C4780 PC and Printer on different networks

Please help - I have just purchased a C4780 wireless printer, for a home with 3 laptops. Two of the laptops have been set up fairly easily to print wirelessly, but for the third I am getting the following message :
The PC and the printer are connected to different networks(192.168.103.0 and 192.168.1.0). They must be connected to the same network. This can happen when you use the manufacturer's default network name (SSID) and another nearby network is using the same name.
We have only one wireless router, a Linksys with SSID Linksys-6102, and that is identified on the printer's network test report, ( the only other listed is one called NETGEAR )  and also on the third laptop, as well as both of the others.
The router's IP address is 192.168.1.1
The printer's IP address is 192.168.1.104
One of the successful laptop's address is 192.168.1.102
The one I'm having a problem with has address 192.168.103.1
Can anyone help suggest a solution?

It sounds like the printer is on your network (Linksys-6102), but the third PC may be connected to a neighbor's (?) wireless network named NETGEAR.  It the third PC is connected to a neighbor's network, it will not see anything on your network.
Your neighbor probably has a NETGEAR router with no security, which is a huge risk for them and a pain for you since your PC's will sometimes jump onto it instead of your own network.  If you know whose it is, talk them into changing the SSID and adding WPA or WPA2 security to it.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Export Table Output and Print Output differing

    I am trying to:-
    export a table to excel.
    print the table data.
The output of the export and print are differing, the print does not capture the commandlink. The segment that I am using is :-

I tried including rendered="#{adfFacesContext.outputMode eq 'printable'}" in the af:outputText for rows & columns in the table, however, as a result the data in the Tableitself was displayed incorectly.
I got to know about rendered from the following thread Regarding printing a command link using <af:showPrintablePageBehavior>

I've also exported the document to IDML - and I've unzipped that folder. I've read the information for the colour - there's only 1 reference to Rubine Red and that's giving the same percentages as the InDesign file.
I don't know where the 2nd shade of pink is coming from.
But I suspect that it's from the print driver itself.
Also - just occured to me, I lost my PDF settings a while ago, InDesign crashed and the PDF defaults were missing - I dowloaded a copy of a set from someone on these forums through a google search.
But I no longer have PDF x4 export option - where can I retrieve these.
How can I restore the original PDF settings for InDesign?

  • Event id related to the removal of the file and print sharing for networks

    Hi ,
Recently print team has migrated the print server from the physical old server A to the VM server A-new .After the migration ,  the server A-new is retained with the name server A shutting down the old server .
But the clients are reporting that they are not be able to print because we found that due to this print team migrated the old print server to the new print server with the duplicated entries which reflected in AD. This our server team came to know once
the complaint raised  by the site person to us saying that their printers are not working at all.
While checking the issue only then we found that the duplicated entries are found in the AD for the printer objects published in the AD.Print team has done the improper migration and left to server team saying that it is our responsibility to solve the issues.
And I suspect that somebody has  removed the file and print for networks in the network portion of the windows. We came to know only when we try to take any share either file share or print from the particular server to file server.
After enabling that option in the network portion , everything got resolved as the duplicate entries removed from the AD and published one instance of the printers.
I need to find the event in which this action has been triggered to remove that component and from that to identify who has done that..
    Any help is greatly appreciated
Thanks & Regards S.Swaminathan Live & let others live!!!

There are some print events on the Domain Controller if one of the DC "pruned" the old print objects.  Unfortunately these are information events logged to Print-Service Operational channel which is not enabled by default.  You might
be lucky and someone had these events enabled.
Check if the channel is enabled on all your domain controllers.

How do I go back to LR3 ?
LR 4 is a disaster for me
    Dave

You could double-click on LR3, and use LR3.
Or you could calibrate everything properly (monitor and printer) in LR4, and see if you can get things to match (by the way, I'm sure other people have done this and are not having this problem, maybe some of them could jump in here and discuss)

  • Production and Development in Different Networks.

