for countries with jurisdiction code at all ?
    Thanks in advance
    Venkat

    Hello Roopali,
What I learnt in the process of exploring the functionality is that Payment PLan (BBP or AMB) is the budget billing method for countries with Tax Jurisdiction. Statistical, Partial & Payment Scheme only works when jurisdiction is not defined for tax procedure. Payment scheme is the recommend procedure for Eurpopean market
    Thanks for your clarification

  • Item category Billing Relevance

    Hi All
Can i exactly understand what is the exact impact on the system for the Billing relevance in the item category?
If I set it as 'B' -Relevant for order-related billing - status according to order quantity
If I set it as 'C'- Relevant for order-related billing - status according to target quantity
I could not understand the impact of the Billing status.
Lets say for eg. If I raise an order for 10 Nos. & deliver 8 Nos & bill what would be the status of billing if I choose "B" & what would be the Billing status if I choose "C".
    Looking for your feedback
    Thanks & Regards
    Aravind

    HI there,
Option B: Relevant for order-related billing - status according to order quantity
Billing is based on the sales document. The requested delivery quantity determines the billing status.
Item categories REN (Returns) and BVN (Cash sales items) are set up with billing relevance "B" in the standard system.
Option C: Relevant for order-related billing - status according to target quantity
Billing is based on the sales document. The target quantity determines the billing status.
Item categories G2N (Credit memo) and L2N (Debit memo) are set up with billing relevance "C" in the standard system.
For eg: You order 10 quantities. But you create 2 partial deliveries of 5 each. If option B is selected, system considers order quantity 10. If option C, then it considers target quantity 5.
    Hope this clarifies.
