The Toshiba drivers, utilities, and BIOS for the Satellite Pro A210-EZ2202X should work, because that machine is in the same PSAFHU part-number family. They are here.
The latest BIOS is this one.

Hi. I reported this to HP internally yesterday. You are not flying under the radar, so please be patient.
Have you tried a hard reset?
    1) Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
    2) Press and hold the power button for more than fifteen seconds.
    3) Plug in the DC power adapter (leave the battery out for now)
    4) Press the power button

  • Bios update failed, laptop doesn't boot

Hi everyone. I'm having a major problem with my HP 2000-355DX. I tried to update it to the latest BIOS version using the BIOS file I downloaded from the HP drivers and software section. The BIOS updated and then restarted. Upon restart the screen stayed black and the caps lock key blinked twice. I found out that this means a BIOS corruption error. I have tried booting with windows key + B but it does not work.  Is there anyway I can create a BIOS recovery flash drive? I dont get why this would happen

I downloaded the original BIOS and extracted it onto a flash drive named HP_Tools. I then booted the PC while pressing windows key + B. The lights begin to blink on the USB stick and blick for about 5 seconds before the caps lock key starts blinking again. This leads me to believe the PC is searching for a BIOS recovery file but can not find out. Can anyone help with this?

  • Satelite P300 does not boot after failed Bios update

    Hi everyone,
I have tried to update the bios of a P300 using this :
    18/03/10
    BIOS Update
    Toshiba Windows 7 - 32 Bit 4.20-WIN32 World Wide
Which I downloaded from here: http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=UK after entering my laptops specifications.
The flash process hanged during the update and the laptop became unbootable, blank screen when powering on and nothing else...
I tried using the Phoenix Emergency Crisis application, created a floppy disk with the Bios image file that I have earlier downloaded but managed nothing.
The USB floppy driver access the floppy when entering the recovery mode, I hear some beeps that indicate that a process takes places, but when everything stops and reboot...the problem remains.
-Has anyone got a clue what to do next?
-Is the warranty void after a bios update attempt?
    Thank you for yor time.

    Hi buddy,
You should check the forum content or with other words, use the forum search firstly before you ask something. Failed BIOS update is not unusual and can happen always. The forum contains already a lot threads about this and the only solution is contacting an ASP. The guys have professional tools to recover it.

    hi alirj,
Your issue might be similar to this thread.
Can you try to disable UEFI by:
    1. Booting into the BIOS (press F2 after you turn the computer ON)
    2. In the Boot Tab, set UEFI to disabled or legacy mode and press F10 to save and exit.
    3. Try to repair your Windows installation and observe.

  • Satellite L100 - How to download and install BIOS update?

I bought this Satellite L100 in 2006, and it dawned on me that by now I might need a BIOS update (the laptop sometimes freezes at Startup).
I found an update on the Satellite website dating July 6th 2007 but the download instructions are confusing and the driver(s) simply don't come through. Can someone help me with another link for this download?

    >how do I 'uncheck' HDD, In msconfig?
What do you mean by uncheck? Do you want to disconnect the HDD or to remove it from the notebook?
In msconfig you can disable (uncheck) the processes which are running in the OS background! You cannot disable HDD in msconfig.
    >. I also experience breaks in the sounds of Window message tunes and short freezing moments in all webvideo's I run. Could this have something to do with a bad connection with the HDD
I doubt the HDD connection could cause this Maybe the HDD itself
It would be interesting to know if the same would happen using a new HDD and fresh installed OS. I had a Win XP installed on my notebook. It was a long time since new installation the notebook and OS were soo slowly because many registry keys were corrupted.
I installed the OS again, cleaned the OS using CCLeaner, disabled not necessary background processes and the notebook ran much faster

  • Toshiba support bios update bricked my laptop.

