CA lifeline

It would be much easier to provide the LIFELINE discount program form via the web so that customer do not have to wait so long to request one via your customer service call center.  Since going throught lifeline website link already let's you know whether you qualify or not, it should not be so challenging to request one online, fill it out and email it.  
Is this the only way to obtain the form by calling your call center?   I really prefer not to call.  
Furthermore, with unemployment increasing, there should definitely some benefit for those in financial hardship to be able to maintain both internet and phone service at a discount rate.  

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look down the middle towards the bottom where you will find an area titled "My Private Support Cases".
There you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions.
They did reply to your first post in August, but as you did not respond to them, the case was closed.

    Go to the printer manufacture website and download the drivers for your printer model for OS X v10.9 Mavericks.
    Then open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Print
    Select your printer on the left then click -  (minus)
    Then click + (plus) to add the printer.

  • URGENT! BT line needed for LifeLine Service!

    My parents are trying to get a phoneline installed into a new-build bungalow for my Gran who replies on a lifeline pendant.  They called in the middle of March to order the phone number to be transferred to the new address only to be told the earliest that it could be done was 28th April!  They eventually managed to get someone to agree to 8th April but that date was put back and they were promised 16th April, the day before my Gran was to move home, on that day aparently two engineers were supposed to turn up, because the 2nd engineer arrived before the first, he found initial work hadn't been completed and left the property.  We're not sure whether engineers have even turned up as the wiring is already installed and the bungalow was locked.  move date has come and gone and still no phoneline despite BT making various excuses.  My Mum is at the end of her tether with the constant stream of excuses, today she's received a text message saying that the phone line is now active (the phone is dead) and when calling to report it, she's been told the order has been cancelled.
    My Gran  relies on lifeline and the lack of a phone means that this is putting her life at risk as well as unneccessary worry for my Mum and stress in trying to deal with the call centres who seem to have a different excuse everytime something is not done.  Is there somewhere (preferably in the Uk) we can get in touch with so the phoneline activation can be managed properly as I do believe the overseas call centre staff do not understand and/or do not care about the seriousness of the situation we're in?

    I try to create sequence diagram in Oracle Busines Process Architect 11g. I use type of model "UML Sequence diagram". But in palette there is no object with type "Lifeline". How can I add lifelines to my sequence diagram?

    i guess you are clicking on file>new>model , or something like that.
    y dont you first go to designer/explorer , make sure you see the navigator frame, and click on "local" in navigator frame to start the local database first. adn then login to any database to create a model/group.
    In case it does not even happen then, and it still says unable to start the local server, check out the logs in <Oracle BPA Suite>\LocalServer\log directory and check what the error is.

  • Mapping Shares on a ix2 with Lifeline 4.1.102.29716

    First of all i would like to say how pleased I am with the price of the ix2. I purchased it for under $100CAD delivered.
    The amount of paperwork sent in the package is unbelievably thick which I would consider a big waste of materials.
    With no instructions of how to set up the device, only how to connect to create a online cloud account and a link to have the device recognized on the LAN, one would expect a little more instructions when it comes to setting up the device.
    At first, the live chat was helpful in the way of explaining what a share was and guiding to the download of the LenovoEMC Storage Manager to setup the Shares onto each computer.
    However, I thought I would update the Lifeline and downloaded Mindtree Survelience software all in the same day. Thought to reload windows on one computer because I had too much junk loaded onto it and discovered that I can no longer map the ix2's Shares. The folders will show in the LenovoEMC Storage Manager and it shows that the device is connected but it won't map the drives even if I try to do it manually using Windows Explorer.
    The pop-up reads, "The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error has occured: The network location cannot be reached. For information about network troubleshooting, see Windows Help."
    In desperation I used the reset button, and after reading online of what could have happened if I tried to reset the device(wiping the hdd), to discover that now only 1/3 of the 2/3 of computers that were connected will connect. I hadn't noticed before but the one computer that will connect to the LenovoEMC Storage Manager had mapped the drives automatically. How easy is that!
    So my problem is how to have the other 2 computers connect to the shares. You can see the shares in the LevnovoEMC Storage Manager but it isn't mapping them. Is there a problem with the latest Lifeline update and how can I change back to the original Lifeline to see if it is the update? Can this be done without having to move files to a different storage location(computer) until the problem is fixed?
    Unfortunately Live Chat was unable to troubleshoot the problem and had asked me to take it to the forum :s.
    Anybody know how to resolve this issue?

    I don't know what I did but after reloading Windows XP on the two machines that didn't work (many times) I finally got them to work without a glitch or concern that they would fail again.
    At first i thought it was because of my registry edits to disable ports 135 and 445 but I can now see that the one good computer left has these edits and has no problem connecting to the NAS.
    The only thing that I can think of is that I had forgotten to password when trying to connect with the laptops and inputted the wrong passwords. I used the one computer that was working to change the password and then of course the problems of either not connecting or seeing the greyed out shared in LSM and not being able to have them automatically mapped.
    Thankfully that is all over with and now I enjoy its extra space.

