BW 3.5 and BW 7.1 inquiry

Hi Experts,
We would be implementing both B! 7.0 and BW 3.5. For the BW 3.5, this is so that we would be able to directly upload the flatfiles in the infocube as this is already not possible for B! 7.0. However, would just like to ask the pros and cons with regards this? Would you think that this is the best setup should we be needing the requirement specified?
Really hoping for your reply and THank you very much in advance.
SIncerely, Ria

  • Gross weight and net weight not getting copied from Inquiry to quotation

    Hai Gurus
Could anyone tell me why gross weight & net weight for the particular quantity of goods are not getting copied to quotation and order from an inquiry. All other details that I maintain in an inquiry (shipping type, receiving point etc) are getting copied  to quotation.
    regards

    Dear
Did you maintain in MM02-MMR-Sales/Plant  view Gross weight and Net wirght ??
System calculates the net weight based on the order quantity for the item and the net weight proposed from the material master record. If the item has more than one schedule line, the system uses the total order quantity of all schedule lines to calculate the net weight. In sales documents where schedule lines are not allowed (contracts, for example), the system calculates the net weight using the target quantity.

  • What I want from BT, and what they've done wrong (...

I've recently come back to BT from different phone and broadband providers because I wanted BT Infinity. My experience so far has been pretty bad. I'll explain later, but firstly here's what I want from BT.
Most importantly I want a 24 hour helpdesk, based in the UK staffed by technically trained people who can actually do something about my problem or at least give the correct details if it is a general outage.
I want control over my internet connection. I want to be able to see the line stats and status of my modem (you can't with BT Infinity) and I want to be able alter my speed profile and the parameters of my line to suit my own tolerance for speed vs. reliability.
Ideally I want to ring up and talk to a real person in the UK about anything unless it's really trivial and easily automated (balance inquiry, paying a bill etc.).
When I have reported a fault or am having problems with the ordering process I want to be able to get through to the team dealing with my problem easily rather than via the torturous calling menu and a different department each time.
I want communications from BT to make sense and be consistent. This includes emails, the call menu and any recorded messages.
I want the recorded status message updated more frequently.
Here are my experiences since ordering my BT service in November:
I tried to order Infinity (and phone line transfer)) four times. I had to do this over the phone as the website wouldn't work. Each time I was told I could have infinity and each time I got a very impersonal email telling me I couldn't. I think because I had Broadband and phone from different suppliers and the system couldn't handle taking over the line and ordering Infinity at the same time. Eventually I successfully ordered it but only because BT insisted I have a new line put in (presumably to get around the problem in their ordering process.
I got Infinity installed OK and all was working fine but now no longer had my phone number. Then I had a farce where my previous provider, TalkTalk, kept failing to cancel my old line so I couldn't get the number back. I was never sure why BT couldn't just take the line back as I thought there was a process for this.
During this process I spoke with BT India a couple of times to explain they could go ahead (thinking that TalkTalk had released the line). They were very polite and everything seemed to be proceeding until I got an email telling me I was indeed getting a new number, but not my old one just some random one and I was going to be charged £25 for the pleasure.
Cutting a long story short I got my old number back on January 2nd having been without it since November 15th. Thanks to Margret @ BT who was genuinely helpful.
My BT infinity speed is a vast improvement over my own line, however at 23Mb it's nowhere near the max (I'm quite close to the box) and it drops much lower during peak hours (it varies but it's been mostly around 6-14Mb).
Just recently the service has failed twice. The first time I called the "help" desk and was put through to an Indian call centrel. It was about 1am on a weekday (I'm a night owl) and the chap told me that the Infinity helpdesk was closed (WTF, are we only allowed to have faults during the day?). He then went away and told me that there was a problem in my area. I checked online via my phone and none was mentioned, some time later a problem did appear online in the Londond area but still nothing about my area (Chelmsford, Essex). I still have no idea what the problem was.
Then it went down again last night (Sunday) again late in the evening (12.30am), this time I got put throught to a recorded message that told me the helpdesk was closed, not even an Indian call centre to talk to and then it promptly hung up on me.
The first time it went down my wife was without broadband (which I'm paying for) all day. I got home and reset the router and it came to life. I'm not sure if the broadband was down or the router just needed resetting. This was particularly annoying as there seems to be no way of knowing when it is back without resetting the router every 10 minutes until it works. Especially outside of hours as there is NO HELP AVAILABLE.
Yesterday I called the status line and was given the hilarious message, which was roughly "There are currently no problems with the BT network. There are problems with the BT network in the Birmingham area. If you want further information please go to www.bt.com/...". Firstly is there or isn't there a problem, and how the **bleep** can I go to "www.bt.com/..." when my internet is down.
Basically if it's outside BT's convenience then I can't get any problem addressed. Totally useless, totally unacceptable, the Internet does not shut in the evening BT!!!
Another amusing one was trying to get caller ID back on my line. Again the website didn't work so I ended up calling. I eventually got throught to a message that said "Press 1 to order a free service, Press 2 to order a premium service, Press 3 to order a special service" (or something like that). How the **bleep** do I know which category caller ID fits into?
The whole experience has been frustrating which is a shame because I  want BT to succeed, I want them to supply me with a great service and I'd be happy to pay (even more) for that. As the saying goes, you measure how good a company is by what they do when things go wrong...
It's obvious that BT have some good staff, everyone has been polite and on the surface seemed helpful and when you finally do get to someone is a position to help things eventually get sorted (thanks Margret).
Why is it that communication companies are the absolute worst at communicating?
    Anyone agree, have similar experiences?
    Rant Over!

