Blank Implementation windows in Edit Transformation Library

We have a curious thing happening with our network copy of OWB 10.2. When attempting to edit or view the contents of an imported package, the Package Spec and Package Body appear blank in both the Implementation window and the Code Editor. We know there's code there. The package also deploys with the proper code. We can't figure out why this phenomenon is happening or how to get it to display properly.
Curiously still, this same editor displays normally when I access the same package on my local 10.2 database.
Neither machine has the 10.2.0.4 patch installed.

We have the same problem in OWB 10.2.0.4.
Some imported package specs and bodies are blank in Code Editor and Implementation window.
Since the code editor is not editable, we cannot manually write code in package definitions.
Have you resolved this issue???

How do I uninstall and reinstall all of iMovie 10.0? When launched the screen is only a blank gray window.

I was in the process of editing a video and the screen when to random lines. After a restart, the computer is fine, but iMovie won't start up anymore. When iMovie is launched there is only a blank grey window that is shown. The menus are still accessable from the top of the screen, but the window never changes. I deleted iMovie and reinstalled it from the App Store, but when launched the same thing happens. What other items need to be deleted and reinstalled? Has anyone else had a similar issue?

I have a MacBook Air with an Intel HD 3000 graphics card. To clarify, I was able to install and use iMovie 10.0. Something happened while I was working in the program and iMovie crashed. Now when I launch iMovie I only get a grey window, that typically would have shown the library of projects and preview screen.
In old school Mac, there were preference files that could be corrupt and might need to be deleted. But, I'm unfamiliar with all the extra files that have been installed when iMovie was installed.

Raw 6.41 update issue blank white window

Prior to Camera Raw 6.41 update, PSE9 Organize opened and performed as designed.
Immediately after the update, and clicking Organize, it opens with an empty white square window appearing to mid right and half outside the PSE9 window.
Organizer will eventually open; however, if one clicks anywhere inside the PSE or blank white square, a dialogue immediately appears noting that PSE is NOT RESPONDING.
Clicking Edit produces no such blank white widow.
Once Edit is open and clicking Organizer, the blank white window does not appear.
I am certain the blank white window is not intended.

I just spent a long time at the Genius Bar trying to figure this out. What finally worked was updating Safari (because iTunes is part of the web browser). So try that.

System Preferences opens to a blank, white window

I erased my drive when I set up a Dual 2.7GHz G5 tower for sale, and installed Leopard. Updated to 10.5.4. Then found that when I open System Preferences, I get a blank white window. I can go to the dock item and click to select a particular tab, but it only changes the window size. It is still all white.
The menu bar items also display only white. Any ideas??? I'm stumped. Also sold the G5, so must get it fixed ASAP.

I don't know if this will help: it used to work well in 10.3 and earlier, and quite often in 10.4.
Strange behaviour by System Preferences can often be fixed by trashing com.apple.preferencepanes.cache in Home > Library > Caches folder. Trash com.apple.preferencepanes.searchindexcache as well if you have it.
If this alone doesn't fix things after a logout/login, then trash them again (because it will have regenerated more bad files), together with com.apple.systempreferences.plist in Home > Library > Preferences folder, and in the Home > Library > Preferences > ByHost folder, the files com.apple.systempreferences.xxxxxx.plist, where xxxxxx = a hexadecimal numeric string.
You need to log out and log back in again for this to have any effect (or restart if you prefer).
If none of this helps, you will need to look in your log files to find out why your preference panes are not opening: the simplest way to do this is to use Console.
Open the Console application from /Applications/Utilities. It will default to showing the "Console Messages" and possibly the "system.log". Use the File menu if necessary to get both these logs open, and use the Broom tool to Clear both windows.
Now try to open System Preferences and see what appears in either of these windows. Copy and paste it here.
You may see a message saying "Crash report written to <pathname of crash.log>". If so, click on the "Logs" icon at the top left in the tool bar (preferably in another window). Then, depending on the <pathname of crash.log> in your message, look under either ~/Library/Logs or /Library/Logs by clicking the disclosure triangle, then click the disclosure triangle for "CrashReporter".
Find the crash log corresponding to your message and select it. It will open at the end of the log. Look back for the last line of asterisks in the log, then post everything after that to the end of the log.

