Both pcs are infected with trojans - is my router?

Hi. Both my desktop and now my notebook are infected with trojans. I recently found that my desktop has two trojans. My notebook which uses the router for connection was found to have a tojan today. I am trying to keep both unhooked from the internet but I will have to connect up when I need to download programs to try to clean the pcs (I am hoping to find someone who will help get these off since I do not know how - as of now the infected files have been quarantined by my anti-virus programs). When I connect up the desktop, I take the notebook off the connection and vice versa. But what I am wondering is can the router itself have the viruses that is infecting the other pc and then spread it to the one I connect up with? I ask this because at the momemt both pcs have different named trojans. Just a week ago my bank account was drained from an unauthorized charge and I am now wondering if the info they got to do this is not stemming from the viruses I have found.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi. I was not asking if it was my router that caused the viruses, I was asking is my router now infected or can be now that I have trojans on both pcs. I want to know this because I am worried that when I connect with my desktop to try to find help to clean it and then I unconnect to connect my laptop up to do the same, is the viruses that they both have going to be stored in the router somehow and then infect the pc when it is connected to the router?
Both pcs are protected, I thought, both have Avast anti-viruse, both have firewalls.

Something got install on my MAC and now both my Chrome and Safari are infected with Pop-up TABs, Pop-up Adds, Pop-up Videos. I have tried to use cleaning tools but nothing has worked. I've tried to lock down the security to Chrome but that didn't help either. The pop-ups seem to be targeted to types of sites I've been to (i.e. - photography, web hosting) or they are cleaner adds - MAC Keeper, etc.
With the PC I could use something like Malware bytes but nothing has worked on the MAC so far.

You may have inadvertently installed adware. Eradicating it is simple. For an explanation or how this may have occurred, how to avoid it in the future, and for one possible solution read How to install adware.

I think what may be your main issue here is that the 2011
server has the Intel integrated HD3000 and is is struggling
to run both a Thuderbolt display and a second monitor.
When looking at specs for Thunderbolt Display, it is stated
that the 2011 Mini Server can only support one. Adding that
Dell monitor with 1920x1200 display may just be too many
pixels for the HD3000 to handle.
You may want to try setting the Dell to a lower resolution
to test the theory to see what happens. It is however,
possible that any additional monitor when using the Thunderbolt
display may over tax the HD3000 graphics.
FWIW personally, I have been running a 2011 Mini Server w/ Thunderbolt
display for almost a year now without any issues. However, I don't
use a second monitor.

I have been toldfirefox by win2011 that p.c. infected with trojan-bnk.win32 keylogger.gen,kapersky says not.

win total security 2011 keeps poping up when I log on to firefox stating firefox is infected with the following (trojan - bnk.win 32 keylogger.gen.and also that I have 27 serious issues.I have done a total check using Kaspersky pure 9..0.1.24 which says eveything is clean.

I am using ComboFix for a long time. Not so long ago, I was frequently cleaning the PC of my friends, acquaintance or friends of my friends, as I am living in region of the world were people extremely rare buy antivirus software, but are surfing on thousands of infected websites and opening all the spamware links from IM chats or social networks messaging. There were no problems if the current antivirus is uninstalled. Not stopped from processes, but uninstalled. Also I would like to inform you that on really heavy infected machines there is no antivirus that can help you. Scanning could take not hours, but days, and the final result will be the same as it was at the beginning. Online scanners a even worse. It is impossible to clean an infected PC, connected to the internet and with all processes active. ComboFix will scan your PC in 20-30 minutes, depending on how much is infected. In my experience there were no problems with loosing any data. I had some difficulties when I did not removed AVG, just stopped it, and my internet connection was down after cleaning. (Combofix is disconnecting the PC from the internet during scanning). Flushing the DNS and updating the afd.sys repaired my connection.
At this moment ComboFix for me is the best malware remover. It is up to you to try it or not.