    * R12 will be part of Release Update (RUP) 12.0.4
Oracle will de-support the Live Checkwriter and Deposit Advice for US
and Canada beginning with 2007 EOY Phase 1. Archive Checkwriter and
Deposit Advice will continue to be supported. What this means is that
new code changes and bug fixes will not be tested on the Live
Checkwriter and Deposit Advice. Additionally, enhancements made to the
Archive version will NOT be made for the Live version.
    Desupport of Standard Tax Interface
Oracle no longer supports the Standard Tax interface. Taxes will
continue to be calculated and tax rate changes from the Vertex Data
Updates will continue. New code changes and bug fixes will not be tested
on the Standard Interface and we cannot guarantee that all functionality
will continue to work. Additionally, enhancements made to taxes will NOT
be made for the Standard Tax Interface. We strongly recommend that you
upgrade immediately to the Enhanced Tax interface.

  • Problem in creating Inquiry

    Hello Experts,
i am facing problem in creating inquiry. Using transaction va11 i am creating inquiry.
inquiry type i selected ZGIN. when i create inquiry its asking me for sales order no
whether we need to give sales order no while creating inquiry.
    Thanks in adavnce.
    Sai

    Hi Sainath,
For creating an Inquiry giving Inquiry document type is mandatory. In the T.code VA11 you have to enter the details lik Inquiry doc type, Sales Org, Distribution Channel and Division to create an Inquiry.
Normally the business cycle will be like this      Inquiry->Quatation>Sales Order>Delivery---->Billing
So we can create a Sales order with or without refering to any existing Inquiry or Qutation. Where as Inquiry is concerned we need not to give any reference of an existing order.
Try creating an Inquiry w/o giving any order reference using the transaction VA11. If it is allowing to create,it is fine. Otherewise in VOV8, in the Inquiry document type control data, remove the settings "Reference mandatory" and try creating the Inquiry.
    Regards,

  • Unable to create sales Order/Inquiry object using SAP JCo

    Hi All,
    Pls can you help me.
I am using BAPI_INQUIRY_CREATEFROMDATA2 and BAPI_Trancation_commit to create Inquiry object. From my Client JCo code there is no error.I debugged the BAPI_Trasaction_commit, there is no error,  return code is 0.  But th system is not creating Inquiry object. When I try the same from SAP GUI client with exactly the same input parameters it works.
Do I need to set any option/value to commit the Inquiry to the SAP database? How to maintain the same session between the different BAPI's. Is there any issue with Session maintainance? I would appreciate if you can provide me any sample SAP JCo code for creating a Sales Order/Inquiry.
    Thanks
    mars

