Business partner creation - Not in sync with customer numbers -

Hi All
I am trying to do the BP conversion in collections management.
The customer number range for account group ZXXX  is (80000 to 89999) and the external number range flag is not selected.
I have created created a number range Y2 through BUCF, with numbers from (80000 to 89999), I did not choose external flag, thinking it should be same as customer number range. I have created a BP group ZXXX and assigned this number range Y2.
Later when I did the BP conversion through MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT, I observed that the BPs are not in sync with the customer numbers.
So my question, should I have choosen external number range flag in BUCF, even though its not selected in the customer number range? Has this caused the issue?
Please help me understand this and rectify this issue.

Thank you so much for you response. 
As suggested, I have checked BP number range as external. Later when I ran MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT, I get the below messages
Grouping ZXXX has external number assignment, enter a number
Partner data processed with key PartnerGUID 4E1BD7375F080AE0E10080000A5B030E
Grouping ZXXX has external number assignment, enter a number
So is there any other setting which I might be missing?
Please advise.

    I have tried to find info about Business partner management with IDM to CRM/SRM...
    Customer would have two use cases.. Internal and External users...
    Internal use case is quite straight forward in IDM documentation.. I have two questions about this,,,

    2. Is after SU01 user is created - Linking to BP automatical when using Business Suite connector ?
    External use case. Customer would like to implement scenario, where BP is created either:
    1. on CRM/SRM and IDM user would be created... and after approving new IDM user SU01 user with roles would be created nd BP linking would happen...
    2. on IDM user is created - BP and SU01 user would be created on CRM side... and linking between them..
    On external use case I have understood- that first one is possible without stronger customization and ABAP programming?
    --- first one requires VDS and SPML ID store on IDM side
    And something to send Newly created BP from CRM to IDM with SPML
    or does IDM check regularry with SPML CRM for newly created BPs??
    Does anyone know how actually this is happening?
    And is there any special configuration needed on CRM side? or some transaction to run after BP creation?

    Hi,
    Check whether the BP roles have been defined in the system.
    Go to  Customizing:
    Cross-Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Define BP Roles
    Here you can define BP Roles and BP Categories.
    Make sure the appropriate category is assigned to the BP role that you are trying to create. For this select the BP role and click on the "details" button.

  • Business Partner creation for Customer Master creation

    Hi
    We have customized our system in order to trigger the creation of Business Partner whenever a Customer Master is created.
    I created some customers for which the Business Partner creation was not triggered due to some reason.. In order to manage the same, i created a Business Partner manually and tried to link the same to my customer through T Code FLBPD2, but system returned with a message "The business partner could not be linked to the customer selected"  Message Number CVIC_UI023.
    Can anyone suggest something.

  • Error R1201 "Business partner ### does not exist" with new contact person

    Hi,
    We have configured CVI masterdata synchronization for Customer<->BP and this is working well for customer masters without contact persons.
    However, when we try to add a contact person to an existing customer (or synchronize an existing Customer with contact persons) we get the error message R1201 "Business partner ### does not exist".
    I have checked the wiki.
    We are able to manually create a Person with role BUP001 (Contact Person) and link it to the BP with relationship cat TBUR001 (Is Contact Person For). Here the synchronization BP->Customer seems to be working, as the new contact person is successfully created in the Customer.
    Any ideas why we cannot synchronize Contact Persons, Customer->BP?

  • Business partner creation error

    Hi Gurus,
    1) We don't have pre-configured standard settings for FICAx (for ex standard contract categories, document types, number ranges, main and sub-transactions) in our system. Can anyone tell me how to load the pre-configured settings in SAP.
    2) In BP creation after entering all the BP fields, if I try to save the data it says the BP has been created but gives a dump. We were not able to find that BP when we try to look up. I am not sure if it is a configuration issue or is it due to improper loading of FI-CA.
    3) We have the same issue with contract account creation CAA1, CAA2, or CAA3. When we try to access transaction it gives dump.
    The current ABAP program "SAPLBUSS" had to be terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    The following syntax error occurred in program "SAPLFSP35 " in include
    "LFSP35TOP " in
    line 36:
    "Missing length check at runtime"
    The include has been created and last changed by:
    Created by: "SAP "
    Last changed by: "SAP "
    Error in the ABAP Application Program
    The current ABAP program "SAPLBUSS" had to be terminated because it has
    come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    Please advise and points will be awarded for all useful solutions.

    Issue i am facing is while creation of business partner, is the any field in customer master which govern the validity of Business Partner while creation.

  • FSCM-COL Business Partner Creation for Existing Customers

    Experts-
    After using MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT to create the initial load of Business Partners, there are a few Customers which are still missing Business Partners. Automatic Creation of Business Partners is set up and fully functioning for any new Customers created, however when attempting to use MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT for the existing Customers which are missing Business Partners the error message 'No transfer of interval for object BU_PARTNER' (Message no. NR028) is received.
    If the Automatic Creation of Business Partners is working correctly at the time of Customer Master creation, what would prevent the Business Partner from being created after the Customer already exists?
    Please let me know if further clarification is needed on what is outlined above.

