Budgeting through Internal Order - Issues in Purchase Requisition

Hi All,
I have posted the issue in ERP Matyerial Management Forum also, but since this has a lot to do with CO-Internal Order, so posting the same here.
Objective: We want to activate Commitment Update and budgeting for Capital purchases thrugh Internal Order. Budgeting is done for IO.
For the budgeting to get activated in Purchase requisition, Internal Order tagged to the Asset should be present/seen in the PR.
For PR with Account assignment Cat as 'A', I am not able to see the Internal order (mapped to the asset) in PR. The field 'Internal Order' in PR is coming BLANK despite the fact that the Asset used in the PR has been tagged to a valid Internal Order (of the Object Class - Investment, with Commitment update activated).
What other setting is missing?
Pls note the following:
1) Account assignment cat 'A' has been set to DISPLAY CO/PP order ( T code - OME9)
Issue is that this field in the PR is NOT getting populated at all.
2) Commitment management, Availability Control have also been activated in the system
. Internal Order status management has also been checked.
Any help in this respect will be highly appreciated
Thanks
Gayathri

Hi Gayatri,
when you are saying"budgeting for Capital purchases thrugh Internal Order",how do you use account assignment category "A"?
if your requirement is budgeting for capital purchases through IO then you should use account assignment category in respective PR.Automatically it will control budget/commitment wrt those internal orders.
Hope this helps you.

  • Assigning an Internal Order to a Purchase Requisistion

    Hello,
Probably not an ABAP question but I have noticed that most(if not all) question regarding PR's are directed here.
Anyways my question is quite simple, is there a way to assign an Internal Order to a Purchase Requisition. I know there is an Account Assignment where the Fixed Asset is entered in the PR but some of the Internal Orders arent even fixed assets (or assets for that matter as some are overhead costs).
Thank you everyone and good day.

    Hi Chad,
when you create a purchase requisition (transaction ME51N) pick for your line item the account assignment <b>F</b> (the account assignment is the first field after the item number with the header <i>A</i>).
Then you can assign in the item details an order number (tab <i>Account Assignment</i>).

  • How to block entry through internal order budget in F-02

    Hi,
Kindly tell me during Purchase order creation through internal order (Order related PO) whreas budget is maintained against that internal order if the PO amount is exceede than budgeted amount it gives warning / error messge that budget is exceeded. Same internal order or any other internal order which has budget against that internal order if I go to  F-02 tcode and pass entry with cost center and internal order(budget is given) both it does not give any warning message if budget value exceeded i.e, F-02 posted amount is greater than budgetd amount. It goes to next screen which should not do. Kindly tell me the reason why it is not being blocked and goes to next screen or if there is any configuration  please guide me.

    Hi Eli,
Now I have observed during saving the record in F-02 it gives warning message as per tolerance limit set in config area. Actually I want in F-02 screen when you put Document date, posting date, type, period, company code, currency, posting key(debit), GL account, next 2nd screen you mention amount, cost center, internal order(budget is maintained), posting key(credit) and press enter for next 3rd screen to put credit amount. While you go from 2nd screen to 3rd screen then warning / error message should give if amount is exceeded than budgeted amount which I am getting during saving. Is it possible to make any check between two screens ????
Beside I would ask you here tolerance limit is set as 95%, 100% and 102%. During PO creation through internal order it gives error message when amount is exceeded than 102% as budget is exceeded. If the amount is between 95% to 99% it does not give warning message which should do. But from posting in F-02 screen it gives proper messge in all levels since 95 % to 99% and 101% to 102%.

