Determinations for a szenario without BPM

Hi,
if I would like to create a WebService -> XI -> DB szenario
without BPM, how often I have to use the wizard (for agreements
and determinations)?
Normally with BPM, I needed three:
1) Webserivce BS to XI
2) XI to DB
3) XI to WebSerivice
But without BPM I thought I need just one wizard walkthrough:
1) sync. Webservice to sync. DB call
But I received the following error:
  <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
- <!--  Receiver Identification
  -->
- <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">

  <SAP:AdditionalText />
  <SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
  <SAP:Stack>No receiver could be determined</SAP:Stack>
  <SAP:Retry>N</SAP:Retry>
  </SAP:Error>
So it seems something missing...
Any ideas?
Thanks

chris

  • Suggestion required for with or without BPM

    I have a requirement IDOC-XI-SOAP.
    I am using multimapping 1:N  one idoc gets spilt into say three wsdl, A B and C.
    My first requirement is if A fails then B and C should not be sent.
    If I use only EOIO without BPM then I will need to identify B and C for the corresponding A in the queue and remove it.
    That looks tedious as sometimes B and C may not be there for A and is there any way to identify the related messages?
    This can be achieved through BPM I believe.
    My second requirement is IDOC2 should not be processed before IDOC1.
    So If I used BPM will this be guaranteed? is BPM EOIO. (Even after transformation step?) If not then can it be configured?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all,
    Just bringing this topic up again as I have stuck at one place. and found not much help on SDN.
    I have designed this requirement using BPM.
    That is IDOC-BPM-SOAP.
    Within BPM I make a synchronous call to Webservice. if there is a fault exception thrown the BPM workflow stops at that point and no further process steps are carried out. This is working fine as per the requirement.
    But this does not get blocked up in the BPM queue. I want to stop the next IDOC from processing before handling the prviously errored IDOC scenario.
    Now I briefly understand that since BPM is doing a sync call these are not placed in the queue. Is there a way I can handle this so that these interfaces are placed in the BPM queue (which starts with XBQO$PE_WS.....).
    I have tried with exception branch, even this stops the BPM workflow but does not block the queue, or the workflow gets processed successfully.
    Is there anyway I can block the queue if the BPM synch call fails?

  • Can we capture HTTP response for async message without BPM?

    We are in the process of migrating an XI 2.0 scenario to XI 3.0.
    The scenario is as follows in XI 2.0 - SAP sends an IDoc to XI which is mapped to an HTTP request and sent to an endpoint.  The HTTP response is captured and shown in SXMB_MONI.
    When we migrate this scenario to XI 3.0, we do not see the HTTP response in MONI.  It looks like since the incoming message (IDoc) is triggering an asynchronous message flow, the HTTP receiver is ignoring the HTTP response payload if it sees a 200 OK status code.  Ideally, we would like for the HTTP response to be captured in MONI just as in XI 2.0.
    Is there a way to capture the HTTP response without using a BPM to make the HTTP synchronous call?  It appears that there is nothing in the HTTP receiver communication channel that we can change (to change it from asynchronous to synchronous).
    Thanks for your help,

    It looks like the problem I am having might be due to a bug in SP15.  It looks like i should see the HTTP response in MONI by default.  Some other people had this problem with SP 15.  Here is the posting:

  • Interface Determination for source file without namespace definition

    Hi,
    I have the following problem:
    I am developing a file to IDoc scenario in AEX 7.31. All design objects in ESR and configuration objects in ID are created and the sender communication channel is running. Now I got a test file. It starts directly with the data elements but does not contain the root element as defined in my data type. To make it clear:
    Data Type in ESR:
    DT_DatatypeA
    -- Record [1..unbounded]
    ---- Field1
    ---- Field2
    The File looks as follows (it lacks the root element 'DT_Datatype_A'):
    <Record>
      <Field1>...</Field1>
      <Field2>...</Field2>
    </Record>
    <Record>
      <Field1>...</Field1>
      <Field2>...</Field2>
    </Record>
    When I try to send it via PI I get the following error:
    When I add the XML root element <ns0:DT_DatatypeA ns="..."> manually to the file (and the corresponding end tag), the message is processed correctly.
    How can I solve this issue? The file is created by a legacy system which does not know anything about my PI namespaces.
    Thanks in advance!

    i am bit confused here.
    how does your input look like? i.e when sender generates the files..
    is that like below xml?
    <Record>
      <Field1>...</Field1>
      <Field2>...</Field2>
    </Record>
    <Record>
      <Field1>...</Field1>
      <Field2>...</Field2>
    </Record>
    or
    is it a flat file? and you use FCC in the sender adapter to convert it into xml?
    Field1,Field2
    Field1,Field2

    Refer to

    initially this also talk about BPM but you can check whether you can use the container variable in you case.
    How to define the container variable in ALRTCATDEF is mention in above link.