My MacBook Pro Retina's Bluetooth chipset unknown/odd login message on the login screen states Login Window Authentication Login window Name edit text has keyboard focus. In addition, the login screen is not remembering me

I have been experiencing several issues with my MacBook Pro Retina mid 2012. My MBPR is scheduled to go into the depot. However, I am wondering if anyone may be able to shed light on a few issues as this is the third "official" time my MBPR is going back for service ("one depot" trip; "one authorized" dealer; several in-store visits).
My Bluetooth is stating that the Bluetooth Chipset is Unknown (0). I also have had Bluetooth Preferences mysteriously change on me. In addition, while Bluetooth is off there are two serial modems turning on. I have turned them off, but they continue to pop up.
In addition, when I log in, my MBPR is not remembering me and my login name is not appearing on the slate-gray screen. The name and password are blank and the following message appears in the lower left hand corner. "login window authentication login window Name edit text has keyboard focus." As a side note, I am the only user. The login issue is a recent occurrence as we just totally wiped it again via a Command + R, and I don't believe I have an accessibility setting set to anything that would cause this, but wanted to check.
Should I be concerned here? Has anyone else had issues like this? I don't want to worry if I don't have to. I have had so many issues over the course of nine months. 5-6 wipes. Airport card replaced and I am about to pull my hair out if my MBPR doesn't come back worldly like clock work this time. I just can't send my days trying to get a $2300 product to work for me any longer. No idea what is wrong with it, but it is driving me insane. Cross your fingers for me and any guidance you have or thoughts would be welcomed. Thank you. EMM

There are a ton of other warnings. Before I go through this again, can someone tell me if this is normal (all of it -- above too); or if these are symptoms is a keystroke logger or hardware issues?
I ask because originally, when my computer went in for diagnostics (more than once), Apple stated the hardware was fine (other than Airport Card -- finally). However, if I've done 5-6 total wipes; created new users; do not have sharing set-up; have not played around in Terminal; and am up-to-date with versions -- and various issues KEEP COMING BACK -- I am left wondering if a keystroke logger would be possible here?!? I thought maybe a faulty logic board, but why would diagnostics be okay, then? Not trying to be hyperbole, just desperate.
Please help me rule keystroke logger out or at least, tell me so I know, so I can take appropriate action. If you think it could be the logic board with symptoms above, that would be a great too.

How to prevent iTunes for Windows from "Updating iTunes Library"?
My library is on a NAS and managed by iTunes on a Mac. I can connect from wife's Windows laptop using iTunes for Windows but every time I do, it Updates iTunes Library. Next time I log in from my Mac it Updates iTunes Library in return. It appears I'm experiencing "Update Wars" between the Mac and Windows versions of iTunes. I would like to allow my wife to stream iTunes songs to her new laptop but I don't want any updates from this source... prefer to manage the library from my Mac and not allow Windows to do any thing other than listen to existing playlists.

Connect the PC to the library on the NAS. Wait while "updated".
Under Edit > Preferences > Advanced make sure the media folder is correctly pointed at the media folder on the NAS. If not correct, close iTunes, wait a few moments, then open iTunes again.
Close iTunes on the PC. Do not open iTunes on the Mac.
Copy the library files, iTunes Library.itl, iTunes Library Extras.itdb, iTunes Library Genius.itdb, sentinel and the folder Album Artwork into an empty iTunes folder on the PC, for example C:\iTunes.
Click the icon to start iTunes and immediately press and hold down SHIFT. Keep holding until prompted to choose or create a library. Click choose and browse to the copied .itl file, e.g. C:\iTunes\iTunes Library.itl
The library should now work properly on the PC, however check the setting for the media folder. If needs be correct, close iTunes and reopen.
Open iTunes on the Mac. It will update again, but that should be last time.

Unwanted blank untitled windows.

My Safari 6.0.5 on my MacPro with OS 10.7.5 opens to a blank untitled window instead of the home page I selected in Preferences. I also get a blank untitled window when I access a web page using a link when Safari is my default browser. Any ideas?

Navigate to the site you want for your Homepage.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the General tab.
Click Set to Current Page
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following;
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.Safari.list file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari and reset your Homepage one more time.

Clicking curved reply arrow in status column produces blank message window

I have a bunch of messages in an On My Mac mailbox for which clicking on the curved reply arrow in the status column opens a blank message window with the wrong title. Something has obviously gone wrong with the links.
Is there a way to fix this?

Let it be recorded here that the solution is to quit Mail, remove the "Envelope Index" file from ~/Library/Mail, relaunch Mail and allow it to import all of your mail. The solutions posted elsewhere about rebuilding the sqlite3 database with the "vacuum" parameter aren't sufficient. I've also discovered that changing the return address associated with a particular mail account will break the links between messages and their replies.

You can not do like that.
Code in routine would look like that (I am not sure if it is correct I just copy this from transfer rules generated report):

IDVD 08 update (blank Preview window)

I am using iDVD08 and when use the software it displays a blank preview window (black screen, sound plays fine). This of course means I cannot create DVD menus, add videos to drop frames etc. Other Forums online say that a software update available for this version of iDVD resolves the problem, however, when i go onto 'Software update' on the apple menu, there doesn't seem to be an update available for iDVD or iLife. I cannot click on check for updates on the iDVD menu. Is there somewhere else i can download this software update from?? The support downloads on the apple website don't seem to have helped, when I have attempted to install them they say that a newer version of the software is already installed.