Can you put the part of your code that fill the ORDER_PARTNERS table, also you could compare your coding with [Sales order creation using BAPI|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/SalesordercreationusingBAPI] in [Community Code Gallery |http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/CommunityCodeGallery] (don't forget that there is a conversion exit on the partner role, so use internal codes "AG" and "WE")
    Regards,
    Raymond

  • Receivables Items and Description Fields

    Hi,
We are working in Oracle Applications 11i and I have an inquiry in the Receivabkes module.
From Transactions->Transactions Lines form (Form Name : ARXTWMAI) we have the info of item, description, etc.
As we are using another system to enter direct selling info/invoices, we are not using oracle order management module, and we have no setup regarding the items in oracle receivables module.
So, my question is: can we create a LOV for the two fields ITEM and DESCRIPTION? what are the possible solutions?
    Thank you..

Not sure exactly what you are asking..but
    A. Item field is not mandatory...so you can leave it blank..if you have no use for it
    B. Description field is mandatory....you can enter any free text.....OR pull up LOV ...which will list standard memo line you've setup in AR and select one of the memo lines.
    Regards,
    James Kim.

  • Reference order with inquiry through copy control

    Hi SD gurus,
We are currently having automatic order creation and then the open inquiry are required to be linked manually to newly created sales order via u2018create with referenceu2019 option inside the order menu.
We want to achieve this  below functionalities via copy control (VTAA) for this requirement:
    1. Enable creation with reference to an inquiry in change mode of a sales order without repeating the item from inquiry. Only consumption from inquiry.
    2.  Enable this with different sold-to .
         Sales order----
    Inquiry
Sold to 1  not equal toSold to 2
Point 2 can be achieved through copying requirement routine 002 at header level but then there is no success for point 1. Both things should work together.
If you have any idea then please suggest.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Dheeraj Tolani

What do you mean by position type?
Please use the language used by SAP so that it could be easily understood.
What is ZTAB & IRSS. Are they materials?
Regarding copying, this is a brief theory
In copy control, you define control data for the document flow of sales documents.
You can specify for a particular sales document type, which document type is to be assigned to copied reference documents, and which item categories or schedule line categories are to be copied.
You must also make specifications for copying requirements and data transfer, as well as quantity and value updates in document flow.
In precise, you are telling the system what data to copy from QT to sales order. It copies data from Quotation order type to Standard order type basing on settings you indicated in copying control.
System won't do anything more than copying from preceding documents and it would transfer data based on copying rules in copy control.

  • Any questions on Order Management Header and Item level?

    Hi,
If you are interviewing somebody...And the position he wants is SD consultant.
What kind of questions will you raise on OM header level and item level??
    Order management--Questions on Header level
                                  Questions on item level
Thanks, would be better if you could also attach the answer.
    Thanks!!

