If any body have sample spec please send me.
    Thanks,

    Hello
Functional design documents are client specific and are confidential.
However, the heading structure may look as follows:
Normally there would be a template to prepare functional specs.
    Recording version history is mandatory.
Give the document number as agreed( There would be a logic for this)
General Data: Desc / release / priority / complexity / status / application
Change History: Give rows for different dates
    Approvers: Give Rows / names

  • Laptop spec help please

    Hi,
I have just started using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. My last laptop ran really slowly once I was using them so I am looking to buy a new one.  I would like to know what spec laptop I need to run these programmes efficiently.
    Any help appreciated, thanks!

Look at the min-requirements for Photoshop. It's the most memory intensive of the two.
    http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/tech-specs.html
Then buy or have built for you a super fast, 64-bit processor & 64-bit OS, the biggest hard drive, the fastest video card and the most RAM memory that you can reasonably afford.

We export mxf files using FCP 6.0.6 after we downloaded the Sony XDCAM exporter. You have to build a 1440x1080 dual-mono sequence to do it, but so far, no problem. It takes a few minutes, but the file>export>Sony XDCam setting comes up. we just drag our finished sequences into the mxf sequence for export. I am still working on multiple audio tracks, however...

  • System spec help

I have recently purchased the Master Collection CS4 and now need a decent PC. I'm purchasing for the company I work for and am limited to DELL...
I am not a graphic designer or pro video guy. I'll never make a full lengeth movie. 90% of what I need to do is take 1 hour videos of training sessions, trim/edit footage, render out video file, make DVD of video. I have been doing this with a crappy laptop and $100 software for about 4 years and I have finally convinced them to let me get a new PC. The bellow specs hit at about our budget, but I have some room if this is not sufficient for my needs.
So I am looking at the following:
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (2.83GHz, 12M, 1333MHz FSB)
    8GB  800MHz Ram
    512MB ATI RADEON HD4670
    2 - 320GB HDs with 16MB DataBurst Cache
    2 - 22" LCD
    64-Bit Vista
My IT guy wants to get an OptiPlex 960. I think this would be OK, but the RAM would be maxed out at 8GB in an OptiPlex. Is that a real issue? This machine will be used only for the Adobe software.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for the answers! I was a bit unsure. I feel better now! I feel guilty having a nice setup and not much knowledge on its use, but I look forward to learniing. I really like working with video and this could translate into a job change some day after I learn what I'm doing!
I just got an email from my IT guy while typing the first paragraph. He ordered the system as I speced in my first post with a change to two 1TB drives. How should I have them configured. I will not be given a third for now, but I could justify it later probably.
What type of render time should I expect for a 45min video? just basic cuts no "fancy" effects or anything? Source would be AVCHD going to DVD. Just a ball park idea as I'm a bit excited and don't want to over estimate it. I currently set my computer to render and go to bed and hope it's done when I get up.

  • Macbook Design specs help!

Hello... im looking for the design specs for the keyboard area of the macbook, like something i can print off and it will be the exact layout of the computer
    like this
    http://images.apple.com/macbook/images/specs_input20081014.jpg
but in real life size that i can print and cut out and it will fit over
basically what im trying to do is buy a gelaskin ( https://www.gelaskins.com/skins.php?Skin=121&Category=7 )
and cut it so it will fit around the part where your wrist goes to protect it from scratches, and around the top of the macbook and also cut out a part for all the keys so i can have a picture where you type, im not daring enough to buy the skin and try to cut it perfectly so i was looking for a specs or a print out thing that i could print off, and stick it behind the gelaskin and cut it then stick it on.... does that make sense ?
any help is much appreciated... wanted to make something sweet that no one had.

im basically trying to do this
http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/shay_ca/?action=view&current=Picture4-1.png but also cover the trackpad and the keys, but i need a stencil or something to make it work
    anyone?!?!?

  • IMac spec help required for virtualisation needs.

