BPC 7.5 NW - Client SP6 - Log in Issues

Hello All,
Wondering if any of you are also facing a similar issue. We are on SP3 on all the BPC boxes on the transport landscape.
In order to test, SP6, before rolling it out, we installed it on the sandbox and upgraded the client on test laptops, so as not to impact the current development process.
We are unable to log in to any of the BPC DEV, QA or PRD boxes from the laptops which have client SP6 installed on them. We get an Network / Security Error when trying to log in. Anybody facing such an issue?
However, we are able to login and work in the sandbox from laptops which have client SP4 installed on them. But this would mean that we will not be able to roll out the front end client, till the server client has been installed in Production.
Any thoughts / suggestions?

Sunil-   the  server  and  client  versions go " lock  step".
As  you  installed  the  necessary server  on the  Sandbox  to  go with your  client  SP^...you  are  able to login to Sandbox  OK.
The  DEV, QA and  PRD  servers are  still  NOT  in step  with  the  clients.
Yes-  you  are  right in  saying  that  the  server needs  to  be  updated  for  the  corresponding  client  to  connect.
Also  don't  forget  to  check   the  .NET  versions  also, sometimes  those  also  need  an  upgrade to  go  with  your  Server  version, Actually all  the 3  go  LOCK  STEP....Server, Client and  .NET  Servers..

    Please help me in the following scenario. I have two nodes ASM1 & ASM2 with RHEL4 U5 OS. On node ASM1 there is database ORCL using ASM diskgroups DATA & RECOVER and archive location is on '+RECOVER/orcl/'. On ASM2 node, I have to configure STDBYORCL (standby) database using ASM. I have taken the copy of database ORCL via RMAN, as per maximum availability architecture.
    Then I have ftp'd all to ASM2 and put them on FS /u01/oradata. Have made all necessary changes in primary and standby database pfile and then perform the duplicate database for standby using RMAN in order to put the db files in desired diskgroups. I have mounted the standby database but unfortunately, log transport service is not working and archives are not getting shipped to standby host.
    Here are all configuration details.

  • BPC 7.0 NW Client Install Error

    Hi Expert:
    Now I met some problem in install BPC 7.0 NW Client.
    At the first time, I ask me to provide the XceedZip.dll, however I do not have. So I just cancel the install process.
    Then, I download the lastest version XceedZip.dll and put it into the corresponding folder.
    At the second time, I told me "OSoftDMClientTools.DMTools found in registy.Please refer to administrator before install". I think this is caused by cancelling the install process.
    How should I do to solve this problem?

    Hi,
    one way is to manually delete the key in registry. Open the registry table by click start, run then type u201Cregeditu201D
    In the menu Edit, click find then type u201Cosoftaddinu201D
    Then you can delete those keys.
    Then it should be possible to do the client installation again.

  • SAP BPC 10.0 Web Client Blank Screen after login

    Hi ALL,
    We are using SAP BPC 10.0 Web Client with Adobe Flash Player 13.0.0.214 with IE 9.0 on Windows 7.0.
    We face strange error where on only on certain PC, the BPC web client working.. On other getting Blank/Blank Screen after login (with "movie not loaded" on the adobe flash player).. Both PCs are having the same setting.
    Even one of PC which previously working, starting this week suddenly getting the same error.. I have created OSS message and got feedback with also share this problem on this forum.
    I have done several actions as mentioned on several SAP notes )1624267, 1664889, 1681147, 1694871, 1752971, 1798336, 1804221, 1806371, 1811218, 1820505, 1918631, 1968584), but still no luck..

    Yes .. Compatibility View also checked.. in several PCs, it is working well. both failed and working PCs have the same setting.
    Just found another weird: in one working PC, 2 different windows local-admin users login to the same PC for BPC-web and getting different result (1 Ok ; 1 failed) ..seems it is related with the user profile and login-domain servers (we have multiple login-domain servers with load balancing mechanism).

  • RPC Client Access Logs - Throttling Policy

    Trying to get useful information on who is being throttled by a specific policy.
    Created the policy: New-ThrottlingPolicy -Name LimitMessagesSent -RecipientRateLimit 5 -ThrottlingPolicyScope Organization
    Enabled RPC Client access logging: <add key="LoggingTag" value="ConnectDisconnect, Logon, Failures, ApplicationData, Warnings, Throttling" /> and bounced the service.
    Forced the throttling by sending many emails.
    Opened the log and found this:

    Makes no mention of the user that was throttled. How can I troubleshoot if I cannot see the user in the logs?

    We need to assign this newly created throttling policy to the end users else it will not be effective.
    The below commands will help you out.
    Use below command to assign this newly created throttling policy to the user
    Set-Mailbox MBXName -ThrottlingPolicy LimitMessagesSent 
    Run the below command to ensure that the throttling policy is assigned 
    Get-Mailbox MBXName | Select Throttling Policy

    In SCEP 2012....
    1. Where are client activity log files stored?  
    2. What is the default retention policy?  
    I remember with FCS, I think the historical data was stored for 14 months (by default).  Is that the same for SCEP?

    Logs are in c:\program data\Microsoft\Microsoft Antimalware\Support.
    Not sure on retention as I am working in non-persistent VDI's that get their logs reset after a log off!

