Bootcamp error in control panel windows 7

After installing parallels 7 I couldn't boot into bootcamp anymore, why?

I'm still playing with my Parallels on 10.6 so it I remember right you have to "log out" completely out of Parallels. I can't remember the name but it sounds like you are using the "Desktop" emulator. It let's you stay in the Mac desktop and are able to just use the Windows applications in the background just like the Apple ones. The other way is to completely emulate Windows and have the Mac separate. You have to be able see the Windows hard drive (via Boot Camp) in or on the desktop in order to boot into Windows. You should be able to see both the "Mac HD" (or whatever you named it) and the "BOOTCAMP" hard drive icons.
Take a look at the manual and it should give you more information or go to the Parallels web site and they would have a better answer.
Hope that helped..

  • Lost Beats Audio Control Panel, Windows Experience Index and HP Power Manager on fresh install...

    HP Pavilion m6-1035dx, product B5S06UA#ABA
Please help! I installed a 240gb SanDisk Extreme SSD and a fresh install of Win 7 home premium 64-bit OEM. I did not reinstall the factory OS and all that goes along with it. I have managed to reinstall all drivers (it seems) but am having the following problems: 1) I have installed IDT HD Audio Driver sp56953 but it does not provide the Beats Audio control panel, any idea how to get it? 2) The Windows Experience Index will not provide a performance evaluation, something in the system is providing it with an error message when it attempts to rate the system and it stops. 3) I have installed HP Power Manager sp57398 and can bring up the control panel but the changes I indicate will not stay applied, when I bring up Power Manager again it show that no selections are made. I knew this fresh install was going to provide headaches, please help if you can. Thanks.

I suspect this may all be related to a common cause.
When updating the windows experience index, what is the error message you receive?
Has the video card driver been installed? It is necessary for the windows experience index to complete.
Also, ensure the HP Software Framework is installed.  It is under the Software Solutions category.
You did a clean install of Windows 7. Has all the software and drivers for Windows 7 from HP been installed? Here is a link should you need it.

  • No "trackpad" tab in Bootcamp 2.1 control panel

I want to enable "tap to click" for the trackpad but there is no Trackpad tab in the bootcamp control panel. I see only Startup Disk, Brightness, Remote, Keyboard, and Power.
My system is Macbook4,1 early 2008, winxp pro sp3. All bootcamp drivers are installed including Multitouch, Multitouch mouse, Trackpad, Trackpad Enabler.
    Please help...

I got the "trackpad" tab to show up after installing Boot Camp from my Snow Leopard disk rather than my old Macbook install discs. I have the early 2008 white Macbook model (4,1). I tried the trackpad download from Apple and got the "this update is not intended for this computer" popup, but now single tap and two-finger tap for right-click work perfectly in Windows Xp after the Boot Camp install from the Snow Leopard disc.
    Hope this helps.
EDIT: I should also note that my About Boot Camp screen shows v3.0 so maybe Apple will release another Boot Camp update for download?

  • WoW Control Panel Windows 8

Im not able to start the control panel for my WoW headset. I have Windows 8.1. I have tried starting it in compatible mode, doesnt work. I have restarted my computer more than 800 times since I installed the software. The headset works, but the control panel doesnt. This is the EXACT error message im getting:
I have no other choices other than clicking OK or the X. That closes the control panel in the background. I can't install a new firmwire version because "it doesnt detect any headsets". This is ridiculous.

    HoverCatz:
If you have WinRAR, WinZip, or the 100% free 7-zip, try this: download the WOW headset drivers latest version. Right click it and extract the files to a folder on your system and give that folder an easy to remember name.
Uninstall everything related to the WoW Headset completely. Reboot.
Install the headset again exactly as the documentation states, except when windows sees the USB device, let it install its built in drivers (if it has built in drivers, which windows 8 probably does). Reboot, and dont touch anything else before rebooting.
After reboot, go to device manager, find the WoW headset entry. Choose to update driver and Browse my computer option:
Browse to the driver sub folder in the folder that you extracted the Creative files to. It should install the Creative driver (look for an .inf to be sure this is a driver folder). Reboot. Try running the Creative installer again and it should now see the WoW headset as a compatible device. The Creative driver and the WoW software suite should now install fine.

  • Icloud control panel (windows PC) won't log in

    Hi,
I am trying to log into the iCloud Control Panel on my Windows 7 PC.  I always get an error that says "You can't sign in because of a sever error".  How do I find out what that error is and why it won't log in?
(BTW, I am going to the control panel so I can figure out how to change the photostream, which appears to be interfering with Windows Live Photo Gallery.  My PC always shows an "I" drive under Computer>Other, which is labelled the Photostream System Folder).
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Undoing iCloud Control Panel Windows XP Workaround

At least 3 sites discuss the same procedure to to make iCloud Control Panel for WIndows run under Windows XP.

