Camera not saving pictures

A few weeks ago my Z10 stopped saving pictures in the camera album. All the old pix are still there, but if I take a new picture it vanishes in about 5 sec. I have plenty of room on both my device and SD memory.
Is there any sort of maximum image limit in an album?
Thanks,
Dwells

The limit is the size of your memory, if you have a sd card, in camera settings enable 'Save on Media Card'.

after updating i phone(4.3.5) camera not saving the photos

    Ok .... try this:
Take a pic them open it. See if you can rename it. If you can, give it a name then save it with that name and close the camera app. Now do a search for that name and see if you can find it.
Also try to change the camera settings to store the pic on the device.

  • Camera not working, pictures gone

My daughter gave me her itouch 5, her camera wasn't saving the pics she was taking to her itouch (and she has 12gb or so still available).  Then, the camera stopped working all together, will not take pictures, no buttons work at all.  Now, all the pictures are gone, just a white screen.  I can see most of them in the cloud with my itouch 4, but think some are missing.
On another note, not sure if it has anything to do with this, just got an iphone 5c about the same time she had issues.  I can't see all the pictures that are supposed to be shared, and also having issues with the phone not receiving texts, but that's another matter.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

How are you charging it - wall charger or computer USB?  Wall charger is better, and you might have a USB situation.

  • Camera not saving or sending photos ?

The camera on my 4s will take a pic, but, will not save it or send it via Icloud.

    Hi!
I have the same experience. Yesterday my camera roll contains 583 images, I thought it would be good to save them to dvd so I'll have more space in my iPhone. I downloaded the photos to my iPhoto and deleted the originals. When I went out and took photos in the mall I found out later the photos didn't saved in my iPhone even though I heard a snap sound and saw the pictures going through the folder!
What the heck is going on??? I just bought it late last year. I can't restore my iPhone I've got loads of downloaded songs and videos in it.

  • Z30 not saving pictures to SD card

Hello, I have recently moved from a Z10 to a Z30 and transfered all of my files, settings, etc via BB Link. I put my SD card that was in my Z10 into the Z30 and took a couple of pictures.  The pictures that were taken on my Z10 could be accessed and previewed, but none of the photos I took with the Z30 could be found in the pictures application. When I took a picture, the previous picture appeared in the bottom corner, as it should, until the next one was taken. When I went to access the photos they were not found by my Z30. I did a quick search and found that this is not unusual in either model and seems to have happened after 10.2.1.  I could not find an answer relating specifically to the Z30 or Z10, so I thought I'd make a post to describe my problem and some steps I have done to rectify it.
The SD card is a sandisk ultra U1 32GB.
Z30 recognises the card is inserted and reads 2.7 GB of 29.6 GB used
So here is what I have done:
    1)   I have attached the Z30 to my computer and through Windows/My Computer accessed the SD card. I have verified that the photos that are `missing` are actually there, but they are not being recognized by my Z30.
    2)   I have also gone into File Manager on the Z30 and verified that the photos are there as well. However, where the preview photo should be there is a flower icon indicating that it cannot be read or at least displayed.
    3) I switched the device to save photos to the device- (Camera app- swipe down-Settings- Save on Media Card OFF) -- This worked and any photos I took were readable by the device.
    4) I have removed the SD card from the z30 and reinserted it- this resulted in all of the photos on the SD card being unreadable as all of them became little pink and white flower icons in the pictures application.
    5) I rebooted the Z30 by holding the power buttton and restarting. -  as I am writing this post, this seems to have allowed the device to index the photos properly when it restarted and I am able to save pictures again to the SD card.
I hope that this is a fix that lasts. From what I can see this problem stems from the device not recognizing that a new picture has been added to the memory card. The pictures are in fact there, but the device does not recognize them. Rebooting will fix it, and turning off saving to SD worked as well, but there are obvious limitations to this including not being able to use an SD card to save photos and the time it takes to restart the device.  There should be some more work done to address this problem. If anyone has anything to add or comment on, please let me know.
    Best Regards,
    Bryan

    Hi @cabirder
    A few questions;
Can you verify that your media card has free space? To do this, go to Settings > Storage and Access. Within, tap Media Card Details and let me know the value of Free Storage Space.
Assuming you have free space, can you verify in addition to seeing content on your media card using File Manager that you are able to interact with it? For example, if you select the camera folder on your media card can you see pictures taken previously using your Z30?
Can you confirm that you are able to save a new file, or picture to the media card manually? For example, open Docs To Go, create a new document and verify that you can save, and reopen the file that is stored on your media card.
    Thanks! Ty

  • After an update sept 2013 camera not showing picture ipad 4 retina display

I updated as requested last night 23rd September 2013 IOS7 on my IPAD4 Retina display. The camera does not show a picture and appears to be locked . Very annoying as I don't want to do a factory reset. Can anyone help a senior citizen please without being too technical. Thanks in anticipation

I did the reset, it's still not working. My iPad is totally new, and I got the same problem.

