CA-ICI-CTI version in CRM 5.0
Hi Gurus,
We are upgrading CRM 4.0 to CRM 5.0 SR3. After the upgrade we would like to connect Cisco Telephone system to IC Webclient to handle the calls.
Bucher-Suter is the third party provider for Cisco. They need the following versions & features to integrate the Cisco Unified crm connector for SAP. .
SAP Interface and Release Level Requirements:
1. CA-ICI-CTI 6.2 - Integrated Communications Interface u2013 CTI 6.20
2. SAP NetWeaver Application Server 6.10, 6.20, 6.30, 2004, 7.0
3. SAP ICI Free Seating feature is required
I am trying very hard to find out the CA-ICI-CTI version that comes with CRM 5.0 but no luck.
Please let me know how can we find the ICI version? Your help is highly appreciated and well rewarded

Login to gui. --> system -> Status
and then you should see the crm version in your Component version.

Report On folders/documents/version in CRM
I need to develope the report using folders/documents/version in CRM created for <b>Business Partner</b>(Master data).
This details are provided in 3 different tables and there is no reference/link to Business Partner.so how can get the report? do we have any Function Module or BAPI for the same?Hi,
I think you can use the class cl_crm_documents. I use that to check if a product has a document or not, with the business object type corresponding at "bus1178".

how can i get the offline version of CRM OnDemand and how does it work, Does it require any configuration to be done?

I experienced few errors while using the offline version, which i would like to share with you.
I manage to successfully download all the accounts and contacts in the offline version; made ActiveX settings and Macro changes as required.
Accounts records are working fine, but when i am trying to access contacts i am facing run time error.
I am getting run time error while trying to create an Client or account. Below i am providing the details of the error.
While creating client - Run time error - 2147024809 (80070057), Could not find the Specific Object.
While creating an Account - Run Time Error - 1004 - Application defined or object defined error.
Please help. And as you suggested i will attend the seminar for using offline version.

CRM7 EH1 ICI/CTI: Add Key-Value Pair to Call Attached Data
We are CRM 7 EHP1 integrated to Genesys CTI (Communication Mangement Software) through ICI.
Is it possible in web_ui to add a Key-Value Pair (kvp) to the Call Attached Data (CAD) that it is sent back to the CMS?
For example: When an agent clicks Transfer to transfer a call to a queue, just prior to the transfer we would like to add a new kvp to the CAD that is sent back to Genesys via ICI.

If 7.0 CRM/ICI CTI and Genesys integrated so that all user info for agents is stored on the Genesys Config Server, and Genesys is configured with 2 ACD switches, 2 TServers and 2 Gplus Adapters?
Is there a way to configure two CMS profiles, and then assign value of any of the CMS profile in the Function Profile ID "CONTACTCENTER" dynamically in the code to a Business Role?
What we need to accomplish is that, based on the agent info in CRM, find out which of the 2 switchs (CMS profiles) agent is must be connected to, and that info is stored on the Genesys Config Server.
So, once agent clicks on "Log ON' in the IC phone toolbar, we need to find that specific info on the Genesys Config Server, then return to IC and assign appropriate switch (CMS profile) to the Business Role agent logges in as.

Additional parameters from CTI Connector - CRM

We are currently implementing a CTI scenario using ICI/BCB in SAP CRM 2007.
The CTI connector is successfully sending the inbound calls to the IC Web Client screen, and the business partners is identified through the telephone number.
I would like to know how to proceed in order to include additional parameters (e.g. business agreement) in the communication between CTI connector and SAP CRM.

You can first refer to the OSS Note 707104, where it had been explained on making use of the the BP and GUID directly for Account identification.
However, this note makes use of the BP and GUID directly. But in your case, it is something else (business agreement).
So one of the possibilities that I could see is:
--> Incoming call arrives into CTI with business agreement ID (as part of the CAD)
--> CTI do the BAPI call ( You will have to create this BAPI ) to use this Business Agreement ID in order to look up for BP Number.
--> BAPI returns BP number and GUID. (as explained in the note)
--> CTI add this CAD as part of CRM_IC/BUPA
--> BP will look up and identify automatically without any code change(this is as per the standard).
So the point is, as per the standard, the BUPA Controller will need the BP Number to be identified and confirmed. For this the CTI needs to first lookup for the BP Number, with the help of either the ANI(Automatic Number Identification, that is the incoming telephone number) or the CAD data.
Since in your case, you wanted to lookup the BP with the help of the Business Agreement(which is part of the CAD), you have to comeup with your own BAPI, which should accept the Business agreement as a parameter from the CTI and return back the respective BP Number to the CTI after successful lookup and this BP number can be made used to identify and confirm by the Account Indentification.
One thing that I'm not sure is, whether CAD and ANI are both correct, which one will take priority in the Account Identification as compared to the way it works in IC Winclient.

