BPC 7.5 NW - BPF is not transported correctly.

Dear All,
Last week we generate BPC transport via UJBPCTR t-code, all changes transported to quality and production server successfully, only BPF we have problem. This transport not affected on some BPF and name come with capital letter. Please give your suggestions. Really I need your help.

Hi,
Yes, we have successfully transported from Dev to Quality. After transports, however we faced issues when we tried to modify the BPFs in the quality system. It was giving 'dump' error.
It got resolved after checking with SAP supoprt.
To answer your Q, yes they can be trasnported from one environment to another

BPF Process Templates Changes not Transported

Dear All,
Environment was transported to Target system, including BPF process templates.
Then, changes were made to these templates. Process templates were validated and deployed. Only BPFs were collected. Transport was successful. However, the target system wasn't updated with the latest BPF templates.
Checked the UJT_TRANS_OBJECT table, found that the table wasn't updated with the changes entries.
Tried to create new BPF, validated and deployed. Transport was successful too, but not transported to target system as well.

Have anyone faced similar issue before?

After Upgradation BPF is not working for some users

Hi All,
We have recently upgraded from BPC 5.1 to 7MS SP7. we are having multi server setup with one application / reporting server (windows 2003 and one sql server 2008 (windows 2003 64 bit).
Intially before upgradation we don't have any issues with BPF and it worked fine for all users. But post upgradation tasks within the BPF does not work for other users except for the first two people who first used it. Other users have the same rights as the ones who can access the tasks.
when they click on the link it gets them to eExcel and the right application but doesnt open the package or report assigned to the task. It doesn't give us any errors, on the status bar we get a message finalising but does not getting any thing.
Any inputs ??

Are you sure that those users have installed BPC 7 SP7 clients on their machine? Meaning that you uninstalled 5.1 clients and installed the new client from http://servername/Osoft?
If yes, you should maybe run a client diagnostic on the machines and also check the Management Console for any error messages.

Report variant not transport to ECC 6.0

after migration from SAP 4.6 to ECC6, i cant see the SAP transaction report variant not transaport over....is there any SAP table store the user variant not transported ?

Phase SAVE_VAR_CHK
After the upgrade, many of your variants can no longer be used because the relevant selection screens
have changed. If your Basis Source Release is 4.5B or higher, the SAP system offers two reports to
save the variants:
n RASUVAR1 saves your variants on the source system.
n RASUVAR2 restores the variants in the target system.
During phase SAVE_VAR_CHK you can decide whether you want the upgrade tool to run report
RASUVAR1. The report is started in phase JOB_RASUVAR1. If you have decided to run report
RASUVAR1, phase JOB_RASUVAR2 automatically starts report RASUVAR2 towards the end of the
upgrade.

KM content transported once is not transporting again

Hi Experts,
I have a problem in ICE online transfer.
Let me explain you clearly.
I transported ABC folder from one portal system to other using ICE - online method. that is
source path is /documents/abc and destination path is /documents/xyz/abc All the content is transported successfully.
Now I want to transport to destination path /documents/abc in target system. I configured corectly but it is not happening.
Same problem I am facing with other folders also. The content that is transported once is not transporting again. once fully transported it is doing only incremental update but not full update.
How can I transfer full update again using ICE - online. Is there any possibility of removing cache.
Any kind of hint will be appreciated.

First time data is not transported to pop up window through event handler

Hi all,
I am using NWDS 7.0, Now I want to open a pop up on click of a action link.
There are two DCs DC-A and DC-B.
I am calling action from DC-A to DC-B. DC-B contains view of pop up window.
In DC-A I am using intreface controller of DC-B by using used coponents.
Now In the DC-B used components I have created one fireplugin which is connected ith pop up view of DC-B and that firplugin is called from DC-A action to transport data from Dc-A to DC-B.
Problem : when I click first time to open pop-up window then event handler is not called but the windows opened. When I close that window and again open the transported data start displaying on pop up window.
So can you please help me that why first time data is not transported to pop up window.

You'll need to use an OARawTextBean. Oracle doesn't support opening links in new windows using OAFormattedTextBean. Just be aware that you'll need to set the CSS class in the HTML as well if you need it formatted a certain way.

Web Dynpro ABAP personalization not transported to Quality

Hello,
We personalized the iView in portal with j2ee_admin credential for SRM7.0 implementation at Role level.
We got the pop up saying Do no Transport personalization and transport personalization. We chose Do Not Transport Personalization in portal.
We transport the personalization using the application WD_ANALYZE_CONFIG_USER , we transported for all user.
But when we check in the portal the personalized content is not shown.
Could anyone help on this asap since we are in phase of UAT?

KM content exoport with ICE: External Links are not transported

Hi,
We have to move KM content from DEV->QUA->PRD, so we've set up ICE. ICE is working without any problem. All Objects are transported, but there is an exception,External Links are not moved. (Internal Links are transported correctly!)
We are using Portal 2004s (sap.com/SAP-JEECOR 7.00 SP8, sap.com/SAP-JEE 7.00 SP8)
We tried it with Portal Drive, but External Links are not possible to be copied. (I can see the file for a short time(1-2 sec) in the target folder, but after refresh it disappears from the folder.)
Does anyone have experienced such an issue, do you know any ideas to resolve this problem?
Any help is greatly appretiated

Queries not transported to QA?

