CAF GP: Making an Action/CO invisible until the previous CO is complete
Dear Experts:
We have a scenario where we have two actions/callable objects (let's call them CO1 and CO2) in a sequential block.
We want to make it so that when the user has completed CO1, that CO2 appears below it but NOT until after they hit "complete" of the Action.
Is this possible? How would one go about implementing this?
Once we figure this out, we would then like to make it so that CO2 only appears conditionally when two things are true:
1. When the user completes CO1.
and
2. When another CO2 RFC returns true.

I have installed printer software that needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled and I keep getting an error message saying that the application is running and needs to be closed before proceeding. I do not know how to close applications and uninstall software. Any help????
If its an actual application and appears as an icon in applications then click and hold over the icon and drag it to the trash can. That should uninstall it as far as I know.
If its like the HP printer software then there is an uninstalled icon within the folder.

How to wait until the 1st part of the processing is done
Hi,
I had a hard time to combine two parts of processing in one .vi file, and thus would like to get some advice/help through the forum.
Attached is the partial finished vi file I made. You can see that it is composed of two parts. The upper part is to run a bat file (check_result.bat), which generates a result.txt file. The lower part is to use the result.txt file as an input file, and check if the key word called "test case passed" is included in the result.txt file or not. So I want to run the upper part firstly, and then run the lower part after the upper part is finished.
However, I don't know how to connect the two parts in a right way that the lower part only starts running after the upper part is finished. Any comments/help is highly appreciated.

All you need is a data dependency between the two parts. Often critical parts of each section contain error terminals, so you can just string em along in the proper order and each part must wait until the previous node has finished.
In your particular case, the read operation has no error input, so you can recruit any other input. Create a fake data dependency by strategically placing a small sequence frame containing common code. The sequence cannot start until all code that provides imputs has finished, serving your purpose.
Of course it seems silly to even try to read the file if the previous node failed. Right? So simply place the second part inside a case and hook it up to the error output. Now the second part (1) waits until the first part has finished AND (2) execute only of the first part succeeded. No sequence needed.
All clear?

I have cross dissolve transitions set between images and videos, and I have the pan/zoom hold setting at "0." Despite the "0" setting, my images are static until the cross dissolve is complete. I want the pan/zoom feature to start the moment the subsequent image becomes visible. Is there a solution?

Do you mean fading in visible versus or completely visible at the end of the transition? Whatever the case, I have not
found a scenario to fit what you are describing.
However, here are my suggestions for you to consider...
1. What is the alignment of the Cross Dissolve transition - Left Clip, Between Clips, or Right Clip. If Between Clips, please try Left Clip alignment.
2. What is the duration of the Cross Dissolve transition - you could try varying the transition duration. If less than 1 second, then please read the
details for minimum transition duration in the following

Firefox doesn't respond when opening a new tab until the page loads completely
When I open a page in a new tab, Firefox freezes until the new page loads completely. I can't switch tabs or do anything. It then works normally. Older versions of Firefox did not have this problem; it only started after I updated a few months ago. What can be done about this problem?

Siri used to work fine when making mobile calls in Ecuador until yesterday, when the administration of Ecuador added an aditional number in all mobile numbers existing in Ecuador. Since then Siri is unable to make any mobile calls with any new number.Help
I`ve tried restarting, rebooting, nothing works.
The interesting thing is that SIRI can call to previous mobile numbers (without the new digit) obviously not connecting , and, can call to any other numbers as an office or home number. So the problem is the new digit in the mobile numberEcuador has added an extra digit to mobile phone numbers but apple wont accept 10 digit phone numbers so we cant use facetime or apple IM or verify our new phone numbers. ( and Siri won't work either!) I have contacted apple support online but can't request a call back as the apple system says our new phone numbers are invalid. I am going to phone them tomorrow and you should complain too at http://www.apple.com/support/contact/. . The more people that bring this to their attention the faster it will get fixed

I just downloaded the new itunes update, now I can't copying TV shows purchased from the library to my backup computer, it says the files are invisible. Never had any problem doing it until the update. I have a Mac Pro G5 OS 10.6.8. The desktop hidden files app doesn't reveal the TV shows.

Continued trouble making button hot spot invisible after click
I posted this question a few days ago and wasnt able to come up with a solution so I'm hoping to post again and see if anyone can steer me in the right direction. I have a few buttons that use loadmovienum to load a few clips into levels. The code on each button is something similar to:

But because the print_index movie slowly scrolls across the stage rather than immediately replace it, there is a moment where the button turns completely invisible after the click. Perhaps the bigger problem is that it doesnt make any of the accompanying buttons invisible like it is supposed to- only the one that is clicked. Any ideas?ah yes i should prob describe the scene better- its a button inside a movieclip. The movie clip makes the button appear to kinda 'float' around the screen slightly and there is a simple rollover action on the button to make it highlight once rolled over. I've run into a snag I know you smart people will be able to help me with.:)
I have created a menu system, linking several large pieces together. Each menu button opens the linked project.
Here's my problem....I need to make the Security Policy Final Checkpoint module unavailable until users have taken all of the content. (something added to the scope of the project AFTER I created this...dang it) Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Yes, all of the modules are seperate .cptx files that are "linked" via the buttons on the menu. The menu is also a seperate file.:)
All of these modules have an "avatar" voice narrating the entire piece, so having one giant file with over 120+ slides was not working well, so broke them up into seperate modules and built a menu file to navigate between the modules.
Completion of the linked module IS all they have to do. Returning to the menu is considered completing that module, yes.:)

Making Subform Instances Visible/Invisible

Read the JProgressBar API and follow the link to the Swing tutorial on "How to Use Progress Bars" for a working example. While in the tutorial you should also read the section on "Concurrency" which explains about the EDT. -
Preloader Not Loading Until The Start of Lesson In Captivate 7
I created a Scorm 2004 compliant lesson using Captivate 7. The file size is ~7MB. When I load and run the lesson on our LMS I don't see the preloader until 3-4 seconds before the file loads. I'm staring at a blank screen for about 45 seconds before anything happens. I have the preloader set at 10% but I can't get it to work.
I loaded the file to one of our FTP sites and ran it on an html page and it does the same thing.
Our customers are asking us why there is no indication that the lesson is loading and all I can say is it's a problem with Captivate 7.
I upgraded to 7 because I was told the problem was fixed, but it's still bad.
Any help is appreciated.
ThanksYes, it's set to look in the Cp7 preloader folder. I found this on a Captivate website and I think it answers the question.
"As mentioned, preloaders are only really applicable for HTM/SWF output. But what you may not realize is that they will only work if the content is served from a web server over HTTP. Conversely, the preloaders will NOT work if the same content is served up from a LAN server drive over TCP/IP. This is due to the fact that SWF preloaders need to communicate with the server to calculate and show the percentage of file currently loaded. This communication works with web servers, but not with LAN servers."
Unfortunately, Cp7 preloader is going to work on our LMS. I'm going to build a preloader class in Flash and call the Cp7 swf using that.

If you still have Captivate 6 on your PC, then make sure that the preloader in this Cp7 project is not pointing at a folder in the Cp6 install directory. It should be using a Cp7 preloader.