  • Async-Sync Bridge without BPM for SOAP WS and JDBC

    I heard you can now have async-sync communication outside of BPM by utilizing adapter modules?
    My scenarios are:

  • 1:N mapping without BPM ( Idoc Receiver)

    Hi,
    I have a scenario like 1:N, source would be JMS and the receiver side have two Idocs with the same business system. based on one Item segment value, I need to route the input JMS message to corresponding receiver IDoc.
    INput Structure:
    Record
    Header 1..1
    H1
    H2
    H3
    Item 1..Unbounded
    I1
    I2
    I3
    NOte: Based on value I2, I need to route the message to corresponding receiver Idoc. like If I2=A then Idoc1 and I2=B then Idoc2. Can we achieve the same without using BPM?
    -Esha

    Hi,
    This can be achieved with Interface Determination conditions. Go for 2 mapping. And in Interface Determination put condition to check which mapping to use. No need of ccBPM.
    If you still want to go for 1:N multimapping please refer link:

  • How to call multiple request to CRM and R/3 without BPM

    Hi all
    I have a scenario where a SOAP request will come to XI via webservice
    I then have to call an interface mapping which has Java mapping in it(the java code is basically calling an RFC in CRM) - then i'll receive the response of interface mapping and send it back to the customer.
    Step 2 :The SOAP request which i have received in the first place is to be written as a flat/xml file onto a directory for backup purpose
    Step 3: there will be a separate process where the response of rfc will be fed to an IDOC request structure and send to R/3 as a dashboard IDOC.
    All this is done without BPM.
    So my first problem is "how to write an incoming SOAP request to a file without using BPM?? "
    Second I knw that interface mapping can be directly added in Integration directory's Interface determination by making the property as enhanced but "In the Sender Service i write the Business system which contains soap comm channel and in the interface i write the outbound synchronous interface which is the SOAP outbound that hits the xi for the first time But i am not sure what service do i write in the receiver section as Interface mapping is in XI only....theres no other business system or communication channel involved in between."
    I really need help...plz help me

    Yes abhishek
    Client dont want BPM involved as it makes the process really slow
    First of all i wanna knw how to use enhanced option in an interface determination....in the ID
    as i am trying  to load my interface mapping but it says no object found
    I am giving you the structure of interface mapping
    MI_OB_SAX_MAP (outbound async source interface of interface mapping )
    MI_IB_SAX_MAP (inbound async target interface of interface mapping)
    MT_OB_SAX_MAP  (source message)
    JavaClass - test_java/sax_map (Java mapping program)
    MT_IB_SAX_MAP (target message
    Now when i am trying to configure this in ID
    BS__ (Sender business system)
    MI_OS_TEST_JAVAMAP (sender SOAP interface)
    But i dnt what receiver business system should i select in receiver service ??
    as the java mapping is calling RFC inside the code...so no other business system involved
    i m stuck.....if u could plz have a look into it

  • Error in Multi-mapping without BPM

    Hi frnds,
    I am doing a scenario File-XI-File. I am using the multi-splitting thing in the Message mapping. I have taken care of all the occurance's and "enhanced" thing in the IR and ID resp. I m using SP16. I want to avoid BPM.
    But therez sme error cming up. When I check the MONI, its shwing "No messages created from split mapping" and when I test my interface using the Test Configuration in the ID, its shwing error in the Receiver Determination -- "HTTP connection to ABAP Runtime failed. Error: 403 Forbidden"
    I have checked most of the blogs and forum suggestions. I have checked the ICF activations as well ...
    So, do come back to me with your valuable suggestions, and I will award them points, if they really help me out.
    Thanks and regards.
    Neetesh

    Hi Neetesh,
    <i>
    When I check the MONI, its shwing "No messages created from split mapping"</i>
    For this, Can you check the source XML. Does it contain Tags like <messages> .. If yes, you need to remove them from your source XML.
    If i am right, you have copied the XML from the TEST tab of the message mapping and pasted it in a notepad and saved it without making any changes at all..... Just do as i have mentioned above and i am sure you will no more get that error message in your MONI....
    Also go through this weblog which talks about multi-mapping without BPM,

