Call servlet via dialed connection

Hi, I want to access a servlet on an corporate (ISDN)
intranet from home using a dialed (modem) connection.
Is this doable? If possible, how do I point out the
server in the browser? The server has no static
IP-adress unfortunately. uhh. It's rather uncommon for a server to have a dynamic ip. in this case, you could use dynamic host registration, so the server registers itself with the actual ip on a intrabet based dns server.
other posibility would be the server places it's current ip address on a webserver that has a static ip.
Or, you could use a broadcasting mechanism (protcol) to get the ip. This would require an additional server component.
But, we not just give the server a static ip?!?

Lync client won't connect to a conference via dial-in number hosted on deterrent pool than conference.

I have been
troubleshooting a very strange issue with Lync clients being unable to connect
to a conference via dial-in number when the conference is hosted on a different
pool. This happens internally and there is no media gateway or SIP trunk
involved.<o:p></o:p>
Users are
unable to join a conference from Polycom CX phones and Lync 2013/2010 software clients
by dialling conference Dial-in number which is located on a different pool than
actual conference. Users are prompted to input their conference ID, however,
they are never connected to the conference (10 min silence followed by error
announcement). <o:p></o:p>
This only
happens if the dial-in number is homed on a different pool than conference.
Both pools are Lync 2013 Standard Edition running on Windows Server 2012.
Servers and clients are patched with the latest CU.<o:p></o:p>
I noticed that
when you call dial-in number’s SIP address, user will get transferred to a
conference (works ok). When you dial just a number users is never transferred
and RT Audio traffic still goes directly to a server which is hosting dial-in
number.<o:p></o:p>
After
checking Lync traces it looks like Lync client ignores the REFER message from
the FE server hosting Dial-in number and it never send an INVITE to the server
whit active conference.<o:p></o:p>
The only difference
between INVITES for working calls and calls that failed to connect to the
conference is the presence of the user=phone in TO header:<o:p></o:p>

Please try to disable refer support for all pools.
The problem seems occur when Attendant transfer the call to another pool.

Calling out via Skype Handset - connection problem...

All help gratefully received! I have Skype on iPad and on a desktop PC which both work just fine with my Skype number, loads of credit on the account, good internet connection here in Turkey. I also have Skype handsets (GE 31591 twinset) in the house and for some reason these will receive incoming calls but will not connect my outgoing calls.
I have tried a complete power down and reset but not fixed the issue.
Any ideas?

It looks to me logical that this possibility would be incorporated in the SPA 3102, looking to all the other user options. Are there other (Linksys) devices that can provide this service in combination with the PSTN and SIP-line?
What would you suggest as “solution” or what does other user do to avoid this problem? It’s rather unprofessional when a client is calling that you can’t answer, because you’re on the line even you’re in the office and you can’t mention it to your client. Is there a possibility to forward manually the client on the PSTN to a mailbox or to a busy tone record? I can always put a mailbox after a few rings, so the client can’t wait too long. Is there a possibility to take the second line and leave the first on hold (asterix codes?).
For the second issue I will check it with the local regulator BIPT. Witch fields are important to adapt to local settings.
Indeed it’s an analog phone with a card reader. It’s not clear to me whether the phone is dialing a telephone number to load the card. If you put in the card, the phone ask you to put in the pin (you don’t need to call a number – but this can be done automatically). Patched on my PSTN line it worked properly. Thanks!

Hi, can anyone tell me if the DROID X will be able to make a call FROM Europe TO the USA via a WiFi connection .... for FREE? Conceptually, I would think it would work.... but, I'm no "techie"......

Hi. I will be happy to answer your question regarding making a call using a Wifi connection. There is no application that comes with the phone that will allow you to do so. All calls can only be made through our 3G network. You can also check the application market on your phone to see if you see an application that fits your needs.

Testing Sync Servlet via Browser successfull or not?

calling the sync servlet via the test url
http://server/meSync/servlet/meSync ...
brings the following result:

According to the documentation there should be a value for execution time.
Is the test sucessfull or not?
I'm obviously asking, because I don't get my MI client working.

