Bookmark links for OBI in an iFrame

Hi,
We have OBI within an iFrame within an ADF portal with a SSO solution. The URL to access portal is a different one than the standalone analytics instance. When we create bookmarks in OBI it generates a link with the portal URL and on trying to use this it just gets to the landing page of the portal and not the OBI application.
Has anyone successfully generated a bookmark link when OBI is sitting in an iFrame within a portal?

Hi,
I've seen some notes (http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/dashboard_url) on using the javascript function linkToPage(bInlineDrill,bGetBookmarkOnly) which depending on the parameters used (true/false) can prevent the address bar being updated and populates the variable saw.bookmarkURL with the bookmark link, however i'm having trouble getting it to work.
The note does specify for the Javascript function to work a HardenXSSconfiguration setting must be set to false - does this apply for 11g?
What is the security risk to the Presentation Layer if HardenXSSconfiguration is set to false ?
thanks

  • Replace the link "Create Bookmark Link" for "Download"

    When I execute a report from interactive columns in principal report ( published in the dashboard), I don't download for default, because this link not exist. Is it possible to replace the link “Create Bookmark Link” for “Download” (excel)?, Can I add additional link "Download" or "Export" to Excel?
    Thank.

    I don't understand what you want. Do you want a link that will download a Dashboard to Excel? Why do you want to replace the "Create Bookmark..." link? What's that got to do with your requirement?

  • ERROR 404 ON BOOKMARK LINK FOR USER GUIDE AFTER UPDATE TO VERSION 6, REST OF BOOKMARKS WORK FINE, ERROR 404 ON BOOKMARK LINK FOR USER GUIDE AFTER UPDATE TO VERSION 6, REST OF BOOKMARKS WORK FINE

    Received a 404 erorr on accessing "user guide" bookmark in safari after updating new ios to 6, rest of bookmars work fine. What is the address to the user guide for iphone 4s with ios 6 ?  Thanks

    To BradKY...
    No, this link is not fixed. It still comes up as "web page not found" (error 404). The ErrMsg comes on my 3gs iPhone bookmark for the "iPhone User Guide" -- which worked just fine prior to the upgrade to iOS 6 -- also this is a dead link via computer. The bookmark link is as follows: http://help.apple.com/iphone/6/  -- "The requested URL /apps/mobile/2.0/ was not found on this server -- Apache/2.2.3 (PU_IAS) Server at help.apple.com Port 80"

  • Adding a Bookmark Link

    Hello,
    I've been looking all over for how to create a bookmarking link for IE7 using Flash CS4 Action Script 3.
    I'm creating the button using the following code:
    BookMark_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,gotoBookMark_mc);
    function gotoBookMark_mc(event:MouseEvent):void
    URLLoader ("javascript:window.external.AddFavorite ('http://www.actionscript.org/','ActionScript.org Flash Resources');");
    I get the following error when I click the link straight from the SWF file:
    TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "javascript:window.external.AddFavorite ('http://www.actionscript.org/','ActionScript.org Flash Resources');" to flash.net.URLLoader. at 2_PCSP_Sharepoint_Intro_WT_fla::MainTimeline/gotoBookMark_mc()
    I published the SWF and the Index.html file, then accessed that .html file from my web server, but no luck.
    Any ideas on how to do this?
    Thanks in advance.

    you should really use a javascript function that tests for, at least, some common browser types.  and, you should use the externalinterface class to call that javascript function.  so, for example:
    <script language="JavaScript1.2" type="text/javascript">
    function bookMark(url,title) {
        if (window.sidebar) { // Mozilla Firefox Bookmark
            window.sidebar.addPanel(title, url,"");
        } else if( window.external ) { // IE Favorite
            window.external.AddFavorite( url, title); }
        else if(window.opera && window.print) { // Opera Hotlist
            //etc }
    </script>
    could be placed in your embedding html and you can use the following actionscript:
    BookMark_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,gotoBookMark_mc);
    import flash.external.ExternalInterface;
    function gotoBookMark_mc(event:MouseEvent):void {
        ExternalInterface.call('bookMark','http://www.actionscript.org/','ActionScript.org Flash Resources');

  • Favicon code for bookmark link on page displayed

    I have successfully added a favicon to the url bar and the browser tab and the page bookmark(firefox) or favorites(IE) feature.
    But, how do I add it to the bookmark link code I have put in the page template. I ask this because I have created a bookmark link on the page for the user to use in saving the location of the page without the session number in the bookmark/favorite. This is the code for the bookmark link:
    {div align=right}
    {a href="javascript:window.external.AddFavorite('http://apex.gov:XXXX/APP_NAME', 'APP_NAME')"}
    {span style="font-size: 11px;color:#333333"}Bookmark Site{/span}{/a}{div}
    Where would I put this part in?
    {link rel="shortcut icon" href="#WORKSPACE_IMAGES#favicon32.ico" type="image/x-icon"/}
    Please note that I used curly braces instead of pointy braces.
    Thanks,
    Maggie

    If you put the link to your favicon somewhere between the head tags of your page it should work (not tested though).