  • Client Export Log too big

    Hi all,
    in the client export log I found many of these string for different tables:
    4 ETW000 AGR_HIER.X_POS: NUMC value changed from '     ' to '00000'
    and the log size is about 2,5 GB.
    What I have done to solve the problem??

    The size of client export is about 12,5GB.
    The problem is that in the log file of the export is too big because there are many string for different tables that contains this message:

    I am trying to redirect the client call logging to a file, does anyone know what form the .properties file should take?

    Endpoint Protection history data is deleted after 365 days, it can be controlled in the Site Maintenance task "Endpoint Protection is Delete Aged Endpoint Protection Health Status History Data"
    There is also a setting for "Delete Aged Threat Data" which is set to 30 days. It depends on which level of details you are after but it sounds like you should increase the "Delete Aged Threat Data"

  • 10.5.4 Server/10.3.9 Client user home mounting issue

    Hi all, hopefully someone can help me out with this. I know this might be an AFP issue but if you read on you'll see why I think it might be Open Directory's "fault".
    I'm the admin at a school running Leopard Server with Leopard, Tiger, and Panther clients. The server is running Open Directory and is the home for all user accounts.
    Leopard and Tiger clients can log in fine. Panther clients begin to login, and between the visual acceptance of the password and actually showing the user's desktop, something goes wrong. It informs me that the user cannot log in at this time because an error occurred, and that the home directory is on an AFP or SMB share.
    It's an AFP share, but I don't understand why the Leopard and Tiger clients are kosher and the Panther ones are not.
    Advice?
    I've already tried turning Kerberos on/off, etc. I have also discovered that I can mount AFP volumes just fine if I log in locally and then connect to the user's account manually via Go-->Connect to Server.

  • IMac 27" Late 2013 Wi Fi Log in Issue

    Hello everyone,
    I apologize if my questions have been asked in the past. I'm completely new to the Apple Mac OS. I bought a new iMac 27" in the middle of 2014 and use it about once or twice a week and have had no issues to-date. I'm still in the process of learning though so my use of it is limited to basic emailing, web browsing and Skype.
    In the last 2 weeks I have had problems logging into my Wifi network at home. It would not log on even after I had reset the modem. After trying and rebooting my iMac 3-4 times it would finally do so without changing anything in the it. I'm not sure what is causing it, but thought I would ask here.
    What would be causing the log in issue to my Wi Fi network?
    Do I need to be concern with the findings in the Etre check?
    Startup after logging in my password would take longer than usual...what would be causing it?
    Here is the result from the Etre scan. I guess what concerns me is in red...and also if it shows the Wi Fi log in issue.

  • Send mail to the user who logged the issue

    Hi,
    As it is currently the mail goes to the key user, which is a business partner. That is an organization. However several users are maintained under a business partner.
    So now the mail goes to all these users at a status change. However can we only have the user who logged the issue getting the mail. Can you please advice me on how to get this?

    Yes we hv assigned the key user as a business partner which is an organization,, This is also and requirement,
    But since the mail is activated as to the key user it goes to all the users in that group, under teh business partner.
    But when configuring this came across the Partner, in which we selected it as key user. But there were also other partners as Creator,Reported by etc..
    I tried using both these but again it didnt work. Can anyone suggest anything?
    Yes, when u assign the key user as a business partner and assign several users  to it you can send multiple mails to users
    Any help on this is very much appreciated,.,

  • Enterprise Portal Log off Issue for External User

    Hello
    We are facing a Enterprise Portal log off issue for one of our external users.
    User is logged in and clicks on the "Log Off" link .
    User is prompted as seen below:
    Are you sure you want to logg off?
    Choose Yes or No
    Click on Yes and popup window goes away and nothing else happens.
    These problems logg off issue problem happening on Internet Explorer 6 but from from firefox browser, its working.
    Also  popups are not blocked on IE.
    EP version with SP level is EP 7.00 SP12.
    Even though from Internet explorer 6, i can log in and log off with internal user.
    Please advise for the log off problem .

    I added the value ume.logoff.redirect.url =https://poqwas.synenco.com/irj/portal
    on Config Tool Global Paramter settings.
    Then restart the server.
    But I am getting the same problem.when I login with external user ID, then make log off. Nothin Happen...
    Please advise

  • LION screen sharing and remote log in issues

    Hi,
    In Snow Leopard I could access my iMac screen from my macbook and have the iMac restart and allow me to log in and continue to use the iMac.
    In Lion I cannot access the log in screen remotely after a restart.
    I need to go to the iMac and actually log into it with the keyboard before it will show up again on the network.
    I tried to adjust the sharing preferences but nothing is allowing me to manage the iMac and restart it from a different machine.
    Once I am logged in the screen sharing works fine. It's the log in issue that is not working for me.

    i have not been able to get screen sharing to work at all, which has never been a problem for me. i'm registered as an authorized user on both computers, the passwords are correct, but it keeps telling me that the username/passwords don't work. and this is after the computers have already been "connected" using the exact same passwords and user name.

    Hey Legacys7, please PM me your login details and I'll test this for you. If you can access admin you should be able to log in to BC Extension. It's using the same auth system.
