  • Blurry Camera- Lumia 1520

My Lumia 1520 camera recently started getting blurry photos and videos too.
It dropped once on the ground and its frame displaced a bit at its upper right corner . Resetting phone didn't help.
Unfortunately Nokia Care isn't available in my country (Iran).
    May you help me?

    Hi,
Were you able to get your camera issue sorted? I have been using a Nokia Lumia 1520 since the last 10 months and have noticed the same problem as yours. Whenever I click a photo with a lot of tube lights and bulbs in the background, I see rays around the light making the picture very blurry.
This never happened earlier; only since the last 10-15 days.
I'm not sure if Nokia can fix that; its still under warranty.

  • HT4623 blurry camera

I'm having problems with camera. Ever since I downloaded the update ALL of my pictures come out blurry even if I wait for the camera to focus. I've tried cleaning the carema and I'm still having this problem please help.

1st... make sure nothing's covering/smudging the camera lens.  then...
    Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove the Camera app from Recently Used list...
    - From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
    - Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
    - Press the red to delete the Camera app from this list.
    - Press the home button twice when done.
    - Restart the Camera app
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

  • Blurry camera and pics after ios7!! Help!

    PPics and camera blurry now.

Definitely sounds like an auto-focus issue. If you haven't already done this, try the following in order to eliminate the possibility of faulty software: Back up your personal data somewhere (iCloud etc). Wipe your phone and reinstall the software from scratch to factory settings. Set up the phone like a brand new phone, without adding your personal data or settings back onto it. Open the camera app and see if the issue still persists on a brand new fresh install, free of 3rd party apps and extra data. If this fixes the problem, then the answer could be software related (a third party app you downloaded could be causing it etc).
If you've already tried wiping and resetting your software a million times in a million different ways and you're sick of people telling you to wipe and reset your phone, it must be a hardware issue. There are various sensors and lenses and other gadgets involved in the process of automatically focusing the camera. It could be that one of these gadgets is malfunctioning (dust, shock, moisture damage etc), and for some programming reason the malfunction didn't cause your photos to be blurry until the software was changed in iOS7. Considering the massive changes to the photo app in iOS7, it's entirely possible that the software is using the sensors and lenses differently now than it used to.
If you're not under warranty or applecare, most 3rd-party iphone repair guru type shops can replace the camera module in your phone, which should replace all of the gadgets involved in auto-focus. I don't think this procedure would cost very much (compared to buying a new phone). If that doesn't work, It might be time to get a new phone. I'm sorry I don't have any better news. Who knows, maybe someone will discover a solution that's much simpler. But without seeing the phone in person, I can't really do much more. Good luck

  • IPhone 4s blurry camera

After I did an upgrade, my back camera is all blurry now. The Front one used for Face Time is crystal clear but my normal camera I use all the time is blurry.... can I get it back to normal?

    Hello heathert2484
Check out the Camera section in the iPhone Hardware Troubleshooting article below. You may also want to try to restore your iPhone and test to see if it is software that is causing the issue.

  • IPhone 4 blurry camera?

I have noticed that the reason my
Pictures are incredibly blurry is because of the plastic or glass protector
Being so scratched. Is this possible to fix just by removing the backplate?
If i go into the apple store (my phone is still under warranty) could they fix it?
This really bugs me because i take pics all the time but now its practically impossible to tell
    What is in the pic...

I'm having similar issues with blurry images taken with the rear facing camera. I did some very unscientific tests with a friend of mine who also has an iPhone 4 and my photos definitely looked to be in soft focus compared to his. I will say though that it does seem erratic, I do occasionally get a sharp focused image. I am also wondering if I am expecting too much since I am used to images taken with my Nikon D90. But then again even the images taken with my 3G weren't as blurry.
I think I will try the software restore someone mentioned, can't hurt.

  • How to fix iPhone 5 blurry camera with no warranty?

The rear camera is blurry and won't focus. I took it to the apple store and they said there was nothing they can do except pay to replace it. I do not want to pay to replace it. It is over warranty but I've only had it for about a year and a half. This is really really annoying especially because I use the rear camera on a daily basis. I see that there are many forums about this and apple has so far done nothing to fix this. I tried the slapping method and it didn't work. I tried to restore it and no luck. Please help :(

Apple have told you the answer needs a replacement and that is $269 in US

  • Misty screen and blurry camera ?