How can I back track and remove the changes made to iCloud.msi making it a modified iCloud?
Changes made:  VersionNT>=600 changed to VersionNT>=200.
Rerunning iCloud.msi did not produce table with VersionNT and its value 200. Instead it shows VersionNT and in the next column 'VersionNT not supported'.

  • Icloud control panel Windows XP

Can someone PLEASE tell me how to connect my iPhone 4s to iCloud through my Windows XP computer?  What I find at Apple is a control panel for Windows Vista or Windows 7, which I do NOT have.  I want to download/upload pictures using PhotoStream.

Uniquer2, Just want to give you a huge thanks as people like you make communities slay alive. You made it possible to run it on win xp. thanks!!  I did you last suggestion but only downloaded the 32 bit versions of the files, ran the icloud.msi and everything is working! THANKS!!
DOOOHHHHH!!!!  I didn't realize it only syncs with Outlook 2007. I am still on 2003, I am poor. Wonder what I can find out there from FOSS which is like Microsoft Outlook. Thunderbird? Maybe there is a way to sync it somehow with my Gmail online? Who knows, just want to make sure I have my 2,000+ contacts backup'd up in multiple places as a fail safe. Been collecting em since I got a Palm Pilot back in 1997!! Everything is still with me, LOL. (It was a biiiatt****  going from Palm Sync to Outlook let me tell you, then into iPhone BUT well worth it.)

  • Photostream checkbox not available in iCloud control panel: Windows 7 PC, 64 bit

Photostream checkbox in iCloud control panel is not available to be checked. I've uninstalled & reinstalled maybe 4-5x now. Also tried switching from Chrome to Explorer 9 for downloading to see if that might help. Also have deleted everything Apple on my PC, & started from scratch. The very odd thing is, it used to work just fine. At some point within the last 2-3 months, there must have been an update that was installed, and I can no longer access the checkbox on photostream.Tech help could not figure out a solution either.

Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines troubleshooting information for using iCloud contacts on a Windows PC. It may be that your version of Outlook is not supported:

  • Icloud control panel windows 2.0 - selective sync?

Does anybody know if it's possible to only sync iCloud Contacts into Outlook, and not contact, calendar and mail. I specifically only want to sync contacts wiht Outlook, this way my contacts are all stored in the cloud, but available in Outlook and my iPhone. I don't want mail and calendar syncing to my work laptop. This used to be possible with icloud control panel 1.x but now with 2.0 it's all or nothing sync. Really *****!

I was also disappointed by the "all or nothing" approach, but there is a sort-of workaround: when you install ICP 2.0, it asks whether you want to merge "all things" or "some things" to the cloud. You choose "some" and then you get a list of contacts/calendar/tasks. Uncheck the calendar box. Then the iCloud calendar appears empty in Outlook, and your contacts will still sync.
But beware there is a bug in ICP 2.0 which makes it difficult to send mail. See this other thread about that:

  • HT201317 I am unable to check photo stream for the icloud control panel. windows 7

Does anyone know what causes this and how can I fix it? I have been driving myself crazy. It has worked before, but suddenly it is not.

If you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

  • Bootcamp Control Panel Gone (Windows 7 System Tray)

After I installed Windows 7 64-bit using bootcamp, I had a system tray icon for the Bootcamp Control Panel. It recently disappeared and I can't get it to appear back. Without the control panel running properly, it looks like the volume keys, backlit keyboard, etc don't work anymore in Windows.
I have tried the things I could find in these forums and through online searches but nothing has worked:
    1) Uninstall and then reinstall Bootcamp drivers and controll panel program using the OSX install DVD. I installed "Boot Camp Update for MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010) (Windows 64 bit)"
    2) Using msconfig to confirm Bootcamp was in the start up program list (it was already in the list so I unchecked it, rebooted, then checked it again, an rebooted)
    3) Running Bootcamp.exe in Windows Vista compatibility mode
    4) Checking my registry for the entry being there correctly (it was)
    5) Customising the "notification area icons" to make bootcamp have the "Show icon and notifications" behavior.
None of these things worked. For additional information, I see that Bootcamp.exe is in the Windows task manager process list so it seems to be running.
How anyone found a solution to get the control panel system tray working again?
    Thank you!

    Hi Flying High,
Thanks for the response. The little gray square for the Boot Camp Manager has shown up in the notification area before (accessible through the little arrow on the right side of the screen), but the problem is that it doesn't show up anymore.
I just tried uninstalling Boot Camp and all the drivers, and then reinstalling it again from the DVD and using the "Boot Camp Update for MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010 (Windows 64 bit)"...
The little gray square for the Boot Camp Manager showed up after the first reboot and the function keys worked (like volume control), but when I rebooted again, the notification manager didn't show up and none of the function keys work anymore. So back to square one.
Has anyone had this problem with the Boot Camp Manager showing up in the notification ares only after the initial installation but not after reboots?
    Thank you!