Try the following:
1 - delete the IDVD preference file, com.apple.iDVD.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete IDVD'S cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iDVD folder.
3 - launch IDVD and try again.

NVidia GTX 770M boots to blank terminal window

Apologies if this ends up being a trivial question but I've been Googling for a while and nothing has worked so far.
I have a laptop with an NVidia GTX 770M Optimus card and I'm struggling with display issues with the NVidia drivers. Before installing the drivers the machine booted to the DM fine, but after installing them and generating an xorg.conf with the NVidia tool it will only boot to a (virtually) blank terminal window. The only message that appears is:
/dev/sda4: clean, 242320/15179776 files, 2408585/60689590 blocks
Occasionally this is accompanied by some text about starting services, but the cursor always remains blinking at the end of the process and the login window does not appear. The window is not technically black like if there were no display being rendered at all. Ctrl-F2 etc. to get into terminal modes works fine.
Strangely enough, if I remove xorg.conf then I can reach the login screen fine, so I'm assuming this is a problem with X. There appears to be no xorg log no matter where I look. I've also tried installing the linux-mainline kernel under advice from other posts but with no success. Bumblebee is installed and set up to start on boot.

Let me know if there's any more information I need to provide.

I'm definitely no expert here at all, so none of this may be helpful. I have an Optimus setup myself, and I used it with Bumblebee (the Wiki has instructions). I had no problems booting and I never used an xorg.conf. This seems to echo what you are saying.
Your posted xorg.conf seems to be faulty though -- at least for using the "Optimus" setup whereby BOTH cards are used. If you only want to run on your nVidia card and bascially cut out the Intel one, the xorg.conf needs some tweaking (again, see the Wiki). But you will also have to REMOVE the Intel drivers from your machine -- at least I did.
I am not at home right now, so I can;t post my xorg.conf for you. (The Wiki has a copy, though.)
Note: My card is a GTX730M, not a 770. This may also make a difference.

Blank Topic Window is Displayed

I am working on Search part of the navigator window. I generated the index file (.idx) by running the following command line:
C:\Program Files\ohelp>java -mx64m oracle.help.tools.index.Indexer -l=en_US -e=8
859_1 C:\TestHelp\topics myIndex.idx
When I typed in word in the search combo box, it provided me the search results. However, when I selected a topic and clicked open, it displayed a blank topic window. I don't know what I've done wrong. Please guideline me.

I would like to ask you question about the search functionality. Can it be invoked externally? Our team is going to create a custom user interface that performs searching. Let's say we build a Java application and have a text field for user to enter words for help. Once he/she enters the keyword and presses Enter on the keyboard. The system retrieves the relevant topics matching with the input words. Then, the system displays those relevant topics on the screen. When the user double click those topics to display, the topic window is shown with assoicated contents. Can we implement this scenario by using the OHJ? If we can, please help us get started.

Editing my library, lags and slows up the proccess

while editing my library I find that the system lags and it becomes very frustrating when I have to wait for the system to do what I need it to do. I have one of macs most recent and their more powerful units. I do have quite an extensive music library that I am always trying to work with and get as much info on it as possible. I am becoming disappointed with how things are going and even concidering finding another media format. this is not what I prefer, but if I am unable to come to a good resolution for this I don't see a choice. any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Since you can click on it to delete it give this a try: Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1 if needed.
If that doesn't fix the problem continue with:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button,
and select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. (This is the downside to the method but it should give you functioning library with no bad actors in it.)
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

Often when I click on a link to open an email to go to in an article, it opens a blank FF window and not the email format it should.

Since upgrading to FF 4.0 when I click on an email link it never opens to that link but to a blank FF window.
Would FF 5.0 fix that or what do I do?
I'm afraid to use 5.0 because 4.0 caused a multitude of problems for me, not all fixable.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Firefox opens as a blank white window when NVidia Stereoscopic 3D is enabled.

I just recently got a 3D HD Monitor for my desktop and I noticed that if nvidia's steroscopic 3D is enabled, firefox (and thunderbird) open as a completely blank white window. If you right click anywhere in the window it shows up as a blacked out rectangle. The minimize, maximize and close buttons do work if you know where to click.

I had the same problem as I reported in Bug 643316 in March. I uninstalled the 3D Vision drivers at the time and the problem went away. Today when I installed the NVIDIA 285.27 beta, I installed 3D Vision again, and I can no longer reproduce the problem. It did NOT require a clean install for me.