  • NEW MACBOOK...Camera not showing picture

Camera was showing my picture on purchase, but now not.
    Software problem?
I have updated my mac softwares...operating system is now Tiger 4.7...and have Apperture....
    Please help me.

I don't know what was missing from the first delta (software update of non-combo updater) for 10.4.7 : http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=2633936 , it's not a known issue w/ that update, but if turning off your machine or the normal resets (pram, PMU) don't work then trying the combo update or the new delta might do something. Kinda doubt it, but if all else fails it's worth a shot. Green lines in video are usually a sign of a bad connector or not enough power.
    Good Luck,

Can you please update the latest webcam driver from the software and driver download page on www.hp.com and check if this resolves the issue? I would also suggest you to download the latest Cyberlink Youcam from the driver download page.

  • Photo Booth is not saving pictures in the folder

    Hey,
I am facing some issues with my Photo Booth! I am able to take pictures and they drop down to the bottom of the photo booth window, but when i check the folder in ‘'pictures'' its always empty. Before the pictures which were taken got automatically saved in the folder, now nothing happens.
I hope someone can help me out.
    Sofia

    Hello sofia62,
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you want to have the pictures taken in PhotoBooth to show up in Pictures. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
This article says 4.x but these step still work to export in version 7.
Photo Booth 4.x: Export a Photo Booth snapshot or video clip
Click the thumbnail and choose File > Export, or Control-click the thumbnail and choose Export.Specify a filename, select a location for the file, and click Save.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
    Have a nice day,

  • Camera not saving photos correctly

I can take photos with my camera but in the corner where the photo taken shows up, it shows loading bars like it's trying to do something with the photo. When I click there or try to open the photos taken on any of the apps to open photos, it starts loading indefinitely with a black background. Those photos also don't open in the computer. It's like the camera is having difficulties saving the photos correctly.I've tried restaring the phone, stopping and clearing the data for the Camera app, but nothing seems to have worked so far. Do you have any ideas of what to do?

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

  • Camera not saving manual mode settings.

As the title says, everytime I choose a scene mode and go back to manual mode the settings gets reset. (i.e. focus mode, ISO, metering mode)
It is annoying to set it everytime. Why can't the app remember my settings.

As far as I know this is how the phone is intended to work. Manual mode is intended to be used for a specific photo, and the settings is normally not preferred in other situations.

  • Nokia 1520 not saving photos

Is anyone else having issues with thier 1520 randomly not saving pictures when using Nokia Camera for default photo app.  For some reason my camera is now frequently not saving the photos.  A camera reset works, but then in a few hours it stops saving again for no apparent reason.  Kind of sick of having to always do camera resets and then lossing my photos.

No such issues here. Happily clicking away and saving everything. You could if you want, try a reset and failing that, perhaps there may be an issue with the memory which would probably require a trip to your local Nokia Care Point. Alternatively, you may also consider bringing it back to thge retailer for a replacement.

  • Camera closes after taking a picture & pic not saved

    Hi there,
My iPhone has worked fine but now when taking a picture the camera closes and the phone doesn't appeared to have saved the photo at all. Nothing in the Camera Roll album!
I have tried shutting the phone off and powering up again but still experiencing the same issue.
Phone has the latest 1.1.4 firmware
    Anyone else had this problem?

Yes I'm having the same problems. Taking pictures, then only seeing faint squares on the camera roll, with not pictures. When trying to raise photo, camera goes back to setting. This is my 4th Iphone, first one I purchased, took 100 pictures and downloaded them on a Dell Laptop, then faint squares on Camera roll showed up, taking it back to an Apple store in Louisville, Ky, getting a new phone, doing the same thing to a second party, another 100 photos, downloaded them, and again no pics, just empty squares, then I sent it to Apple, got a loaner service phone, and loaner phone wouldn't take pictures either, got a brand new phone from Apple service, invoice saying "replaced with new unit", and it again would not take pictures. 4 phones, and two service phones, and the last one a brand new phone from Apple service direct to my ole Indiana home, and still it doens't take and then store pictures, does just what the other phones have done, nothing different, still doesn't work, still doesn't take pictures, still not I wanted, and I'm going to keep trying. Let me hear from any one who has the same problem, or anyone who might have an answer, Joe

  • Pictures taked with Camera are not saved.

When taking pictures using my iPad Air the app functions normally but the pictures are not saved to the iPad.  Am I missing a setting somewhere in Settings?

Yes, they are on the "Camera Roll".
When I had iPad (the original) these are saved pictures from various apps (Facebook, Wikipedia, emails, ......)
When I up graded to iPad Air everything transfered over.  Thus pictures are stored in "Camera Roll".
This still does not explain why pictures taked on the iPad are not saved anywhere.
    Thanks for the response.
