Capturing errors from sbo

When I get an error in SBO, it usually prints an error message on the bottom of the interface, on red background specifying the error code, message, table sometimes. I would like to find a list of all the errors with their details: error code, message, table, columns, description, why did it appear, how to solve it. And is there a way I could capture all the errors that appear?
Thank you,
Irina

Hey Irina.
If you look in the help files for the DI API and search for error codes there is a listing of all the error codes and a description of the error. I don't think you will find a lot of detail on why it appeared or how to solve the error message.
Each DI operation that you complete gives a return code integer. If this is a negative number that means the action failed and then you use the GetLastError Method to retrieve the detailed error information.

Nikon raw files would open up in Adobe Camera Raw and so should jpegs.

    I'm facing following problem:
    1. I have a Java program which calls other java program.
    2. I call the other java program by:
---> I run the batch file.
    Process proc =Runtime.getRuntime().exec(batchFile);
---> This batch file calls the java program.
Now In my main application that is main java program I'm capturing error and output stream of DOS command
line so that it will be displayed by my swing application.
    proc.getInputStream() and proc.getErrorStream().
But I'm not able to capture the error stream
If I don't capture the streams and run command window it will display error as
well as o/p on command window.
I'm not getting what is going wrong over here.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Capturing a system error from a FM

I'm adding/deleting/updating records in KNMT via the RV_CUSTOMER_MATERIAL_UPDATE function module.  I'm trying to find a way to catch the errors from this function module.  For example, if I try to insert a material that already exists, I get a "System error during INSERT (table KNMT subrc 4)" error and it stops the program.  What I want to do is collect that error, write a message to the screen, and go on to the next record to insert/delete/update/etc.  There are no exceptions to the FM so I'm not sure how i'm supposed to do it.  I've tried a TRY/CATCH with a cx_root.  I've also tried using the FMs MESSAGES_INITIALIZE and MESSAGES_GIVE but I can get them to work.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    CD

    Hi,
Let me give you some more details then, if further questions arised. I offerd an almost-ready-to-use code for the FM mentioned in the initial question. But the addition of
    EXCEPTIONS
        ERROR_MESSAGE = 1.
works for every function module you could use. In my case the FM PRELIMINARY_POSTING_FB01 that I was calling from my custom code, used to raise a message type 'E' in some cases. But I did not want that message to interrupt the execution of my code. Instead of that, I caught the error and handled it myself. And ERROR_MESSAGE = 1 got the job done. So I think you should give it a try
    Hope this helps,
    Grzegorz

  • How to remove error from propagation and verify replication is ok?

Have a one-way schema level streams setup and the target DB is 3-node RAC (named PDAMLPR1). I run a large insert at source DB (35million rows). After committing on source, I made a failure test on the target DB by shutting down the entire database. The streams seems stopped as the heartbeat table sequence (it inserts a row each min) on target is still reflecting last night. We get the error in the dba_propagation:
ORA-02068: following severe error from PDAMLPR1
ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQADM_SYS", line 1087
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQADM_SYS", line 7639
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_AQADM", line 631
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    08-FEB-10
while capture, propagation, and apply are all in enabled status. I restarted capture and propagation at source DB. But still see the error message above. My questions are:
    1. How to delete the error from dba_propagation?
    2. How to verify the streams is still running fine?
In normal test, during such large insert, the heartbeat table added a row in an hour. Very slow.
    thanks for advice.

Well, if I can give you my point of view: I think that 35 millions LCR is totally unreasonnable. Did you really post a huge insert of 35 millions then committed that single utterly huge transaction? Don't be surprised it's going to work very very hard for a while!
With a default setup, Oracle recommends to commit every 1000 LCR (row change).
There are ways to tune Streams for large transaction but I have not done so personnaly. Look on Metalink, you will find information about that (mostly documents id 335516.1, 365648.1 and 730036.1).
One more thing: you mentionned about a failure test. Your target database is RAC. Did you read about queue ownership? queue_to_queue propagation? You might have an issue related to that.
How did you setup your environment? Did you give enough streams_pool_size? You can watch V$STREAMS_POOL_ADVICE to check what Oracle think is good for your workload.
If you want to skip the transaction, you can remove the table rule or use the IGNORETRANSACTION apply parameter.
    Hope it helps

  • Capturing error records and messages in BDC ?