    Hi Experts,
I have installed SAP ECC 6.0 DEV with EHP5 and Solution Manager in one Network Landscape i.e under one live ip.  PRD is not yet installed. My SAP Router is running on Solution manager. Now i have a situation here. The client now wants " only the PRD server installed and shifted to a datacenter"  where he will buy a new live ip with a specifed bandwidth. Now my query is if this is the case how do i connect DEV and PRD servers which will be geographically apart. And how do i configure SAP OSS connection to PRD as my router is in defferent landscape. How will the stms be configured for the developments and customizations to move to PRD. Please let me know what kind of Network activity I have to take care of.
    P.S
Any information on installation of servers on VMware please let me as we are considering evern  that as an option.
    Regards,

    Rahul
I am not sure what you mean Geographically apart
If you mean they are in different domain there is an option to create domain link
    STMS --> Overview --> System --> System --> Create --> Domain Link
If they are not connected by network i am not sure if you can do much
    Cheers !

  • File and Printer Sharing on Network

I have a wireless network using a Netgear router on which two PCs and two Macs are connected.
I currently have no file or printer sharing enabled between the various systems.
I have a HP psc 2450 printer wired to one of the PCs via a USB cable, and I'd like to access this printer from the other systems.
Would somebody walk me through how this can be done?

  • Different default printer on different networks

    Hi all
I have been trying to figure out a way to set the default printer settings to default to a printer dependent on the network connected to. I use my MacBook on a home and work wireless network and have network printers on both. I would like to be able to set up so it selected the printer relevant to the wireless network it is currently connected to as the default.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

  • CT5508. APs and services in different networks

    Hello
Following customer indications I would build the following:
    - CT5508 with no LAG.
    - One physical port of CT5508 through which all APs will register with the CT5508
    - A second physical port of CT5508 which connect to a separate network from which contents need to be fetched for wifi clients.
Q1 Is the above scenario supported by CT5508 with no LAG?
Q2 Am I forced to reach the contents through the same physical port where the APs register?
    Thanks
    Fred

    Thanks David!
Why do so? The reason is customer has two networks: one for the office activities (web, email, SAP, etc) and one for the production systems. To protect production they want to keep these separated as much as possible.
Therefore one physical port of CT5508 will be connected to the office network to which all APs will be connected.
Then some of the wifi clients will use SSID=Production so they can access the production systems-related data. Therefore another port of the CT5508 would be connected to the production network.
    So far the customer desire.
I guess another way would be to use LAG and connect all CT5508 ports to the office network as the office and production networks are connected through a firewall. So to access production data customer could "open" the firewall for that specific traffic, but that is not what they want to do.
Regarding the doc you mention: I had studied it but the (i.e. my) point is that all VLANs run through the same physical/LAG port labeled Pj to the neighbor switch.
So with respect to the figure 2 in the url, according to your response I can have Vlans a and b run through physical port 1 (connected to switch 1) and Vlan c through physical port 2 connected to a different switch2 in the production network. Correct?

  • View and print PDF differently?

    Hello all,
I'm wondering if there is a way to create a PDF booklet so that when viewing it, you would see page 1 first, then page 2+3, 4+5, 5+6, etc. as 2-page spreads - BUT, that when printing it, the file would print each page on 8.5 X 11 so you could staple them together to create the booklet.
I can create the booklet as 2-page spreads, which is what I want, but then when printing it, I can only print the spreads together as I view them, with both pages of the 2-page spread on one 8.5 X 11.
If this makes sense, my question is whether you can set Acrobat Pro to display the booklet one way, but print another?
    Thanks for any suggestions!

Download and install Adobe Reader: Adobe Reader Install for all versions
Open the PDF file using it. If security restrictions don't prevent it you could also print it.

  • After moving to Lion, I can no longer print multiple different images on a single page as before when I select "copies per page". Is there any way to regain that ability?

In systems prior to "lion" when I wanted to select and print multiple different imagews per page, I could select the number I desired in "copies per page". Now when I select a number in "Copies per page", I get that number of a single image instead of 1 of each each different image. Is there a way around this?
    Thanks,

  • Help regarindg country formatting and printer formatting in scripts

    Hi all,
I'm facing a problem printing the address in SAPscript. Though we try to display the field T005-LAND1 within Address -endadress, the field T005T-LANDX50 gets displayed.
For example- when we want to display countrycode as NL(netherlands), only 'Kingdom of the Netherlands' is diplayed.
i believe this is because of the Country format used in the adress. Is there anyway we can change the country formating.
Also the output gets different alignment when we use differnt printers for preview. is there anyway to overcome this?
Your replies will be very helpful and thanks in advance.

    hi,
this is quite natural that ur print preview and print out differs and it differs from printer to printer.so, u have to define the paper size correctly and check if possible the type of printer they will be usually using.
here in ur case r u trying to pring the country key or country name.
in fact u have to pick the country key and print the country name in that place by getting the name from check table.