Okay so my new iPhone 4S I got for Christmas     was working fine until yesterday when the   screen looks like it has a misty effect on it. It's really weird. And also because of the misty effect the back camera has gone all blurry. I have cleaned it many of times but it is still blurry the front face camera works perfectly. I have dropped it once or left it in the shower . I just turned it of over night and in the morning when I turned it on it looked like it had a effect ??  when there is a icon this is a outline of lines from the icon the the edge of the screen. Lucky I have a ipad so I can use this instead  what should I do to get it fixed ??!!!❓❓❗️❗️

    Hi Elschapmanx,
I'm sorry to hear your iPhone 4S is not working great as it should.  I have done a bit of research, and I would like to suggest you to do a backup of all your data (e.g. contacts, calendars, email, etc.) using iTunes and then perform a fresh installation of the iOS.
It might sound a bit drastic, but it is better to make sure this issue is not associated to a software failure, so if after the clean installation and before restoring your personal data the problem persists we can see what we can do.
    Cheers,
    Miguel

  • Camera blurry on front not on back after update

How to fix blurry camera?   If using back ok front blurry  any ideas?

The front camera will ALWAYS be blurry, no matter what!! If you want to take selfies, try flipping your phone or ipad around so you're facing the back camera. Yes, it'll take 10 extra photos to get it right, but at least it'll be clear! That's what I do.

  • Camera blurry after last update how to fix?

Blurry camera after last update on I pad.  How to fix?

    Hello Littlebit5,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with the camera on your iPad.  I recommend following steps 3-8 below for the issue you described  (these steps refer to an iPhone, but these steps are applicable to an iPad as well):
    Camera isn't functioning
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Third-party cases can interfere with the autofocus/exposure feature and the flash (iPhone 4 only); try removing the case if you have image-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. After recording begins, you cannot readjust focus until you stop recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll. Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.
My issue is still not resolved. What do I do next?

  • If only the camera had image stabilization!

it's nigh impossible to hold the camera still enough to get a sharp image.
it's cool how you click on a portion of the image to adjust brightness to that object and also bring up the zoom control.
    but, oh, "blurry cam".

So far there are no real anti-shake options for iPhone/iPod Touch.
The closest I've seen so far is an app called "Camcorder Pro - HD" by some company called "Game Lingo". I've never used it, but they have a feature that uses lines to track your image steadiness. It doesn't specifically adjust for image shake, but does give you a guide to monitor how shaky your hands are.
If you don't need to operate "hand-held", you might look into some "camera mounting system" specifically for iPhone/iPod Touch. I know that sounds a bit odd, but some people have experimented with iPhone mounting systems, trying to produce "professional looking" short films using their iPhones. Typically, they use some small adjustable clamps that hold the iPhone in place and attach them to other objects to achieve the same effect as a mini tripod.
Outside of that, you might look into software options available on your computer.
I wish I could give you a better answer, but there doesn't seem to be one at the moment.

  • Camera issue iOS 8.2 6 plus

I updated my iPhone 6 plus to 8.2 and my back camera went blurry and will not focus at all anymore and I've never had this issue

You may wish to get an appointment at an Apple store. I called tech support and they said they have been getting complaints about the blurry camera. They had me do a few fix-alls like reseting some settings... and although they misguided me into deleting my entire phone settings, they finally decided I needed to see a tech in person.
I went into the Apple store and it took them roughly 20-30 minutes to replace the lens, free of charge.
I believe the bill would have been $59 or something in that neighborhood but it was covered under some hardware guarantee.
Working fine now. Doesn't appear to have been related to the update.

  • Should I buy a n97

OK guys and girls my question is simple
    Should I buy the n97
I currently have a n96 and have been very happy with this I am wondering if the n97 is anything different to the n96. I no it has the application and the keyboard but is it any better for battery stability camera etc or is it just the same but in a better case?
I dont pretend to know everything like some people on these boards i am just trying to help. Its not all about the kudos.

    totoanon wrote:
Is the n97 really any different to the n96 that I have. My main problem with the n96 was the lack of firmware updates and the poor battery and the blurry camera, It looks to me like I will get the same problems with the n97
It's a very different beast than the N96.
The N97 has much better battery life than the N96.  It has a 1500mah battery compared to pathetic 950mah in the N96.
In my opinion the camera on the N97 is better than the N96's which I never liked.  I've had some very nice sharp pictures from it under good lighting.  V20 seems to have improved it further.  Under low light it struggles like most phone cams but the results i've got from the N97 are much better than what I got from an N96.   The post above is incorrect as it's not the same part that's used in both phones.
Also don't forget the touchscreen, larger screen, higher resolution that's great compared to the N96's fuzzyness.  You get the FM transmitter, improved audio quality through headphones, USB charging, full qwerty keypad, 32gb plus card slot and good build quality compared to the N96.  The web browser on the N97 is also much better than the N96's.  Personally i've never had any out of memory errors on the N96 or N97.
The N97 has been well served by updates so far but obviously some networks (and countries) are worse than others at passing them on to the customer.
Ultimately only you can make the decision if you want one or not.  Like I said yesterday you are far more likely to see negative comments on a support forum than positive ones.

Basic troubleshooting steps right out of the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.  If you've been through ALL the steps and you still have the problem, then you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.
