Build-to-order options only available in online store?

Hello all,
Do guys know if the build-to-order options for the new MBP are available at the local Apple store as well? I would like to get a larger HDD, but rather not wait for shipping. Thanks a lot.

Funny you would ask that question. I stopped by my local Apple Store today and asked the same thing. The guy at the store told me I could not upgrade the hard drive at the store but rather would need to order it online.

You may also be able to access https://store.apple.com/ in Safari, log into your account, and review recent purchases (and cancel any that haven't shipped yet).

When you order a iPod from the online store what packaging does it come in?

When you order a iPod from the online store what packaging does it come in? Does the iPod box come in a box? A bag of some sort? Is there any extra protection? Because I've seen on TV the video of those sorting plants, and they treat those packages like there trying to break whats inside.

Hi! I just received my new 80gb iPod today and it came in an iPod box, and it's very secure in the package. I had no problems with the way Apple packages the iPods.
I'd hope if your ipod came broken Apple would either exchange or refund the item.

Download app only available in US store?

I really want to download an app (ultimate team card generator) but apparently it's only available in the US store (I'm in australia). How can I get this app??? I have tried changing store but I can't do it without using all my iTunes credit. Please help thank you

2.1 EA1: Wrap Selection menu option only available from PL/SQL Tabs

The "Wrap Selection" option on the Edit menu is only active on PL/SQL tabs. It appears to be something like a toggle for column select vs. normal select although it doesn't seem to be a true column mode for editing.
Column mode editing (copy, paste, and typing) sure would be handy at times especially when building out repetitive code.
There is a existing Developer Exchange feature request for a [Column Text Edit Mode|http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42626:39:243797404869620::NO::P39_ID:7421] just in case anyone wants to vote for this kind of feature.

Download issues, download trial option only available

Hi, I have purchased Adobe creative cloud but the only download option that remains for me when I try to download any of the applications is "download trial".
Can anyone assist?

The Apple store I bought mine from, had the base model and the middle model in stock. They didn't know if or when they would get the top one with the biggest memory and drive. The rep told me that where that one would run almost $4,000, there might not be much of a demand for it. I bought the middle model, because I didn't have it in my budget to go all in with the top model. I just kept checking with the closest store until they had one, and I went and bought mine. I am quite happy with it.

Install option not available in App Store for some apps

Why is the option to install not available for some apps? The app info shows up but the install button is not there.

The button should read either the price of the App, or Free if they are free. Alternatively if you have purchased/downloaded the App in the past but deleted it from the device, it should have a button with a cloud icon.
Pressing it will initate download and installation.
Is none of this the case?

Can't find App for an activity tracker is AUS store..only available on US store

I just bought a wireless tracker from the US.
I live in Australia.
The recommended app to use is from the US store but I only have an account in the Australian app store.
I tried to sync it via bluetooth but my iPhone can't find the device.
It doesn't mention anywhere on the product that it is only for use in the US.
Any suggestions on how I can access the app(or one that will work with the tracker) via an Australian App store?

Was trying to get Amazon App only available in US store. Switched stores and now can't get back to the Australian store. How do I get back?

I know this has featured before in discussions but none of the answers helped me. I followed a prompt to switch to the US App Store. Then tried to buy an app and got told to switch back to Australian store. Can't seem to get back to the Australian store.

thanks ..I wish the iPad had an easier way of deselecting a switch to another store. I was searching for a newspaper app and it advised me to switch stores, so I tapped into a switch. I wasn't able to download the app. as this store was restricting Australian access as it turned out. However, there was no request to switch back to where I came from and I got stuck in this store and couldn't take any updates to my apps until I found this way of getting back...grrrrrrrr...but thankyou for the info on how to reset your home country store.

ARD 3.8 - only available from App Store?

I purchased a serial number for ARD 3.6 from before the days of App Store, and through to 3.7.2 you could download the required software Apple Software Downloads (you still can) and then apply the serial number to the app.
I cannot find any way to do this for ARD 3.8.
I hope this does not mean I have to buy another copy of ARD.
Does anyone know if Apple have published any policy on this - I can find nothing in my limited searching of App Store and Developer fora that explains what scoop is.

To explain further - the aim was to avoid having to dig out the install disk from archive - as the App Store update mentioned in the article didn't work for me because I had installed a developer version of 3.8 temporarily and it had stopped working (presumably because 3.8 proper released). This resulted in no ARD at all. I was simply trying to avoid having to find the install disk in the archive of old CDs ...
But given up and gone found original disk ;(

Matte / Anti-glare option only with hi-res?

I remember reading in a few places that people have mentioned just paying an extra $50 for a matte display, but the online Apple store is only showing a matte option as an add-on to hi-res.
Is a matte option only available as an add-on to a hi-res MBP or can you get the matte option without hi-res?

Unlocked iPhone 4 from UK online store

I live in India & since iPhone 4 is not launched here, my cousin in UK ordered iPhone 4 from UK online store at 499 pounds for me. I have few queries to be resolved:-
1) Its supposed to work with any SIM, any carrier & any country - right?
2) Should I activate it in UK or in India & why?
3) Once activated with 1 SIM, it won't be locked to that particular SIM or carrier or country - right?
3) Every time I change the SIM card, do I need to activate again (re-activate)?

Provided you can find a network in India that will provide a micro sim a sim free phone from the UK should work fine, If not it is possible to modify a normal sim so it will work. Doing a search on the internet will probably bring up instructions.
You will need to wait until you get the sim before you can activate it so it's probably best to do it in India.
The phone is sim free and should not be locked to any sim, network or country.
Your last question I'm not sure about but I suspect you won't need to re-activate the phone.
Bear in mind that Iphone warranties are only valid in the country of origin.

2-4 week delay on iphone from online store

I ordered an iphone from the online store on Friday and my receipt states "Will ship in 2-4 weeks" Does anyone know why there is such a delay. Reports indicate that iphones are still available at regular apple stores.

I didn't like the looks of the line at the Apple Store on Friday so I went home and ordered online. In the morning I got the order confirmation and 2 to 3 weeks to ship.
I like that even less. So I went back to the Apple Store when they open on Saturday. The were more clerks then customers. I walk to the back of the store and said iPhone to lady behind the counter. she replied 4 or 8 GB. I said 8 and she gave me my iPhone.
I then went home and canceled the online order and proceeded to activate and download. So far my major problem is getting use to my large hands and the little screen. I find that I am forever using to much force. It is a learning thing to just barely touch it and then it work correctly.
