BSP application accessing error throgh browser

Hi ,
I am new to BSP.I need simple help.During my BSP execution.Its asking Domain name in URL path.Actually my SAP system is installed on Local installation.Can execute BSP Applications on system which is installation based on Lcal system installation procedure.
How can i resolve this domain issue during BSP execution.If u solve thsi issue things will be easy.
Plz suggest necessary configuration reqiured in BSP execution using Domain.

it doesn't matter if it is a local installation or not.
You need a fully qualified domain name, as stated and explained in this weblog:

If the machine is not part of a domain, do the following:
choose a domain name for yourself (should not match an existing real one), use it to set the icm parameter, and add an entry to your hosts file which matches your machine's FQDN to its IP.

Iam using the standard BSP application Employee (CRMM_EMPLOYEE). Iam trying to run from Portal and getting following error.

BSP application access via internet

hi all,
has any one implemented Bsp application which is accessed via eportal on the internet ,
i have a application which works fine on the intranet , but it does not work when accessed via the internet .
What could be the reason?

to access your BSP from internet your app server from where BSP runs has to be exposed to internet (DMZ). you should talk to your system admin guys to set it up

BSP Application CRM_UI_FRAME - Error

Hi Experts,
When starting the BSP Application CRM_UI_FRAME an error message is raises HTTP_COMMUNICATION_FAILURE (ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED
). The error is raised in Class CL_HTTP_CLIENT Method IF_HTTP_CLIENT~RECEIVE. You can check ST22 for the Short dumps.
Kindly help me in resolving the error.

LSO BSP Application display error in portal

Dear experts,
In LSO Learner portal the BSP application HCM_LEARNING is not displaying properly.
If we execute the same application from SE80 from admin login the application is working and it is displaying correctly but if we execute from different login the application is not working and the pages are not displaying and it is giving the below error.
No authorization to log on as a Trusted System (L-RC=0 T-RC=2).

Either SSO is not configured correctly or there is something wrong with the system in the portal you configured for this iView

Cannot start BSP application from browser

hi all
Cannot start standard BSP application TUTORIAL_1 through web browser. When i test TUTORIAL_1 , a seprate browser window opens which asks for login credientals but no contents are displayed.
i checked SICF service and they are active ,also i set parameter icm\server_port_0 and icm\host_name_full
Still i m getting a ABAP DUMP "CX_BSP_HOST_NOT_QUALIFIED" and no contents displayed in browser

That a little bit of work is still required here. As you write that you don't want to restart application server, and this is only a test server, let me make a suggestion.
Do NOT change anything on the WebAS server.
Step 1: Find you hosts file (on my machine it is c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) and add the following line into this file.
1.2.3.4 myWebAS.domain.ext myWebAS
The name is not important, but must be a string you will remember. The 1.2.3.4 is the IP address of your WebAS. Please write in the correct value instead of my example value!
Step 2: Start you BSP application as usual. When the popup comes for your password, press cancel. You will now see in the top of the browser some URL of the form: http://myWebAS:port/sap/... The :port is only there if you are not using the default port 80. Now manually change the URL by adding the domain you configured previously. It should now be: http://myWebAS.domain.ext:port/sap/... Press ENTER to load this URL.
This way you are using a FQDN, and the browser is able to resolve this pseudo name onto the correct IP address. The WebAS/BSP will be happy with this.
Not the most satisfactory solution, but it should get you at least on the road.

Access deinied error in browser while accessing bsp application in Portal

Hi All,
I'm integrating SRM in to Enterprise portal using SRM business package,in which i access CCM iviews which were buit using BSP Application. EP in one host, and BSP Application resides in another host, so there are 2 different hosts. I define full hostname to both host, example, EPhost.domain.com and BSPhost.domain.com. The iView can be displayed in Portal. However, when I click one of the button or drop down in that iview displayed on the iView's toolbar (e.g. buttons are New, Goto), it gives me "Access is denied".
Any idea to fix this?

Run Time Error while executing BSP application in Safari browser

Hi Frens,
I am new to BSP application. I have made changes for an existing BSP application which has to be executed on both IE and Safari browsers. I made changes in the View for IE browser and it is executing correctly. I have done the same changes in the Safari view also but when executed in Safari, the browser hangs up and in the backend in SAP it goes to dump. The dump message is as below:
" An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assinged to the class 'CX_BSP_ELEMENT_EXCEPTION', was
not caught,
which led to a runtime error.
The reason for this exception is:

BSP Application Error : Access Denied

Hi Gurus,
I have developed a BSP application with an input field and a search help. I am using Java script to popup the search help window and "opener.document.<form>.<field>.value=value;" to pass selected value from search help window to main page. At BSP application level I have checked "Allows Portal Integration" check box. Now, when I try to select the value from search help at runtime, I am getting an error "Access Denied". It works perfectly fine when the check box "Allows Portal Integration" is unchecked. How do I resolve this issue keeping the check box checked.