    In case someone runs into a similar issue in the future, the resolution to this issue is provided below:
    In the case I've highlighted the customer had been created, yet the Business Partner failed to be created in the Automatic Business Partner Creation functionality initially due to a missed Tax Number Category configuration. Once this configuration was complete the BP still failed to create via XD02 or MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT. MDS_PPO2 gave the initial error message as 'Business partner ##1 does not exist' (Message no. R1201).
    Although the Customer to BP synchronization setting were set up for an external number range, the presence of contact persons in the Customer Master record were causing SAP to look for grouping data. Since no grouping data was present SAP was attempting to create BPs contact persons using the internal number range, which was already set at its limit.
    By removing the contact persons from the customer master via XD02 and then re-executing the MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT, the requested Business Partner was created. After that the contact persons were then re-maintained in the customer master.

  • Business Partner creation - Sales Area Data retrieves blank divisions

    During business partner creation, the sales area data assignment block will retrieve a list of all relevant sales organizations, distribution channels, and divisions that are replicated from ECC. This is working fine. However, it also adds to this list with the sales organizations, distribution channels, and blank divisions. Blank divisions do not exist in either ECC or CRM. It appears to be using the dummy division settings, but I have attempted to configure with the indicator "CRM Header Div. Active" as both active and inactive, to no effect. The only time I have been able to condense this list into a single line has been when I actually activated dummy divisions -- to which CRM would now retrieve only sales organizations, distribution channels, and blank divisions. This is not an ideal solution either.
    How do I get the system to remove the blank divisions from being displayed? It is very confusing to the users, not to mention polluting the screen.
    Example (both are being displayed, I only want the one with an actual value to be displayed):
    Sales Org = 1000, Dist Chan = 10, Division = blank
    Sales Org = 1000, Dist Chan = 10, Division = 10

  • Display Org Unit based on User logon in Business partner creation..

    I have to assign Sales Org , DIV, Distribution Channel to the Business Partner in Sales Area data.  When I try system shows entire Org structure. But I want the Org structure should be displayed based on the user log on. Assume that, I am assigned to Shangai and creating Business partner for Shangai, the system should not show Beijing or other Org Unit since I belong to Shangai.  How to address this scenario thro standard customization?
    Is it common problem in CRM Webui(6.0 and 7.0).
    My Org Structure:
    Global
      China
         Shangai
         Beijing
       Nanjing.

    Hi Varma,
    From my understanding of your problem, you can approach it in a different manner. Since, you mentioned that you will be receiving a delimited flat file around 5 to 6 times a day, you can probably consider coming up with a Report Program. This Report will consume the flat file, generate the necessary organizations, business partners, BP relationships and then create them and finish with the logging of all the messages ( Success, Error, Warnings, etc.)
    You can now schedule this report execution in a Batch Processing Job which will be executed as per the scheduled time and at the end of the day you can see all the application log files.
    This is just an approach and you can modify the report in your own way. I guess that the flat file will be located somewhere in the same place daily so that you can hard code the File Name and Path in the report.
    Regarding the Organization and Business Partner creation, you can use the standard SAP delivered BAPI's which will return you all the errors properly.

  • Business Partner Cockpit not viewable

    Hi,
    I am getting error in transaction CRMD_ORDER when we proceed in the
    following steps:
    1) Login to CRM server
    2) Go to transaction CRMD_ORDER
    3) Find -- > Select --> Lead
    4) Click on START --> Click on only 100 docs
    5) Select Number 7
    6) Click on Business Partner Cockpit
    Error pops up with 'page cannot viewed', as you do not have any
    authorization to view. The error remains the same even if the user
    has SAP_ALL.
    Any one has worked on Business Partner Cockpit ?

    It basically contains information BPs , links to the transactions and fact sheet( about the business partners that can be customized according to the relevance to particular user).

  • Err while confrm  Business partner  does not exist (Notification E R1 201)

    I am for the first time into CRM serv implementation.I have 2 issues. Please provide your valuable suggestions at the earliest.
    I raised a serv order, released items, confirmed it and changed the status to complete. now when i try to raise an invoice, in billing due list, serv order num is showin up but not confirmation number. Billing relevance in item category for
    service item in Serv order ---> Order related billing acc to order quantity
    confirmation item category--> Transaction related billing after completion.
    The reason i expect is that i have used a crm employee as employee responsible as HR is not yet in place. At the time of confirmation and data transfer to r/3 system is throwing a message that BP doesnot exist. Long text is as follows
    "Business partner  does not exist (Notification E R1 201)"
    I am unable to trace out which BP is it unable to find. The Sold to i am using is on the other hand available in R/3.
    1) Is service confirmation incomplete and hence is not appearing in Billing due list or is there any other reason?
    2) How can i analyse which BP number is not avilable. i.e.. how can i check the contents of bdoc system is sending and because of which value of BP is the transfer getting stopped

    Server ID with user details and client YYY.