  • Budgeting thru Internal Order with Account assignment category 'A'

    Dear All
I want Budgeting thru Internal Order with Account assignment category 'A'
    i.e
    Created Assets with Tcode As01
Created Internal Order and assigned budget amount to IO with Tcode KO01 and KO22
Created Purhcase Requisition with Account assignment catg as 'A' i.e asstes. Also given Internal Order No and Asset code in PR.
    Releases PR with ME54N
Created Purchase Order with Account assignemnt catg as 'A' i.e asstes.  In Purchase Order it displays Internal Order No. and Asset code which i have given in PR in Account assignemnt tab on Item level
    Released Purchase Order.
Now i am checking budget detail in Tcode : S_ALR_87013019  -> List: Budget/Actual/Commitments ,  Here it gives message , "No line item were selected " in Commitment line items.
Actually  my requirement is , i want budgeting thru internal order and want to use Account assignment category as 'A' (Assets) in PR and PO.
Why it's not showing detail in report S_ALR_87013019  .
What is solution for my requirement. Is it possible with some configuration or by other options.
    Thanx & Regards
    Swati Shah

    Hi Swati,
You can do this in Asset Accounting. By standard MIGO Posting Date is taken as capitalization date for asset. You can configure to make it 'Document Date'.
So, whenever user is posting thru MIGO, he will have better control on deciding capitalization date by inputting appropriate date in Document Date Field in MIGO.
    Check this thread..

  • Creation of Purchase Order Instead of Purchase Requisition

    Dear Gurus,
In Extended Classic Scenario we are using SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0. we need to create only Purchase Order rather then Purchase Requisition. this is given as the development enhancement. can anyone of you tell me the procedure to go about this requirement.
In the following step : " Go to SRM --> SRM Server --> Cross Application Settings --> Define Objects in Backend System --> go to external procurement and select the function from the drop down box", it says "purchase order if item data is complete, otherwise Purchase Requsition.
So i am not sure that this will fulfill my requirement. need some help from you guys.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mohit.

    Hi Mohit,
I have gone through your query. It says you are working in Extended classic scenario.
If you want to create a P.O directly after creating a shopping cart in SRM, maintain the following settings
SPRO > IMG > SRM > SRM Server > SOURCING > Define sourcing for product categories
In that maintain category I.D, Source system and Sourcing never carried out in sourcing tab.
After maintaining these settings, once you create a shopping cart and assign a vendor in the shopping cart it will directly create a P.O instead of going to sourcing **** pit.
In case if you don't assign any vendor in Shopping cart it will still create a P.O but kept in held status. The P.O gets released once you assign a vendor.
In case you require further calrification feel free to ask.
Also reward points for suitable answers.

  • Statistical Internal Order on a Purchase Order

    Hi,
We are trying to use a statistical internal order on a purchase order along with a real cost center. But we are unable to get the internal order to show up on the FI documents being posted using goods receipt.
Purchase Order has been created with 'F" (order) as the account category. On the account assignment tab we have maitained an expense cost element & real cost center & statistical internal order.
Internal order master data has been created with just the company code and object class as OCOST.
Please let me know what we are doing incorrectly and how can we have the statistical internal order show up on the FI document.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

    Hi Venkat,
Statistical Internal order doesn't work if GL account used is not a cost element. You need to make your GL account as cost element. If the respective GL account doen not need to be cost element then you can make it statistical cost element with category 90. In this case it'll not ask for CO object or it'll not create any error or issues.
    Hope it'll work.
    Thanks,

  • Not checking the budget for internal order at the time Travel Request creat

    Hi All,
    I have two issues.
    (1) We activated travel managment in our system for public sector germany. In that case we need to create trip directly from PR05 instead of TRIP. I created budget for internal order but its not controlling and checking budget at the time of creation of the trip. We activated fund management also but i need control at internal order level. Please guide me.
    (2) While creating trip in PR05 what ever expenses mentioned in Trip it's committing and also i am able to see in fund management commitments report. We extracted reports based on COSP table. This commitment is not updating in this table. Please guide me which table is showing link between internal order and fund management account assignment objects.
    Regards,
    sree

    thanks for your reply.
I maintained Budget profile and Tolerance limits. I am getting error only at the time of posting in PRRW.But i need to control at the time of saving the trip. I can use user exit to control. If there is any standard functionality of checking the budget at the time of saving then it should be good.
For me main problem is i am not able to get report both trip commitments and fund management details. Please inform me in which table internal order and trip commitments are storing.
    Regards,
    Sree