    Hi Experts,
I am recording a infotype using BDC recording and I got successfull updation in recording. But I  dont want the output message generated by BDC recording which is obtained by perform bdc_transaction using 'pa30' generated by recording.
I want to capture the success pernr values and its correponding messages in a seperate internal table. Then want to capture error pernr values and its messages in a seperate internal table.
Give me sample coding to fetch those values. Think that my internal table which contains pernr values for recording is int_0007.from this internal table I am recording values.Give me coding to collect success anf error pernr values and its messges in seperate internal table.
    Thanks,

  • Capturing Audio from DAT

    Hello,
I'm trying to capture audio from a DAT deck (Tascam DA-20) into FCP HD by routing it through my JVC BR-DV600U DV deck (RCA output from DAT, RCA input to DV deck, Firewire into FCP).
The DV deck's input is set to line-in, and the audio is being routed through (audio meters on DV deck mimic those on DAT deck, and I can hear the audio through the headphones jacked into my DV deck).
However, when I try to capture the audio on FCP, I am unsuccessful, prompting the following window from FCP: "Error: Final Cut Pro HD was unable to read the movie file just captured."
Now, I use the same set up I described above to capture footage from my Beta deck into FCP with no problems (route Beta signal through DV deck and firewire it into FCP). This leads me to believe that perhaps the glitch lies within my Capture Presets.
At first, I tried to capture the signal as an Audio-Only DV NTSC 48 Khz/Non-controllable device. After that failed, I tried to create my own capture preset, but am not sure it will make a difference, as the only input choices I am given are DV Audio, Built-In Audio, and None.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Why not capture the audio content outside of FCP, check the sample rate for 48Khz/16-bit, convert if necessary, save as an AIFF file, and then import that resulting sound file into FCP?
Any good audio app, including STP will do captures.
You are probably going to need to do some cleanup on the audio anyway before you use it, so why not just use an audio app to do it beforehand?
Besides, if you have an audio device (PCI card or Firewire device) in your Mac, you can use the S/PDIF port for your connection to the DAT and do a digital transfer when you import.
As I understand the way you are doing it now, you are taking digital content from the DAT, converting it to analog for the connection into your deck, and then re-converting it into digital when you capture it back into FCP.
One big advantage of digital audio (and video) is to avoid generation loss and added noise during transfer if you go D-to-D.
If you don't have an audio card or Firewire A/D audio I/O device with S/PDIF ports in your Mac, then see if you can find a friend who has one and can do the transfer for you. Then he can give you the file on a CD-ROM.
    That's what I'd do.

The only thing I can think of is to check the Capture side - see Monitoring Capture - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1) (and the following chapter). Try to find what's being logged. Focus namely on Commit Batches (4.4.4.)
I'm afraid that either way (user will be in Capture, but not in UCM, or user won't be in either Capture, or UCM) you will need to search if something like that was not reported.

  • Capturing errors in trace file

If I intentionally out a error in report and run it through report bulider, the trace file shows proper errors.
But, If I try to run it from command prompt, it produces the trace file but dosen't give error information. I have tried giving TRACEOPT = TRACE_ALL. and all other trace options. Do we have any other way to capture errors in report.?
My reqirement is to log the errors produced in the report to a table, and find out the successful execution of the report.

    Hi All ,
MY database is oracle 11G , SParc OS 64 Bit , i got the same error on my primary database.
Please find the exact error below :
    KQRCMT: Write failed with error=604 po=3ebb848b0 cid=13
    diagnostics : cid=13 hash=d906a6b flag=2a
    KQRCMT: Write failed with error=604 po=3ebb848b0 cid=13
diagnostics : cid=13 hash=d906a6b flag=2aThat is the only error in the trace file.
i have checked on google and metalink but not much is available.
    please suggest
    Thanks

  • Data Reading Capture Error - what's up with this?

I know a few others have posted about this, but I have not seen an explanation.
My stats: 10.4.2 (yes, I'm going to get 10.4.3 - I will eat my pants if that has anything to do with this), FCP 5.0.3, G4 1.5GHz Pbook, LaCie 250GB external firewire drive for capture (TONS of space), Sony GV D300 capture deck, footage shot on the Panasonic DVX100 24p camera. The tapes are non-dropframe.
The error reads: Capture encountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be due to a problem with the tape. To capture as much of your footage as possible, please log and capture a clip that ends before this segment, and another one that starts right after it.
This sounds to me suspiciously like Apple programmers punting on a known bug just prior to release, rather than something ACTUALLY wrong with my tapes, my computer, my connections, my drives or my deck.
The reason I say this is that I have just started a new project and am capturing five tapes of footage. I am on tape 4. I had no problem capturing from two of the 4 tapes so far - so my cables, deck, drive and software are fine.
On the 2 tapes that have given me problems, there is also discontinuous timecode. This is the DP's fault. However: the capture error is NOT occurring in places on the tape where the TC breaks (or skips, rather). THAT problem is simply causing the usual errors and requiring careful logging.
Instead, I get the error in question for clips that appear to be fine in terms of TC. When I get the capture error, I have actually been able to do 2 Capture Nows, but instead of capturing on both sides of the problem area ("this segment" in the error message parlance), I have been able to capture ALL OF THE TIMECODE in 2 clips. That is, when the capture fails and kicks out a mini clip (up to the point where the capture snagged), I can start a Capture Now from one frame after the last TC in the mini clip and Capture from there to the end.
So that suggests to me that there is nothing wrong with my tapes, either. To me, this is conclusive evidence of a pure software error.
I am wondering, therefore, if there is anyone from Apple monitoring these boards who can tell me what is ACTUALLY happening here and what to do, because it's very frustrating.
    Thanks,
    Nathan Jongewaard