There's a possibility that the rogue app will prevent you from accessing that site. If that's the case, then download the setup file to another computer (a friend's PC, or one at work) and then copy the setup file to a USB drive and then from there, copy it to your own laptop.

Anyone recieved emails infected with trojan which wouldn't delete?

I received two emails, both with similar headings: "Love letter from your Girlfriend" or something like that and both with attachments. As soon as I tried deleting them Trend Smart Surfing came up saying it had found numerous issues and couldn't quarantine them. Trend listed a couple different Trojans. I continued attempting to delete the emails however every time I did a pop up message from iMail says can't move email failure to connect with something. Now Trend is coming up saying that the Trojan is in my Time Capsule and I'm starting to get a little concerned!!
Has enyone had a similar experience or know of how I can get rid of this bloody thing?
I guess I should mention I have the Trend Smart Surfing (as mentioned above) and also MacKeeper for security. Strangely, MacKeeper's scans are coming up clean!
If anyone could offer some advise I would be very, very grateful!

FWIW, here is my view after reading both of your posts.
Nothing has "infected" your Mac unless that A/V package you installed did something "under the covers" that neither of us is aware of. I have never heard of an E-mail that was not opened ever causing a problem.
I did a little research on the file suffixes you posted:
.AW is a Microsoft suffix (figures). No Apple could open it, ever - anymore than an Apple could open the dreaded .exe Microsoft files.

I couuld find nothing at all about an "EKD" suffix....there was something about an "EKG" suffix.
Upon trying to delete them a message from iMail came up saying it couldn't connect to server or something and couldn't move the emails.
Is "iMail" referring to Apple's Mail application? If so, that probably relates to something that was done in the overall activities you describe - what, I do not know.

IMHO, the messages and whatever they found are bogus and useless. The A/V program is scanning (and apparently) found something that certainly does not affect a Mac running OS X (the last part of your statement is my original observation and is quite true).
In summary (again IMHO) you have no problem. If I were you (and I am not) I would uninstall the A/V software. If you are really worried, reinstall OS X (you should, of course, have a good backup first).

I have Elements 12 on my pc. I installed elements 13 but it will not boot up. Both products are registered with Adobe.When I sign in to 13 and then accept the software agreement it does not load. Do I need to uninstall Elements 12?

Pertaining to my question above.....I have uninstalled Elements 13 and then re-installed but I have the same problem as stated above. Any ideas on how to solve my problem? Elements 12 boots up just fine.

You should not have to uninstall Premiere Elements 12/12.1 in order to install and run Premiere Elements 13 on the same computer unless your computer is overloaded and the computer resources are compromised. Just use one program at a time.
Can you still use 12/12.1 on this same computer that will not let you use 13?
What specific Window operating system are you using?
Let us go through the usual drill...
1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
2. Are you using a pen and tablet device instead of a mouse?
3. Did you install the program with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
4. Disable the SLCache Folder found in Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit
Local Disk C
Program Files (x86)
Common Files
Adobe
and in the Adobe Folder should be the SL Cache Folder that you delete or disable by renaming the Folder
from SLCache to SLCacheOLD.
5. Are you running the program as Administrator and is the latest version of QuickTime installed on the same
computer as Premiere Elements 13?

When two PCs are synced does all info from both PCs end up on both PCs or is just the data from the PC that initiates sync go to the PC that is paired with it?

I have an old PC has lots of bookmarks that I want to sync with a new PC. Unfortunately, the old PC will not display captcha so I cannot use it to initiate a sync account (no captcha display is a separate problem that I have had for a long time on the old PC and none of the fixes in the forums solve that problem.) The new PC displays captcha OK (same OS, same configs as old PC but it works - go figure.) If I initiate sync from the new PC and then pair with old PC will the bookmarks, etc. from the old PC migrate to the new PC? Or will the handful of bookmarks I have already set up on the new PC migrate to the old PC? Or will both PCs end up with everything? Seems like a simple question but there is nothing in the forums or Help pages about what actually happens when two (or more) devices and paired.

