Call WebService without BPM

Hi Guru.
I need your help.
This is my scenario:
1) PI 7.1 reads a file va FTP
2) with the contetn of this file the system calls a WS
3) with the response of the WS I need to write a file via FTP
How can I do this without BPM?
Thanks
Manuel Chiarelli

Hii
You can very well do this.
File adapter for file send/receive.
SOAP adapter for web service.
this should help u out more
RFC Scenario using BPM --Starter Kit
I think RFC Lookup is the best solution to your problem. Going for BPM might give performance issue.
Use this crazy piece for any RFC Mapping Lookups!

    Hi,
    Please try to seach in sdn, you will get lot of material available for these kind of scenarios.

  • Call webservice without input message

    Hi.
    I have webservice which doesn't need input message. For example stack cleaner.
    <wsdl:message name="eraseStackRequest">
    </wsdl:message>
    <wsdl:message name="eraseStackResponse">
    <wsdl:part element="impl:result" name="result"/>
    </wsdl:message>

    Is there possibility call this service from BPEL. JDeveloper require input message.
    When I create input variable and assign value to it, I get error.
    Thanks.

    You can try something like this:
    Variables:
    <variables>
    <!-- Reference to the message passed as input during initiation -->
    <variable name="inputVariable" messageType="client:BPELProcess1RequestMessage"/>
    <!-- Reference to the message that will be sent back to the requester during callback -->
    <variable name="outputVariable" messageType="client:BPELProcess1ResponseMessage"/>
    </variables>
    Assign:
    <assign name="EmptyAssign">
    <copy>
    <from variable="inputVariable" part="payload" query="/ns1:Balance/ns1:Empty"/>
    <to variable="outputVariable" part="payload" query="/ns1:Balance/ns1:Empty"/>

  • How to call multiple request to CRM and R/3 without BPM

    Hi all
    I have a scenario where a SOAP request will come to XI via webservice
    I then have to call an interface mapping which has Java mapping in it(the java code is basically calling an RFC in CRM) - then i'll receive the response of interface mapping and send it back to the customer.
    Step 2 :The SOAP request which i have received in the first place is to be written as a flat/xml file onto a directory for backup purpose
    Step 3: there will be a separate process where the response of rfc will be fed to an IDOC request structure and send to R/3 as a dashboard IDOC.
    All this is done without BPM.
    So my first problem is "how to write an incoming SOAP request to a file without using BPM?? "
    Second I knw that interface mapping can be directly added in Integration directory's Interface determination by making the property as enhanced but "In the Sender Service i write the Business system which contains soap comm channel and in the interface i write the outbound synchronous interface which is the SOAP outbound that hits the xi for the first time But i am not sure what service do i write in the receiver section as Interface mapping is in XI only....theres no other business system or communication channel involved in between."
    I really need help...plz help me

    Yes abhishek
    Client dont want BPM involved as it makes the process really slow
    First of all i wanna knw how to use enhanced option in an interface determination....in the ID
    as i am trying  to load my interface mapping but it says no object found
    I am giving you the structure of interface mapping
    MI_OB_SAX_MAP (outbound async source interface of interface mapping )
    MI_IB_SAX_MAP (inbound async target interface of interface mapping)
    MT_OB_SAX_MAP  (source message)
    JavaClass - test_java/sax_map (Java mapping program)
    MT_IB_SAX_MAP (target message
    Now when i am trying to configure this in ID
    BS__ (Sender business system)
    MI_OS_TEST_JAVAMAP (sender SOAP interface)
    But i dnt what receiver business system should i select in receiver service ??
    as the java mapping is calling RFC inside the code...so no other business system involved
    i m stuck.....if u could plz have a look into it

  • How to PI call R/3 RFC without BPM.

    Hi Expert.
    Why PI direct call RFC probably is not a possibility of doing without BPM.
    It makes RFC of separate way, it calling it is made Report program where there is a possibility of doing.
    Different adapter where it becomes direct call, RFC piece bay occupational calling there probably is not a possibility of doing.

    Krishna Moorthy P, Thank you so much your answer.
    I add question.
    My scenario is very simple.
    Case 1. File to RFC to JDBC Scenario. (Sync)
               Using BPM. PI call File adatper, and PI call RFC Function, and RFC return data send to PI to JDBC.
    Case 2. QRFC to JDBC Scenario.(Async)
                Using se37 for back job. So, Back job Function send to PI to JDBC.
    In this two case, to what kind of is the efficiency better.
    <b>I think that case 2 is performance better case1.</b>
    It isn't like that? Krishna Moorthy P
    I wating for your answer.

