Called 4 times to pay cancel contract and pay final bill still not received the bill !
I have called on the 19/08/2013 to cancel the contract and the operator told me they would put me through to the cancellations team and they would send me a final bill.
After a month of no bill I called again 19/09/2013 and the same thing happened however I was told I would have to pay £43.00 approx plus vat which I was happy to pay but still haven't received a bill.
Called again on 8/11/2013 605399608 convo reference because I haven't received the bill the same thing was confirmed regarding the £43 plus vat.
On the 11/11/2013 I received a bill for £163.67 I moved out of the premises mid August so I haven't even used the phone.
All I want to do is pay the bill of £43.00 plus vat and not have to chase BT to PAY THEM.
I would be extremely grateful if someone could sort this out for me because it's beyond a joke.
Best Regards ,
Max Cundy

You setup the backup from the Time Machine, ie the software in the computer. It is as simple as clicking the icon and selecting the Time Capsule as the backup location. Remember the software is time machine.. the hardware is time capsule. So if the TC is running as a router it is fully accessible by the network and the hard disk will present to the Mac as a network drive. You can then just choose it in TM.
Pondini has given lots of notes about it.

  • Time Capsule - Internet and Printer Fine - Disk Not Available

I have a 1 TB Time Capsule with an external drive and printer connected to it. Internet access works fine as does the printer. From time to time, I cannot connect to the Time Capsule disk or the external disk. I also cannot connect to the time capsule itself using the Airport Utility. If I unplug and restart the Time Capsule, everything is accessible and works fine. Then, a day or two later, I cannot connect.
    Any ideas welcome!
    Thanks... JRMjr

I have consistantly had this problem.
Time Machine could not complete the backup.
The backup disk could not be found.
Make sure the backup disk is connected or open the Time Machine preferences to select a different backup disk.
If I unplug it and plug it back in it will probably work, although I have had to totally start from scratch a couple times to get it working.
Is this a DHCP issue or how can I avoid this in the future?
    Thanks,

  • Delivery date changed 4 times-called to ask what is going on and then best buy cancelled order

I ordered a 55 inch aquos  with free ROKU stick for $599.00 on Sept. 22   (removed per forum guidlelines) and got a confirmed delivery of Sept. 26.  Unfortunately, I received a call in the morning of the Sept. 26 and was told that delivery was pushed to Tues, Sept. 30.
On Monday, Sept. 29, I received an automated call informing me that the Tv will be delivered on Sept. 30 between 3:30 and 5:30. and I also received an email with the same information. Thirty minutes later I received another email stating that the delivery is again being pushed to Oct. 13. so I called customer service. I was told he can change the delivery date to Oct. 3 but call in the morning to confirm availability with warehouse.I called customer service on Sept. 30 to confirm availability and was assured that the Tv will be delivered on Oct. 3.
On Thursday Oct. 2nd, I received another email stating the order will not be delivered until Oct. 16. I remained calm and called customer service and after a very long hold time I was able to speak with a representative and again after a long hold to check what is going on, she informed me that the order is now cancelled since the item is  discontinued. I told the representative that I already lost 3 days of work due to the delivery dates changing and since the TV has to be accepted by somebody 18 years or older I needed to be home. I asked if it is unreasonable to ask for the same exact TV but 1 size bigger since the 60 inch is available and in stock (but without the ROKU stick) but unfortunately I was told it is not possible. I asked to speak with a supervisor but they are all busy but she asked for my phone number so they can call me back in 20 min.. I waited but did not get a back from the supervisor the same day.
I called again today,  Friday, Oct. 3 and I was assisted by a nice lady who after explaining my situation was sincere with her apology. She told me that she will call me back so she can speak with a supervisor about my situation. I asked her too if it is unreasonable to ask for the same exact TV but next size bigger since the one I was sold is no longer available and I lost 3 days of work due to the 3 changes in delivery dates. She affirmed that it is fair but have no authority to make decissions but will relay the history of the order to her superior so they can make a proper resolution.
After about 15 minutes I got a call  back and was told that since the bigger TV is priced at 799.00 they will give me a 50.00 dsicount for the trouble. I declined the offer since I feel that  $50.00 dollars for getting the run around and missing 3 days of work is not proper compensation and is an insult to any customer. I thanked her for trying and informed her that I am aware that it is not her fault and it is management who made this decission.
I sincerely feel  that I should have been given the next size TV for the same price of my original purchase and I should have been given a ROKU stick (which I did not ask for) for my unpleasant experience.
We are  $150.00 apart from getting a resolution but management feels like it is the right thing to do for cases like these. Being a best buy customer for many years, spending many thousand of dollars,  I am  puzzled why best buy would treat any customer the way they treated me. Please explain the policy so I can have a better understanding. The $150.00 difference can easily be recopued from my next purchase. In my opinion, it is not a very smart business practice to lose a customer this way. Again, please explain the policy to me so I can understand better.