You can set what happens with the first sync via the Sync Options.
* Merge this device's data with my Sync data
* Replace all data on this device with my Sync data
* Replace all other devices with this device's data
The default is "Merge this device's data with my Sync data"

Internet connection lost on Macbook Pro when PCs are connected.

Recently I running into very annoying problem, here it is:
I am using comcast cable internet, connected to Airport Extreme (802n) wan port via ethernet, I got 3 computers are using the same wireless network: one Macbook Pro and two PCs. If both PCs are off, I have no connection problems on Macbook Pro, but if either one of the PCs are on, the browsers on my Macbook Pro can't connect to internet, however, I can still receive emails on Macbook Pro. By the way, airport extreme are set to DHCP, all computers share one IP address. Airport extreme with most recent firmware 7.3.2 installed.
Any help are welcome and thank you in advance.

Each computer should have their own separate IP addresses. So I'm hoping that your statement above means:
(1) The AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) uses DHCP to get an IP address from the ISP.
(2) The AEBS is configured to share a single IP address (not bridging).
(3) The computers are configured to get an IP address via DHCP (via wireless).

Manage devices relates to the devices or computers you have set up to automatically download content from your iTunes account aka "iTunes in the Cloud". You can have up to 10 such devices. This is a separate list from the list of 5 computers that can be authorized to play your protected content. There is no similar feature to list this second group, but when you get to 5 computers you can choose to deauthorize all and start again. You cannot use that feature again for a year.

I read that Display Port has higher band width than DVI, NEC monitors for best performance they recommend using DIsplay Port.
When I was setting this up I looked at a Nvidia Quadro 4000, unfortunately it was for PC, it had 2 Display Ports, in the Mac version they reduce it to one. I did not think there could be a difference.
Mainly want to use it for CS6 and LR4.
How to proceed???
I do not want to use the Quadro 4000 for both, that would not optimize both monitors, one DP and 1 DVI. Using just the 5770 would work but I do not think the 4000 would be doing anything, and the 5770 has been replaced by the 5870.more bandwidth.
Any ideas, I am a Mac newbie, have not ever tried a Mac Pro, just bought off ebay and now I have these problems.
As a last resort I could sell both and get a 5870. That would work, I'm sure of that, it's just that I wanted the better graphics card.

I am a novice at Mac so I read all I can. From what I understand the NEC monitors I bought require Display Port for their maximum performance. The GTX 680 only has DVI outputs. Difference from what I understand is larger bandwidth with the DP.
You said I have the 4000 for CUDA. I am not all that familiar with CUDA and when I do read about it I do not understand it.
A concern I have is, that if I connect the 2 high end NEC monitors via the 5770, using it's 2 Display Ports I would have nothing connected to the 4000. Is the 4000 doing anything with nothing connected? I read where in a PC system the 2 cards would interact but in a Mac system they do not.
Bottom line, as I see it, the 4000 will not be useful at all to me, since I want a dual monitor set-up.
So far the 5870 seems the best choice, higher band width than the 5770, and it has 2 Display Ports to optimize the NEC monitors.
I'm not sure how fine I am splitting hairs, nor do I know how important those hairs are. I am just trying to set up a really fast reliable system that will mainly be used for CS6 and LR4. Those NEC monitors are supposed to be top notch.

You can continue to use the current AppleID for iTunes, but your husband can create a new AppleID to use to create a new iCloud account that will be his own and not overlap with yours. If you do not have another email address to use for an AppleID, just get a free Gmail account and use that.
You can have as many AppleIDs as you want (or at least, as many as you have email addresses for). You can use a separate AppleID for the store, another for iCloud, and even another for iMessage if you wish.
You will want to keep the current one as the shared one for the store as all your previous purchases are permanently tied to it, and thus you need that AppleID to update or redownload your current purchased content.