  • 1:2 Message Mapping WithOut BPM - Split mapping created no messages Error

    Hi,
    I am a new-bie to SAP PI and am trying out the following scenario without BPM.
    Make multiple files based on Age received from input file.Input File contains Name,DOB and Output File contains Name, Age.
    I want to create 2 files, one containing details of people with Age <21 and the other output file containing details of people with Age >= 21.
    To acheive this,
    In IR, I created 2 DT and 3 MT,1 MM with 2 Target MT,both having occurences 0..unbounded, 1 IM with 2 Target MI,both having occurences 0..unbounded
    And in ID, 1 Sender Agreement, 2 Receiver Agreement, 1 Receiver Determination, 1 Interface Determination using Enhanced Interface Determination.
    When i run this scenario, I am getting the following error "Split mapping created no messages"
    Please let me know how can I resolve it.

    Oops, I did not know that.
    Thanks for that information. uhuuuuuuuuuuu, atlast the message is processed and I am seeing output files created.
    But, there is still one problem. My output files are created with just the following content
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
      <ns1:MT_2OP_File_Out xmlns:ns1="http://POC_Sec1_1IP2OP2" />
    In MM, I see the output message as follows:
    Message
         Message1
             MT_2OP_File_Out
                  Employee
                      Name
                      Age
         Message2
             MT_2OP_File_Out1
                  Employee1
                      Name
                      Age
    The mapping done:
    MT_2OP_File_Out and MT_2OP_File_Out with the Message Type element on source end.
    Employee and Employee1 are mapped as
         Age -> removeContext -> SplitByValue[Each Value] < 21, Map Employee
         Age -> removeContext -> SplitByValue[Each Value] >= 21, Map Employee1 resp
    The fields are straight maps.
    Is there any basic mapping error that I am making. Please help.

  • Sync/Async JMS without BPM - No receiver specified in message object

    Hi All,
    My scenario is Proxy - JMS - Proxy.  I have chosen to do this without BPM and had followed closely to the instructions given in various help documents/blog/forum threads.  During testing, the proxy returns a system fault 'No receiver specified in message object'.  In RWB it indicates that the correlation is correct and the JMS Receiver adapter is getting the response, below is part of the audit log:
    2009-08-03 18:12:32 Information WRB: retrieving the message for de80831d-97f5-08f1-bdaf-00145e6883af ...
    2009-08-03 18:12:33 Information WRB: retrieved the message: ApplicationResponse
    2009-08-03 18:12:33 Information WRB: leaving WaitResponseBean
    2009-08-03 18:12:33 Information MP: leaving
    2009-08-03 18:12:33 Information The message was successfully delivered to the application using connection JMS_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System.
    2009-08-03 18:12:33 Information The message status was set to DLVD.
    When I check SXMB_MONI in XI-ABAP, I see 2 messages with status 'System Error - Restart not possible' and 1 with status 'Log Version'.  The message with status 'Log Version' is the respond.  The other 2 messages has the following error:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>
    - <!--  Request Message Mapping
      -->
    - <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
      <SAP:Code area="MAPPING">NO_RECEIVER</SAP:Code>
      <SAP:P1 />
      <SAP:P2 />
      <SAP:P3 />
      <SAP:P4 />
      <SAP:AdditionalText />
      <SAP:Stack>No receiver specified in message object</SAP:Stack>
      <SAP:Retry>N</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>
    It seem to me that the system does not know where to go/what to do next after returning to the JMS Receiver adapter.  I am at a lost what could have gone wrong.  Here is how I've done my configuration.
    Repository
    - Sync Sender Interface for R/3 Backend
    - Sync Receiver Interface for MQ
    - Async Sender Interface for the reply
    Directory
    - 1 CC for JMS Recevier
    - 1 CC for JMS Sender (for the respond)
    - 1 CC for Proxy Sender
    - 1 Interface Determination
    - 1 Receiver Determination
    - 1 Receiver Agreement for JMS Receiver
    - 1 Sender Agreement for the reply
    Any help is appreciated.  Thanks.

