BPC 7.5 NW Installation- Dump on UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT Load Data Into AppSet

Env: Win 2008 R2, SQL 2008. NW EHP2 702, BI_CONT 706,
After installing Apshell running UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT, I am now hitting a road block at "Load data into appset" step.
The st22 dump analysis is like this
"MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "
"CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CP" or "CL_RSDMD_UPDATE_MASTER_DATA===CM00X"
"__CREATE_XY_IMAGES_PREPROC"
Couldn't find much on SMP or googling.
Anyone faced this issue before, any insights on how to resolve it.

As regards the BI_Cont 706, you will find more info the same note that you referred. The statement below from note 153967 suggests, NW 7.0 EHP1 & 2 are supported for

As regards the BPC pre-activity I have completed all pre-requisites mentioned in the BPC Inst guide, is there any other doc that I should check.
As for the client I have one client for BI (client 200) and another client for BPC (Client 100), I have activated RSA1 on client 200. I have created the Background user, assigned permissions, setup RSTPRFC, set default BW client BWMANDT etc.
How do I recreate the appshell, by running UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT ?
Should I reset anything ?

UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT crashes on Laod Data into Appset step. BPC57NWSP2.

I had some problems using UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT.
Maybe you or someone else working on BPC can help me.
 
I am testing BPC75NW SP2 on a clean SAP NW 7.01. 
My server has only the ABAP AS 
 
 I upgraded all software components to SP6
 I then added BI_CONT_704
 Finally I installed BPC75NW + SP01 + SP02 + INCZ1
 
 Thus my system status is:
 BI_CONT 704 0000 Business Intelligence Content
 CPMBPC 750 0002 CPM Business Planning and Consolidation
 PI_BASIS 701 0006 Basis Plug-In
 SAP_ABA 701 0006 Cross-Application Component
 SAP_BASIS 701 0006 SAP Basis Component
 SAP_BW 701 0006 SAP Business Warehouse 
 
 All went fine upto there.
 
 Now I ran UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT with all options except Load Data and it went fine)
 I ran UJA_DATA_CHECKER and all seems normal.
 
 But when I run UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT with the "Load Data Into Appset" option
 I have a short dump after some steps have completed.
 Here is some info on the short dump, It seems to be related to the activation of hierarchy or to some setting with SIDs. (see end of post).
 
 I restored a backup of my server prior to the Content Activation and repeated the procedure with the same result.
 
 I checked the following notes that refer to the issue, but they do not solve my problem.
 1) Note 1237497 - Short Dump while running program UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT
 2) 1409003 - BPC NW: Error in ST22 dump: "System error in program SAPLRRK0 and form CHECK_KHANDLE" using transaction SE38 then executing UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT
 3) 1434401 - BPC NW: Error: "Failed to activate SAP NetWeaver BI InfoObject for dimension" when trying to process a dimension
 4) Note 1434177 - Upgrade from BPC7.0 to 7.5
 5) 1420399 - Exception condition "X_MESSAGE" raised
 6) Note 1333160 - Runtime error MESSAGE_TYPE_X during InfoObject activation
 I thought the last one might help me but SNOTE refuses to install it, saying that it does not apply to 701.

I managed to solve the problem.
Initially I was restoring a backup after the dump and retrying from scratch , thus obtaining the same error each time.
In fact when I tried to repeat the action after the crash the program runs through to the end from the point where it failed.
Problem solved.

ABAP short dump when loading data into Infocube

Hello All,
I am getting an ABAP short dump error when loading data into Infocube. I tried to load data from PSA and ODS.
I ran the code to compress the Infocube, no improvement still getting the same error.
Error Analysis:
A raise statement in the program "SAPLRSDU_PART" raised in the exception.
Internal Notes:
The termination occured in the function "ab_i fune" of the SAP Basis system. Specifically in the line 2316 of the module "//bas/620/src/krn/runt/abfunc. C#18".
The internal operation just processed is "FUNE"

try to run program SAP_DROP_EMPTY_FPARTITIONS to display existing partitions. Then compare it to the number of uncompressed requests. Maybe there's a mismatch.

System Response
The IDoc processing was terminated and indicated as incorrect. The IDoc
     can be reimported at any time.
Procedure
1. Go to the transfer rule maintenance for your InfoSource
         ZFIN_TR_FLQITEM_FI and the source system DA_M_10 and regenerate the
         transfer program using the function Activate. Remove possible syntax
         errors on the basis of your conversion routines.
2. Restart the processing of this IDoc.
3. If the error occurs again search for SAPNet R/3 notes, and create a
        problem message if necessary.

Goto RSA1>> then to source system tab (on left side) >> double click on the desired source system...........Then on the right side you have the Datasource tree..........there search the datasource and activate.......Also u can Replicate the datasource again.......and activate the Transfer rules using the program : RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
After this operation when come back to source system (R/3).........I think the error log line will be disappeared from SM58......... Then repeat the load.........
Also u can try to Activate the infosource once...........in RSA1.........before repeating the load....

We currently work with BI NW2004s SP10. We created transformation for mapping InfoSource and InfoCube based on 3.x transfer rule. For example, we used cube 0PUR_C04 and Data Source 2LIS_02_ITM_CP. And the transformation is "TRCS Z2LIS_02_ITM_CP -> CUBE 0PUR_C04". Everytime when we tried to load data via DTP. A runtime short dump occurred: ASSIGN_TYPE_CONFLICT
Error analysis:
You attempted to assign a field to a typed fie but the field does not have the required type.
we went back and forth to activated transformation and DTP. But still, same error occurred.
Any idea, please !!!!