  • How to handle system exception in Sync communication without BPM? Help!

    Hi Experts
       I have a Synchronous scenario in XI: webservice <------>RFC SAP R/3.
      Webservice is making a sync call to RFC FM in SAP R/3 system.
       I want to handle system exception when SAP R/3 is down and send an email alert.
       Can I achieve this in graphical mapping without BPM? How? Kindly provide necessary steps/screenshots for the same.
       Are there any other alternatives for handling system exception apart from mapping and BPM?
    Thanks
    Gopal

    Hi GopalKirshna,
          Yes,You can handle the Exception if at all you are using the RFC.You can achieve this without using BPM.
       Using Fault message you can catch the System Exception and even the primary role for Fault Message is to catch the RFC Exceptions.
       Please refer the Fault messages Notes to achieve this you will understand better.
    Hope I am clear.
    Please let me if you have any more queries regarding this..!
    Thanks and Rewards,
    Chandu.

  • Messages interfaces doubt in Webservices and BPM design

    i have a requirement where SAP sends data to some web application.. so we are going to use Proxy to webservices.. in this we are also using BPM.
    SAP sends the data to PI ..in PI BPM triggers it will check some login credintials with webserices application and response will be sent back to PI .. in PI it will have to append the login session id with SAP data and then finally PI pushes the data to target system(web application).
    SAP--SAP-PI (BPM)web services.
      1. SAP sends data to PI
      2. PI checks the login credentials with webservices
      3.Sen back the session id
      4. session id appended to SAP data
      5. Final data will be sent to webapplications
    So how many msg interfaces that i need to create.?
      1 DATAfrom SAP_Outbound (Asyn) ---
      2. Data from SAP_Abstarct(Asyn)_BPM
      3. Data webapplication to SAP- (abstarct )-Sync   ( which gets the session id)
      3. FinalDatato Webapplication(Asyn)-Abstract
    Please correct me if i'm wrong...
    Regads,
    Deeps

    Hi Shabarish,
      Proxy call is Async
    Prateek,
       can we make it with SOAP lookup? which one is best the option BPM or SOAP lookup..
       i hope it is always good to have a interface without BPM right ?
      Can you tell me how to approach SOAP lookup.. ?

  • Suggestion required for with or without BPM

    I have a requirement IDOC-XI-SOAP.
    I am using multimapping 1:N  one idoc gets spilt into say three wsdl, A B and C.
    My first requirement is if A fails then B and C should not be sent.
    If I use only EOIO without BPM then I will need to identify B and C for the corresponding A in the queue and remove it.
    That looks tedious as sometimes B and C may not be there for A and is there any way to identify the related messages?
    This can be achieved through BPM I believe.
    My second requirement is IDOC2 should not be processed before IDOC1.
    So If I used BPM will this be guaranteed? is BPM EOIO. (Even after transformation step?) If not then can it be configured?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all,
    Just bringing this topic up again as I have stuck at one place. and found not much help on SDN.
    I have designed this requirement using BPM.
    That is IDOC-BPM-SOAP.
    Within BPM I make a synchronous call to Webservice. if there is a fault exception thrown the BPM workflow stops at that point and no further process steps are carried out. This is working fine as per the requirement.
    But this does not get blocked up in the BPM queue. I want to stop the next IDOC from processing before handling the prviously errored IDOC scenario.
    Now I briefly understand that since BPM is doing a sync call these are not placed in the queue. Is there a way I can handle this so that these interfaces are placed in the BPM queue (which starts with XBQO$PE_WS.....).
    I have tried with exception branch, even this stops the BPM workflow but does not block the queue, or the workflow gets processed successfully.
    Is there anyway I can block the queue if the BPM synch call fails?

  • Determinations for a szenario without BPM

    Hi,
    if I would like to create a WebService -> XI -> DB szenario
    without BPM, how often I have to use the wizard (for agreements
    and determinations)?
    Normally with BPM, I needed three:
    1) Webserivce BS to XI
    2) XI to DB
    3) XI to WebSerivice
    But without BPM I thought I need just one wizard walkthrough:
    1) sync. Webservice to sync. DB call
    But I received the following error:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

  • Calling webservice in udf for inserting data into webservice

    Dear Experts,
          Please give me the drawbacks of using lookup function for inserting data. we are calling a webservice from the udf for inserting the data using a webservice.
    It is a file to jdbc usnig a soap lookup . we use this approach because we need to pass the response from webservice along with the error data to the jdbc.   is there any other way to do it without using bpm ?
        In the udf we are creating the xml structure for webservice and passing the parameters through arguments.
    is there a better approach for this ?
    Thanks,
    Aju

    Hi Aju,
    You can do it without BPM.
    Write UDF for Soap Lookup. Parse the response message from Webservice.  and map the required values to respective fields.
    See the weblog
    Webservice Calls From a User Defined Function.
    Negative point of this solution is that it will take some time to call Webservice and get response back from it.