    Hi,
    It would appear that only Internet Explorer can make use of the JavaScript to achieve this:

    I'm not sure why the other browsers don't allow it, but I'd guess it's a privacy measure to prevent unscrupulous websites from automatically adding bookmarks to your browser.

  • Bookmark link on Dashboard page (11g)

    Experts,
    We have Placed the Create Bookmark link below the reports i.e. we did the below
    Action link -> Edit Action link - Text as Create Bookmark Link in Link Text -> Action -> Navigate to BI Content (Dashboard page from Shared folder) -> click OK ->
    Check enable the Add to Briefing Book -> Click OK.
    For the above it will directly open the dashboard page, but we need to create Prompted bookmark link i.e. where we'll give the prompts values and create the prompted bookmark link, it should open the dashboard page with filtered data.
    *(We know the option is available in Edit Dashboard - Create Prompted link, this option should come below the report)*
    Thanks,
    Balaa...

    Kavitha,
    Add a Action link -> Edit Action link - give text like Create Bookmark Link in Link Text -> Action
    Select the Dashboard page from Shared folder -> click OK -> Check enable the Add to Briefing Book -> Click OK.
    Thanks,

  • Coding "Add to favorites" links for Macs

    We recentely got our iMac and I noticed that the "Add to Favorites" link on my web site doesn't work when I'm using Safari. The link worked, and still works, when I use IE. Is there a different Java code that I need to use for bookmarking links on a Mac, or is there no way to bookmark pages without using a keyboard short-cut or the Bookmarks menu?

  • BW bookmark links to the portal.

    Hi,
       Can we integrate BW bookmark links in Enterprise Portal?
    If possible, I would like to know the steps required for integrating BW bookmark links in the Portal?
    Thanks
    Hari Krishnan K

    As I mentioned earlier to Ryan. See the link below. KM is only going to give you the Portal Favorites function which enables users to maintain their own bookmarks and personalize the links they wish to have. If you want greater flexibility and group distribution of the bookmarks click on my link below for additional info.

  • GENERATE A LINK FOR PURCHASE DOCUMENT

    Hi,
    our scope is to generate a link for a purchase document in a 45.B release.
    Manually we can, inside a PO, go to menu system>links and add a url link for the opened document (link type URL).
    Is it posible to generate this link form abap starting from the PO number with a bapi op function module ?
    Otherwise is it possible to customize the links in order to obtain some default values, always present in the links list  for all PO ?
    Best Regards
    Riccardo Galli

    A link is a hyper-link. Therefore, it should be applied to all readers or browsers. It should be applied to all protocols, PDF, HTML, and etc. If a link can contain page or bookmark information, readers or browsers should be able to go to that page or bookmark directly. They need not do it manually. This feature will be very good for reviewers when they have a lot of cross references in documents.

  • Where is OBE? Why link for articles redirect technology home page.

    I have bookmarks of lots of OBE demo. But now whenever I click on those link it redirect me to
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/tutorials/index.html
    Even the search facility provided here wont work. Recently I got link for oracle 11g new features by Arup nanda from web but when I click on it to open it, it redirect me to technology home page insted of directly to that articles. Even I am not able to search that articles as I dont know when it is first posted...
    Can any one help me to open this past link....

    At the bottom of the page link you posted above, there is this link - http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=9830:1:0::NO - that will take you to the OBE site.

  • How to add bookmark button for user to access application

    I would like to add a button that will be an 'ADD BOOKMARK' concept for the user so that they don't try to save the url that is generated at the time they run the application.
    I am using Apex 4.0.
    Is anyone familiar with this concept?
    I see it a lot on the internet with other websites.
    Thanks,
    Maggie

    This post is made for the future Apex users that need this info.
    I discovered a fantastic website that helped me generate the code needed for my apex page to add a bookmark link. This website is:
    http://www.webmaster-affiliates.net/bookmark-site_doit.php
    This was my code used (be sure to replace the curly brackets with a pointed less than/greater than bracket):
    {div align=right}{a href="javascript:window.external.AddFavorite('http://your.url.goes.here:7780/pls/apex/f?p=Graphics_Status', 'Graphics Status')"}Bookmark Site{a}{div}
    I created a page region and put the above code in the source field. Worked fantastic.

    Copy the page into your defined site (if you haven't
    already).
