BPA controlled by Quantity

Hi Gurus,
EBS Release: 12.0.3
The customer wanted to have a BPA controlled at Quantity Agreed level instead of Amount Agreed. That is, the Blanket Release should be controlled at the quantity agreed level and so, if the BPA is agreed for 100 numbers, the Blanket Releases can be released only for 100 numbers and should restrict if the user tries to release more than 100 numbers. Current functionality in the system is that it controls at the Amount agreed for a BPA.
Please help me in getting a solution for this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Prasad

Hi Prasad
It is Possible.
In the BPA...Agreement Tab ...enter the Qty Agreed Field.
This will not calculate the Amount agreed automatically (since the Price is given for this item)...but will have Control as you expect.
Check and let me know is this solves your issue.

  • Control on quantity and price between version 2 and version 0

    Hi,
My client works on scenario where the cost planning (boq upload)  is done in version 2 and operative is version 0, now the requirement is that, when they want to create a reservation the system should trigger error if change in quantity and price
for eg: 'X' material quantity is 10 nos. in version 2 (plan) and in the operative version 0 if the reservation is put for 11 nos then the system should trigger an error.
Also, if "X" item price is 10 rupees each and at the time of reservation after 1 year if it 20 rupees each then the system should prompt an error for change in price (NOT AVAC for budget exceed)
Kindly suggest if this can be done.

    Hi,
AVAC will check the budget, they want a control on change in price.
Development has to be done from two different version please clarify how this can be done.
Boq can be uploaded  in the operative project but they can even add a extra  quantity or raise a new PR...kindly correct

  • Third party PO control over quantity?

    Dear Gurus,
Firstly, user is creating a sales order with quantity as 98 units..
After this, he is creating PO with 98 units and after that he is changing the quantity to 100 units.
Now, he wants to control over this quantity so that it will not allow him to change the quantity.
how can i restrict user to not allow to change quantity so that the sales order qty and po qty will be same?
    Thanks..

    Hi
Once you have created the PO you can only change the PO quantity manually.
You can block as it was explained here but it will affect all POs.
Do you create the PO against a SO?
What you can do is use an user exit to control that. But you need to know the SO which generates your PO.

  • How to control Order/Target Quantity with reference to Contract Quantity

    Hello GURUs,
In my current organization, there is one scenario in which i have to control target quantity in sales contract e.g., i have created sales contract of 100 MT (contract no : 123), and with reference to that contract i have created another contract for say 100 MT (contract no : 456), after that i have changed quantity (of contract no 456) to 150 from original quantity 100. In this case system allows to do so, which is not correct, and i want same to be control based original contract quantity.
Is there any solution in standard system to control the same? If there is any then pleas let me know.
    Thanks,
    Pratik

    Hello,
    Let me clarify your requirement:
You have created Contract no. 456 (100 MT) with reference to another Contract No. 123 (100 MT).
Now you want that system should not allow to change quantity in Contract no. 456 & keep it as it is (100 MT) in Original Contract No. 123.
Now, if the above requirment is from Sales Order created with reference to Contract then it can be easily don thru Item Category Controls.
But as the second COntract (456) is entirely a new Contract with it own contral parameters (validity dates, etc) system will allow you to change Quantity & other feilds).
You requirment is not standard & will have be achieved thru applying a User Exit. Speak to your ABAPer & he would do the needful .
    Hope this helps,
    Thanks,

  • Quantity and Unit Rate control on WBS Elements

    Dear All,
Please let me know, is there any standard process, where my client need to have control over Quantity and Unit Rate of each WBS Element.
    Regards,
    Bhadra

    Hi Amit,
Actually we are doing Detailed Cost Planning, where we maintain Period wise Planned Quantity and Unit Price. So My need control over those planned quantity and rate in addition to the Budget check.
For example: WBS-1 is having planned quantity of 100 with 10 Rs as unit Price.
In this case my Budget is 1000 Rs and assume that we have released the entire Budget i.e., 1000
So whenever we create a PR/PO/Service order system should check ( QTY-100, Rate-10 and Released Budget-1000) with planned values.
At any point in time the procurement should not happen more than planned Qty/Rate/Release Budget amount.
I think now you are clear about my requirement...

    Bhadra

  • How to achieve Quantity Control in purchasing?

    Hi all,
My client company is controlling the purchasing  quantity of consumable goods manually. Now in the new SAP system
they want to control from the system.
The scenario is ,  let us say diesel, they will prepare yearly estimated quantity for plant wise, then the quantity of diesel while purchasing for this  plant should not be exceeded this quantity.
How to achieve this in SAP? Is there any settings in material master? If not able to control by quantity ,is it posiible to control budget from FI side for these goods?
    Thanks,
    Aravind

    Hi Aravind,
Can make use of internal order with Budget functionality of Internal Order.
create Internal Order for each Asset Class / Services or Cost Center - KO01
assign Budget to the same as sanctioned by management - KO23.
You need to activate availability control for the above Order type and mark the activity control to 3 (Error Message) which will restrict the user from raising any PO/PR.
While creating PR/PO a buyer must maintain Internal Order number in account assignment field with account assignment category F.
if the PR/PO exceeds the budgeted value for the year, an error message is promopted.

