BW query Dump

Hello All,
I can able to execute the report, but when I drilldown the report on characteristic, I am getting the below error.
"TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED" C
"SAPLRSDRC" or "LRSDRCU27"
"RSDRC_NCUM_BASIC_QUERY_DATA"
Total number of records are around 400000.Please let me know why above dump is coming.

Actually if the Info Provider contains huge data then such type of issue will occur.
Can you let us know on which SP your server now.
Might be some patches issue.
And also mention all the error message what you are getting.

I read my data as shown in examples, but my data just displays the query dump. If I add cfheader and cfcontent, the query dump just displays in an Excel.
I'm using CF 9.01 and Excel 2007

As you can see, I'm trying to write 2 tabs. That doesn't work either. All the data is dumped into one tab.

My initial problem may start with "Simply create your spreadsheet as usual." How do I do that?
With the code I just tried below, I did get a spreadsheet. So using cfheader and cfcontent is correct?
I did not get 2 sheets though.

Also, will I be able to code to Sort? Right now, I get an error message saying: "This operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized. (I had selected a Custom Sort on the entire sheet.) Is this a formatting issue?

ABAP Query - Dump

I have a transport that contains the ABAP Query, user group, query variant and the tcode to run this abap query. The transport has moved to Prod but gives a dump when the tcode is run
Program "AQZZZMM_DATA====QRY_XXX_YYY== " not found.
The infoset query generates a report "AQZZZMM_DATA====QRY_XXX_YYY== ".
What do I need to get this working ?

The above solution will work if you assign the transaction in one server, If you want this will not work in quality/production boxes when transported the query..the program name will not be the same in all the servers...
For this. Do the below:
In SE93, Create a Paramter Transaction
-> Transaction = Start_report
-> In default values, give the below details:
     D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE = AQ
     D_SREPOVARI-EXTDREPORT = Name of the Query
     D_SREPOVARI-REPORT = User Group
Save the transaction..Now if the program is generated with different names in the quality/proudction, this will still work..

Query Dump for table space troubles

Hi all,
I have to solve a dump on a query executed within a large ammount of data.
Error Message: No storage space available for extending the internal tab.
A dump occurred during the execution of a query dealing with the lack of space in the internal tab.the profile parameters are correct and we also have unsuccessfully applied the Note 903258.
The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLRSDRC" in "APPEND_DATA".
The main program was "SAPMSSY1 ".
does anyone know how can I procede?

we are having memory dumps TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED for queries.
I checked in trx.ST22 and I forwarded those parameters to the Sys. administrator:
"[...]If the error persists, ask your system administrator to check the

" While debugging a simple query with where clause i am getting dump...but when i set up a break point after 2 or 3 sentenses it is executed fine without any dump "
It has shocked me.... and i m thinking about it by my hand on my head that hows it possible.....

I think you are placing break point in <b>select & end-select</b>
In between select and end-select , if you place any break point ,then there commit statement will trigger,
thats may be the reason ,
so mostly the Programmers are advised to not place any Break points in between Select & end-select.
In your case just place the breakpoint after End-select
or before select

Dumping Query Warning

Our customer try to pull some information from the table and it was error out.

What were the actual Oracle error messaged received by the customer?
Has the customer every ran this query using the exact same tools before?

PL/SQL Dev query session lost on large resultsets after db update

We have a problem with our PL/SQL Developer tool (www.allroundautomations.nl) since updating our Database.
So far we had Oracle DB 10.1.0.5 Patch 2 on W2k3 and XP-Clients using Instant Client 10.1.0.5 and PL/SQL Developer 5.16 or 6.05 to query your DB. This scenario worked well.
Now we upgraded to ORACLE 10G 10.1.0.5 PATCH 25 and now our PL/SQL Developer 5.16 or 6.05 (on IC 10.1.0.5) can logon the db and also query small tables. But as soon as the resultset reaches a certain size, the query on a table won't come to an end and is always showing "Executing...". We can only press "BREAK" what the results in a "ORA-12152: TNS: unable to send break message" and "ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE".
If i narrow the resultset down on the same table it works like before.
If i watch the sessions on small resultset-queries, i see the corresponding session, but on large resultset-queries the session seem to close immediately.
To solve this issue a already tried to install the newest PL/SQL developer 7.1.5(trail) or/and installing a newer instant client version (10.2.0.4), which both did not solve the problem.
Is there a new option in 10.1.0.5 Patch 25 (or before) which closes sessions if the resultsets getting to large over a slower internet connection?
btw. using sqlplus in the instantclient directory or even excel over odbc on the same client, returns the full resultset without problems. Could this be some kind of timeout problem ?

Found nothing in the \bdump alert.log or \bdump trace files. I only have the DEFAULT profile and everything is set to UNLIMITED there.
But the \udump generates a trace file the moment i execute the query:

This trace is only generated if the query with a expected large resultset fails. If i narrow down the resultset no trace is written, well and the query then works of course.

Formula Variables in Query Designer

Hello All-
I'm using a formula variable in my report which is of type user exit. In my FM, I am calculation some Sales Growth Analysis based on some rates from the TCURR table. In short, I am calulating "FX Rate" for each currency (USD, EUR etc) I have in my cube.
In the end, my e_t_range table will contain an "FX Rate" for each currency...in many cases the table will hold more than one value. The problem is that my query dumps if I have more than one value in the e_t_range table. I've used regular user exits before on Chars and I was allowed to have multiple entried in the e_t_range table. What is the nature of formula variables? Is it the case that I can only pass one value to my query with formula variables?

Once Bex 3.5 query is opened in Bex 7.0, you can't open the same query in Bex 3.5. If you are still able to open the query in Bex 3.5 means you have not opened it in Bex 7.0.
Please check it while opening a query in Bex 7.0. It would ask you question " Do you want open bex 3.5 query in Bex 7.0?