    Creative Labs?has supported the DVD-Audio format more favorably in the interests of audiophiles in the past. More recently the DVD-Audio player software that was shipped with your X-Fi soundcards have been discontinued.
    I've looked at products from Bose, Yamaha, etc. to see whether they have packaged speaker solutions for 7. channel HD audio, and there are none. You really have to know this stuff, things like DTS-HD Master Audio, to figure out that for Blu-Ray movies a 7. channel speaker setup is better than a 5. channel speaker setup. There are salespeople that still push these 5. channel products in the hands of gullible consumers.
    Can X-Fi soundcards process HD audio such as DTS-HD Master Audio? Is there likely to be X-Fi soundcards available in the future with HDMI outputs that I can use to connect them to my HD receivers?

    Lifeline rates are only availble for phone since it is considered an essential service.
    Internet and TV are not considered essential services.

  • Lifeline Service removed and Unlimited Local Calling added, what gives?

    I received quite a shock when I received my bill recently. Apparently, my Lifeline Service was removed and Unlimited Local Calling was added instead, tacking on an additional $12 to my landline bill. What gives? I do plan to call Verizon to investigate the matter on Monday, but I am wondering why this is. Is it because Lifeline Service requires that I renew after a number of years, or what?

  • Lifelines trackit EEG recording with LabVIEW

    Hi, I am trying to control a lifelines trackit EEG (www.llines.com) recorder using LabVIEW via serial communication (DB9). Does anyone has any experiences connecting this device with labview? I've done several communication via serial communication with labview before but not as tough and difficult as the current task. I am not able to understand the device (trackit) command in order for me to apply the Basic Serial Read and Write VI. Please advice. I have the Lifelines trackit recorder Interface specification in softcopy as reference but do not know how to attach here. Please let me know if you guys need the  copy as reference. TQVM

    Is there a demo program from the manufacturer that works?? you can use portmon or NI spy to capture the serial datastream and reverse engineer the labview code. Sometimes ya have to think like a hacker.

  • Lifeline services dropped - no reply to recertification

    It appears there are many others who have experienced this.  I never received the recertification and when I called, the phone representatives said they had nothing to do with the process.  Then I found the Lifeline page on the Verizon page (so Verizon surely does have something to do with it, contrary to the information provided by the customer service representatives on the phone).  So I completed it, faxed it to the number on the form with proof of eligibility, and my account has not been corrected.  I am 87 years old, and Verizon is billing me for a much higher amount and will not correct the account. 

    My brothers landline has had his lifeline dropped also, even though I sent the recertification in on time. I have called Verizon twice to get this resolved and they say that it is not their company (Verizon) that has anything to do with it. They gave me different numbers to try, which all said the recertification period is over, via a computer type response. I was not able to talk to a real live person.
    Apparently there is not a place or person to talk to where one can find out what happened to their recertification application.
    I owuld be willing to talk to Verizon again, but don't want to keep going in circles with this.

    When you get the Verizon landline telephone service ,get the telephone number,  you send the lifeline applaction form to the Verizon Lifeline Dept. ,  that is very easy,   but if you upgrade to  TRIPLE PKG,   I do not know how to do.,   I just know lifeline Discount just ONLY  ONLY for the TEL. landline only.     not internet and TV.

    if they try to pressure you into getting FiOS, tell them you'd consider switching to their fiber optic phone service for same price as your POTS line costs....(POTS=plain old telephone service, or copper line phone)...but get it in writing....i'm pretty sure that if the switch from copper is at their insistence, then they must provide you with equivalent service at no extra cost to you....and that they do indeed have fiber optic telephone lines that aren't technically FiOS....of course i don't have any links to sources of this info....i read it quite some time ago and i'm not in the habit of saving links to interesting info....i could "google" it, but why bother....anyway, good luck.....ooh, i almost forgot....what i read said that they must continue to provide you with equivalent telephone service at no added cost, but it did NOT say that would include DSL high-speed Internet access, so if you use Verizon dsl   you may get a price increase there, or they may still try and insist you pay FiOS prices

    I applied for Lifeline and was declined.  The letter says I do not qualify.  I don't understand this...I am disabled, living on Social Security disability.  I receive supplemental food stamps, Medicaid (I pay in for Medicaid coverage), I receive Section 8 housing assistance, I receive HEAP, and I live at or below the poverty level.  Can you please explain to me just how I do not qualify?  Or at the very least, give me a number I can call to speak to a HUMAN regarding this...to find out exactly what the problem is.  Is it because I have moved recently?  Please advise.

  • My iPhone 4 is randomly opening and closing apps. I have restarted and even did a reset. Any ideas how to fix? This is my lifeline as I use it for work

    I have restarted holding gown the sleep button and done a hard restart using the home and sleep at the same time. I reset all my settings. My screen continuously switches from different apps and screens. In text it randomly selects letters. This happened once a few weeks ago but only lasted a couple hours. This time it's been more than 24 hours. I use it for my business so it's vital I have it working. Thanks for your help

    You need to restore using iTunes you last sync with.

    I don't understand your anger. In your first message
    you posted that you installed OS 9 and updated it to
    9.2.2. So why don't you do that again on the 700 MHz
    iMac?
    I find it very amusing that somehow you see anger in my post. That is realy very funny! The reason I didn't just simply install OS 9 on the 700MHz Imac is stated in my original post. I would need a special (the original disk that came with this computer) bootable OS 9.1 disk to install 9.1 on this particular computer. However if there are retail 9.2 or greater disks available then that would work to. I own a retail version of 9.1 that I used for the 400MHz Imac. That wont work on the 700MHz Imac. So now I have to buy a another OS 9 disk. Thanks for your input. Al