    Dear Hoo,
    ORDER MANAGEMENT & SALES
1.Briefly describe the types and structure of the sales document and give examples of data
that you find on the different levels.
Sales*related business transactions are recorded in the system as sales documents. There are, broadly
speaking, four different groupings of sales documents:
Sales queries, such as inquiries and quotations
    Sales orders
Outline agreements, such as contracts and scheduling agreements
Customer problems and complaints, such as free of charge deliveries and credit memo requests.
    Header Data
The general data that is valid for the entire document is recorded in the document header. This data
    includes the:
    number of the sold*to party
number of the ship*to party and the payer
    document currency and exchange rate
pricing elements for the entire document
    delivery date and shipping point
    Item Data
Whereas data in the document header applies to all items in the document, some data applies only to
specific items. This data is stored at item level and includes the:
    material number
    target quantity for outline agreements
number of the shipto party and the payer (an alternative shipto party or payer can be defined for a
    particular item)
    plant and storage location specifications
pricing elements for the individual items
    Schedule Line Data
An item consists of one or more schedule lines. The schedule line contains all the data that is needed
for a delivery. For example, a customer orders 20 pieces of a material and you enter this as an item in
the sales order. However, you can only deliver 10 pieces now and the remaining 10 pieces next month.
In other words, you need to schedule two deliveries. The data for these deliveries (dates, confirmed
quantities) are stored in two separate schedule lines. In sales documents where delivery data is not
relevant *for example: contracts, credit and debit memo requests * the system does not create any
    schedule lines.
Data recorded in the schedule lines includes the:
    schedule line quantity
    delivery date
    confirmed quantity
2.What is the difference between an inquiry and quotation ?
. Inquiry: Request made to a vendor for a quotation for required materials or services.
No availability check is done for inquiry.
. Quotation: Offer from a vendor to a purchasing organization regarding the supply of materials
or performance of services subject to predefined terms and conditions.
A quotation consists of a number of items, in which the total quantity and delivery date of an
offered material or service are specified.
The total quantity can be subdivided into several partial quantities with different delivery dates in the
    lines of a delivery schedule.
3.Do you always have to have a material master record number when you enter an item on a
sales document (inquiry and quote)? If not what would you have to use to be able to enter
    information at item level?
No. Customer Material Information or Material Description.
4.If a customer doesn't place an order with you after you have sent him a quotation, what happens to
    the quotation document?
Remains active till the end of validity period.
5.Can you have alternative items in a sales order?
    Yes.
6.If you reference an inquiry when creating a quotation ,would the inquiry be updated?
    Yes.
7.Can you copy one inquiry to many quotations ?
    No.
8.Can you copy several previous documents into one sales order?
    Yes.
9.Do you always have to copy the entire quantities at item level when you reference a
    previous document?
    No.
10.Can you make sure that business data in a sales order is only possible to maintain at header
    level?
    Yes.
11.From where is the delivering plant transferred into the sales order?
    Customer Master, Material Master.
12.Which partner function is relevant for the delivering plant? The soldtoparty ,
billtoparty, payer, carrier or the ship* to* party?
    Ship*to party.
13.Can you manually change the delivering plant in the sales order once it was defaulted from
    the master data?
    Yes.
14.For what or why do you use the incompletion log?
To have a complete document so that it doesnu2019t affect subsequent processes.
15.Can you have different incompletion logs for different item categories? Schedule line
    categories?
    Yes.
16.If a document is incomplete can you still save the document?
    Yes.
17.Which reference status can a document have at item level? Which statuses at header level?
    Item level: Partial, Full.
    Header level: Full.
18.What's the advantage of using text as a reference instead of duplicating it?
    Can be modified if needed.
19.What three sources provide data for the creation of a sales document?
Material Master, Customer Master, Previous referenced documents.
20.Can you change addresses of partners manually in the sales document?
    Yes.
21.Name several input tools that make order entry faster and give a definition of them?
Customer Material Information, Product Proposal , Referencing Documents.
22.In which business environment would you use only the single*line entry screen to create
    and save the order?
    Telephone Sales, Simple Business.
23.If you do not specify the delivering plant in the sales order, what could the system then not
    do?
    Delivery Scheduling.
24.For what would you use the fast change function in sales entry?
Alternate Plants, Delivery or Billing Blocks
25.Name two ways to control that customers can receive only certain materials?
    Material Listing, Exclusion.
26.What does the item category control?
    General Data
. Should pricing be carried out for the item?
. When should an item be regarded as completed? A quotation item, for example, can only be
regarded as completed if the entire quantity has been copied into a sales order.
. Is it an item that refers to a material or is it a text item?
. Are schedule lines allowed for the item?
. May general business data, for example, the terms of payment at the item level, deviate from
    those at the header level?
. Should a system message appear if the item cannot be fully delivered?
. Which fields are relevant for the incompletion log?
. Which partner functions are allowed at the item level and which are mandatory?
. Which output (for example, an order confirmation) is allowed for the business transaction and
which output determination procedure is used?
    Shipping Data
. Is an item relevant for delivery?
. Should the weight and the volume of an item be determined?