  • Error The PC and the printer are connected to different networks

    Hi,
I'm trying to set up my C4580 on my laptop, but I'm getting  the following error after the diagnostic test:
The PC and the printer are connected to different networks(237DB2A87D and 66616B65). They must be connected to the same network. This can happen when you use the manufacturer's default network name (SSID) and another nearby network is using the same name.
My setup is a Linksys router WRT546,  my laptop is conntected wireless to the router.  I have two other desktop computers that are directly connected to the router.  Both the desktops are able to connect wireless to the printer.  My router SSID name is 'Blair Office' with WPA security.
I get a internet connect fine with the laptop, but can't get the new printer to setup.
I saw another post that talked about 'Print the C45** Network Configuration Page', but not sure how to do this
    Thanks
    Diane

This reply may be late for this user, but it might be helpful for any current users.
I managed to change the modem's IP address to match that of the printer. In my case the printer worked fine wirelessly until I moved to a new place and installed a new modem. Here is what I did to solve the problem:
    1. At the printer, click on the wireless button, wireless settings, print network configuration page. This will print a page with the printer's IP address (in my case: 192.168.0.13)
    2. I accessed my modem via the internet browser, typing 192.168.1.1 (this is one of the default addresses (192.168.0.1 is also common). Default user and password is admin (usually). There I changed the modem's IP address to 192.168.0.1 and the range to start at 192.168.0.13 (my printer's IP address).
    3. I saved the settings (the modem will reboot and you will be offline, it may take some 20 seconds before the modem is visible again).
    4. Reconnect to the modem and check if internet is still working. Then try to install the printer again.
This worked for me after I read several other postings.
    Good luck!

  • How to print from different wireless connection on same network

I can print wirelessly when I am in range of the wifi to which my computer and attached printer connect. However, when I go to a different wifi connection within the same network, I cannot print. How can I my wifi connections on same network talk to each other so that I can print from second wifi site on same network?

The problem is you loaded the printer directly and now do not have it plugged in.. so delete the printer in the control panel.. then setup the printer again.. this time connect to it as network printer. The bonjour should make it available as a network resource..
Tell me if you still run into trouble doing that. You may need to load the IP of the TC manually..
Window7 has higher security level than xp.. and that can sometimes also cause issues.
Are you using SMB compliant names for the TC, wireless and printer??
Can the windows 7 computer get internet via the TC? Can you ping it?
Look up how to reduce the security level in windows to match xp.. I don't remember the details but you have to do some nifty footwork.

  • Network Two Printer in Different Rooms

I currently have a airport extreme with a shared printer connected to it. My my two printers can print to this shared printer like it is supposed to. I would like to add another shared printer, however I want it in a different room than where my airport extreme is located. I was thinking of buying an airport express and incorporating it into the network with the other printer connected to it. That way it would be shared. Seems to work logically.
Does anyone have a working setup like I describe it above? One (1) airport extreme as the base, one (1) airport express as the network expander and two (2) shared printers (one on each airport).

    Let me suggest some things.
But first ask exactly what wireless router you have now and what type of broadband service?
Are you happy with the wireless on the current router? If so, then you can plug the TC straight into whatever computer you have by ethernet, short 1M cord with no connection to the network. And use it without affecting your existing network at all. This is trivial setup.
Although you don't say exactly what Mac and printer you are using, is it a desktop? Laptop it is definitely easier not to plug it in, but a desktop you can plug in the TC and it will all sit happily together.
How is the printer connected and to what?
I am not sure why you need such quick help.. this is all minor setup stuff.. and 18months in todays world is like permanent man.
Your multiple A, B, C are more confusing than helpful.
The best choices without more info.. are to replace the existing wireless router with the TC. ie your option B.. but how to do this depends on the type of connection. Is it cable or adsl? Can you easily bridge the existing modem router.. if that is what it is?
Think carefully in the ideal world what would you like..
    and what do you have..
We can probably suggest ways and means to fit what you like to what you have.. without introducing a stack of options that are doing your head in.