Hi I currently own a MBP 13" core 2 duo with 4GB ram and its hardware limitations are becoming apparent for my needs and I cannot increase the memory any further.
I have recently taken a career change and started working in IT which I love to bits.  As part of my job I have to complete several Microsoft Exams.
I learn by doing practice scenarios and have been using Parallels 6 for Mac, virtualising 2 Windows 7 and getting them to communicate to each other etc. There will be other things to learn down the line.  I like Parallels because you can flip easily between OSX and MS take snapshots etc.  However my current MBP does struggle (it pages to the HDD and the fans do kick in) & I am looking for another Mac as I like the all in one form factor screen etc, I don't want a beige box.
I would really like another MBP but the memory only goes up to 8Gb Ram so considering the iMac range but with the iMac comes limitations - portability.
As I progress with my new career I will have to take further exams in further subjects such as Windows Server 2008 R2 & Exchange 2010 and so on.
I would like to continue using Parallels 6 but my main issues is the spec.
A training example I maybe thinking of is:
    1 to 2 Windows 7 Virtual clients
    1 Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP2 running a Domain & Exchange 2010
or to replicate real world scenario
as above but 2 * Windows 2008 Server R2 (1 with a Domain controller the other with Exchange 2010).
I may also want to learn Windows Small Business Server - so something similar to the above.
This will (ideally) be running on OSX using Parallels 6.
With this in mind I am considering:
    iMac 27" 2011 -
    3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
4GB ram Plus 8Gb purchased separately totalling 12GB (may consider maxing out to 16gb if needed)
256 Gb SSD with the 2TB HDD
I understand that I will have to balance the needs of OSX and the guest operating systems I am hoping the i7 will give me this flexibility as there are virtual cores.
    eg Host - OSX - 2CPU's & 4GB ram
    2* Win 7 - 1 CPU shared & total of 2GB ram
    Windows 2008 R2 (Domain controller) - 1 CPU & 2GB ram
Windows 2008 R2 with Exchange 2010 & test mailboxes etc - allocate 2 CPU's (hoping that the virtual cores come into play) & 4GB ram.
As this is going to be a testing & learning environment there isn't going to be a massive load on the exchange box or loads of clients accessing so I am hoping the memory & cpu requirements are going to be ok.
    My main questions are:
1- Will the above iMac spec do?
2- Should I max out the ram to 16gb?
3- Is the standard AMD Radeon HD 6970M 1GB do or should I upgrade to the 2GB due to the number of virtual machines.
4- As this iMac will cost some money could I get away with an i5???
5- Will it perform ok - ie will my OSX environment and my guest os's work smoothly without any lag
6- Will the i7 Virtualisation of the CPUs work (as in my real world scenario I have run out of "actual cpu's!!)
7- Is there a likely hood that the iMac could over heat with all the work that I am asking it to do?
8- Confirm my gut feelings that a MBP would not be able to do the the tasks I am asking it to do?!!!
10 - Any suggestions to getting my MBP to connect remotely to the iMac so I can do virtualisation work on it?
11- Has anyone done something similar and got any advice / tips on their setup.
12- Should I just not bother using OSX and just use Microsoft Hyper V (still on an iMac though)
Any answers / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Ta.

    1. I would think the system that you have is mind is more than enough.
    2. No, I think 8GB is find, but if you are planning on running 4 or 5 VMs at the same time then maybe 12GB.
    3. This is find.
    4. Yes, the i5 will work for you also.
    5. Yes, but again if you have 4 or 5 VMs open it could lag.
    6. Yes both the i5 and the i7.
    7. No, It has has a few fans that will take care of heat.
    8. Yes, I would think any of the current MacBook Pro's con handle this also.
    9. Yes, Apple Remote Desktop, Back to my Mac, LogMeIn, etc.
    10. Get the largest hard drive available for you new system.
    11. No, use Parallels.
Good luck with your new position.

  • Need some spec help looking on buying mac pro

    Hello
I have been looking at getting a Mac for quite some time now I have used Windows all my life and I'm tired of it. I happen to have my birthday coming up and I have all this holiday money set aside for a mac pro. Here is my problem I only have around $800 so I cant really get an Intel Mac but I'm easily in the range for the Power Mac. I'm mostly going to play World of Warcraft and do iLife, iWork, and use Adobe CS3 when I get the cash. I'm a little scared though to buy a Power Mac because everything is going to Intel should I be worried. Also should I look for something else instead or just keep waiting for more money I have a 27' TV that supports HDMI and VGA and I would like to have a Mac I can upgrade because I'm going to College here in two years.
Thanks for all your help in advance

I would suggest to you to get a macmini.
its in your budget, and can run all the apps you mentioned.
In two years, you'll still be able to get something for it if you decide to upgrade to a macpro.
what kind of powermac were you looking at?

  • Broadcasting Settings help needed...

