BPM Scenarios not working
Hi All
I have done a simple file_2_file and SOAP_RFC scenario. Both of them are perfectly working fine.
Now I did a simple file_2_file scenario using BPM and this doesn't work. When I go the transaction SXI_CACHE, it shows as "Cache contents are obsolete". Also, in SXMB_MONI, when I see the messages, only sender interface is there and no part of the BPM messages are shown.
I am sure that my BPM configuration is perfect as its a simple example which I implemented from one of blogs.
Do I have make any settings for a BPM scenario to work? Please help.
Thanks,
Vijay
Hi Moorthy,
I already implemented your blog. After activating all the objects, I just tried SXI_CACHE, it says the "Cache contents are obsolete". Also, my previous scenarios doesn't work. Now If I take out the BPM scenario, I mean if I delete the scenario, then the previous scenarios start working fine.
Any solution please?
Thanks,
Vijay

XI ALERTS with out BPM Are not working.
Hi All,
We are on XI 3.0 sp14. Alerts with out BPM are not working. I want to apply notes 906044, 876546. It says i need to make some changes to the following functions. I could not able to find these Function modules in the first place. Can some one help me out?

CL_XI_ALERT CREATE_ALERT
Thank you

Login into XI Developement and give SE37 Transaction. Then you give SXMS_ALERT_ERROR_RECEIVE and click 'display'.
Then you check for the methods CL_XI_ALERT HAS_ACTIVE_RULE, CL_XI_ALERT_UTIL GET_MDT_URL, CL_XI_ALERT CREATE_ALERT and make the changes according to service notes. If you dont find this methods in this function then you can try in SXMS_ALERT_ERROR_SEND.

Integration of BRM within BPM does not work
Hi,
I am working on a demo that shows the integration of BRM within BPM. A simple scenario with a gateway to decide for automatic or manual approval. I would like to use BRM to decide what to do: automatic or manual. For example: if amount <=25 then set status to automatic.
Unfortunately I can't get it to work. I took the examples I got on this years TechEd (BPM262), but this doesn't work at home
I also read through the blogs from Julius (BRM integration in BPM (XML Schema)), but these look very complicated. In my opinion it must be able to use business rules without any line of coding (despite what is stated in Julius blogs).
Ruleset trials and questions
- What is the returntype: the context or the parameter you want to be judged or returned?
- What are the parameters: context or the parameters you want to use?
- What is the result: context or the parameter you want to return?
- Why is it not possible to change the Overview tab, once you have created the ruleset?
- How to implement within the process, I used the mapping activity, but I either get an error at selecting the ruleset, or I get an error during runtime (nullpointer).
The concept is very powerfull but I feel that the integration of BRM within BPM is not finished yet. Am I missing something? Anyone implemented a business rule within a process without any line of coding?
Kind regards

File to BPM is not working after SP12
Hello Friends,
After applying SP12 patches, my BPM is not picking up the file at all. Nothing is changed. The configuration did not change at all.
In Configuration, I've deleted the BPM and added it with the same name, but no luck.
Does anyone know about this.
Thanks
SKMIn the adapter monitor, file is processed.
My mistake. Let me re-phrase the problem.
After file is picked up, it is being sent to the BPM service. When I checked PE --> Technical Details the workflow has the following error.

Sender RFC scenario not working
Hi All,
I'm trying to configure a scenario where the sender is an RFC. I have done the following configuration steps:
1. Created an RFC destination in the R/3 system.
Program ID: SAPSLDAPI_X3A
Gateway Host: hostname of the XI system
Gateway Service: Gateway service of the XI system
2. In the RFC Sender channel
App Server Gateway: R/3 system's hostname
App Server Service: of the R/3 system
Program ID: SAPSLDAPI_X3A
3. In the RFC Metadata Repository Parameter, the details of the R/3 system is provided.
4. The RFC is triggered by calling a report program specifying the RFC destination.
But no messages are coming to the message monitor. Is anything wrong here or is something missing? Is there any way to see what happened in the R/3 system?
Could you please help?
Thanks,
PriyaHi,
<i>1. Created an RFC destination in the R/3 system.
Program ID: SAPSLDAPI_X3A
Gateway Host: hostname of the XI system
Gateway Service: Gateway service of the XI system</i>
This is fine.. I would recommend you to use different name coz SAPSLDAPI is a RFC destination name for SLD communication purpose. Its better to avoid using some system names. But this is not a problem.
<i>2. In the RFC Sender channel
App Server Gateway: R/3 system's hostname
App Server Service: of the R/3 system
Program ID: SAPSLDAPI_X3A</i>
The App Server Gateway, App Server Service & Program ID should match with what you have given in the RFC destination of R/3 system.
After this try doing a test connection from the RFC destination sm59. Your test should be succesful.
<i>3. In the RFC Metadata Repository Parameter, the details of the R/3 system is provided.</i>
This is fine
<i>4. The RFC is triggered by calling a report program specifying the RFC destination.</i>
This is also fine.
Also in order to see any messages in SXMB_MONI you need to enable Logging. Trace level = 3 will not capture the Sync message. RFC is by default Sync. If your sender is not expecting any response then you will get an error in the response message, in this case you need Async.
For Async you need to add this addition while doing the call function "IN BACKGROUND TASK". Also make sure you re mentioning the <b>destination</b> while doing the call function.
Check you have mentioned
DESTINATION <rfc destname>.
Thanks,