My suggestion is that you reconsider whether your in Non-Drop frame. NTSC standard is Dropframe 29.97. I'm afraid you may have this backwards. DVX100's default to dropframe (29.97fps) in the USA. FCP could be encountering a pulldown cadence every few minutes because it expects a frame drop that is not there.
Remember the frame drop only occurs every few minutes so this makes sense. With standard NTSC capture (not 24fps pulldown removal) such dropped frames don't mess anything up. They just subtly shift the timing and sync of the audio track. You could have captured this way for years and rarely seen a problem with short clips. When doing a pulldown removal, a missing or in your case extra frame can confuse the pulldown removal system as it expects to find the video encoded in 29.97 rather than 30fps.

hi all, i want to capture image from my webcam and play it, but it's not workThat's a very descriptive error message, "it's not work". Everyone on the board will certainly be able to help you out with that.
The first error I see is that you're using the CaptureDeviceManager in an applet. If T.B.M pops in here, he can tell you why that's going to be a CF 99% of the time.
The other error I see is that your code looks absolutely nothing like any working JMF webcam capture code I've personally ever seen.
Lastly, the big one, even if you were somehow capturing video magically, you're not even trying to display it...so I'm not entirely sure why you expect to see anything with the code you just posted.

Your best bet would be starting over and using the example code from the page linked above.

  • If I want to keep the quality of the original captured footage(from the tapes),what format should I?

I captured canon hv20 by firewire to my computer with adobe premiere elements 11. After capture, I have cutted clip three times. Then I want to export my computer because of I watch on my 46 inches full hd lcd television. If I want to keep the quality of the original captured footage (from the tapes), what format should I? I choosen mpeg 1440x1080i 24, it alerts error. Or i chosee avchd 1920x1080p, then it is too larger than captured scenes. I think it is 20000MB but captured scened (without cut) only 11.2 gb. Please help me. Thanks very much.

    YCLCS
File size and Bitrate and Quality are interrelated. From what I have read, the bitrate for your HDV footage from the PAL Canon HV20 camcorder should be about 25 Mbps (megabits per second). If you did a HDV data capture firewire into Premiere Elements, you should MPEG2.mpg file on the Timeline.
    When you did your export
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    MPEG
using Presets = MPEG2 1440 x 1080i25, did you make any changes in the settings under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of the preset?
When you look at the settings in the Export Settings dialog for the MPEG 1440 x 1080i25 preset, you will see the default bitrate settings
    Minimum = 18 Mbps
    Target = 25 Mbps
    Maximum = 30 Mbps
The program's export bitrate may be higher than that of your source media, resulting in the increased file size. You can check out the bitrate, using the properties readout from a free program such a MediaInfo
    http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en
You could experiment with different bitrate, trying to maintain the quality as you decrease the maximum bitrate from 30 Mbps downward to reduce the file size.
The file extension of your export should be .m2t, .mpg. So, your export is MPEG2.m2t. I find that that type of file will playback in Windows Media Player, but not QuickTime (latest version). This particular export would be the closest to the source media properties.
But, right now I would try to perfect the MPEG2 1440 x 1080i25, experimenting with the bitrate to bring the file size into line with the source file and still maintain video quality. The AVCHD.mp4 suggested by Ann Bens is a prime candidate quality wise. If size becomes a factor, you might want to explore a 1920 x 1080i25 or 1440 x 1080i25 Windows Media Video 9.wmv file which we can discuss in more detail depending on how things are going.
Please review the above and then let us know how we can help.
    Thanks.

  • Cs5 capture error \src\timecode.cpp-995

I've been seeing this error around for a while with no solutions it seems, I'm hoping I just missed something obvious:
Whenever I try to capture footage in any project the capture window freezes and premiere says
    Premiere Pro debug event
Premiere pro has encountered an error
    [...]\[...]\src\timecode.cpp-995
then crashes. When I say try to capture I mean even opening the capture window causes this.
A Little while ago I captured an hdv project no problem. time passes, no changes to software or system, and I attempt to capture DV from my Gl2 through firewire by going to File>capture. the window begins to open but is blank and I get the above error and crash. This happens whether or not I have the camera on or off, or the cable not plugged in at all.  I Can't even get to the point where it says It cant find the camera. This is happening no matter what format I create a new project in.
I've tried reinstalling, getting rid of background processes, turning capture device control on and off.
OnLocation's capture works just fine so luckily I can still work.
    I'm running Windows 7 pro x64
    intel i7 975, 4gb ram, nvidia gtx 280m
I know theres more info im supposed to provide. I found a list somewhere in the help and support area by mistake earlier and now I can't find it again, sorry.

The Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3) update fixes some stability issues with capturing on Windows. Let us know how things work after you've installed the update.