    Billing Data
. Is an item relevant for billing?
. Should the cost of the item be determined?
. Is it a statistical item? Pricing is carried out for statistical items. However, they are not added
to the value of the order, that is, the customer is not charged for them.
. Should a billing block be set automatically for an item? For example, this may be important for
items whose prices have to be clarified before billing
. Is it a returns item?
. Name the influencing factors for determining the item category in the sales document?
. Sales Document type, Item Category Group, Higher Level Item, Item Usage.
. Name the influencing factors for determining the scehdule line category in the sales document?
    . Item Category, MRP Type.
. What does the sales document type control?
    General Data
. Can the document be entered only with reference to a preceding document?
    . Should the existing customer
. material info record be taken into consideration?
. Should the delivery date be proposed?
. Must a customer number be entered when creating a document? For example, product
proposals can be entered without reference to a particular customer.
. Which order probability is defined?
. Should the division be taken from the material master record for every item or should an
alternative division specified in the header take precedence over the item specifications?
. How should the system respond if the division entered in the header deviates from the division
    in the items?
. Should a credit limit check be made?
. From which number range should the document number for internal or external number
    assignment come?
. Which fields are relevant for the incompletion log? The validity period, for example, is
important for contracts and must therefore be specified in the document.
. Can an incomplete document be saved or must all data be complete?
. Which partner functions are allowed and which ones are mandatory?
    Shipping Data
. Which delivery type should the delivery resulting from the order have?
. Should delivery scheduling be carried out?
. Should transportation scheduling be carried out?
. Should a delivery block be set automatically for a specific reason? For example, a delivery
block may be appropriate for a freeofcharge delivery.
. You can define shipping conditions for a sales document type. These are copied into the
document regardless of what is defined in the customer master record.
    Billing Data
-->Which billing type should the invoice resulting from the order or the delivery have?
Should a billing block be set automatically for a specific reason? For example, a billing block may be
appropriate if a credit memo request should first be checked before it is used as the basis for a credit
    memo.
-->Can the sales document type be determined by the system?
    No.
-->In R/3, can you automatically substitute one product for another? How? What would you
    have to create?
Yes. Product Selection / Material Determination.
-->Give a definition of replenishment lead time?
Total time for the inhouse production or for the external procurement of a product. In inhouse
production the replenishment lead time is determined to cover all BOM levels.
What's the difference between checking availability with or without replenishment lead time (RLT)?
With RLT : Availability check is done only upto end of RLT. If material is not available the date on
which RLT ends is displayed as Material Availability Date.
Without RLT : Availability check is unrestricted. Displays Delivery Dates as on which partial deliveries
can be made with available stock.
-->Name at least three item categories?
Standard Items : AFN, AGN, TAN.
Free of charge Items: AFNN, AGNN, TANN.
Non*stock Items : AFX, AGX, TAX.
Text Items : AFTX, AGTX, TATX.
-->Why would you use different item and schedule line categories?
Item categories are defined to provide additional control functions for the sales documents and thus
meet the demands resulting from the different business transactions.
The items in a sales document are divided into one or more schedule lines. These schedule lines differ
from each other with respect to date and quantity. For some schedule lines, material requirements
planning is not carried out; for other schedule lines, it is carried out. Also goods receipt, not goods
issue, is posted for a schedule line defined in a returns document.
-->Can you change existing standard item categories?
    Yes.
-->Can you create new sales order types?
    Yes.
-->Different dates will be calculated in order entry scheduling . Can you name the lead time
variables that will be taken into account?
Transportation lead time, Pick/pack time, Loading time, Transit time .
If you run out of stock in a specific plant can you check if there are quantities available in other plants?
    Yes.
-->When you carry out availability check, which quantities or movements can the system take
    into consideration?
The following elements can be included in the availability check:
Stocks : safety stock, stock in transfer, stock in quality inspection, blocked stock.
Inward and outward movements : purchase orders, purchase requisitions, planned orders, production
orders, reservations, dependent reservations, dependent requirements, sales requirements, delivery
    requirements.
-->Give some examples of sales document types (description, not necessary the short code)
that already set up in the standard system?
Indicator used to control the processing of the various sales documents which are defined in the
system. E.g., OR, SO, BV, KR. Document types allow the system to process different kinds of business
transactions, such as standard orders and credit memo requests, in different ways.
-->Can you maintain texts for a specific customer and store them in the system? If yes, where?
    Yes. Customer Material Information.
-->When the system checks availability which scheduling would it use first?
    Backward Scheduling.
-->Name the influencing factors for the determination of the availability date?
The following data is required for determining this date:
Route from the shipping point to the ship*to party location
Shipping point from which the goods are issued
Loading group from the material master record
Weight group determined from the order using the order quantity.
-->Name the three delivery possibilities when there is not enough stock available?
One Time Delivery, Complete Delivery, Partial Deliveries.
-->Can you think of an example why you would have to create a text for a customer and copy it
