Business area not populated in Accounting Document

Business Area showing in Billing document, item detail tab but not populated in Accounting Document BSEG/GSBER.
We have upgraded 4.5b to ECC6.

Hi:
           This happens in instances if one invoice contains multiple business areas, then only blank space will appear in accounting document for business areas. If this is the case then invoice split should happen based on business area. Invoice split can be done through VOFM data transfer - billing document.
However if invoice contains only one Business Area then please check in IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Basic Function --> Account Assignment / costing --> Business Area Account Assignment....check  whether you have assigned the  Business Area to Sales Area to Rule "1".

    Platofrm: SAP R/3
    We created a new Divisions (06)  and  assigned them to the Material in Plant 155. A new business arae (PTIC)
    was also created and assigned to sales are 0020 00 06.
    Later we did couple of assignments (Enter Str>Assig>SD>) where we assigned business area to division - Plant - Sales Org
    and Dris Channel ) .
    Now to validate the changes I am posting a Sales order in sales area 0020 00 10 - to see whether the newly created business area is getting populated or not. Post sales order - delivery- goods issue and _accounting doc - in the accounting document
    I dont see the business arae PTIC. Old business area (PTI) is getting populated.
    I wanted to know whether Material is controlling the business area in accounting doc and where I am missing the link.
    Our aim is to see business area PTIC in final accounting document so that we are sure that the material - whom we assigned division -06 is giving business are ptic.
    Please assist and provide suggestions.

    Go to SPRO > Enterprise Controlling > Consolidation > Integration: Preparation for Consolidation > Preparation in the Sender System > Further Settings for Business Area Consolidations > Sales and Distribution
    And check the below settings:-
    - Assign Rules per Sales Area
    - Assign Business Area per Plant and Division
    - Assign Business Area per Sales Area

  • Business area not appearing in Accounting document of 543's materail doc

    Hello ,
    We have created new plant CN06 (and assigend to Company code CN06) by copying existing plant CN03 (assigned to Company code CN03). Business area CN06 was defined and assigned to plant CN06 and valuation area. When we do normal GR document business area appears in material document but when we are doing GR for sub contracting (posting key 81) with movement type 543 Business area doesnt appear in the material doc .
    In cancellation of Subcontracting material document for plant CN06(Movement type 544) Business area appears properly . We are unable to analyse the issue.
    We have checked field status through RM07CUFA program , there wn't be any mismatch.  Please required your help.

    please check the for the sales area have u assigned rule (2 or 1) or not in t-code OVF2.----- Rule assigned is -1
    please check business area is assigned to plant & division in t-code OVF0----correct assignment is there
    please check assignment of business area to sales area OVF1.--correct assignment is there .
    Still we are facing problem.

  • Business area not appearing in mateial document

    Hi,
    I have created a new plant. and have made all assignment.
    while doing  testing  by making PO and doing MIGO.
    Business area is not appearing in material document posting.
    ( more over in my existing plants at the time of MIGO no account assignment tab appears.but  for this new plant account assignment tab appears though i have not assigned any thing in account asignment in PO)

    Use T.code:OMJ7 and link plant and division to your business area.
    Active Business area in T.code: OBC4 , in material management segment in ur field status group.Also Consult with your FICO team.

  • Business area not populating in Vendor line at the time of MIRA

    Hi,
    At the time of MIRA the Business Area is not appearing in Vendor line items.
    Though the corresponding line items do have the Business area.
    even in case we have one business are for the entire document the Business Area is not coming.
    We are in ECC 6.0 but with classic ledger ( New GL not activated).
    But instead of background invoice verification if we do MIRO the same document is populating the
    corresponding Business Area in the vendor line item.
    Please help me to resolve the issue.

  • Business Area not visible to account with admin privileges

    Hello,
    I've encountered the following scenario on visiting a client site:
    A Business area has been created by the EUL owner account (IFL) and he has granted admin privileges to another account (BRIANB who has been granted the DBA role). However, when BRIANB logs onto DIscoverer Admin, the Business area in question is not visible. BRIANB is able to create a new business area in the EUL which includes folders that are part of the 'invisible' BA. BRIANB is not able to access the 'invisible' BA using Discoverer End User. I'd be very grateful if anyone out there has an explantion for this,

    Problem solved. My client inadvertently created an additional EUL when initially logging onto Disco Admin as BRIANB. Thereafter this was the default EUL. The errant EUL has now been deleted the required BA's are now in view,

  • Business Area is different on Accounting document

    All,
    The BA on GR/IR is different on accounting documents for material document (MIGO) and invoice (MIRO). Since the BA are different, I'm unable to clear GR/IR automatically. 
    I checked the GL substitution rules and there are no rules associated with the GR/IR GL.

    Thanks for your prompt response. We do want to keep BA as a criterion in automatic clearing. I have the following substitution rules
    1) Vendor ABC and
        plant 85 and
       vendor recon GL 123456
       substitute with BA 47
    2) vendor abc and XYZ
        plant 85 and
        GL 654321
      substitue with BA 43
    the plant and divistion determination config is set to BA 47
    The vendor on PO is ABC
    the plant and division on PO is - 85
    my FI entry is
    Dr - FG (BA 43)
    Cr - GR/IR ( 43)
    when I traced the substitution rule it's saying true to Rule 2 above
    why the rule is considering rule two as true when the condition is not fulfiling. 
    FI enty at invoice
    Dr - vendor recon (47) which is ture and the substitution is working
    Cr - GR/IR (47)
    How does the system derives the BA on FI documents. To me, it should carry the same BA through out all FI documents.

