There is no standard settings for your requirement. With a help of abaper you need to define an enhancement.

Conditional inventory value posting once at the end of the month.
Business Scenario : Our client is a service and facility services unit where in 97% of items are expensed at the time of the GR and assigned to cost objects.
However we have a requirement to track the inventory (stock as well value once at the end of month). For e,g we will do perpetual inventory for the whole month and do a stock take at the end of the month and post the value.
Options like UNBW/NLAG/OMS2 materials does not help as the value posting will happen once in a month but stock postings can happen on a daily basis. We are able to expense still take the stock for the materials but not able to post the value after a stock take at the end of the month.
We are fine for any exits and enhancements as long as it does not disturbs standard SAP.
Kindly suggests your idea's and suggestions

Swagat PandaHi,
You need a custom table for storing material issue data and a custom program to run goods issue in the background at month end.
Create a custom table where store man can enter quantity of material issue with material number. Again let store manager check and correct it if anything wrong.Once store manage happy, then you can run automatic custom program ( which you can run only at the month end ) which posts the goods issue in the background taking data from custom table.

Month end inventory value and qty
Hi,
Is there any std report in SAP that specifies the month end inventory value and qty ? Also how does MCSK transaction work ?
ThanksOptions:
1. Check with MC.1 (for plant perspective) or MC.9 (for mtl perspective), by specifying the period in the Period to Analyze
2. Check with MB5B, by specifying the month start & end dates in the Selection date field.
3. Check with MB51 report by specifying the posting date.
Hope the above helps.

Inventory Month End Value Report
Hi all,
I've been informed that I can confirm the value of my ERP inventory month end value report by the following formula:
last month end value + current month delivery value – current month MO (Move Order) = Current Month End Value
but the oputput of this formula does not reconcile with the report generated from ERP .. I think this happend because the ERP uses the average costing method .. but again why for only this month the numbers are not the same?!
Thanks,Options:

Inventory Management: Month beginning and ending inventory levels
Hello,
I need to have beginning and end of month inventory levels. I havent been given any functional specs . The only favor I would like from you is to know what standard chars and key figs you are using in your rows and column. And how are you using the objects in the forumla Naveen A suggested in the thread [SAP Business Explorer (SAP BEx);.
Specially where he mentions formula, I would like to know what key figures does it consist of and are they restricted to the current or prior month.
Let the end inventory be the same way and the begin inventory be as end inventory - ( total receipts current month - total issues current month).
ThanksAnyone...Naveen A ....Arun????
This is a simple one...
Thanks

Previous month end based on prompted values
Hello All,
I need to create a SR report that shows:
Received in current month: count of Service requests recorded in current month selected. For instance if date prompt selection was March 2010 then count of SR recorded from Mar 1- 31,2010
Open Service Requests at month end Count of SRs where "Date Completion entered in system" is null as last day of month selected(eg March 31)
Carry over from Previous month: same as Open Service Request as month end less one month.( eg Feb 28)
I currently have a prompt which lets the end user choose the Month and Year they want to run the report for. I am getting the right values in my first two columns but my carry over is giving me problems. Any idea how I can write a formula for 'Carry over from Previous month'??
Any help is appreciated!
SoniaHi Max,
The carry over is causing problems. However, the formula for the month end chosen is
SUM(CASE WHEN CAST ("Service Request"."Closed Date and Time" AS DATE) IS NULL OR CAST ("Service Request"."Closed Date and Time" AS DATE) > TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_MONTH, 1, (TIMESTAMPADD (SQL_TSI_DAY, - (DAYOFMONTH(CAST ("- Service Request Custom Attributes".INDEXED_DATE_0 AS DATE))), CAST ("- Service Request Custom Attributes".INDEXED_DATE_0 AS DATE))))THEN 1 ELSE 0 END)
But when I use this formula for previous month (-1).. It does not work. It gives me zero.
Thanks!

Incomplete Process order settlement at Month end.
We have issue with order settlement during the month end. We have process orders that run over the week (thus will run over the month-end), with REL, PCNF, and PDLV status at the month end. Production does not want to close/ TECO those orders, as we are not yet done. But FI wants to settle them for the month end.
1) Can FI settle those REL work orders, as mentioned before?
This is what I found:
2) The standard practice is TECO, is to set before closing the order.
3) You can only perform (business) closing for a process order if (CLSD):
The order has status Released (REL), Control recipe created (CRCR) or Control recipe discarded (CRAB), or Technically completed (TECO). To have status Technically completed, the order must have already reached status Released.
The order balance is 0.
There are no more open purchase requisitions, orders, or commitments for it.
All data related to the process order is available and correct (For example, the inspection lots for the order must be completed).
There are no future change records from the confirmation processes
2) So, if statement 1) is correct, is this correct lifeycle:
A. Settlement at month end for all orders with REL status.
B. TECO after settlement, and also after DLV and CNF status.
C. Close after TECO.
Upload in your comments, if there is any link.
Thanks, points will be rewarded.Hi Abi,
Since the Process order is in uncompleted stage and partially delivered to stock, still it has WIP to be delivered to stock.
Calculate the WIP value & settle the order in Month end.
Prerequisite for WIP calculation is order should has REL status.
In month end for Uncompleted order , calculate WIP value & settle the Order.
General steps for month end practice:
Over head calculation
WIP calculation
Variance calculation - Once the Order receives - DLV /TECO status.
Order settlement.
Order closing

