BPM Concern: Total message processing time too large

Hello Experts,
I have implemented a BPM scenario with a fork step. MDM is the sender system and ECC is the final reciever system.
Branch 1 of Fork step: Processes Message type 1(DEBMAS); includes transformation step(ABAP mapping) and Send step (RFc call to ECC)
Branch 2 of Fork step:  Processes Message type 2(ADRMAS); includes transformation step(ABAP mapping) and Send step (RFc call to ECC)
the messages are proccessed as required but the only concern is the total time reuired for the final message to be posted to ECC system. This scenario using the above design takes more thean 5 mins to post the message to ECC; which the end user will not accept.
Is this due to the parallel processing using fork step? Is there any alternative method of implementing this with minimum processing time?
Thanks in advance,
Elizabeth.

Hi Ninad,
Begore the ABAP mapping step, there is a send step (sends DEBMAS/ADRMAS to ECC).
ABAP mapping reads the message Id generated for the above message  and the retrieves the PI IDoc number and its details from PI SXMB_MONI backend tables. This is then required to be given as input to Send step (RFC call to ECC to get ECC IDoc acknowledgment based on PI IDOC number).

please tell me why processing time too long and what do I check more.
    thanks

    Hi
Processing Time is the total time taken i.e. Time when user clicks on submit button to send data to SAP System till the time SAP System processes everything and shows the updated screen back to the user. It includes Network Time also.
Average Processing Time is the Processing Time per Dialog Step
In ST03N workload Monitor, there are different Task Type like Dialog, Background, RFC, Update,..........
Could you be more specific where do you find the Average Processing Time high ? I mean for which Task Type.
If you have users complaining for Performance problem check their Network Time also.

  • HT1277 Error after trying to send a message that is too large

I tried sending a message that was too large, now I have a "hazard" sign all over my inbox (a triangle inside a circle with a !). How do I get rid of it?

Select and open the "Sent" mailbox and the "Drafts" mailbox for the target mail server, and see if you have that big outbound message still stuck there.  If so, delete it.
If you've filled your storage quota on the server, you'll need to log in and delete some stuff.
The web mail interface (if your mail ISP offers that) can be useful for cleaning up existing messages.
To try to bring the connection to the mail server back online, you can control-click on the inbox mailbox in the left navigation of Mail.app associated with the target mail server, and see if the server is listed as offline.  You'll know it's offline if you're offered an option in the pop-up to take the server back online, select that.  (If it's online, try toggling it offline, then back online.)

  • BPM - to post message N times (message split)

    Hi,
If i want to post messages N times based on field input Value (N), which step do i need to use?
    Thanks

If i want to post messages N times based on field input Value (N), which step do i need to use?
    Depending on your requirement:
    1) You have many occurences of a node and according to those you want to post your message:
Use a Block step in BPM with mode as ForEach, for more info read this: /people/milan.thaker/blog/2008/08/05/modes-in-block-step-of-bpm
Also read this help section for more understanding:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/11/13283fd0ca8443e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    2) If your requirement is to post a message to some receiver based on a value in input then you can do so by giving the condition in receiver determination.

  • IMAP message - Email is too large

I'm been on Windows 8 and Outlook 2013 for the past 6 months without issue. Recently I started receiving the following pop-up message every 2-3 minutes: Your IMAP server wants to alert you to the following: Email is too large, limit size to less than 20MB.
I've made multiple attempts to fix this, but without any luck. Can someone please offer insight on how they removed this pop-up? Outbox is cleared as is trash - please advise.

It sounds like one folder contains an item that is larger than 20MB and therefor doesn't sync by the limit set on your mail server. You can do a search based on size across your mailbox to find the item.

  • Message processing time

    Hello,
We are currently using solution manager (just starting to), to be more specific we are using the service desk function.
I've read quite a few messages and understand that I need to set up a few things (hierarchies, products, service contracts, etc..) in order to be able to calculate things like initial response time, etc...
My question is the following though:
I get a support request message (SLFN message) created by a customer. The priority of the call is priority 3 and contractually I have  4 days to fix the issue.
The message is logged on DAY 1 so I must give a solution at the latest on DAY 5.
I pick up the call on DAY 1 and  do an initial analysis of the call (say 10 minutes)  and come to the conclusion that the message description does not contain enough detail to get me going on it. So I return the message to the customer (still on DAY 1) asking him for further information.
The customer respond to my request on DAY 6 we the information I need. Now DAY 6 is gone past the date the call should have been closed.
My questions are, can Solution Manager
    - report on the fact that I have worked 10 minutes on the call
    - report on the fact that the customer kept the message for so long and hence I cannot be deemed to have not respected the SLA agreed time
    Thanks for your thoughts/inputs.
    PR.

  • TIME MACHINE Error: This backupup is too large for the backup volume ...

    Hi Folks !
I have also my first problems with TM. It was running, the first time nicht&day to make the first backup and now seems the device to be full! This TimeMachineError was displayed:
This backup is too large for the backup volume. The backup requires 127.5 GB but only 46.5 are available. To select a larger volume, or make the backup smaller by excluding files, open System Preferences and choose Time Machine.
    END OF ERROR Message
First thing > if I choose SystemPrefs/TM there is no chance to exclude file or folders the only dialog is for Volumes
    Any Idea ?
Are the TM Preferences corrupted or why I cannot choose to define my backup ?
    Ciao
    Massimo

When my Time Machine disk had only 50GB left, I got the message that it couldn't back up because it required 118GB to do so. Because there was, for some reason, only one day backed up, I deleted the backup files to start fresh. Now I am getting the message:
"This backup too large for the backup volume. The backup requires 1056.6 GB but only 929.4 GB are available."
Well, the backup only require 118GB a little while ago, and the initial full backup that I deleted was 880 GB. Nothing has been added to the startup disk, and a 400GB disk has been excluded to try to make this work, so this message can't be right.
How do I make this work? Do I have to keep reinstalling Time Machine every time I want to backup?