MultiProvider report not functioning - overwriting protected field

I have a multiprovider that combines data from the Sales Overview cube (0SD_C03) with a custom plan cube (data from COPA and SIS). In writing queries off of the (active) multiprovider, short dumps occur except when only running against one infoprovider. In other words, if the query is restricted to only show Sales data (0SD_C03), it works fine. If the query is restricted to only show Plan data (custom plan cube), then it works fine. However, the intersection of the two does not work - which is the entire functionality of the multiprovider (a join).
I've cut the query back to the very basics: Fiscal Year and one Key Figure (that is present in both source infocubes).   Without specifying or splitting out the InfoProviders, it should combine the data (total the two), but instead creates a short dump. Using a structure to split Actuals from Plan also results the short dump. The only way to get the report to actually execute and return is to restrict it to just one InfoProvider. I tried copying the MultiProvider and starting over, but that did not improve the situation. The failure occurs after the variable screen has been filled in. (Also tried w/out variables.)
Using LISTCUBE, the data is found in a single execution (no filter applied to 0INFOPROV) and splits out to the two infoproviders w/ approp. fiscal year and Key Figure totals. So there seems to be something at the reporting layer malfunctioning.

What happened?
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLRSDRC" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
rror analysis
The program tried to assign a new value to the field "<L_SX_OLAPQUERY>" even though it is protected against changes.
The following objects are protected:
   - Character or numeric literals
   - Constants (CONSTANTS)
   - Parameters of the category IMPORTING REFERENCE for functions
     and methods
- Untyped field symbols to which a field has not yet been assigned
     using ASSIGN

WebLogic 8.1 SP4 fails to start on FC4 with Java (GNU libgcj)

Hi,
When I use the Java JVM which comes with FC4, my WebLogic server (8.1 SP4) will not boot.
NB It boots with the BEA jdk (also a 1.4.2 version)
I choose the FC4 Java JVM, because then the MySQL's driver mysql-connector-java-3.0.16-ga-bin.jar will work. (Checked
with a simple java program). But the WebLogic server runs off the rails.

The Exceptions before originate from a small java program.
I tested the working of the mysql driver with a small java program as I got these Exceptions when testing a Connection Pool in WebLogic.
The problems with WebLogic and databases started when I used the pointBaseConsole.sh script.
SQL State: 08004
SQL-Server rejected eshtablishment of SQL-connection. Pointbase Server may not be running at localhost at port 9092. NB Of course I have started the Poinbase server. It says it was listening at port 9092
I get these Exceptions both wtih opening an existing (demo) database as with creating a new one.
Here is the small java program: It is compiled/run with java (1.4.x) from FC4 and with java 1.5 from SUN. Both versions worked successfully.

Jdbc. The Network Adapter could not establish the connection. Help Please!!

I've found several responses over this issue, but none works for me.
I'm trying to setup a simple jdbc connection from a simple program.
Platform:
Fedora Core 4 (FC4) on AMD 64 bits
Java 1.4.2_04 (64 bits)
ORacle 10g or Oracle 9.2.0.4 (none works);
Tips:
- I can't connect to a remote server, nor to a local server
- I can connect using SQLplus
- TNSPing works fine
- Listener it's up
- my connection string is jdbc:oracle:thin:user/name@host:port:sid
- Also try jdbc:oracle:thin:user/name@//host:port/sid
- I'v tryied with classes12.jar, odbj14.jar
- my hostname it's ok.
I've monitored ip traffic on remote computer. While using TNSPING I detect activity. While using jdbc, no.
Please, any idea??

Bizzare error - datasource and getdate not returning correct day of week

This is on CFMX 7.0.2,142559.
I have a data source pointing to a MS SQL server. There is a
simple query that access a date off the database and extract the
values of:
-. Current timestamp
-. Day of week
-. First day of week
The query has been running for years and suddenly it gives me
the wrong Day of week and First day of week, but the timestamp is
correct! The result of the calculation for the Day of Week suddenly
became one day ahead, the @@DATEFIRST switched between 6 and 7
(being 7 as the correct value).

I tried to delete and recreate this data source, restart CF
and flush the cache with no success.
The really bizarre thing is for a few minutes after I restart
CF, it returnes the correct data, but then it suddenly moves one
day ahead - and again, only the Day of week. The DATEFIRST
sometimes returns 6 (instead of the correct value of 7) The
timestamp is ALWAYS correct.
I then created a second data source with exactly the same
parameters and named it "test456" and it works perfectly every
time!!
I am baffled as how this happened and how to fix it.
Does anyone know if somehow the datasource "test123" is
cached somewhere? Appreciate any advice/suggestions/ideas.

When CF encouters the string within a <cfquery> tag,
all it does is resolve
any CF expressions (there are none in your example), and then
passes the
finalised string to the DB and patiently waits for the DB to
respond, at
which point CF converts the DB-specific result set to a CF
recordset, and
returns it to the calling code. There is very little
involvement on the
part of CF other than that: the DB does most of the work, and
is providing
all the data.
All that said, it does seem weird that one DSN returns one
thing, and

OWB Error: Connection lost when assign a schedule to a process flow

I have:
- OWB 11Gr2
- Oracle DB 10Gr2 Source/Target
I have created a schedule module and set the location to be one of the target DB locations.
Create a one of schedule and scheduled for daily execution.
Open configuration of a process flow and assign with the schedule.
After this, i tried to save the repository, and occurred the error message:
"Repository Connection Error: The connection to the repository was lost, because of the following database error: Closed Connection
Exit OWB without committing."
The connection with the repository was lost and i can´t do more anything.
I tried to create a separate location for the schedule, but it don´t make difference
What´s happening?