    to the sales order?
    Customer specific instructions.
-->What is the function of item category group?
The item category group determines how a material is processed in the sales order. It defines, for
example, that pricing does not take place for a free of charge item, such as a business gift; or that
inventory management is not carried out for a service. When processing sales and distribution
documents, the system uses the item category group to determine the item category. The system
determines the item category based on the item category group of the material and the current
business transaction, and proposes it in the respective document.
When creating the material types non*stock material and services, DIEN is proposed in both cases for
the item category group, because the order processing for both material types is identical: for
example, pricing is carried out for both, but no availability check.
-->On sales order, when the system confirms 20 pieces to be available at a certain date, would
these 20 pieces still be available for other new sales order coming in later?
    No.
-->What is a delivery group and why would you use it?
The complete delivery and delivery group functions enable you to combine some or all of the items in a
sales order so that they are delivered to the customer together. The system determines automatically
the latest delivery date possible for the delivery group and adjusts the schedule lines accordingly.
Corresponding requirements for material requirements planning (MRP) are changed or re*determined.
    -->What is backorder processing?
The backorder processing functions enable you to list relevant sales documents for specific materials
and process them from the point of view of availability. You can assign available to promise (ATP)
stock to outstanding order quantities. In addition, you can withdraw already confirmed quantities and
    reassign them to different items.
Backorder processing is only available for materials with individual requirements.
-->Can you link items in a sales order? If yes, when would you do that?
    Yes. Promotional Items.
-->For what would you use BOMu2019S in sales? What two methods of BOM processing do you have
in sales order entry? How can you control if the system should/should not explode a BOM in
    the sales order.
A bill of material (BOM) describes the different components that together create a product. A BOM for
a bicycle, for example, consists of all the parts that make up the bicycle: the frame, the saddle,
wheels, and so on. When you enter the material number of a bill of materials that is relevant for sales
order processing, the system displays the material that describes the whole bill of materials as a main
item. The components are displayed as sub*items.
Processing by Main Item : ERLA & Processing by Sub*Item : LUMF
BOM explosion can be prevented by specifying Item Category Group as NORM.
Credit limit checks is an example of a very close link between which two SAP modules?
    SD & FI.
-->What are the two techniques in delivery scheduling?
    Backward Scheduling & Forward Scheduling.
-->How does a third party deal work? Do you use a special sales order type for that? How could
the system know that you want to process a third party deal?
By specifying item category as TAS using double*line entry in the sales order.
No special order type is available.
By the item category group and/or material type in Material Master .
Name the several steps in consignment processing.
Consignment fillup, Consignment issue, Consignment pickup, Consignment return.
Whatu2019s the difference between consignment pick*up and consignment return?
In consignment pick*up, customer returns consignment stock. When goods issue is posted, the
relevant quantity is deducted from the customer's special stock and is added back to regular stock at
the plant where the goods are returned. Total valuated stock remains the same since the returned
stock was regarded as part of inventory even while it was at the customer's premises. This transaction
    is not relevant for billing.
In consignment return, customer wishes to claim on consignment goods which have already been
issued. When goods issue is posted, the relevant quantity is added to the customer's special stock at
the plant where the goods are returned. Since the ownership of the goods is passed from the customer
back to the company, the transaction is relevant for billing. In this case, the customer receives a credit
    memo for the returned goods.
-->Can you control that an end user cannot copy a quote of customer A to a sales order for
    customer B? If yes, where?
Yes. By customizing Copying Control for header data.
Give some example for data that is copied from the customer (soldto, payer, shipto) to the sales
order as well as for data that is copied from the material?
General data, payment terms, shipping details, delivery agreements, delivering plant.
    -->What is returnable packaging processing?
Returnable packaging consists of materials that are stored at the customer location but which remain
the property of the company. The customer is only required to pay for the returnable packaging if he
does not return it by a specified time.
Name the two outline agreements in R/3 standard and explain the difference between them.
Agreements are arrangements between business partners regarding the granting of conditions over a
specified time period. The agreement contains conditions which apply over a particular time period and
which are settled together at the same points in time. An agreement can be settled once or
periodically. The two outline agreements include Contracts and Scheduling Agreements.
Unlike a contract * which only contains an overall target quantity or value * a scheduling agreement
also contains specific order quantities and delivery dates.
-->How many documents do you create when you release, deliver and invoice the first order
    from a contract?
Three : Sales order, Delivery note, Invoice.
-->What types of output can you have in sales?
    Printer, Telex, Fax, Mail, EDI.
-->Can you automate output processing ? Do you always have to specify it manually?
    yes. No.
-->Where would you specify which data should be copied (at header, item and schedule line
level)when you copy from one document to another one?
    Customizing Copy Control.
I hope it will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Copy functionality of Sales office and sales group

