CAF Attachments error

Hi Experts,
I created an entity service with two simple attributes and sap.com/caf.core/Document entity service as a reference.I configured CAF and KM.I am using NW sneak preview.Then I configured Attachments UI pattern for this document.Then I configured Object editor for this entity service.
But when I try to upload an attachment through the Object Editor It is giving the fallowing error.

Pdf email attachments - error msg after download "not decoding" - creating DWORD key did NOT work!

I went to REGEDIT and installed the DWORD key as suggested by ADOBE to fix problem created by security update & it did NOT work!! Attempting to save then open the files gives same error msg. I sent multiple emails from a book scanner at the library with pdf files in quick and searchable formats & neither will open! Someone else that I forwarded the email to was able to open with no problem & he is running version 10. There is no option to load earlier versions!!!! I am running version 11 on Windows XP.

I scanned hundreds of pages using a book scanner @ the law library - the USB port was not working so I had to choose the send by email attachment option. Received 30 emails & NONE (so far) of the pdf attachments will open - the error msg states "Reader could not open "doc" because it is either not a supported file or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)." I forwarded 2 emails to someone else running version 10 - he had no prob opening from email (I have version 11 & then I also reinstalled 9.5 & STILL getting the same error msg)! Used someone elses's computer who is running version 10 & same error msg. Each time I try a fix I then go to a 'new' unopened email & attempt to open an attachment that hasn't been previously downloaded. Adobe supposedly has a fix - from Regedit - create DWORD key @ HKCU/Adobe/Reader/11/AV General "bValidateBytesBeforeHeader" - I did that & restarted computer each time I installed etc - still NO solution! So unless you have another idea I have a THIRD 6 hour roundtrip to the Law Library in KC in my near future!

Hi Josef,
sounds to me like you don't have the CAF installed at runtime. Can you verify this first, please?
To find it out, you can use the NetWeaver Administrator tool and have a look if "cafruntimeear" and/or "cafcoreear" are there. Follow the instructions of [this|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/1e7eb303577524e10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm] page on how to do that.

Download of large attachments used to work when code is 1.4.2 compiled and SAAJ is 1.2
We have upgraded the code to 1.5 and using SAAJ 1.3 now.
We are unable to download attachments > 10MB.
Please let us know if we need to do any changes at SAAJ to fix this error ?

Try downgrading to SAAJ 1.2 first. If that doesn't help, then is it probably a bug in Java 1.5. But according to the stacktrace, I rather think it's a bug in SAAJ 1.3 (as mentioned in the previous topic).

Hi There,
Once you have undeployed DC's erroneous metadata with SDM you should restart the j2ee engine.
If it still does not fix the issue, then try removing all kind of reference to your own deployed DCs (including Config_DB entry) <u>after backing up your sdm repository</u>.
You can do this by editing sdm repository .sdc file very cautiously.
Then verify in SDM that all references to your DCs are gone,
Finally restart you j2ee engine.

Exch2013 - OWA Message with Attachments Error

Greetings,
This morning I worked on an issue with an email that has 5 attachments sent to multiple people in my organization. The type of attachments include one .docx file (830 KB) along with four .mp4 files (21MB total). When this email is viewed in OWA for all recipients
besides one, they can view the email and attachments without issue. On one particular mailbox I see the email in the Inbox but when I select it I get "Error: Your request can't be completed right now. Please try again later."
If I forward the same email to this user I get the same error again. If I break the email into two emails, splitting the attachments up, three on one email and two on the other email, it comes through correctly.
My mind goes to some type of send/receive limit on the user but when I check the limits on the user account, and on the database, I have no limits set. Also all users are on the same database so that wouldn't support that idea.
Can someone explain to me what could cause an email to show correctly on all recipients for this email but for one recipient they receive that error?

Hi Robert,
Just one user cannot open big size attachment in OWA, it seems an issue on the specific user side.
Please let the specific user change to another computer and Browser for testing.

Preview of Mail attachments: Error!

Hi all,
I have a problem since I use my new iMac with Mountain Lion:
Whenever i try to open an attachment of either a mail that i received or that i sent directly out of the message window, a dialog pops up and says
German: «Mail konnte den Anhang „xy“ nicht auf dem Volume sichern. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Ihr Downloads-Ordner vorhanden und nicht schreibgeschützt ist.»
I try to translate to english: «Mail could not save the attachment „xy“ to volume. Make sure, that the download-folder is existant and not read-only»
If I do a right-click on the attachment and choose "Show in E-Mail" or if I choose "Save to download-folder" from the same dialog, this works fine. I already tried to change the default download destination several times but it did not influence the problem at all...
anybody has a similar problem or a solution for that? would be very happy to be able to open attachments directly again.