The problem is that your popup windows probably do not have their domain relaxed. (Usually popp windows are implemented in an iframe, which must also be relaxed in the same way as the main page.)

Javascript error calling a bi 7.0 webapplication from a bsp application

Hi everyone,
This is the scenario we're facing a javascript error :
Enterprise Portal is calling a custom bsp application ( via an iview in the enterprise portal ) in the bi system with a parameter "template_id" and a value, which is the technical name of a bi web application.
The bsp application is evaluating the parameter by some custom code and creating a html page with a redirect or a maintenance message to the bi web application passed with the parameter "template_id".
The html link to the bi web application is created according to this documentation :

Purpose of the bsp application :
in the bi system there is a database table to maintain a flag for each webtemplate and infocube, which should not be called via the enterprise portal for a certain time ( some kind of maintenance switch ). The bsp application then decides to show a maintenance page for the called webtemplate or to send the redirect page to the client.
The process described above is :
working with the bi 7.01 sp7 in the bi ( enterprise portal sp22 ) in the productive system.
working in the Q&A system bi 7.01 sp8 with bi 3.5 web applications.
not working in the Q&A system bi 7.01 sp8 with bi 7.0 web applications.
The javascript error calling bi 7.0 web applications is :

We've opened a message. Support center is saying that this method isn't supported by sap. We should ommit the bsp application and the used functionality.
Is there any way to find out, what is causing this object is missing ?
Is there another way than a bsp application to use this custom maintenance function in the described system setup ?

we did some further analysis on this problem und we think we found the problem.
The error occurs while trying to execute the standard url for web templates inside a Enterprise Portal Frame, for example

While executing the URL a HTML-Page with some embeded Javascript-code is sent back to the browser.
In this Javascrip-Code, the method-call "dsmObj.registerAll" leads to a script error in Internet Explorer.

In SP7, the method "dsmObj.registerFullKey" is called instead of "dsmObj.registerAll". This has changed in SP8.

The object "dsmObj" seems to reference the parent frame of the Enterprise Portal.

Are you calling some function module from the BSP page?
If yes, it seems that it is not getting called properly.
Function module has to be remote enabled and called from BSP page as: call <FM> DESTINATION '<destination>'. If destination server is same, use 'NONE' as destination
Or, the problem may be because of mismatch of a data/table type in Function module when called from BSP. In such a case, put a breakpoint at function module and debug to see - at what point, your application fails.

i am using activax object "Microsoft.XMLHTTP" in my BSP application
and calling following url

but it give me the error permission denied

i can open this URL from browser, but when i call any URL from my javascript codes in BSP application it gives error "Permission denied" or url is forbidden. this happens with other url also. I have seen some thread on it and tried to put this url in my browser trusted site even after it shows same error.

Error: Page cannot be displayed when testing BSP application from SE80

Welcome to the forums and welcome to BSP. There are a few things we kindly ask

That will help you jump several of the hurdles you'll come across as you get started.
As for your problem if you are receiving the message "Service is not active" then you need to go into the transaction SICF in your system and follow the tree (take a look at the path in your browser /sap/bc/...) and select each until you get down to the one you are trying to look at and active it.
If you are getting errors about other ones not activated then do the same for those.
If you are not getting those errors and your browser is simply telling you "Can't find it or something" then in "Internet Options" in your browser advanced tab uncheck the "Show Friendly HTTP Errors".
You can also check transaction ST22 to see if there is a short dump in which case that will help analyze the problem.
Otherwise you'll need to give us more info including your SP level (recommend you jump up to at least 43 on ABA and BASIS)

Error - Creating a Web Dynpro Application Accessing ABAP Functions

we are trying to implement a web dynpro application with accessing ABAP functions.
Previous tasks:
- insert the ABAP system into the SLD from the NWDI System (Transaction RZ70; the ABAP system is correctly insert into the SLD => technical systems)
- equipped the JCO connections with the web dynpro content manager (ping and test = OK)
Its the standard tutorial out of the SDN called Creating a Web Dynpro Application Accessing ABAP Functions.

- Im able to start the application out of the Web Dynpro content manager with run => only the user interface is displayed without any functionality
- The normal start over the NWDS fails => error text
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.core.DispatcherException: The requested deployable object 'local/J08_Flugdat_Daventdcflight~xxx.com' and application 'FlightListApp' are not deployed on the server. Please check the used URL for typos.
There two different URLs in use.
Start via NWDS:
http://frasapp562:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/J08_Flugdat_Daventdcflight~xxx.com/FlightListApp
Start via web dynpro content manager:
http://frasapp562:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/xxx.com/aventdc~flight/FlightListApp
For test purposes, we started the BAPI (BAPI_Flight_Getlist) on the ABAP system directly. It works.
Any ideas about the system behaviours (different URLs and missing functionality)?