Posting Run Month end accruals error
Hi Guys,
after running the payroll driver on test mode for period 26 2009...when I look at the log file...I get an error that the employee has been rejected...and the maximum number of search runs exceeded under Month end accruals...
looking fwd to your comments and suggestionsHello Shiloh S,
The error message "Maximum number of search runs exceeded" occurs in
function UACGF, which is for the Month End Accruals calculations.
Below, I've updated information which explains the Month End Accruals
process, calculations and required table entries:
1. Tables T549S and T51A1:
The T549S table needs 3 dates specified for each pay id. Those 3
dates and their respective Date IDs are:
01 = pay date
04 = posting run
05 = ACC: Earliest Doc. creation date
To check if these entries have been made, please go to sm31 and view
if the entries have been made for the year for example: 2002
(you should also check consistency of future entries as well!)
You can create the entries via the IMG paths specified below for the
respective Date IDs (if you have not already done so).
NOTE: The tables are only changed if a flag has been set for the field
'Carry out table change'. If no flag is set, a test run is performed.
01 = pay date
IMG -> Payroll US -> Basic Settings -> Payroll Organization
-> Generate Payroll Period
You can view the documenation on this step by doubleclicking
the title of the step. (NOTE: first change your Text Display
by going to 'Utilities - Text Display - SAPscript)
For further explanation - click 'Report Documentation'
04 = posting run
IMG -> Payroll US -> Month end accruals -> Triggering Month End
Accrual computation -> Maintain Posting Date
-Create ('Info' icon provides explanation of how to run.)
05 = ACC: Earliest Doc. creation date
IMG -> Payroll US -> Month end accruals -> Triggering Month End
Accrual computation -> Set latest earliest document creation
date
For T51A1 - Final date for HR Postings (Accruals):
This date determines the final date on which postings may be effected
from HR for each posting period. I would advise you to set this up
for each company code and each accounting period of 2001. For more
info, please select F1 in the fields that you are unsure of.
You can maintain these dates via the path:
IMG -> Payroll US -> Month end accruals -> Triggering Month End
Accrual computation ->
2. Explanation of Month End Accruals:
First of all there is a switch to say in general if accruals are to be
computed for an employee or not. This switch is called ACCMO and
is set to 'ON' (1) in rule UAC0. Unfortuately this rule is deactivated
in your development system so that accruals are not calculated.
If this switch is set to 'ON', the system first tries to find out if it
has to calculate accruals and for which periods this is to be done.
If you have a payroll period which overlaps two posting periods, you
will have accruals for this period.
Generally the system can calculate accruals according to exact/current
values and or the system can estimate the accruals. The system always
tries to be as exact as possible which means it always tries to use
current values.
So: How does the system decide if for one period current values can be
taken or if an estimation has to be done?
If you need to post accruals for a payroll period because it overlaps
two posting periods, you have to post to both posting periods. So you
have to make sure, that you are still able to post to both posting
periods when the posting for the payroll period is done. This means the
system has to check that the LDCD (Latest earliest document creation
date) of the payroll period is earlier than the closing date of both
posting periods concerned. Often one posting period is already closed
which means that it is no longer possible to post accruals to this
posting period when the overlapping payroll period is calculated. This
means the system has to estimate values for this overlapping payroll
period before. In other words, the system calculates accruals for a
payroll period in the last payroll period with a LDCD which is is
earlier than the closing date of the overlapped posting periods.
Thus during payroll, the system checks for the current and for the
following payroll periods if things have already been done (because now
it is too late), if things have to be done now (because when the next
payroll period is calculated it will be too late) or if it will be
possible to post accruals after the next payroll period.
Hoping the above information are helpful.
Kind regards,
Graziela -

Oracle Inventory: Inventory Value as on date Query
Hi guys,
We need to write a query to get inventory value based on a particular date, say '31-dec-2011' for certain auditing purposes. We can use historical transaction summary report for this purpose, however this report produces more than 800 pages for a single requirement.
We were able to retrive the current inventory value using the following query
SELECT SUM(moq.transaction_quantity*moq.item_cost) inv_cost
FROM mtl_onhand_qty_cost_v moq
WHERE organization_id = :p_org_id;
Unfortunately none of our exercises from last couple of days fetch values anywhere near to the historical transaction summary report as on date inventory value for the above said cut off date.
We tried the following query against mtl_material_transactions table
Select sum(transaction_quanity*new_cost) inv_cost from mtl_material_transactions
where organization_id = :p_org_id and
trunc(transaction_date) > to_date(:p_date)+1 -- transaction value after '31-dec-2010' for example
and then deducting value from second query from first query value...
Please help
Regards,
rajHi Sandeep
I was able to run the API mentioned with before report trigger successfully, however cannot retrive any lines from cst_inv_qty_temp, cst_inv_cost_temp tables. I had gone through the API body and "assumes" this particular API repopulates the data each time when the report is submitted, identified by the unique session id.

Asset Under Construction(AUC),During month end settlement run(via KO8G)
Hi Guys ,
please hlep on this AUC :
During month end settlement run (via tcode KO8G), if there are -ve (credit) values to be settled to an Asset Under Construction (AUC) asset which does not have sufficient +ve value in the current FY, the settlement run will prompt an error message "Balance for transaction type group 10 negative for the area 01". The TT posted via the settlement run is TT115. To get around, user has to raise a manual journal (via doc type AT) to post the -ve value to the same AUC asset via TT101. TT 115 and 101 are configured differently (see attached).
Since the Fixed Assets system does accept credit posting to AUC via a journal, is there a solution to make posting go through via the settlement run?
Regards,
NarraYou can settle the AUC value in one period and posting can be made in another period. in the same you can give the different asset value date in KO88 screen. The only limitation is this possible only if the fiscal year is same.
Give the asset value date as 15.07.2007 in KO88
Hope this will work