Not able to import User Profile Property via BDC Connection

I want to fill some of the user profile properties via BDC Connection. I already have created more than 50 user profiles which I imported from AD. Now, in order to import profiles properties using BDC, I performed below steps:
a) Ensured Business Data Connectivity and Secure Store are running and used account has Full permission on these services.
b) Created an external content type using SharePoint Designer and created an external list to ensure that data is available:
Set email field as identifier, which is one of the columns in SQL table and is a primary key.
Created Read Item and Read List operations on above ECT.
c) Checked the presence of above ECT in BDC service and ensured it has all necessary permissions i.e. Edit, Execute etc.
d) Configure a new synchronization connection in User profile Service by selecting the same ECT. Here I chose to connect 1:1 mapping and picked up WorkEmail property to return items.
e) Mapped one of the custom property with one of the fields of SQL Server. Here, I ensured they both have same type.
f) Ran Full Synchronize after above steps. On checked, I do not find any data in the mapped properties.

Have called the helpdesk and are willing to solve and take this one back in, although it will hurt. The macBook Pro continues to be out of reach economically, so it would need to be the white macBook...
Just wanted to check some last items before making final decisions as I am checking an alternative workaround
- my camcorder supports recording on memory stick which can then be read into iMovie without problem. Any idea if memory stick is lower in resolution as normal DV tape recording? If this is comparable I can choose to from now on switch to memory stick. When I record on the stick it is then recognised as MOV.
- is there any other (non apple made) OSX software on the market to facilitate only the USB driven capturing? Hence did any other SW supplier plug this hole? The old windows pc has proven that the camera streams images via the USB port (hence don't at all understand why iMovie cannot just support capturing via USB streaming...!!!!) and I understand it is more that iMovie doesn't support capturing images via USB, but does anybody else at least for the capturing bit?
- You read about Firewire - USB adapters/hubs/convertors. It is however never clear if it would solve this issue. Dead-end street or an option?
- I can capture my archive of old tapes on my old PC and then put them into my Mac. However the capturing SW makes one large file of it and no event is split. Any idea if on import iMovie could automatically split this into different events (based on date or start/stop?)
- final question: does iMovie when capturing video from tapebased camcorder automatically split events based on date or start/stop? Would be silly to make switch and then still find out I need to manually make the cuts.

I called this problem into Apple and they solved it for me. The problem is in the downloader associated with iTunes. Skip that step and go to Apple.com and download the new iTunes softwere update (Version 11.1) directly. I did this and installed it successfully. After restarting the computer iTunes recognized my phone and all was well. Then I updated and installed the ios7 update without any problems. No charge. Full cudo's to Apple!

ERROR WHILE STARTING SERVLET VIA examples SERVER

          I am desperately trying to start a Servlet via the Examples Server. So
          I compiled a servlet, copied it into the config\examples\applications\DefaultWebApp_examplesServer\WEB-INF\classes
          folder, opened the web.xml present in the WEB-INF folder and entered the necessary
          tags.
          But after having started the examples server and having typed http://localhost:7001/quickStartServlet
          in Internet Explorer I get Error 404.
          Any help would be warmly appreciated.

Calling Servlet from a java prog?

Hi all,
I am calling servlet from a java prog (Java Agent in Lotus Notes) by using URL and URLConnection object. how can i trigger the Servlet By using doPost method .I have to send some parameter also.

you need to open a connection to the servlet. Then you must call getInputStream() and getOutputStream() and use them in any way you see fit. I was trying this before and could not get POST to work unless I openned the input stream from the servlet. Strange... but doGet worked without openning the input stream???

Calling servlet through HttpURLConnection

hi guyz ....
I am trying to call a servlet, hosted on Tomcat/4.0.3. It is accepting two parameters. I am using the following program to call it, but it is continuously throwing exception Exception in thread "main" java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://202.141.230.246:8080/examples/servlet/AServlet. When I paste the above same url in browser, it works fine, also other servlets at the same location are working fine from my program and browser. For your convenience, the effective part of the code is given below:
