Calculated SAP USER ID not binding

Hello Users,
I have to calculate the SAP user ID in the method and then bind this to a container which is set up to flow to a send mail step where it is input as recipient type: Organization object and the expression is the container element. The container element is multiline (if multiple SAP users need to be output) and is type SWHACTOR where OTYPE = u2018USu2019 and OBJID = SAP USERS.
However after multiple testing in SWUS and using the debugger the workflow fails with message u2018No administrator for tasku2019. I debugged through the method and I am sure that the container element is populated in the method but when  I debugged into SENDTASKDESCRIPTION , ADDRESSSTRINGS is initial which is the issue .
ADDRESS_STRINGS is a table container so my code in the method to set it is
SWC_SET_TABLE CONTINER <>, could this be incorrect? (should I set up the  table variable as type ADDRESS_STRINGS and not SWACTOR)
Has anybody any suggestions as to what could be the issueu2026.when I change the expression on the SENDMAIL to WF_INIIATOR  then the workflow completes but the user message must not go to the initiator of the workflow but to the calculated SAP USERID.

Hi David,
I think you're mixing up two separate issues here:
1) get the users you want to send a mail to (with a method)
2) send the mail to the users using a SendMail step in the workflow
You can look in the workflow log to see if 1) returns any users to the workflow.
If it does, you just have to bind that same container element to ADDRESSSTRINGS in SendMail and it should work.
I just tried it with a test workflow. I created a workflow container element called TESTMAIL with type SWHACTOR,
multiline, import and export and I put two initial values into it: US BAKKERR and US SMITHG.
I then created a SendMail step (which requires the creation of a new task) and in the binding attached &TESTMAIL& to &ADDRESSSTRINGS& (I left the default binding of G to &TYPEID&). It worked.
Please try that and figure out if your problem is with 1) or 2).

    You can just create him using SU01 and assign the required profiles (compare with client 000).
    The question is, why it does not exist.
    You can check the change documents for users and find out who did what and when.
    Nevertheless, it is not mandatory that SAP* exists on every single client of a system. As long as the value of the profile parameter login/no_automatic_sapstar is set to 1.
    If it is set to 0, you have two options: either create the user immediately with a safe password, or change the value of the above parameter from 0 to 1.
    Otherwise, your system is extremely vulnerable to attacks.

  • SAP* user doesnt have full authorizations.

    Hi All,
    my Admin user for EP7 portal is locked.
    Tried to activate the sap* user to chang the password of my admin user,
    but strangely the sap* user is not able to do so too.
    When i click on User Admin on the sap* user I get a mesage saying
    "you have not enough rights to perform this contact your systemadministrator"
    I fail to undrstand how can sap* user not have rights to admin...when its purpose is to
    act as emrgency admin user.
    Now I am helpless as this is the only way to reset admin password....
    What should I do...

  • Change User password not working in SAP ME 6.0

    Hi,
    In SAP ME 6.0 SP01 6.0.1.0 Counter 40, the activity "Change User Password" does not work for me or any other user.
    The activity window (Netweaver) shows, but in the top it says "An error occurred - contact system administrator".
    This is the output from the default trace file. Seems my user is not authorized, but where do I set this authorization?

    Change User Password screen is in fact user self services screen of NW UME and to access it, user must have Manage_My_Password action. Installation and Security Guide ask to assign this action to all roles.

    I created a new client from SCC4. And now I am trying to login with SAP* user and pass password but it is not allowing. Note provided in SAP Config Guide is not working.
    I installed SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP12 and then created a client.

    I agree that the issue is probably due to the parameters for the automatic user SAP* - not sure about the Masterpassword though - the newly created client is only an entry in a table at this stage, so I don't think the system will know any password but the hardcoded one...
    Something you should be very careful about is the Java-Stack, which is part of SolMan7 and which runs SMD. The Java stack can only interface with one client properly, so I am not sure what's the idea behind the newly created client.

    Users are not able to access two different SAP portals at a time, if users login the OLD SAP Portal then they are not able to access NEW SAP Production Portal asking user id's & Password while doing ECC & APO transactions.
    If user clear the Internet Explorer cache then for time being they can access but its not the permanant solution.
    Can any one please help me on this.

    here we are facing this problem, this company users not able to access both the portals at at time
    If you want to access HTC and Armed at the same time you gotta complete SSO Config or User mapping between these two Portals. You can refer to the below link for more details.