Use of Open Hub Destination to load data into BPC

Hi Gurus,
I want to load the data from SAP BI to BPC (NW version), using Open Hub Destination. I want to know few things about this.
1) What method should I use? Should I use Destination as Flat Files or Database tables? If Database tables, how can I use this data in the tables in BPC?
2) If I go for Flat Files, which is saved in the application server of BI, how can I import those files to BPC and use it using Data Manager?
3) Also, in case of Flat Files, there are two files which are created. One is the control file and other one is the data file. How can I use both of them? Or can I just use data file without header?

Hi Anjali,
I can use the standard data manager package from BI to BPC, if the CSV file is available in the BPC Server or in case if I am directly extracting from BW object, InfoObject or InfoCube.
But, since I will be using Open Hub, the output of this can be in a Database Table or a CSV file, preferably in SAP Application Server. In such cases, how can I use the Database table or CSV file in the standard Data Manager Package?

PSAPTEMP has nothing to do with PSA. It is a temporary storage space and is present in all systems.
You can check this in transaction DB02 if you are using Bw 3.x and DB02OLD if you are using BI 7.0. Once in DB02/DB02OLD, you will see a block which says tablespaces. In this block, there is a push button for freespace statistics, click on it and it will take you to a screen which shows the free space for all tablespaces.

We have one schema on a server.
We have created the same schema with only table structures on another new server.
Now we got the data from the original schema as XML files corresponding to each table.
For Example, we have Employee table created newly on a new server. Now we have the XML file which has Employee data. We have to dump this XML data into new EMPLOYEE table.
We have to dump these XML files data into corresponding tables.
How can we achieve this?

SAP BPC 10 NW loading data from Infoprovider (data value issue in BPC)

Hi Experts,
We are on SAP BPC 10 - 801 NW - SP05
We are having an error when loading data from infoprovider, we tested in DEV and QA and have similar behaviour: data values which are stored in infoprovider are loaded into BPC model with no differences.
However after make a transport procedure into PROD environment and then loading data into BPC Model something happens: suppose that 100,00 is a data value stored in a BW infoprovider, after loading data into BPC from this infoprovider, different data value is loaded into BPC. E.G 100,0 is in BW , but 10000,0 is store in BPC
Is there any idea to fix it or check it?

This case occurs with colombian currency and others.
Compare the table TCURX in DEV, QA and PRD.
There must be an entry for currency COP only in PRD.

Note 1240163 explain this behavior.
If you need the value to be stored in 100,00 format in BPC, you can create a routine to convert this value.

BPC error after the installation

Hi Experts,
I have completed BPC 7.0 SP2 installation and connected BI 7.0 instance (EHP1 installation completed sucessfully, added BPC add-on). i installed BPC Admin client and connected to APSHELL but when i am trying to create new app set by coping existing one or try to modify any task profiles, i am getting errors like GetTaskProfileData() with object refreence not assigned. log file showing below error.

Hi All,
thank you all for your valuable time for me.
i am able to trace out the issue, this was cuased with "Message Queue" format, i followed as per the installation document like queue name is Private$\bpcmessagequeue , it went fine last installation and worked fine.
but this time, i have given same format but system configuration file has taken into wrong format and unable to read task status from queue cuased the issue. i have correct using below format.
<HOSTNAME>\$Private\bpcmessagequeue, this format for remote queue, but even requesting same format for local queue also.

Dump when loading Data from DSO to Cube

Hi,
i get a short dump DBIF_REPO_PART_NOT_FOUND when trying to load data from a dso to a cube. From DSO to DSO it works fine.
any idea`s?

the Dump occurs in the last step of the last data pakage in the DTP Monitor.
I checked the OSS note, but i don´t know how to check the kernel version.
Now i used another DSO for testing and i got another Dump with a different name.
After that i logged in again and it works with my test DSO data...
But still not working with the original one...

Short dump while loading data

Hi All,
I am getting this error message while loading data in BW. The eeror message is below:
Data not received in PSA Table.
Diagnosis
Data has not been updated in PSA Table . The request is probably still running or there was a short dump.
Procedure
In the short dump overview in BW, look for the short dump that belongs to your data request. Make sure the correct date and time are specified in the selection screen.
You can use the wizard to get to the short dump list, or follow the menu path "Environment -> Short dump -> In Data Warehouse".
Removing errors
Follow the instructions in the short dump.
When I checked the short dump it is as below.

Make a note of the actions and input which caused the error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion date.

    Database error text........: "ORA-14400: inserted partition key does not map to any partition"
    Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/INSR//BIC/B0000541000 ]"
    Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself, use the following search criteria:

Thanks a lot Manga. I did what you told and it gave me this error message.
Inconsistency: High value for table /BIC/B0000541000: 0002 ; PARTNO value in RSTSODS: 0022
So you mean to say once I click on correct error button, it should be good. So after that if do the loading, it should not give me this problem if I am right.
But can you tell me what exactly does that error message mean? Also is this not an table space issue. I have to wait to correct that error as DBA is currently looking into it.
