Bypass XI for Interfaces

Dear All,
We have arround 135 interfaces which will be designed with XI. There is not validaation and error handling of data in XI simply it is passing to R3 system.
Now client has suggestion that to by pass the XI and directly send the data to/from R3 from legacy system. 90% of scenarios are file.
I have few questions to be clarified:-
1. How the files will be put and picked up from the Legacy system. Does the Legacy application put/pick the file directly on ABAP application? If yes then How Legacy system will take care of it. (Most of the Legacy system is using FTP server). Does we require any third party System which will pick n put the file for Legacy and ABAP system.
2. How the monitoring of the messages will be taken care as we have many no of Interfaces. How to make sure that which all records has been updated in to ABAP database successfully and which all are not? In this case it will be very difficult to make out where the issue is
3. What are the risk and effort invovled with this appraoch.
4. How the performace with is appraoch on Prod system.

Hi,
(1)Depends on your Legacy file on User Local machine( presentation) or Remote system.
If it is available on user local machine then there are many standard functions like 'ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE', 'GUI_UPLOAD' are available for uploading Legacy data.
If it is availabe on Remote machine then by using the FTP Conection you can read/write the Legacy Data.
Some Standard SAP FTP related FM are 'FTP_CONNECT', 'FTP_COMMAND','FTP_CLIENT_TO_R3'.
(2)There is no any direct monitoring Tool is available in SAP R/3, only option is create the 'Z' table in R/3 and maintan the Transferred Data and Flags there.
(3)Effect involved is more compare to Iinterfacing through XI ( For example: Creating the 'Z' table for
Data Monitoring).
(4) Performance point of view there is not much difference.

What image are you running now ? I am facing the same problem in 8.4(1) workround : upgrade to 8.4(2)GLX.

I looked at system.log in the system profiler today and see lots of activity at 2 a.m. when I was fast asleep, should I worry? It seems to reset hostname and mentions frequent transitions for interface, looks weird to me (I'm not a teckie!)

I've been seeing messages exactly like that (and many, many other kinds) in the Console since the first version of OS X. They look menacing but are harmless.
You don't need any kind of security software.
Just surf the web carefully, pay attention to where you're going and don't install anything that you don't recognize. If you are asked to enter an admin user name and password, DON'T. Unless you know for sure that you initiated the installation from a known and reliable source (like Apple).
Mac malware relies on social engineering. No amount of security/anti-virus, blah, blah, blah software is going to help.

BW error: "invalid call sequence for interface when recording changes"

I am getting the error "invalid call sequence for interface when recording changes" when I try to activate a datasource in BW. Any ideas on how to resolve this error?

I already tried that. This is what's happening.. When I get this error, if I try again it will activate and gets collected into a transport. I moved this transport to our QA system. As soon as I try to execute an infopackage under this datasource in QA, I get the error datasource xxxxx must be activated. Before the excecution of the infopackage, the datasource is in "Active version executable". After I get the error message "datasource must be activated", the datasource in the QA system changes to "Active version not executable". I am not sure all these issues are related back to the "invalid call sequence" error I am getting when I try to activate the data source.
I also tried recollecting the transport from our Dev system to QA and it still gives the above errors.
Any help?

Error message: Multiple definitions exist for interface

Hi experts,
I am developing a scenario that involves a BPM, that receives a certain abstract interface, and sends out another abstract interface.
I have created a service interface for the result abstract interface.
I have tested the before BPM and it worked, but now it has stopped working.
In the java ui no errors are seen, and the BPM activates successfully, but in transaction SXI_CACHE the BPM is in status 99, and in the activation log there is a message saying: Multiple definitions exist for interface [Name of the result abstract interface].
I have tried activating the service interface, the BPM, and doing a delta cache refresh, but it didn't change.
What can I do to solve this problem?

Hi Gershon,
Try following thing, might help.
Go to ID and check which communication component you have created. Check if there is any other inactive version of it. If it is existing.Delete it.
Edit and activate the original Communication component and do cache refresh.