  • Business Area not populated for F110 but it works for FBZ2

    Hi all Gurus,
    I have marked my co code in OBY6 for Business Area Financial Statement.  In GL a/c, I also marked the FSG to be "Required" field.  For posting key field status, it set to "Optional"
    During F110 auto payment run, the Business Area field was blank and without any update.
    But if I perform the same for manual pymt posting via FBZ2,  Business Area is mandatory field.
    Please help to undertand the logic.

  • Business area not appearing against VAT entry in Accounting doc for Invoice

    We have configured Business areas,
    When we post an invoice with multiple line items and open the Accounting document for this invoice we find that Business area is visible against Freight Amount and the ,Sales  A/c but that no business area is appearing against the Vat payable amount in the accounting doc.
    Why so?
    what should we do so that system determines the business area against the VAT Account also.

    This could be due to two reasons
    1)  If one invoice contains multiple business areas, only blank space will appear in accounting document.  To avoid this, invoice split should happen based on business area.  Invoice split can be done through VOFM data transfer - billing document.
    2)  If a particular G/L Account is assigned in multiple Business Areas, this problem will come and you need to apply Substitution Exit RGGBS000

    Make sure the field Business area is not supressed in tx. OB14. for the GL account in line item 001.
    On the other hand, have a look to the note and kba below:

    We are generating PAYEXT IDoc's from F111.
    The Idocs are not populating the Business Partner number in the segment.

    1. Goto MDS load cockpit transaction and run the sync for that one customer... Check the log to see why the BP is not created
    2. Since you are saying the order was created without any issues, check the credit account on the sales order (header data or table VBAK) check if a BP is created for the credit account (in case credit acct is different to sold to)
    3. If sold to = credit account, check if your sd-fscm Badi is implemented correctly. Among other things this Badi copies credit info such as risk class from fscm onto the sales order. Check if this Badi is implemented correctly (I'm assuming u've already activated fscm credit management)
    4. Finally you may want to consider adding a line to OVA8 for blank risk category, for all credit control area and block the document for max doc value of -.01. This will prevent any sales orders from getting created when the proper credit info is not copied over from fscm (or if the credit data had not yet been maintained on the BP)

    Tax line item is automatically created in document.....i want business area to be pickep up for the same.
    We want substitution create for Business area updating ;- When Document has 4 line item at the time of TAX and TDS line item the Business area not update, MIRO Document also not update the Business area.

    Please kindly read the SAP note number 199886     Business area in tax line
    In the value-added tax line items, the field "Business area" is NEITHER
    automatically filled NOR can you enter a value manually.
    Postings to VAT accounts must be made WITHOUT business area. The reason
    for this is that the field "Business area" does NOT exist in the tax
    data. Therefore,the advance return for tax on sales/purchases can also
    only generate postings WITHOUT business area and these postings must
    correspond exactly to the original tax postings in your account
    assignments. Otherwise, the tax accounts would have steadily increasing
    business area balances.
    Unfortunately I must inform you that the business area is not available
    for substitution because it can cause inconsistences in AM,CO and MM
    modules.
    Substituting the B.A.field is a modification to the standard SAP
    system. To make the business area field substitutable you must have
    written an ABAP to update table GB01 for the GSBER field, this is
    all explained in SAP note 42615.

  • Business Area being Populated in F-02

    Hi Guru's,
    While trying to post a document using F-02, I require to have one line with a blank in Business Area field while the other line is input with a value in Business Area field.
    When simulating the document, the line which had a blank Business area is populated with the business area input on the second line.
    Is this the standard behavior or is there a work around so that one line can be posted with a blank Business Area? 
    Pls. note there are no substitutions activated.

    I am not able to understad your busness requirement.
    It seems that you have checked the Busines area Balance sheet in your settings.
    So when ever there is a BA in first linei item the system in herits this in the second line item. This is the standard behaviour.
    What do you wnat to do without a BA in the second line item? What is your business need?

  • Material document 4900000006 does not include an accounting document

    Hi guys
    I created normal sales order, delivery and and released it thr VF01.
    Then I created the RE document without order reference and PGR. But while checking the accounting documents in VL02N it gives the error as follows
    Material document 4900000006 does not include an accounting document
    Diagnosis
    The system cannot find an accounting document for the material document 4900000006.
    Possible reasons for this are:
    The goods movement has no relevance to accounting. Therefore, the system did not generate an accounting document for the material document.
    The material document is a document that was posted before Release 2.1. Such documents must be converted so that the system can find the relevant accounting document.
    The procedure for the subsequent calculation of value is not active in your system. For further information, refer to the documentation on the program for valuating goods movements: RM07MWBU.
    Procedure
    Choose Continue and then choose another function.
    Find out when the material document was created. If the document was created prior to the Release changeover, ask your system administrator to carry out the conversion of the documents. The individual steps required for document conversion are described in the Release Notes for Release 2.1B