File to IDOC scenario not working
I have configured a file to idoc scenario and kept the XMl file in a shared location on XI server.
I have also created and checked the communication channels correctly.
Once Everything is done my xml file does not get picked up at all. Also the SXMB_MONI does not show any messages for my service.
How do I find out what is the error ??Hi Kapil,
Just check the File path that was in shared location once and the file name is properly mentioned or not..
And also one thing after activating all IR and ID just goto SXI_CACHE and press <b>F6</b> to update cache refresh
And also in RWB --> Message Monitoring --> Adapter monitoring --> check the status of the sender

File to RFC Scenario - Not working with AAE
I have a File to RFC Scenario (calling RFC /POSDW/CREATE_TRANSACTIONS_EXT) using AAE but it is failing with following error in PI .
MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.afcommunication.RfcAFWException: error while processing message to remote system:com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc.core.client.RfcClientException: functiontemplate from repository was <null>

But When I run the same scenario using IE instead of AAE, it is successful from PI. So probably there is nothing wrong in RFC channel configuration.
There's an OSS note-730870 on this error ,it says the XML document sent to RFC Adapter may not be RFC-XML but as I am using AAE, payload generated after technical routing cannot be viewed.
Could you all please suggest why this error is coming and solution for the same?
Thanks,
AnkitHi Debashish,Monica,
Thanks for your help, I checked this SAP note its question 16 do describe my problem but do not provide solution and as I am using AAE it does not allows me to see the target structure generated whereas if I use IE the target structure generated is sucessfully getting posted.
Also, the functional module is present in target system. I have reimported the RFC also.
Is there some AAE related configuration required to enable AAE with RFC which could be missing?
This is what I get in log as the RFC reciever is called..

Just set this parameter in SXMB_ADM >integration engine configuration>specific configuration--> choose RUNTIME --> ACK_SYSTEM_FAILURE.

Scheduled scenarios not working
Hi everyone,
I have created and configured ODI agent as Java EE Application successfully as mentioned below:
http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/odi/odi_11g/setup_jee_agent/setup_jee_agent.htm
The test is successful.
Now I am trying to schedule a scenario using this agent as below :
http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/odi/odi_11g/Creat_Schedul_Scen/Creating_Scheduling_Scenario.htm
But seems like the scheduler never runs..and there are no execution logs as well.
When I try to run the same scenario using the same agent, it runs fine.
Am I missing something here?Yes.. I have already done - Update Schedule on that agent.. The scheduled is updated successfully.
Additionally, I have more then 1 agent up and running...Will that cause any problems?
Do I need to do something in the Load balancing tab of the agent?

Alert configuration Not working in RWB
Hi,
In RWB alertconfiguration is not working, showing the error
<b>404 Not Found</b>". I gone through this thread
Alert configuration or Alert Inbox-----404 Not Found
And my host name is full host name.
In exchange profiles my port is 50100 (J2EE PORT) (Not Changed)
1. In SMICM when I changed to port to 50100 (J2EE) then alert configuration
working, But My scenarios not working throwing error : System Error.
<b>Error Category XI_J2EE_MESSAGING_SYSTEM
Error Code HTTP_TRANSMISSION_ERROR</b>
2. In SMICM when I changed to port to 8001 (ABAP Port) then Alert configuration not working (Error : 404 Not Found), but my scenarios were working fine.
what would be the reason?
thx in advance,
Ansar.HI,
If Error: 404 Not Found
Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs.
Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination
