Bug: Microsoft.Diagnostics.Tracing.EventSource fails to generate manifest when using a byte enum.
Not sure where to post issues with this library, so I'm trying here.
This problem occurs with both
Microsoft Event Source Library 1.0.26 and the latest pre-release
Microsoft EventSource Library 1.1.13-beta
When building the following program an error occurs during manifest generation.
public enum MyEnum : byte
One,
Two,
Three
[EventSource(Name = "My-EventSource")]
public sealed class MyEventSource : EventSource
[Event(1, Channel = EventChannel.Admin, Message = "My value: {0}")]
public void MyEvent(MyEnum myEnum)
WriteEvent(1, myEnum);
error : MSXML Schema Validation Error 0xc00ce16a. At Line=13, Column=56, Union doesn't support this value.
If I change the enum type to have "Int32" as its underlying type however, everything works as expected.
Hello Peter,
>>error : MSXML Schema Validation Error 0xc00ce16a. At Line=13, Column=56, Union doesn't support this value.
For this issues, it seems to be caused by the eventRegister.exe which is installed with the Microsoft.Diagnostics.Tracing.EventSource 1.0.26, because if I use the System.Diagnostics.Tracing namespace instead, it works fine even with the byte. I think
the team might have changed its insider implementation(I am not sure since the package on nuget is not open).
My suggestion for this issue is that you could post this feedback to the site below:

Compilation failed while generating stub classes using wscompile
I am new to Web Services. I am trying to generate client stub classes from WSDL (provided by Seapine's with TestTarckPro Software), using wscompile. I am using JWSDP 1.6
====================================================================================
Here's the wscompile command,
wscompile -gen:client -d classes2 -keep -s classes2 -verbose config.xml
=========================================================================
Here's config.xml file
<configuration xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/jax-rpc/ri/config">
<wsdl
location="./ttsoapcgi.wsdl"
packageName="testtrack_interface"/>
</configuration>
=====================================================================================
I am getting following compilation errors during stub generation. Following is the compilation error part of wscompile result output

==============================================================================
My understanding is, while generating stubs, dashes or hyphens in variable names m-strFileName, m-strFixedRevision, m-dateFixedTimestamp are interpreted as minus sign and hence compilation is failing.
I tried stub generation from same WSDL with Apache Axis and it's working fine. But stub generation is failing with JWSDP. Is this a problem with this WSDL file ? Am I missing something while using wscomplie command ?
Please advise.
Thanks
Here's ttsoapcgi.wsdl file

When generating forms from Designer, Designer attaches libraries - like ofgmes.pll, ofgnavl.pll, etc. You will need to copy these libraries to the same directory where your forms reside on your Linux box. To find out what libraries ate attached to your form, open it on your windows PC after generating it from Designer and you will see the attached libraries. Also, watch out for the case-sensitivity of Linux. If you have the Designer libraries on your linux box and you still get errors, try changing the case of the names of the libraries.
Hope this helps,

Failed to view report when using ActiveXViewer.cab of Crystal Reports XI
Hi
I failed to run Active Server Pages sample application that uses Crystal Reports XI Developer Edition on windows server 2003 machine ie 6.
What i am getting is a grey page with tiny x mark, meaning that activex failed to load (if i am not mistaking)
I have followed "Troubleshooting Report Designer Component Application Issues" document and succeded in
1. manually activeX installing (checked in ie and it a matching object appeared there).
2. succesfully ran the "test.wsf" (xsl was created)
but still in ie activex won't load.
Any help will be appreciated...
thx

Resuming from suspend with Ubuntu 11.04 fails on Thinkpad 121e when using OCZ Agility 3 SSD
Hi,
On my Thinkpad 121e (model 30515RG), Ubuntu 11.04 worked flawlessly with the stock hdd. Suspend and resume were fine. After I replaced the hdd with an Agility 3 120 GB drive, the system will suspend fine (pulsating leds, etc) After I attempt to resume, I get the thinkpad beep, the resume starts and than fails. The filesystem used in both cases is ext4.
If I suspend before I log in, while only gdm is running, the system will come up, but will not function as it can not read any file from the disk, reporting missing inodes, etc.
If I suspend after being logged in, I might get a visible cursor, but nothing more.
The drive has the latest version of firmware installed. Any suggestions ?
Thanks!