    Hello romcarlos1,
While unforeseen complications can cause unexpected delays, it seems something went wrong at every turn. Misinformation and multiple missed appointments would frustrate me too, and I can only imagine this frustration turned into aggravation with the poor service you describe. After pulling up your account, I noticed that has been two weeks since your TV purchase, and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. I appreciate you allowing me the opportunity to explain what should have happened.
When your delivery day arrives, you should receive a call from us to narrow down the time frame to a 4-hour window.  This is done because our delivery agent’s schedule isn’t fully determined until the day of service as our customer’s needs may change prior to the delivery date. These routes are then best optimized to fit the appointments scheduled for the day. The particular television you wished to purchase is quite popular, however, and due to high demand, it’s currently on backorder in some areas of the country.  This may explain why your delivery date was continuously pushed back unexpectedly, and why we needed to reschedule multiple times.
While in backordered status, however, an online order may be cancelled if you don’t wish to wait any longer and a different model may be purchase. Upon review of your order, I noticed that it was canceled upon your request. If you have since changed your mind and wish to wait for one to arrive, you may place a new order here.
It sounds like you wish to purchase a new TV entirely though, so I understand if you don’t wish to attempt a new order. While I cannot guarantee you a different outcome than the resolution already offered, I’d be glad to look into your case to see what other options may be available. Please know I have sent you a private message to collect further information from you. • Canceling service due to breach in contract and avoiding ETF

I have had Verizon Service since I first had a cell phone..about 20 years, now. Even though I have been frustrated, at times that there is no mechanism in the phone to let you know you are about to exceed your allotment of minutes and then having really hefty bills to pay, I've never had problems/issues until now...starting in May. Since I renewed my contact with Verizon and got an "upgrade", which was really a "downgrade" because I didn't want a smart phone and the Dare was no longer available, I have had major problems. I first got the KIN 2. The phone didn't work properly since I first got it. I placed numerous calls to Verizon about it. Then one day the phone acted like it was just turned on for the first time andit lost all of the contacts I had for the past 20 yrs. Because there was no back up assistant for it there was nothing I could do..some were very important family contacts that I cannot get unless they call me. The phone got worse and worse. After many calls, as I said, it was returned (after being given a really hard time and calling a lot) They tried to sell me the same phone but I was finally able to change it to an LG cosmos touch. They ended up sending a new Kin2 and the LG cosmos back and battery. Then  I called again and shipped it back and received the cosmos. It, too had problems from the start..many dropped calls, froze up to six times a day, alarm going off until it the battery died -unable to turn it off, and most importantly, it lost voicemails that were very important (such as lawyer calls, etc..). The battery wouldn't hold a charge. Both phones had numerous severe issues. When I took the LG to the store, they couldn't get it to do anything. At this point I had spent an enormous amount of personall time calling them and getting nowhere, getting so frustrated having to re-trll the story so many times.. I sent the LG back and was hesitant to even try another phone from Verizon. They sent another LG Cosmos. I have had it for about two and a half weeks and it has frozen once..which scares me. My account is past due but I wanted to be compensated for all the personal time, frustration, inept customer service, etc. I have had horribly unreliable phone service since May!. I called and spoke with customer service, told my lengthy story and asked to be compensated for all the trouble (especially the loss of contacts and lack of service) They said they would give me 59 dollars for my trouble if I upgraded to unlimited. UGH!! I then said that Verizon had a breach of contract by not providing me the service I was paying for. The guy insisted that I would be charged an ETF if I cancelled because I had an overage last month. I asked to speak to his supervisor. He said he'd call me the next day. Instead they turned off my service because my acct was past due and added a $15 late fee. I want to cancel for Verizon now. I am so angry. It IS a breach of contract,  righ? Terrible terrible service..never a problem before and I signed on for another two years when there are far cheaper phones out there because I was loyal to them.. I should add thatI have to have a reliable phone as I am a single parent of a child who is asthmatic. Please advise..I do appologize for this being so lengthy..my first post.. Verizon is about to lose a very loyal customer. I am so disappointed that at this point I would hire a lawyer if they refused to let me out without an ETF.