    Go to change mode and select ‘Create Model view’.
    You get a popup. Fill in the details – Technical name, short text and validity

    3 – The number is transferred from HR and a prefix is added. In this case, a specific external interval, which must be defined as XX00000000 (upto
    XX99999999), is used (where XX denotes any two letters).
    The number range object for all switch positions is BU_PARTNER, with the interval depending on the switch value.
    For switch value 1, the system uses the internal standard interval, otherwise for switch values 2 and 3 you must also create a grouping (transaction BUC2) for these intervals. For the system to be able to connect the grouping and the number range interval, the name of the grouping must be exactly the same as the name of the corresponding number range interval (the name of the grouping is contained in the first column of the table). If you select 3 (HRALX/PNUMB = 3) for the number assignment of busienss partners of the employee role, create HRALX/PSUBG switch manually in table T77S0.
    In table T77S0, HRALX/ONUMB is used to set the number assignment for organizational units and HRALX/PNUMB is used to set the number assignment for employees.
    Create a number range ZZ
    Transaction code BUC2. Create a grouping of the same ID as that of the number range. Eg. Number range ID : ZZ and grouping ID should also be ZZ
    In table T77S0, maintain the following combinations

    Object type : P – Person (always)
    Object ID : Employee ID eg. 1

    13. In CRM, transaction code PP01 – View HR Master objects
    You see that the employee 1 has got transferred. To see the corresponding business partner go to the infotype Relationships (the first row)
    Screen 2 gives you the business partner ID in CRM

    In Business partner creation/Change screen(Tcode BP),if pressing BACK or CANCEL button without saving data, it will ask for confirmation that Want to save data or not.If we press YES it will save the data,or if we press  NO it won't. Is there any Enhancement spot (User exit or BADi) available after triggering the above confirmation message.If so kindly intimate me the Exit name or BADi name.

  • Synchronization from vendor to business partner is not active?

    Hi there
    I am busy performing data migration of business partners and vendor accounts and have hit an issue on the last step of linking the uploaded BP to the uploaded Vendor.
    On execution of the transaction FLBPC2 (Link Vendor to Business Partner), it issues the error "CVIV_UI015 Synchronization from vendor to business partner is not active" which I believe is a product error because:
    1. I have configured BP to a new internal number range (and all other config requirements)
    2. I have configured a new Vendor account group with an external number range which is a duplicate of 1. above
    3. I have enabled BP to Vendor synchronisation in "Master Data Synchronisation" (from BP to VENDOR).
    I have tested my configuration successfully by creating a business partner via transaction BP and extending him to a vendor in a company code perfectly (works like a charm).
    My data migration process includes:
    - Creating a business partner using BAPI BUSISB990/FSCREATEFROMDATA.
    - Creating a vendor using the external number given above using a recording of FK01.
    - Linking the two using a recording of transaction FLBPC2 (Link Vendor to Business Partner).
    I am not trying to synchonise a business partner from vendor, but to synchronise the vendor via the business partner (which works using transaction BP) when the issue is received.
    Any ideas as to why I cannot do the operation manually which works via automation and why the error is not appriate?

    Good morning,
    I had a similar problem and solved by disabling
    the integration of the PI / XI of the PPO.
    To make sure that the PPO is working properly.
    You can check this setting by BUPA_CALL_FU transaction.
    Checks if the items are BUPA_OUTBOUND_MAIN and BUPA_OUTBOUND_REL
    integration of the disabled for PI / XI, according to the objects you need to be replicated.
    If they are uncheck them and rerun your tests.
    Use MDS_PPO2 the transaction log to check the copy of BP
    to the Vendor.

    We have a error in the  BUPA_MAIN Bdoc for only one customer that "Business partner is not a person". What could be reason for this? How this can be rectified?

    Hello Varun,
    If you want to have as contact Person for relationship XXXX as well organization , that could be an issue. Because in standard it is only forseen that  Persons can be assigned as Contact Persons. There for you have to create a Z-Relationship type.
    A Group can have a Contact PERSON, but no Contact ORGANIZATION. As stated in standard it is not possible to have an Organization as Contact Person.

  • BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE: Business partner does not exist

    Hello,
    I'm trying to change a business partner, which I created with BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA.
    But I get the error message "Business partner does not exist"
    I do following:
    1. create the BP with the BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA
         get the BUSINESSPATNER- number
    2. fire BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT.
    In the SAP-GUI transaction BUP3 I can see my BP, ok
    3. I try to change this BP with BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE
         and I get an error "Business partner does not exist"
    Why?
    I'm using JCO, I used to set BUSINESSPARTNER with and without leading zero - it doesn't work.
    Can some one give me an advice?

    Hi,
    The "VALID_DATE" should be set to the date of execution (at least this is what I'm doing in my system).
    If you execute it via SE37 you can give it in the format of DDMMYYYY, but if you are testing an IDOC via WE19 you have to give it in the format of YYYYMMDD.