I hope you have imported the Request also . So check the log of the Imported Request(which has the concern Query) . Definately you can find some error message which was raised while system was doing the importation of the concern Query and thats why It was not imported the query.
Once you solve the Problem( for ex : Varible is not avialable in the target system) then recollect(forceble) the query and transport it.

Bex Queries not transported into prod

I have transported few queries to prod thru transport conn, created bex transportable req and assigned to package and transported to prod
but i could not able to find those queries in prod

I have already tried with Query Designer --> open Queries .... there were no queries and even i am unable to find infoarea's (but i can see the infoarea's in RSA1) and searched with Metadata Repository.. there were no queries

P Req. Release Strategy not Transported

Hi,
For Configuring the Purchase Requsition Release Strategy, We have Created Characteristics and Class in the Configuration Development Client. Created Release Groups, Assigned Release Codes with the Release Group, and Assigned Release Group with Release Strategy with Classification. Tested PR Release Strategy for the given Classification Values the Release Strategy triggered.
We have Created same Charateristics and Class in the Testing Development Client (Since the Characteristics and Class are not Transportable). Transported Release Groups, Release Codes and Release Strategy from Configuration Development Client to Testing Development Client. When we check the Release Strategy Classification in the Testing Developmemnt Client, system showing Classification Error.
Please let us know whether the Release Strategy Classification Requests are Transportable or not.

Dear Ravi,
The Release Strategy Configurations can be transported, in respect to the requests transported.
But the assignment of the Characteristic Values to the respective classes needs to be done in respective destination clients. Since teh assignment will get transported.
To Do the same, please use transaction CL24N, Enter the classes Used in your release strategy and assign the respective Characteristics Values.

BPC 7.5 NW - BPF - Secuencial Steps ?

Hi team, there is no way to customize the BPF to ensure that activities are not sequential, with reviewers but not mandatory depending on the finalization them before, we have many branch offices for sales and many cost centers for expenses.
Any idea where configure, some customizing, table ?

The only back end BW tables to customize regarding BPF are those having to do with e-mail notifications. There are no BW customizing tables related to BPF sequence logic.
Whether steps have to be performed in a sequential manner is determined in the BPF template setup. Specifically when each step is added to the BPF you have to define the "Opening Criteria" which has two choices: 1) All step regions and 2) Matched step regions. All step regions means all must have a status of complete before the next step can be opened. Matched step regions means that the next step is opened for the same step region while allowing other regions to remain pending.
For your situation with many different branch offices and cost centers you might want to use Matched Step Regions to allow each to proceed "non sequentially", if I understand your question correctly.
Also don't forget that a BPF does not preclude a user/reviewer doing any task directly in Excel for which they have task security, regardless of the sequence of steps defined in a BPF.

Closed Activities not transported - How to get stuff into new track?

Hi, folks!
We encountered some problems with an SCA-export from ASM system leaving some not transported, but closed activities on DEV CONS behind.
How can we arrange to integrate the content of these closed activities, which don' t show in CMS any more, into a new track?

I meant the assembly system. The activities haven' t been transported, but seem to be closed in CMS.
To clear the situation a little more, let me explain what has happened: A colleague created a SCA, deployed it on a runtime system and found out that some screen elements, which were present on development runtime system, are missing.
We figured out that there are some actitivies haven' t been transported to assembly system and are yet closed and not available for transport in CMS.
Now, our two questions would be
1) will releasing and trasnporting dummy activity to assembly to force all changes reach SCA work?
2) will copying the source DC DTR workspace to destination workspace work? (we have problem not being able to delete folders in DTR as they are created by CMS)

Transport of design objects going to Closed and not transportable

Hi'
we are using CMS to transport in XI. Now im facing a problem, I need to transport some changes to QA, but when I activate my changelists they go to status closed and not Transportable.
Any hints?

You should still be able to right click > export to CMS.
Unless some config is missing in CMS.
Have you used this before?

The Quciktime 10.3 playback the audio-only stream of mpeg2ts seem not playback correctly.
When the Quciktime 10.3 start playback my audio-only .ts file. The qucktime seem to be muted on a about 70% of progress bar. or sometime will fast-forward for a while. (not stop playing. just muted or fast-forward and the progress bar keep going on)
but, it's playback well on Quicktime 10.2.

The downloaded TS file contains AAC which uses ADTS—a self synching Audio Data Transport Stream format. According to Wikipedia, "This file and streaming-based format are defined in MPEG-2 Part 7, but are only considered informative by MPEG-4, so an MPEG-4 decoder does not need to support either format." Based on this statement, my guess is that Apple now considers such support to be no longer needed in the QT X v10.3 media player since AAC content is, by default, normally found only in MOV, MP4, M4V, M4A, M4B, and similar containers which are not only supported by the system player but all Apple mobile device players. Even the latest version of VLC seems to have dropped this support for the AAC ADTS audio found in your downloaded TS file.
As to audio dropout in QT X v10.3, the problem you describe seems to be a "sync" associated issue. On my system clicking the playhead to move its current position resets the sync and audio becomes playable again.