If you were running Backup Assistant on the phones you had before the Kin, your contacts weren't lost, they simply weren't easy to transfer to the Kin. Anyone who runs Backup Assistant can view their contacts at verizonwireless.com/backupassistant. Also, if you've read the contract fully, you'd know it says that there's no guarantee of coverage everywhere, just that if you do have dropped calls you can get an airtime credit or if there's a definite service outage, they will compensate you for that period. Neither of which apply here. And if you're so late that your service is getting interrupted, it really doesn't look good for you. Verizon will work with you on payment arrangements if you're that late, but you have to call in to tell them what's going on.
{please keep your posts courteous} A simple search on ANY internet search engine reveals a vast number of complaints about Backup Assistant not working properly; both the online version and on the phones.
My son went from a Samsung Omnia to a HTC Incredible and it took my persistently calling and emailing Verizon to finally get it too work on the Android phone and be able to sync with the online information. I finally had to send screen shots because much like you every Verizon Rep assumed they knew exactly what my experience with their piece of crap software had been and kept telling me that what I was describing wasn't possible because Backup Assistant "isn't available on the Samsung Omnia".  However, Backup Assistant indeed existed PRIOR to the release of the first Android phone on Verizon; back when they had more Windows Mobile phones and catered to business users. After Android was a runaway hit and demand soared, Verizon changed the software to meet the new demand.
    {please keep your posts courteous}
Your statement "if you've read the contract fully, you'd know it says that there's no guarantee of coverage everywhere, just that if you do have dropped calls you can get an airtime credit or if there's a definite service outage, they will compensate you for that period. Neither of which apply here"{please keep your posts courteous}Additionally, how do YOU know whether or not there was a service outtage in someone else's area?!
If YOU had read the OP's post carefully then YOU would have caught on to the part of the post that states the bill is past due to try and get compensation for horrible service, customer service, and all of the trouble these non-working phones have caused.
FYI: Verizon's failure to provide a phone that actually works as it is described can and should be deemed a breach of the contract on Verizon's part (from someone who DOES know something about contract law.
And another thing, missing a call from one lawyer does not mean  that particular lawyer is certified in or specializes in consumer law. Yes, it is INDEED possible to have one type of an attorney working on one issue and then need to hire a DIFFERENT attorney to handle another type of issue.

  • Question regarding cancelation of wireless contract and signing a new one

Hi,  I have a question regarding my contract. My Cell was stolen 2 days ago ( Iphone 5)  had it for about year and 2 months. now I have a dilemma when it comes on getting a new device. the rep told me she can offer me some S... phones for over $200 as a replacement or I to look up Amazon; Ebay and craiglist. I also don't want to pay a retail price for a brand new device. So I was thinking of cancelation of this contract paying the fee and signing up a new contract with a new device like Iphone 5s or Samsung Galaxy. My question is, are there any waiting periods for doing such a thing, or I could do it at the same time, ditch old contract and sign for new one.

I really want to take a closer look at your options, Filip.M. We definitely wouldn't want to see you cancelling out all the great history you have with us already. I have sent you a follow request here in the forum. • Can I cancel my contract and take out a new one, o...