Standard SAP does not allow sales office and sales group information to flow between documents. Say, quotation to order.
I'm not able to understand the reason for this, can someone explain please

    Hi ,
The reason for not coping the sales group and sale office from preceding document to subsequent is to avoid the errors in MIS reporting for sales and billing. For example inquiry has received from sales org.A ,then company will send  the quotation to A from different sales office and after that company A might be having different sales offices and sales groups in that sales area.Due to this ,again system will expect the entries from user who is creating the order.
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Pasapula.

  • One of the instructors within our institution submitted their course for publishing. I, as the site administrator, have not received an email requesting the course be published and it hasn't appeared in our iTunes U site manager courses either. Any clues.

We are new to iTunes U and all of our teaching staff are generating courses for our school.
We have successfully published one course publicly.
One of our teachers submitted a course on 24 January. I, as site manager/amdinistrator have not yet received an email requesting that the course be published. We've double checked everything and there are no errors that we can find at our end.
Does anyone have any clues on how we can rectify this? The submit course option has now disappeared so she cannot resubmit.
    Cheers

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Sorry for the delay replying...while your post is a bit old now, it still deserves a response.
First -- these forums are not a formal channel for support from RIM. Rather, they are user-to-user support forums where users help other users. As such, it is unlikely that RIM will see and respond to your inquiry.
What I suggest is that you have your affected users exercise their formal support channel -- which is available via their carrier. The carriers have the ability to escalate cases into RIM for resolution.

  • US and Canada Address Validation

My company is only using Oracle HCM and I wanted to know if there is an alternative product besides Vertex Geocodes for US/Canada address validation?
I read through the HCM implementation guide and it seems that a version of the Vetex’s Quantum product would need to be installed in order to load the Vertex Geocodes. Are Geocodes the only way for address validation? If not, are there any other options available?
I appreciate any assistance and guidance with this inquiry.
    Thank you.

  • Restoring Windows Server 2012 w/ADDS and DNS to Hyper-V

So I asked the Below question in the server 2012 general forum but i am sure it is the wrong forum so I though I would ask it here in the hyper-v forum .
So I have one DC in my environment that I would like to upgrade from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2012 r2. I thought before I upgrade the production server I would convert it to a Hyper-V virtual machine and preform the upgrade on a machine that
can be deleted if the upgrade goes horribly wrong. We use Symantec Backup Exec 2014 to backup and restore. So I was able to restore to a virtual machine,   the machine powers on, I was unable to open any of the ADDS administration consoles until
I added a Microsoft loop back legacy NIC. To make matters worse when I try to run the in place upgrade from Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2012 r2 I receive and error asking me to first run ADPREP /FORESTPREP and /DOMAINPREP. Unfortunately when I run
either one of these commands I receive an error saying that that ADPREP can find the DNS name for the domain or forest. So my question is how do I restore an ADDS server to a virtual machine and bring up all the services so that it functions in the capacity
that the physical machine was functioning but in a closed environment. Thanks for your time and consideration of my inquiry.
    Best regards,
    Zajac

    Hi Zajac,

If I understand it correctly , you are going to P2V that DC for upgrade test .
I would suggest you to use Disk2VHD to achieve P2V for your DC  then test in-place upgrade .