    General users can not send emails from T-CODE: SO00 themselves except the users
    which Assigned SAP_ALL Authorization Profiles .
    We hit SAPconnect trace Error : SO_OBJECT_MIME_GET Exception: 2 .
    No MIME Document Received. Error Code: UNKNOWN .

    we can send email successful only SAP_ALL users .General users can not send emails from SAP themselves

  • Managers who are not SAP users

    Hi everybody.
    I have an assignment to create a workflow that sends emails to the manger of an employee when the trial period is over.
    The manager in return has to send information to the HR Department, whether or not the employee should receive a permanent contract.
    Not all the managers are SAP users.  Do you guys have any idea how to implement this?  I can find the mangers via a rule.  And I can figure out his personnel number, and even the email from the HR master data, and send an email.  But I don't know if I can handle a response..?

    Hi,
    Basically you need to set your workflow to wait for an event. And the event will be triggered by the incoming email.

  • Decision should Not go to all SAP Users if no agent found in rule. How to ?

    I am determining user agents in rule , when agent is find decision is going to only the agent sap inbox which is fine.
    in some cases no agent is found , at that time decision is going to all SAP users in the system.
    I am using Generic Decision task with General task in agent assignment step.
    As per our requirement if no agent is found it should do nothing ( means no decision to all users ).
    Please help me how can i acheive this .

    Hi VeeraBrahmam,
    Does you rule call a function or is it a rule with responsibilities?
    If it is a responsibility rule then you could create a catch all responsibility so if no user is found in the other responsibilities you could send the work item to a backup user or admin user who could take action.
    If you set the flag as Rick suggested it will set the work item to error so make sure you are aware of this and check work items in error on a regualr basis.
    You could copy the Generic User task TS00008267 and maybe set more restrictive users rather than have it set as general. However this means more maintainence.

    thanks for your reply. i wanted to add 2 thing after the installation the password i entered in installation was not working  for all the super users that is why i had to delete SAP* from database and change the j2ee_Admin password.
    you mentioned that the java stack is unable to communicate with abap stack but i can login to portal by j2ee_admin user. but when i go to identity management then it give the error i gave you earlier.

  • How to let SAP user use SSO to access Application in DMZ?

    Hi All,
    Our J2EE application is running on a system in DMZ which can not be connected with LDAP. So I am wondering if it's possible to let SAP user use SSO to access our application.
    After talking with my colleague I think the only way is to import SSO public key to our WebAS and create user in UME and then assign user to the corresponding public key, but anybody know where to download SSP verification file or is it allowed to download and import into another system at all?

    Hi,
    Take a look at this example, it uses property nodes to select tha
    active plot and then changes the color of that plot.
    If you want to make the number of plots dynamic you could use a for
    loop and an array of color boxes.

  • Error while scheduling report for SAP users

    Hi All,
    We have SAP authentication enabled in our BO environment. (BO XI 3.1 sp2 FP 2.6 on windows 2003 server).
    There are some webi reports based on BW Bex queries that we are trying to run on behalf of certain SAP end users. This we are doing using "schedule for" option.
    Now what is happening here is if the end user has logged in once in BO system ,it runs fine. But in case user has not logged in to BO (using infoview etc.) ,it throws error saying "incomplete logon data" . Also if user changes or reset his password in BW and if he doesn't login to infoview after that ,system throws another error "Name or password incorrect (repeat logon)".
    Based on these observation, we are suspecting if BO system uses stored SAP users credentials while scheduling report for them based on their last login.
    Would like to mention here that we have checked option "automatically import users".
    Please advice if this behavior is normal or we are missing some setting.

    Hello Daniela,
    you try to perform an offline backup (which is a very uncommon way nowadays) and your SAP system is not down.
    This is also described in the official documentation:

    offline: Database backup in offline mode, in other words, the database is shut down during backup. When you select this parameter, BRBACKUP checks that no SAP system users are connected to the database. If an SAP System is active, the database is not shut down and BRBACKUP terminates the process with an error message (message number BR0068E).