We have two landlines in our house, but we only need one and we'd like to stop wasting money. The first line, which is only used for phone calls, has the number which all our personal and professional contacts know – so we really don’t want to get rid of that. The second line is only used for BT Broadband Option 3 – so we want to surrender that line altogether and move the broadband service over to our first line (which, according to the BT website, will also give us much better broadband speeds). Sounds simple …. but somehow I’m concerned that the broadband transfer/line cancellation process could get screwed up. Especially since we would also want to downgrade the broadband service to (today’s equivalent of) Option 2 and add BT Vision to the mix.
So I’d be grateful for any advice on how best to proceed. Since our BT Broadband contract expired long ago, could I just cancel that and – at the same time – take out a totally new broadband contract (at a better price, and/or a new hub, with luck) on the phone line which we want to keep? Or will BT not let me do that, since both phone lines are registered to the same address/account? Or, if I really want to avoid things going wrong, should I think about leaving BT altogether and taking a competitor’s broadband/tv combination product? I’ve actually had no major problems - over many years - with the BT broadband service, so I’m certainly prepared to stick with the devil I know if I can be (reasonably...) sure that things aren’t going to go wrong and that the cost savings are going to make it all worthwhile.

    Hi mrwoo.
You look as if you have some difficult descisions to make and I would normally suggest just ringing sales and asking them.
This looks a little to complicated.
Why not ask the forum mods what is the best way to go about this, they might even be able to arrange it for you.
If you fill in this form: http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4951 with a link back to your post for ref, the mods will get back to you. It can take up to 3 days ( sometimes longer in busy periods), and they will contact you direct via phone or email.

Since updating to the new iOS7, I receive a call several times a day listed as "unknown" and nobody is on the line.  Any advise as to why this is happening and how I can block this call?

Update - made an appointment at Genius bar today (chadstone, Victoria, Australia).
Genius examined phone, replicated the issue and identified a malfunctioning main microphone. He noted that the reason I could still talk to the other party when I activated the 'speakerphone' function is that the speakerphone has a (second) noise cancelling microphone/speaker at the top of the handset. He replaced the phone under warranty, and offered to help me to set up the new phone. In and out in less than 15 minutes, with new phone operational.
Very knowledgable, very polite and just great service.. Thank you Apple team at Chadstone.

  • When I swipe phone to open, and hit the phone icon, then make a call, most times it says "calling mobile" but then nothing happens.

Same thing here.  I'm getting very frustrated.  When I swipe phone to open, and hit the phone icon, then make a call, most times it says "calling mobile" but then nothing happens.  Then I try to end the call and hit the END button.  Sure, it looks like the call disconnected, but as soon as I try to make another call, I see the same screen (the first called) and the words "calling mobile".  The only way I can rememdy this, naturally, is powering off and restarting.  But, c'mon...$300 for a phone that you have to power down between calls???
I've got the latest OS update, no jailbreak, or anything exotic on my 4s.  What's more, when I try to make a call 2 out of 3 times, the dumb SIRI opens up and stops me from making the call.  (and, yes, I have very carefully checked my process that I am not intentionally activating SIRI with my cheek.)
Again, $300 for all this in just trying to make a call?

reset your phonr by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Can someone please help me?  I have been trying to get my phone activated since Saturday and Verizon keeps telling me that they cannot do it because their system is still was being updated or is down so to call in the morning becuase it should be up and running.  Is anyone else having this same problem?  I tried calling the for technical support all morning and it keeps giving a message that my request cannot be processed at this time.  Same thing happens when I try to contact them online.

    Dear Apple team,
I recently bought an iphone3GS from USA and jail broke it. Since I heard the there are lots of disadvantages I thought to unlock it officially through the original owner (in copy). He assisted me and confirmed that he unlocked it with AT& T (See the attachment). According to the instructions I restored the phone. But it is not activating with “Activation server is currently not available, please try again or try with iTunes”
When I try with iTunes , it says “you haven’t inserted a SIM” even though I insert the original AT&T SIM.
My current location is Sri Lanka ,so don’t have any apple support.
Please help me to be a good fan of apple.