    Hi Prateek,
    This is what was tried in my first case. I did exactly what was given in that link.But since the Message id being 32 bytes and length of correlation id is 24 bytes id is getting truncated.
    So its not working fine.
    @ke i am having a look at the note will update you on this
    Thanks for your response

  • Multi Message Mapping without BPM: Limitaions

    Hi Crew,
    I have done this one(without BPM)
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3115. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
    I understood that there cannot be multiple receiver services.
    This message splitting can be done only with one sender and one receiver business services (with many communication channels) without BPM.
    Am I right?
    Are there anymore limitations than this?
    Regards,
    Karthik kaveriselvan.

    <i>select multiple receivers using the + button.</i>
    one sender service.
    two receiver service referring to one target interface each with one communicaiton channel each.
    Two interface determination for two business services and they both are refering to the same enhanced interface mapping.
    Created receiver determination and added the two receiver service to it, but when looking at the configuration overview for receiver determinaiton, for each service, both the target interfaces used in interface mapping are listed and the reciever determination shows "Does not exist".
    When I run the scenario, I get "No receiver agreement found" error.
    Please calrify how many receiver agreements have to be configured and how?
    Thanks

  • The N:M message spliting without BPM in PI7.1   ???

    Hi,experts
    I'm doing an scenario which implements the N:M messages split without BPM...
    The data type structure as below:
    ================================
    SOURCE_TEST
        A                             0...1
        B                             0...1
        C                             0...1
        D                             0...1
        E                             0...1
    ================================
    TARGET1_TEST
        F                             0...1
        G                            0...1
    ================================
    TARGET2_TEST
        H                            0...1
        I                              0...1
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    Now i want to split msgs and do the mapping as A-->F,B--->G and D>H,E--
    >I which depends on the C value,,
    for instance,if C="1" then generate TARGET1_TEST,if C="2" then generate TARGET2_TEST
    and i changed the signature tab,set the occurence of SOURCE_TEST 0....unbounded,
    added the two target msg type into the Target messages and also set the occurence of them 0...unbounded.
    Then did the mapping(the mapping implemented no problem,it's sure)
    after did the operation mapping,do the ID objects as below:
    one sender bussiness component,one sender communication channel,one interface determination,one receiver determination,one send agreement,one receive business component,two receiver communication channel,two receiver agreements
    the issue now is when i do the " test configuration" in ID,it pops up "Runtime error  Split mapping created no messages"
    but i go to check the operation mapping and cannot find any issue in it coz it's as fine as message mapping
    could anybody shed some lights on it?
    Thanks in adv.
    Regards.

    oh....is it really we cannot implement it without BPM or just you havn't do that?i just saw a blog written about 1:N without BPM and it's said we can do N:M similarly,so i want to have a try,now it pops up the errors as below:

  • Async-Sync-Async Bridge Without BPM

    HI Folks,
    I have a requirement as
    u201CAn Asynchronous SOAP request is triggered to PI and then should get records from a (JDBC)database and write the result to a fileu201D
    It is of Aync-Sync-Async Bridge and i have to do without BPM
    I know by using some module parameters at sender communication channel we can do this.
    But my query
    1)Is that for SOAP sender communication channel can we provide the same module parameters
    Number - ModuleName - Type - ModuleKey
    1- AF_Modules/RequestResponseBean - Local Enterprise Bean - 1
    2- CallSapAdapter-Local Enterprise Bean - 2
    3-AF_Modules/ResponseOnewayBean-3
    Parameters
    ModuleKey - ParameterName - ParameterValue
    1 - passThrough - true
    3-receiverChannel - Receiver File Adapter Name
    3-receiverService - Receiver Business Service/ System
    2) Does the SOAP support the without BPM scenarios
    3)Scenario is like Soap --> JDBC -->File (Async - Sync - Async) and how abt for Soap --> RFC -->File (Async - Sync - Async)
    Thanks in Advance
    Lemon

    For your requirement , you can handle this scenario without BPM in two ways.
    1) Async sync bridge without BPM.   You are going to use request response bean and one way response bean module to achieve this. very simple. See this [link|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/XI/File-RFC-File(Without%20BPM)]
    In the sender SOAP channel you have to configure first request response bean, second callsapadapter and third onewayresponse bean. Refer this link. Simply follow file sender configuration for your soap sender or RFC sender.
    Note: one receiver agreement , one receiver determination, one interface determination. only two receiver channels one jdbc and one file.
    2) You can create SOAP  to File asynchronous.  Using quality of service  EO and creating service interface asynchronous mode.   In the mapping area do JDBC lookup.  If your version is 7.1 then this lookup is available. This is pretty simple no need to do async to sync pattern.
    Hope that helps.