  • Control quantity

    Hi all,
We have fixed bin for storage types for both putaway and stock removal. Storage type aaa & bbb.
we have defined maximum quantity[100]and minimum quantity [50] in material master. Also defined control quantity ex.,20.
if i do the stock removal from the storage type aaa for 10 it should pick fom the same storage type.
if i do stock removal for 30 ea it should not pick from this storage type 'aaa' of that fixed bin b'cos of the control quantity 20 ea in master record, then it should suggest me and pick from the reserve storage type 'bbb' and of that fixed bin
the search sequence is 'aaa' and 'bbb' next. but the system is not doing like that. if i give 40 ea also it is taking and TO is generated, here i want to control on quantity
    any answer please,

    Hi,
    - Is control qty of 20 pcs defined for you material at 'aaa' storage type level? (and no control qty for 'bbb')
    - Did you define stock removal strategy 'm' for storage type 'aaa'?
    - Did you define search strategy with storage type search indicator 'A' (for your WH)? Are you using proper mvt type references, storage location references?

  • Purchase Order Quantity should not be more than PR quantity

    Dear all,
We want to control Purchase Order quantity against Purchase Requisition.
We have configured message setting 00 076 as  ERROR. when we create Material PR for lets say 100 quantity. When we create single or multiple Material PO against this PR for more than 100 quantity system is giving us error. This is exactly what we needed.
But due to this message setting when we create Service PR and give service quantity lets say 100. and when we create Service PO and give Service quantity 60. First time system is allowing to save the Service PO.
When we create another Service PO with reference to same Service PR system is showing error as we have configured. Even though quantity 40 is still available.
What we want is to have control on quantity of Purchase Order for Material as well as service. Quantity should not be more than PR quantity.
Is there any other way to have such control? please provide other available options to configure.
    Regards
    Kant

    Hi,
06 076 is only for applicable only in case of material.
For Service and material both, use 06 400 as error "Materials/services for requisition & & already ordered with & &"
    NOtes 786736
    This may help u !

  • Requisition quantity against contract

    Hi SAP gurus,
We have a problem with the following scenario: A purchase requisition is created, after that a contract referenced to this requisition is created. The problem ocurrs when a purchase order is created referenced to the requisition and other purchase order is created against the contract (referenced to the requisition). We need to avoid this scenario controlling the quantity in the requisition, because in this example we would be ordering the double of the requisition quantity.
A solution for this case would be linking both, requistion and agreement in the purchase order, but we need to block the creation of Po´s linked only to requisition and contract.
Could we close or fulfill a requisition after the agreement´s creation?

I dont know what you mean by 'purchase requisition is created, after that a contract referenced to this requisition is created'. Are you creating a contract after the PR is created ?
Check the tolerance limits in sprommpurchasingpurchase orderset tolerance limits for price variance. There maintain do not check for both under and over delivery tolerance.
    hope this solves your issue

  • No Quantity/ value update at Movement type

    Hello All,
At Material type level with valuation area SAP controls check / uncheck Quantity/ Value updating (OMS2)
In our specific business scaenraios, we use material type (HALB) with valuation area combination with / without Quanity & Value updating. Hnece, above setting will not work in our scenario.
is it possible to have control of Quantity/ Value updating by using a custom movement (ex: copy of 101 to 1Z1)?
    Really appreciate your thoughts!
    Thanks

  • Lab view programming to control the printer

    Hi,
As part of my senior design, I am working on LAb view programming. Though I know some basics of lab view, I don't know how to apporach it in the right way. Our device is a dispenser (ink jet printer) which has to dispense user defined amount in user defined location. lab view program has to be interfaced with the printer to do so. I know some basics of lab view and currently I don't know where I am heading to. I have also read the one discussion forum on Lab view FPGA to control an inkjet printer which  discussed about FPGA module.
    Thanks,
    Sundeep

No, I'm saying that depending on the level that you are interfacing would determine whether the FPGA would be a good answer. If you are interfacing to an existing inkjet printer, where you may need to just provide it with the appropriate values through an existing interface, then FPGA would probably not be the answer. If you are connecting at a lower hardware level where you need to directly control the print head, positioning "stuff" etc., then it might. But as I said, and you have reiterated, it is expensive. FPGA allows you to through "software" define a hardware logic. It is particularly good for those things that need very critical timings between signals as it basically programs a digital logic card, therefore the timings are no longer software/operating system dependent, they are in hardware, with outputs and internal signal changes dependent on internal, hardware, clock transistions. You mention that the printer is an epson inkjet. Are you talking a standard, plug it into a computer, epson printer? Are you expecting to "hack" its hardware to get control of those functions you mentioned, like user controlled ink quantity, etc.? You will have to tell us what you have in a little more detail, and what you expect to have to do. Interface to a printer can be hooking up a parallel, or usb connection and sending the codes to print (which in LabVIEW can be its own hurdle!) to the extreme of cutting into existing hardware to introduce "internal" control signals that substitute for the original. The first step to trying to solve your technical problem is being able to describe what it is that you are trying to do, in as much detail as possible.

  • MIGO: Default quantity for subcontracting component

According to OSS Note 329928, There is no component quantity adjustment in Transaction MIGO, except if you changed the quantity of the material produced for subcontracting before the first time it was opened.
The quantities that you saw are no longer changed automatically.
That causes a problem for us, because the people who updates materials just type in the quantity and don't verify if it goes correctly, so that is causing problems in the subcontracting process.
We checked and there is no BAdI or exit to do that, so we understand that the only solution is to disable the option to expand the subcontracting components. Now the question is: How to do this? Is there any customizing option? Or we'll have to treat it in the BAdI? Or would be better in a screen exit?
    Thanks in advance!
    Rafael Schaffer

    Hi Rafael,
    Did you find any solution?
We are having the same dificulty, but we need to control components quantity not only at MIGO but also at bapi BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE.
    Please share your solution!