BUG: Sorting drop-down lists from the field tab when using "specify item values"
Hi all,
I've finished creating my form now, but I came across this whilst writing up my documentation for maintenance tasks.
This occurs when adding new values to a drop-down list that has the "Specify item values" checkbox in the binding tab checked.
When I then try to sort my list using the built in sort buttons, it will sort the items, but the list of specified values in the binding tab does not sort reorder to stay with the original items in the list. This is hapenning when I sort from the Object > Field tab. If I sort in the Object > Binding tab then the sort will include the specified values.
For example:
A 5
C 2
D 9
Add a new value to get:
A 5
C 2
D 9
B 10
Sort the list using the button:
A 5
B 2
C 9
D 10
But it should be:
A 5
B 10
C 2
D 9I was able to duplicate this problem and it looks like a possible bug. I've submitted it to support.

Today() generating error when used in an expression
I am using today() as part of an expression to generate a conditional running total. It is producing an error in the report output.
=RunningValue(
IIF(
(not(IsNothing(Fields!PPAP_Sent_Date.Value)) and (Fields!PPAP_Sent_Date.Value <= Fields!PPAP_Request_Date.Value)
or(isnothing(Fields!PPAP_Sent_Date.Value) and (Fields!PPAP_Request_Date.Value > Today())))
,Fields!Item.Value,0
),sum,"Month" )Are you sure the Fields contain a valid date value?
try and see if this works
=RunningValue(
IIF(
(IsDate(Fields!PPAP_Sent_Date.Value) And IsDate(Fields!PPAP_Request_Date.Value) And (Fields!PPAP_Sent_Date.Value <= Fields!PPAP_Request_Date.Value))
or(isnothing(Fields!PPAP_Sent_Date.Value) and IsDate(Fields!PPAP_Request_Date.Value) And (Fields!PPAP_Request_Date.Value > Today())))
,Fields!Item.Value,0
),sum,"Month" )

[Solved] glibc-Update-fail and broken system when using custom kernel
I had a similar issue with the glibc-update as described in several threads.
I guess, the reason why I ran into the problem was that I'm using a custom-built kernel. So the kernel modules (drivers etc.) under /lib/modules/custom-kernel/ are owned by no pacman package.
At my system, after upgrating via
# pacman -Syu --ignore glibc
# pacman -Su
The upgrade failed and /lib/modules/ and the files, owned by the glibc-package remained at the still existing directory /lib.
Rebooting the computer in this situation causes a sytem freeze.
Now, here is my sucessful repair, briefly described. Maybe it will help someone:
1. Booting the computer with the Arch Linux net Install image
2. mounting my root partition manually at /mnt
3. performing the following commands:
# cd /mnt
# cp -ar lib/* usr/lib/
# rm -rf lib
# ln -s usr/lib lib
7. removing net install image and rebooting the computer
==> the system works again, but:
# pacman -Su
still produces error messages like:
error: failed to commit transaction (conflicting files)
glibc: /lib exists in filesystem
glibc: /usr/lib/ld-2.16.so exists in filesystem
glibc: /usr/lib/ld-linux.so.2 exists in filesystem
glibc: /usr/lib/libBrokenLocale-2.16.so exists in filesystem
glibc: /usr/lib/libBrokenLocale.so.1 exists in filesystem
Now at the last step I did is, what the wiki is seriosly discouraging from I use --force:
# pacman -f -Su
After that my system was repaired
I think using force at that point is OK, because the files will only be replaced which are already moved to the right location.If you use a custom-built kernel you should really package it up so you can easily avoid this sort of thing just by repackaging.

How can I customize the auto-generated WSDL when using a PL/SQL webservice?
My webservice returns a refcursor as an ArrayOfString. (I followed the sample code.) Instead of everything being returned in one large array, I need to create a correct record hierarchy, like <rec1><fld1></fld1></rec1>, etc.
As far as I know, this grouping has to be done in a WSDL file. However, following this sample, the WSDL is auto-generated and overwritten with each launch of the webservice.
Am I missing something, or are there other secrets/tips?
thanksVery Nice:) Thanks!
1. I added this to my HTM HEADER:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
function test_javaprompt () {
var Hours = prompt("How Many Hours?");
$x('P142_HOURS').value = Hours;
doSubmit()
</script>
2. I Created an Item:
P142_HOURS
3. I Created a Button:
TEST_JAVA
a. In the Button area for, Optional URL Redirect, I selected- Target is a URL
b. URL Target- javascript:test_javaprompt();
When I press the Button then it does Exactly what I want it to do.
Except....
Ultimately, I do not want this javascript assigned to the button.
I would like to run this javascript when the value of a DatePicker Item, (P142_DROPS_SUBMITTED) is changed.
If you can help me with that then I'll be forever grateful:)