  • SAP BI Query 'too large'

    Hi,
I have a problem with creating a special query in Query Designer. The query has 2 structures, one structure has 100 selections, the second structure has 132 selections. This query is to show 10 years of plan data per period and a detailed account structure. The customer is not willing to reduce the number of rows.
When I try to check the query or execute the query, I get an error message:
Query is too large. Query contains 8192 differing selection cells. However, only 8191 selection cells can be processed in a query.
In fact the query has about 13000 selection cells!
I can not set up the query in a different way by using a drilldown by attribute period or something similar as the query should show actuals to a certain period in a certain year and from that period on the rest of the ten years should show plan data for an entered plan version. The row structure should not show all accounts and nodes of a hierarchy but only certain nodes. Therefore I can not use a hierarchy here.
Please could you tell me if there is a way to exceed the limit of     '8192 selection cells'            in a query ?
many thanks for your help in advance
    Arndt Fritzsche-Marx

    Hi Arndt,
have never had this problem before. However you can customize the amount of cells in a query yourself. Have you tried editing this number (as explained below), perhaps it helps?? For I do not have access to a BI 7.0 right now I can not check if there are more settings which can be customized.
You can customize the maximum of rows which can be displayed in web. This setting can be customized as follows in Bex Web Analyzer for the query (execute your query from Query Designer and it will ope in Bex Web Analyzer):
    1. Settings --> Data Provider
    2. Size Restriction for Result Sets
    3. Set the setting to "Custom-Defined No. of Cells" and enter your required "Number of cells"
However be aware that the display of such a big amount of rows has a great impact on the performance of the query.
    Brgds,
    Marcel

  • Backup too large for the backup volume??

    Hi,
My disk is 30Go of windows and 120Go of Mac. Only 115Go are used. My backup volume is 185Go.
But Time machine tells me, *on the first backup*, that it needs 330Go for backup??? What the f**?
All my external disks are excluded, and it does say the size of the included files is 115Go. How come time machine needs *three times* the space of the original data??

When my Time Machine disk had only 50GB left, I got the message that it couldn't back up because it required 118GB to do so. Because there was, for some reason, only one day backed up, I deleted the backup files to start fresh. Now I am getting the message:
"This backup too large for the backup volume. The backup requires 1056.6 GB but only 929.4 GB are available."

How do I make this work? I did not interrupt or abort another backup, and I've already reformatted the drive, with the same result. Do I have to keep reinstalling Time Machine every time I want to backup?

  • Cid: images displayed too large

I get a daily ModusMail spam quarantine digest. It has the following in its CSS:

Our company really enjoys using the Muse product a lot and we are building our business online around it.  However, this image loading is a big problem for us.  With high resolution displays like Macbook Retina and Google Pixel it's important websites be crisp and high resolution.  While these machines are only a small portion of users online now it's a growing group and they are very affluent, influential, tech savvy and generally ahead of the curve.
Muse is uniquely positioned to help us cater to these high end clients and also serve smartphone users and lower bandwidth visitors, as mobile is a very important channel as well.  Muse should have an option that allows me to include the highest quality images I can find and then serve lower resolution images to visitors on phones or mobile connections, and higher resolution images to high speed connection users on advanced displays.
We build our whole website presuming Muse would optimize for this and our bounce rate is very high and load times are very slow right now.  Although we love the product this isn't just a bother, it's a mission critical problem that may cause us to abandon the product.
To be fair we inadvertently made this worse by going with a very visual "infographic" style site and we have high resolution screens so we're making it look sharp for us.
Now we're looking for ways to fix this quickly now without resizing dozens of images and also wondering how Muse handles this kind of rendering now and how that will change going forward?
    Thanks!

Ps.  Would also be good if images loaded from top to bottom more and/or started out with lower resolution and graduated to higher resolution as I've seen on some sites (this may be browser)

  • MP3 file size too large ?

    Hi all,
I purchased the C3 to replace my older 6300 a couple of days ago.
It seems that my C3 problem discussed in another topic is almost similar.
I placed a 1Gb memory card and works just fine. I can approach and play all MP3 files on it.
But the option to use an MP3 as a ringtone is greyed out.
Tried to get it to work through personalizing profiles gives me the error message : file size too large ! Everty time and no matter which MP3 I choose. The file size is 4.3 Mb.
I tried editing the file, downsizing it to 770 Kb, but same error message occurs : too large.
Any other suggestions before I decide to bring this phone back ?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

updates vary by region and product code and if your handset is branded you may have to wait a bit longer as the network has to aproove the update

  • Difference is too large for clearing - AR

    Hi
We have a scenario  where we are trying to clear a SINGLE open line item from customer account. The amount is say 0.02USD and it is well within the tolerance limit set for both the users and the customers in the company code. The tolerance group is also assigned in the customer master.
Also we have configured the expense accounts for charging off the difference in OBXL based on reason codes. The reason code has "charge off diff" ticked in table T053R for the company code.
When we try to clear this open item the system gives the message "Difference is too large for clearing". There are no exchange differences.
Please let us know what we are not doing right.
    Best wishes
    Raj.

    dear Raj,
    follow steps bellow
    1 - OBA4 definition - 99,9%
2 - F-44 (or any other customer clearing tcde)
    3 - Autmatic clearing discount