Hi Denish,
You have 2 ways of loading data from R/3 to APO.
1. R/3 to BW cube to APO-BW cube to APO planning area
or
2. R/3 to APO-BW cube to APO planning area
BW can be a enterprise BW system ( independent) or you can use the BW inbuilt in APO also referred to as APO-BW.
The only difference between the 2 BW systems is APO-BW can not take the load of reporting where as the enterprise BW can.
Unless your company policy requires the enterprie BW system, I suggest using 2nd way.
You can load the data from R/3 to APO-BW cube using extractors either generic or standard depending on your data. You need to have a RFC connection setup between APO-BW and R/3. ( This is not CIF).
When you load the data into the APO-BW cube, you just have to load the data from the cube to APO planning area using the transaction /sapapo/tscube.

Design options for interfacing RFC as Receiver

hello guys ,
Need some ideas in developing a scenario for interfacing RFC as receiver from a stored procedure call on DB side , what would be best and easy way to interface this RFC?

but what do you need to know?
you can call stored procureude with sender jdbc adapter
and put the data via RFC
it's better to use an abap proxy but if you cannot use the rfc
you don't need any BPM as this is a jdbc - rfc flow

Hi All,
I have the following scenario: RFC in the backend system (ECC 6.0 SP09 no EhP's) and PI 7.1 as an Integration Broker.
I have imported the RFC into Enterprise Services Repository and done the necessary tasks to configure an Enterprise Service.
After that I have published the Interface to the Services Registry, Testing the Interface in WSNavigator is working fine.
I have imported the Enterprise Service into Web Dynpro as a model and when running the Web Dynpro application I am receiving the following error:

Hi Sergei,
My backend system is ECC 6.0 SP9 (no EhP's) and therefore I can't use the trx SOAMANAGER.
I have imported an RFC from the ECC system into the PI 7.1 Enterprise Services Repository (Builder) and then published the Service (from Sender Agreement) into Services Registry also on the PI 7.1 system.
Testing the service in WS Navigator is working fine, I can see an endpoint here.
Also testing the WSDL with third-party application is working fine.
JAVA Web Dynpro is given me the error: no endpoints found for interface...

Error. in WS Navigator - no endpoints found for interface

Dear Friends,
I have created a new Enterprise Service Interface and implemented in ABAP. After the implementation I used SOAMANAGER to create the endpoint and publish the service using WSPUBLISH to Service Registry. When I tested this service from SOA Management application(SOAMANAGER), the endpoint is working very good, but when I am testing this service from Service Registry, it is now showing any endpoint in the 'Enter Input Parameters' Step. Also when I am trying to search the Service by using 'Search by Logical Destination', it shows the Service and when I select it, it shows an error message, "no endpoints found for interface (<namespace>/document)<Service Interface Name>_Document".
If some one knows about this issue, please advice me to do next steps.
Also I am planning to call this service from Visual Composer, I have configured the two logical destinations over there, also the service registry, even though, when i am searching the service, it shows an error like "Could not complete search".
Please advice me for the above issue also.

Hi,
If you have configured and tested from SOAMANAGER (which opens WSnavigator) then it is configured correctly. May be you are using wrong WSDL address.
Copy url of wsdl from SOAMANGER test screen and use it directly in WSnavigator for testing.
Regarding publishing of service WSPUBLISH should be able to publish correct service into service registry, but if for any reason it is not working then you can "publish" it directly from service registry by using publish option and provide url of wsdl from above option.
If for any reason VC is unable to search service registry then create destination template for your every service by providing WSDL and use it in VC.

To restore the iPod to get rid of the lock combination you forgot, just follow these steps....
1) Plug your iPod into the PC
2) Wait for iTunes to sync your device like normal and let it back up all of your stuff, since restoring deletes all of your data
3) Go onto your iPod's menu (The one that shows the memory bar at the bottom)
4) Locate the Restore button on the screen and click restore
5) If your not on iOS 5.0.1 yet, it will ask you to download the latest firmware, go ahead download it
6) When it is done downloading it will take you through the restoration process.
7) When it asks you if you want to restore it from a backup or set up as new when everything is finished, make sure you select "Back up as new"!!!
8) Re-Sync your music, apps, photos, mail, contacts, etc. and anything you had before, and you device is just like new.

Based on your other post, I think you're talking about Device Fault management. You can go to Monitor > Fault Settings > Setup > Threshold Settings, and select the DFM > System Defined Groups > Interface and the interface type you want, then edit the thresholds for this group. Change the default utilization threshold from 40% to your desired value. Save your changes, then go to Monitor > Fault Settings > Setup > Apple Changes to apply them.