I flashed my bios on the 2nd May at 7:44pm, prior to this I closed any running programmes etc, I clicked the bios utility that I downloaded from the Toshiba support website, it said it was updating the bios from 2.10 to 2.20, the laptop went to reboot and just died, absolutly inopperable, I push the power button and two clicks comes from the DVD drive and thats it, no HDD activity whatsoever..., I contacted Toshiba and spent £7 on the call only to be told that Toshiba wernt liable for the damage, I googled it and it appears that I am far from an isolated case, infact several other Toshiba customers have experienced the exact same thing, is this a scam by Toshiba to generate extra revenue from suckers like myself who go to their support page and trust Toshiba when downloading utilities from Toshiba, I have now been told that I have to pay £224 for a new motherboard, that is unacceptable, thats like me smashing someones window, knocking their door and charging them £100 to fix it, has any one else had a similar experience or know anyone else who has?

I have been racking my brain to try to get my girlfriend's P755 running windows 7 to communicate with my XP print server. I came to the Toshiba website and found the BIOS update to 2.7. The issue the update addressed didn't fit the network issue I was having but I figured what the heck it can't hurt,, right? Ha,,, Wrong. I followed the flash instructions to the T and when the PC re-booted wham Windows froze on the splash screen. After calling Toshiba where they tried to relieve me of $50 to assist me since her PC is a couple of months out of warranty I came to the website and found the F2,, F12 ESC instructions, none of which would get me into the BIOS setup screen. I even tried holding down the F2 key as someone mentioned while turning on the power to no avail. So I will share with everyone what I did to get into the BIOS and what I found when I got there. I held down the ESC key before hitting the power button then after the screen flashed once I hit the F2 key and voila I was in. Then when I got to power setting where I had to select allow network to wake PC <enable> <disable> it would not accept either entry and reported both a INVALID. I hit escape and backed out of BIOS and entered again and somehow managed to blow by power setting and set everything to the defaults. Oh one other thing. If you decide to burn the flash program to a CD it will go through the motions and even verify the CD but there isn't anything on it. Is Toshiba that hard up for money that they're trying to scam us or what? I personally own three Toshiba notebooks but the last one I bought may be "the last one I ever buy" if I encounter an issue like this again. Never in 30 years of dealing with PCs have I have a BIOS flash crash on me. What's up Toshiba?!?!?!?!?!?! You put out a bogus update then try to charge people $50 for a three minute fix that ended up taking me three hours? For shame,, for shame.

  • Equium A210-1AS - After BIOS update it becomes hot

Hey, wondering if anyone can help here ...
Currently have a Toshiba Equium A210-1AS with BIOS version 1.80 ver 1.00PARTTBL 4/8/2008.
Since the BIOS was updated some time ago to this version 1.80 the computer has become hot very quickly and therefore performance of the laptop has decreased.
I looked on the Toshiba support site and the only version upgrade to 2.00 was not compatible with this notebook.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The short model number is PSAFJE
    Thankyou

    Hi
I have checked the Toshiba website and I didnt see any BIOS update for the Equium A210 PSAFJE. That means a BIOS update was never released for this notebook normally.
For me it sounds like that you have updated the BIOS with a version for another Equium A210. So you should go to an authorized service provider. The technicians can install the right BIOS version for you (downgrade).

  • Toshiba bios update

Ok so I just finally ran the recommended updates toshiba has been bugging me about at startup for the longest time and ran into an issue. Turns out there was a bios update hidden in there and I'm not sure that it finished properly. It ran the update fine from toshiba's update manager thing but after that it immediately restarted and continued updating from that actual bios menu and everything went smoothly until it finished. Now my laptop is stuck at this update screen saying its 100% done but refuses to respond in any other way, no keyboard keys do anything and the power button is unresponsive. I've been considering just yanking the battery out but I wanted to ask someone who knows what they're doing before bricking my pc. Here's a picture of the screen it's locked at and I'll include some specs: http://imgur.com/iRRDnwS

    Windows 8.1
Bios details are in the picture but it seems to be insydeH2O 1.3 updating to version 1.6
If you'd like any more details let me know and I'll try to get them.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Yeah I held it for quite some time, everything was completely unresponsive. Fortunately I got if fixed today, I'll leave what happened in case someone has this specific problem. Turns out the bios was flashed successfully and it had fortunately frozen once things were stable. All that I needed to do was unplug the power and poke the tiny reset button underneath to force it to shut off and things rebooted just fine. Easy fix even if it was a little lucky, I'm just glad everything turned out ok. Thanks for the help Jerry!