  • Purchase order based on Purchase requisition

    Hello,
Can someone tell me how can create a Purchase Order based on Purchase Requisition in transaction ME21N. In ME21 it is all right but in ME21N where is the option?
                    Best Regards
                             João Fernandes

    Hello Joao,
When you open purchase order creation transaction (ME21N), you will find button "Document overview" click on that, it will open one column on the left side of the screen, click on colurful tree icon and it will display dropdown list from here select the Purchase requisition. This will take you to report for purchase requisiton so give your criteria and execute. You will get all open purchase requisition so just double click (or drag it to cart) on any purchase requisition it will copy in purchase order screen.
or simply, input the purchase requisition number at item level.
    Hope this helps.

  • Monthly Budget on Internal Orders

    Hi
Please can you advise how I can store a monthly budget on internal orders in order to report actual vs budget on an internal order on a monthly basis?
    regards
    CJ

thanks for your replies.  Yes, it is reporting I am interested in rather than availability control.
I've had a look in the budget profile (OKOB ?) but can't see any reference to a period-wise option.  Please can you advise where I would see this.
    thanks

  • Two purchase orders from one purchase requisition

    Hi experts,
i'm getting this strange behavior. How is possible to create 2 purchase orders from one purchase requisition ??
If i look to sales order flow i see two purchase orders.
    Thank you.

    Hello Dan M,
When u enter the material and qty in Item the system might be doing Availability check. Then u might be going to schedule line and then "check mark on "Fix qty/date". Here once again the system might be doing Availability check and then u press  "Dely proposal".
I suggest u to check the Purchase Requisition Item No. (the field next to Purchase Requisition No.). Keep watch here after every step u perform. Watch before and after u press every button.
Do carefully analysis step by step u will get the reason.
Any thing required write on the forum.
    Thanks & regards,

  • Locating Planned order from a  purchase requisition

    Hi Gurus ,
A purchase requisition has been created manually , by converting a planned order . Is it possible to find out the planned order , from a purchase requisition   Pls advise.

    Hi
Once planned order converted in to Production order or Purchase requisition, we can't see any details of the planned order.Planned orders are stored dynamically in tables.once it is  coverted,Details can not be seen even in PLAF-Plan order table.
In production order, you can see the planned order number but for PR , it is difficult to get the reference Plan order number.

  • Subcontract Production order generates wrong Purchase requisition

    Hi,
My users are creating subcon Production Orders with the CO01 t-code, and they reported to me that the Purchase requisition generated by the production order is of a different number range, thus they are unable to convert these PR into Purchase orders.
My company uses different document types and different number ranges for each of their different subsidiaries.
May i know where can i go to assign or change the Production order to pick the correct PR document type and number range?
    Thank you.

    Hi all,
Apparently I'm unable to amend the setting at OPJP because the change will affect the Production Order and Purchase requisition from another plant.
Is there a manual method for production order to generate purchase requisition instead of automatic generation?
Perhaps by the manual way, the users are able to choose which PR document type to generate from the production order?
    Please advise.
    Thank you very much.

  • Combining multiple planned orders into single purchase requisition

    Hi Gurus,
could anyone please tell me how to convert multiple planned orders generated during MRP run into a single purchase requisition? Also, is there any other way of getting single purchase requisition fcreated after MRP run for a procured item which is part of multiple BOMs?
    Thanks and regards,
    Abhik

    Hi,
Conversion of Multiple planned order to single Purchase requisition is not possible.
But you can have a single Pur.Req for Multiple requirements.
    You can do this by:
    1. Individual/collective indicator "2" collective requirements for the Header Material so that you will get your dependent requirements clubbed together.
    2. Period Lot sizing : Daily/weekly/monthly Lot size so that system will club the entire period requirements and propose a single lot.
    3. for low value materials you can have Reorder Point planning also.
    Hope this helps..

    Siva