  • Error while calling WebService inside ISchedulerTask.

    Hi,
    Env: NW 2004s
      I have a requirement of calling webservice frequently. I developed a portal project with scheduler, where the application gives a runtime error while calling/reading the property file (which is generated during the webservice proxy generation, without it webservice call is impossible).
    I have varified the ear file which contains all the required class files and config files including property file.
    fyi:
    portalapp.xml file looks like this.
    +
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <application>
      <application-config>
        <property name="SharingReference" value="usermanagement, knowledgemanagement, landscape, htmlb, exportalJCOclient, exportal"/>
      </application-config>

            <property name="startup" value="true"/>
          </service-config>
        </service>
      </services>
    </application>

    Any input will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Message Split -- File to Idoc Scenario  -  ( Without BPM )

    I have multiple records coming to XI in a File and I have to create Multiple Idocs to R/3.
    Due to Complexity of mapping I'm splitting Maaping step into 2 message Mappings.
    A-->B
    B-->C
    In the 2nd Mapping step  I'm doing message Split meaning for each Source record I'm creating multiple Idocs ( To be precise each record on the source becomes 4 idocs in the Target.
    2nd Mapping step is as follows
    Source 1..1
      Sourcerecord 0.. Unbounded
        field1  0..1
        field2  0..1
        filed3  0..1
    Target
    Message 1
        Idoc   1.. Unbounded
          Idoc Structure..
    Message 2
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    Message 3
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    Message 4
          Idoc   1.. Unbounded
    So based on some criteria each record of Source will be mapped to 4 Messages (  1 each under each Message )
    Is it possible to do this without BPM?. Iam sending all these Idocs to same R/3 System.
    Thanks for any help..RK

    Hi,
    See the blog
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/04/xi-idoc-bundling--the-trick-with-the-occurance-change
    <i>Basicly we have 2 ways of handling such scenarios:
    - we can use a block step and send multiple IDOCs from our BPM
    - we can also do a little trick and send multiple IDOCs from the XI without a BPM
    The first approach is a standard XI approach. It involves the use of a BPM
    so the speed of this transfer many not be very good in case you'd like to send
    hundreds or thousands of IDOCs in just one call.
    The second approach uses a little trick that was mentioned several times
    on the XI Froum by a number of XI developers but is still not very clear to the XI newbies.
    It allows us to send multiple IDOCs without the use of a BPM. Most probably this will be your choice
    if you'd like to use such 1:N (IDOCs) scenarios effectively.</i>

  • Idoc to soap sync without bpm. is it possible? Helping me..

    Hi Experts,
    i have a small clarification Idoc to soap sync interface in sap pi 7.0. i created IDoc to Soap sync using BPM but some times the signals are stuck due to load issue in swpr, while reprocess those signals all going successfully to the receiver. So We are trying to eliminate BPM.
    I just wanted to know Idoc to Soap sync scenario without BPM is possible or not in SAP PI 7.0?
    if it is possible kindly send me the links
    Regards,
    Kiran polani

    Hi Kiran,
    Could you please let us know the exact requirement. How do you want to send the response back to IDOC?
    ASync - Sync Bridge with IDOC sender is not possible in PI 7.0.
    If It is something like IDOC --> SOAP --> IDOC , And If the SOAP request is small then you can use SOAP Lookup in IDOC to IDOC Scenario.
    In The mapping You can do a lookup and get the response from SOAP(Webservice) and map that to your Target IDOC.
    This is one possible way for you without BPM in PI7.0.
    Please let me know if you need more details about this.
    Thanks

  • How to call WebService in ALBPM WorkFlow

    Hi,
    I want to call one webservice in ALBPM. My requirements are to integrate it with other system like ALSB/OSB using Webservice & to expose OBPM as webservice , so that some other system can consume it. I have some queries regarding webservices.
    1.)     I have built one web service, I need to call it in BPM process. For that I called the WSDL in Catalog-> Module-> webservices. By that, wsdl & xmls are imported in catalog. But Im struck in how to call the webservice operation in BPM activities. How to make soap request in BPM flow, in order to hit this webservice.