Opening attachments - ERROR MSG - 'Not enough memory or disc space'

Hi
I'm trying to open a word .doc from my Entourage email account and it comes up with the error message ' Not enough memory or disc space'. My hard drive has 119 GB free - so I'm thinking it may be a memory issue.
How do I deal with this/clean up my computer??
I just turned my computer on for the day and got this message. The only programs I've got running is Safari, entourage, word and adobe reader.

At this point the best I can offer you is a suggestion to reset your printer prefs in Firefox to see if that will help with that issue.

Attachments Error

Hi,
In iProc , while creating the requisition i am attaching one document. After attaching the image is coming in the attachment table. When i click on the attachment image the file name and other things are coming.
But when i changed the preferences from English to Chez the attachement image was appearing , but while opening the attachment there is no file name and other information , empty table is coming.
Please help me what is the problem in the above case.

Exe giving error for report generation and LV 8.6.1

I have created and installed a labview application in a PC(windows XP) where labview is not installed. (already included NI_Excel.lvclass)
I have used a report(excel) generation to display the results.
I am getting following error:

Open vi reference error

Hi all,
I am using LabVIEW 2011 SP1. I am running such a vi which is calling another vi by selecting a boolean button. After opening the new vi, the previous vi will stay opened but being minimized and the new vi will stay maximized untill user forces to close the new vi. All the operations are going successful at the start. But if we keep running it for 12-13hrs, then an error is coming in open vi reference of the previous vi and the previous vi becomes maximized and above the new vi. I have attached the error message herewith. Please give me a solution.

Error 2 is a memory full error. If you right-click on the error cluster you can select "Explain Error". The most likely reason is that you are not closing your references properly, or you are not closing them at all. It could also be something else, such as continously building an array until you run out of memory. Without seeing some code it's impossible to say what the real cause is. If you cannot post your code then you will need to look at your code to see whether you are auto-disposing the VI references. If you are not, then you are responsible for closing them. If it's not a reference issue, then you should use the performance tools to monitor the memory usage of your VIs to see which one is causing unbounded increased memory usage.

Error reading TDMS file with inconsistend dt

Hello all,
I would like to ask your help to understand how to read a TDMS file which I am opening and closing based on a user input. As a result the data in the TDMS file does not have a consistent time step, which may be causing my problem, but I really don't know. I keep getting the error 2501, that I have an invalid reference.
Or, if I continue and bypass the error, the extract portion VI gives me an error stating that I need to define an integer multiple of dt.
I am not sure how to solve the first point as I have the reference wired directly to the read TDMS vi.
I have attached a screen shot of the error and the portion of the VI with the offending error (it is the code connected to the read TDMS read vi).
My goad is to extract a portion of the data to do calculations on and display a result to the user.

I think you open multiple times the same TDMS file, you should open it before the while loop. And I don't see a close tdms function...
Also check for errors on the open TDMS function.

.vi's unable to run because of real-time Startup error

See that attached files for the error. Whenever I try and deploy the code onto the robot the attached error comes up. Is there any fix for this or is this a new error? I have also tried a completely new C-Rio project so that it is the basic settings that FIRST gives us. This same error comes up with that one also so I am thinking it is a computer problem on my end.

It sounds like there is a start up application already on the cRIO that has different versions of these VIs as dependencies. I'd recommend turning on the NO APP setting on your cRIO. Depending on which cRIO you have this will either be a hardware switch on the cRIO or a setting you can change in Measurement and Automation Explorer.

Missing Sub VI error when running Application.exe in development PC

Hi,
I have created an application(exe) on my computer, which is also where I have also designed the different blocks of code for this application.
All the blocks of code work just fine when made to run through Labview 2013 development software. After adding all the VI files associated with the project in the project explorer of a new project and configuring the build specifications, I was able to create the executable. But, when I try running this executable/application(.exe) file, I get the missing subVI message. I found that some of these missing sub VIs are the Instrument driver VIs which work absolutely fine when run through the LabVIEW development sofware.
How can I resolve this issue?
Attachment "Error Screenshot" shows the Missing sub VI message.
Attachment "Project & Error Screenshot" shows the Missing sub VI message along with the list of dependencies in the project, which shows the error being displayed eventhough the sub VI is present in the dependency list.
Any comments in this regard are highly appreciated.

If they are (Non dynamically called)-dependancies of always included dynamic calls, Yes, the build will include them.
I hate to say it but, Start with the rs dynamic vis and keep adding if that meerely helps reduce the list of the missing vis.