    Dear All,
We have the following scenario in BW 3.5 version and this was running fine till 2 weeks ago.
Info object 0CALWEEK, variable S_CALWEEK used in report. The variable contains ABAP code(User Exits) that picks the three preceding weeks of the week in which the report runs: If running the report in week 24 the report will show data of week 21, 22 and 23.
If I run this report using regular way (RRMX or RSRT) the expected result would be fine because the values for variable are filled properly.
But, if I do the same using information broadcasting using scheduling option and use of the settings: general precalculation, this is works fine only at the first time of scheduling not the subsequent schedules (according to above example, for 25th week it should be 24, 23 and 22 but in my case I am getting the old result 23, 22 and 21 which was shown at the first time schedule).
I suspect that the problem is with scheduling function for refreshing the calweek values.
Also it would be good to know the available options in tab General Precalculation:
What is variable assignment and where are the values are coming from?
As I have to schedule these reports I would like to know exactly what is going wrong and why it is going wrong.
    Best Regards,
    KS

    Dear Durgesh,
    Thanks for reply.
We use Customer Exit variable only for this req.
When I do schedule 1st time, the values are calcuated correctly. Let's say...this is 35th week so, the values has to be 34, 33 and 32 and this is the expected result. As a best practice, we will not do anything manually if the event is weekly basis so we will be depending on weekly schedule.
When I go for weekly schedule, the subsequent week is not dervied properly with expected result and the available result would be 34, 33 and 32 even for coming week(36).
    Kindly support me on this.
    Best Regards,
    KS

  • Prescott 478 stepping E0 compatibility/specs help

Just bought all of this and I am having problems with all of the latest BIOS's for my board. I had the D0 stepping and the latest 1.9 BIOS worked fine. Now I upgraded to the E0, and I keep having weird things happen during log on to windows and sometimes even after logging on. Maybe it need N.B. & S.B. chipset support? I noticed the Intel chipsets have all just been upgraded for the E0 stepping, and supposedly, 64 bit technology. but no VIA board updates. Please help! Thanks in advance!
Also if anyone knows any specifics about this processor/chipset/stepping/socket478, such as the new power management features, and Executive Disable bit please let me know. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank's for responding!
I never thought of uninstalling the CPU! I will do that now to be safe.
But I could not even perform a clean XP install or format with BIOS 1.9 so I do not think that will help my updating problem until MSI updates the BIOS for stepping E0.
As for cleaning the processor, it is brand new boxed with HS/fan w/thermal paste, and I just threw it in (not literally of course). Do you think I should clean it with something? I am going to get AS one of theese days.

  • Streaming Live Broadcast Video, help!

I was going to use Media Encoder to generate FLV files, and hoping to build an AIR app in Flash.
The end result is a very simple and basic app where you select between 4 or 5 streams of live video.
I'm talking basic beyond basic for the user. I've got a flash server and tons of bandwidth, and hoping
to do this in a 720x486 frame size. I'm down with the basics of Flash, but no experience in doing Air Apps.
Thoughts on the plan of attack?

i would suggest in buying/trying Flex Builder 3
Air has never been simpler, once you master the GUI of flex, you can create your applications in air/web alike with ease.
I myself use flex builder daily for my needs, it takes some getting used to, but basically what you get with flex (unless youre already familiar) is a developer-friendly interface with a wysiwyg GUI editor, along with AS3 scripting functionality.
Thats the best bet, also, a book about Flex couldnt hurt, but there are tons of online resources available for this.
(as an example, i ported a quite complex people and content application i made for the web, into air, in about 2 minutes).

  • Tecra A11-1EJ - more detailed specs help

Tecra A11-1EJ, might be my next notebook. but as an audio pro related hardware compatibility i need info. which USB controller is installed (example intel ICH10)?
This info is essential for time critical low latency audio hardware connected.

thanx doc, but the same pdf I have.
NAME of the controller? CODE? An example: dell precision, nice design, rough pc, has it all. inside it`s all chinese chipsets, a pc worth 400eur. sold for 2500eur. not bad. but low latency audio forget on chinese chipsets. right now my Satellite P200-1BA still goes and on all texas instruments chipsets, any audio hardware works like on a desktop, no wonder why. Good job toshiba here!
But the problem is here, I am a customer that do not mind paying 200+eur, but give me the best, I need less than 4ms latency here! I need a workstation, and I do not mean design, I meand brand chipsets, best hardware. Without this we have no performance guys.
Name? You know what you sell or is it a secret?

  • New Computer Specs Help

Looking at upgrading my G5 FC system to a Mac Pro & wanted to get some input. Here is what they are proposing:
    • Mac Pro Dual 2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 6GM, GeForce GT 120, 640GB, SD, GT (3/09) Specifications
    • 2-Hitachi 1TB Deskstar 3.5" SATAII 7200RPM Hard Drive
    • Sonnet Fusion 2.5TB D500P - Port Multiplier
    • Sonnet 4 External port 3Gb/s SATAII Compliant PCIe Mac/PC
My main concern is the hard drives since I've had a couple go bad on me recently and I'm not
familiar with Sonnet. Any input would be appreciated.

Upgrade the graphics card to the ATI HD 4870, particularly if you use Motion or intend to.
Hitachi make excellent drives. Good choice.
I can't comment on the Sonnet stuff. Someone else will be able to chime in there.