Crm Upgrade from Version 4.

We are currently planning to upgrade our Crm version from 4 to version 5 or possibly version 7.
We have extensivley modified the web ic bsp application and I am gathering information on what is involved in a system upgrade.

The biggest change for the webclient is that there is now the framework bsp application IC_BASE which is the top-left-bottom part of the webclient (toolbar, navigation bar, broadcasting bar, etc) and the application itself (the webclient) is bsp application CRM_IC is now only the workarea of the screen.
the reason for this is that in newer versions of CRM ( as op 2006s) everything is based on the webclient technology (bol/genil).
This means that you now have different types of navigation (through different bsp applications), so that you runtime repository now contains more navigational links (specified sometimes with the bsp application in front of the view).
As of version 5.0 you can run ICWC in Internet Explorer 7 (be carefull there are some notes) and you need to add a user parameter to you user (or directly in the call of the ICWC) CRM_ICWC_DESIGN (value DESIGN2003). Also please take into account that this parameter is used in the webclient, but SAP does not supply it in it's table of parameters (TPARA) so you have to add it yourself (only possible via debugging in tx SE16.

CTI - SAP CRM & SAP BCM: ANI does not work in SAP standard
Hello Experts,
our customer wants to work with a CTI in SAP CRM WebUI Role (Non IC; CEBP).
For the CTI the SAP CRM 7.0 (on HANA) and SAP BCM where itegrated.
We are using the Slim Communication Toolbar as recommended by SAP.
The Problem ist that the ANI (Automatic Number Identification) does not work.
The Callers Number is not identified. Function Module BUPA_SEARCH2 is not called.
No Changes were made in this area. We are completely using the SAP standard.
Has anybody experienced issues related to this one?
It would be great if somebody could give me some help and/or information!

CTI: screen pops with out CTI connector
Hi.
i have business scenario where we need to perform screen pops for an incoming phone call without traditional connector solution. currenty we have ivr/cti and sap crm icweb. my initail thoughts were to implement webservice from cti/when call gets routed to agent.once acd sends call to agents it should trigger webservice to sap crm ici through http call ici should intercept the soap message and parse(transformation) it to abap through ici. e.g if i use exisiting ici soap and use ici adapter( with custom built ICI proxy classes from the WSDL ) plus a http get to include user id and account from CTI would this be a good approach* sap crm 5 version*
1. now questions araises on how we should assign call to same agent who got call routed.
2. how to sync up both cti and ic webcient so that there is no time lapse
i have seen few experts implemented similar solution How to trigger a search in CRM IC
"server-side integration between CRM 5.0 IC WebClient and web-based telephony client
running besides. We used same technique as ICI interface to communicate IC WebClient,
i.e. simple abap messaging (SAM). Restriction: works only INBOUND"

guys, I am new to CRM and need some clarification on the web/Win IC clients and the CTI integration. My questions are as follows:
1) Do I have to have a java stack of the CRM sytem to use the Web IC client ?
2) Is it possible to use the Web IC client in a ECC system ? If so, how ?
3) What really is win client ? How is it different from using CIC0 tcode ? Can Win IC client be used in a ECC system or is it only used in conjuction with a CRM system ?
4) Is the ICI inferface only for CRM and sapphone is only for ECC ?
5) If we need to connect a CTI system like cisco PBX to a CRM system for incoming and outbound calling, would we connect it to the ABAP stack or java stack ?

No. The new interface WebUI is only for CRM.

CIC0(CRM) and win client is almost the same thing. CIC0 is a CRM transaction used in winclient. Win client is a old version for IC and SAP advice to use only WebUI.