Problems generating ear when using NonCatalogLogger
Can someone please help me? I am using Forte 4 and trying to build a bean that uses
the NonCatalogLogger function. It compiles just fine but when I attempt to generate
the ear containing the beans, I get the following error:

I have the weblogic.jar file mounted so I wouldn't expect that I should have problems
here but I also can't find that class within the jar. Tried everything except a
manual build. Can someone help?
DrewTwo possibilities from that information.
1] Is the D drive a partition on your hard disk or a network drive? RoboHelp projects must be run from your hard disk.
2] The more likely is that RH is not properly installed. When the previous author left, was RH uninstalled and reinstalled using your login? For X5 it must be installed using your login? Also you need local admin rights both to install and use it.
My guess is this is all to do with X5 not having been installed with your login and with you having local admin rights.
This will lead to another problem. X5 can no longer be activated. The solution to that is on my site. See Snippet 100.

MapViewer fails to display lines when use NavigationPanel
I am using MapViewer version 10131-B061023 (i.e. 10.1.3), and am attempting to plot state secondary roads (lines) for the state of Montana. These lines display in MapBuilder, and also display in MapViewer when the first 'zoomed in' map is displayed. That is, I can see the roads for the part of the state I am zoomed into, and when I pan around the state the roads also display, but when I use the NavigationPanel to zoom out, the roads disappear. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I failed to mention that the secondary routes were in a foi rather than a base map. When I added them to the base map and removed the foi they appeared when I zoomed out. Am I missing some basic difference between the base map and a foi?

"Enable Failed" Error Is Issued When Using a Workflow - OAM 10.1.4.3
Hello,
We've set up password management according to http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15217_01/doc.1014/e12489/idconfig.htm#CBDGGGHE and note 444094.1. We're trying to create a user through IdentityXML using the create user basic workflow we created, but that fails. So we tried to create a user in Identity Manager through the Create User Identity link. We receive: Initiate - Completed, Enable - Failed. We see http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12530_01/oam.1014/b32419/trblsht.htm#BABBAEAH statement about the searchbase, but it looks correct with our domain and anyone allowed. Anyone have any other ideas what could be wrong, or a way to troubleshoot this?
Thanks for your helpThanks for the pointer to the identity logs. I recreated the workflow and it seems to work now, I guess something was goofed up. Although, if I create a new user through the workflow, the new user is missing the oblixPersonPwdPolicy. When we set this up, there was a step to tie the oblixPersonPwdPolicy object class to the employee tab. Would you know why the class isn't being added?

I can read it back as long as I don't stop the app/emulator. When I run the emulator again the file is gone. I tried loading the app to my Windows Phone and the same thing still happens. -

Hi,
The information here didn't help much in resolving the issue, as Mr. Arnav Sharma suggested, could you please have a share with the full error messages?
What is the image capture command that you are using?
Do we followed any guides to capture the image? If yes, would you please have a share with that?
Besides, here are some articles for reference:

Wiki Editor fails with HTTP 501 when using certain tags
Hi together,
does anybody know where I can find a list of syntax elements which are not allowed in the SDN's Wiki editor (and also the Forum editor)? This is, what I found out:
<s c r i p t>
t y p e (as an attribute)
o n l o a d (as an attribute)
Apparently, those are prohibited to prevent XSS - if you try to save a Wiki page including a code snippet with the mentioned syntax elements, the session is ended with HTTP 501 ( Method not implemented'.
Thanks,

Edited by: Felix Hoefer on Jun 29, 2011 1:50 PMThanks for your reply. I did read the article and addressed that issue in the first part of my previous post. I don't think that the website where I am hosting my CRL has directory browsing permissions or that I have the ability to set them but the
point of my question was everything works using that same public website when I use a standard CA to create my certificate but does NOT work when I create the certificate using an Enterprise CA.
