Campaign Management in CRM 7.0

I have a number of question regarding CRM 7.0. We are having CRM installed in the office at the moment, but you know how long the best practice install takes, if you use Sales,services and marketing, which we do.
I would therefore like to ask some questions that have been worrying me over the past few nights. I have read a lot of CRM related books, but I'm still not 100% sure of the solution, although I think that might be because there seems to be no published book (even from SAP Press) on the subject of marketing.
Question 1)
When you create/run a campaign which physically uses a third party, in my case to distribute the marketing material, how does the campaign physically send data to the thirdparty systems, and more importantly, how does it get feedback from the same party, as well as POS (Point of Sales, till) feedback.
Question 2).
If the campaign involves a text message of graphical object being delivered to the subscribers mobile/Cell phone can this information be put together as part of a campaign, in that if the campaign is reviewed we can physically see the text message of graphical object belonging to the campaign?. The delivery of text message or graphical object from the campaign is the sole responsibility of the third part to ensure delivery to the mobile/cell device, but how is this text/graphical object delivered to the third party do you know?.
Question 3).
We have a number of data suppliers that will be used for when the marketing campaign is created. Does this information have to be pre-loaded as a marketing attribute before the campaign is created, or can these marketing attributes being dynamic and reach out in real-time to get this information. The reason for asking this is that there's a possibility that we may have to link the campaign to the some financial value (possibly sales/servicing cost for certain products) agianst teh customers. This financial infiormation is too vast to hold as marketing attributes, I believe, and therefore wonder3ed if this data could be retrieved in real-time?.
Any help on these points would be very much appreciated, and feel sure it will rid my sleepless nights.

Regarding your question on how much time will it take for Sales , Service & Marketing. It depends on the business scenarios you have in your organisation & depends on complexity of the business. It also depends on number people engaged. Overal it should take around 12 to 15 months for implementing Sales,Service & Marketing if the scenarios are average critial. This will include the time for business requirement athering, business blue print preparation & sign off, Customizing efforts, Unit & Integration testing,Security testing, User aceptance testing, Cut over strategy for dat upload & finally go live.
Regarding your questions:
Question 1)
You can create third party integration with SAP. You will ave to create Campaign & assign target gorup & publish the material for customers available in target group. You have option of downloading targt group customers in Excel sheet. You can also integrate with third party server thru which they can get information as to which customers the marketing materials can be published.This can be more explored based on how the existing business is operating.
I have worked on sending messages thru SMS but they were not image objects. But with use of BADI enhancement we could send messages based on complaint created.
Question 2)
In SAP you have facility to store the images. You can atache the imaes to product or customer.Also, there is Mail form functionality which creates the templates of mal form for sending to customers. Accordingly, the target group customers will reeie the images. Regarding sending images as text objects , I am not sure but there might have BADI for enhancing existing system.
Question 3)
Regaring question 3 of holding financial values & creating taret gorup. There is option of using BI/BW (Business INtelligence) reports. Hence, you will be able to extract the BI reports data in CRM for creating target group. So this dat can be used in creating campaign in real time.
ALso, there is stadard CTI connection available thru which you can connect thru SAP phone for carrying out call center activities.

    Marketing plans and campaigns can be used stand alone in the CRM system. However, when CRM
    is integrated with other SAP systems (BW, R/3, etc.) increased functionality is possible.
    Planned values (e.g. planned costs, revenues, etc.) for marketing plans and campaigns can be written
    to a BW infocube. These planned values can then be used in reporting to match actual values, for
    example, actual revenues and costs.
    When linked with R/3, actual costs related to campaigns and marketing plans can be captured by
    using the financial and accounting functionality in R/3.
    These actual costs can then be extracted to the same infocube in BW to allow for planned versus
    actual costs for a campaign.

    How do we setup authorizations in CRM for Campaign Management.
    I would like to have role for Campaign Creator, Campaign Release, Campaign Approver. Are there any specific authorization objects that drives this functionality. Any help on this is highly appreciated

    For maintaining authorization:
    SPRO --> IMG >SD> BF> CM/RM> CM/RM settings --> Maintain authorizations
    <b>Document Value Class:</b>
    Document value classes provide a means of assigning sales order and sales and distribution documents depending on their document value
    Using the document value classes, credit representatives, for example, can be given different authorizations for credit allocations depending on the document value.
    Actions
    1. Create document value classes according to your requirements by entering a three-character alphanumeric key and a textual description.
    2. Make sure that the credit representatives are allocated to the document value classes.
    Assign Document value Classes:
    1. Enter a credit control area and allocate a credit value to it in a relevant currency.
    2. Allocate a document value class.
    3. Make sure that the credit control area was entered in the corresponding customer master records.
    Maintain Authorizations:
    Here u need to create roles and for perticular user , you can assign that authorizations.

    I am currently working on setting up discounts related to a campaign. Would you have any information on how to do this? I know I need to select condition types from the discount tab. I guess I will have to create the conditon types in IMG. There are some condition types already exisitng that are being used by the pricing procedure for sales orders. Can i use the same condition types??

  • Campaign Management - Procurement of Media

    We are starting a new project to implement SAP CRM and there is a set of business requirements around our planning and procurement of media, including TV, radio, newspaper, magazine, direct mailings, etc.  My initial plan is to implement Campaign Management; however, this does not appear to address the procurement of media.  If I review the IS-Media solution it addresses the sale of Media but where in SAP should the procurement of Media be handled?  Remember that we will want all the details that are being captured on the sales side in the procurement side.

    Hi CRM Gurus,
    I am working on a CRM implementation project for a retail company.
    They already have SAP IS Retail ECC6. They use the SAP IS retail system to create promotions in SAP.
    CRM system will be used for campaign management. The campaigns in CRM need to be linked to promotions in SAP IS Retail.

  • Campaign management

    Dear all,
    We are working on CRM 5.0 campaign management.
    As per our clients business scenario the a target group need to be created on daily basis based on filter criteria and the target group needs to be sent to a third party with the required fields.
    We have set up attribute sets and filters for the target group and scheduled it for daily execution.
    Now we are not able to create file( excel format) with required fields which is consists of target group BP's data and send it to the third party.
    Can anybody help us with detailed steps how to configure this scenario.

    But as per the requirement this should happen automatically.
    All the BP,s of the target group with the required fields data in the form of excel should go to the particular email ID automatically on daily basis.

    Hi,
    Can any one please advise on my below query?
    In CRM 4.0 using the below path
    IMG -> Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Marketing Planning and Campaign Management  User Interface settings Define Field Selection for Campaigns
    we can control the fields and also the tabs to be displayed in the Market Planner.
    So now in SAP CRM 2007 when I checked to do some changes I could not see the path mentioned in IMG screen, so can any one please let me know whether this facility has been removed from SAP CRM 2007.

    I've followed all the steps till 3 and for the 4th step I've clicked "Views" and then double clicked "CPGOE_DETAILS" and then followed 5,6.
    Can you please let me know whether I'm in right direction?
    And also using this settings can I hide few of the tab pages which are available in the standard campaign.And also can you please let me know how to check the other components in the system as I need to do the same configuration for Market Plan, Makret Plan element and Campaign element.

    i am facing some problem is using Email marketing and campaign module of CRM On Demand. Need help in solving few queries.
    1. I am trying to create the email template and save it for future purpose. I am using fields data column to make email personalize automatically. Problem i am facing is when ever i am opening this template for using it again for another campaign these dynamix fields doesn't come. ONlyu the static text xomes.
    2. Second, how can i get the status of email delivered, read etc.
    3. And in last, what ever email i am sending, how can i attach them with the receipient (Contact) record.

    2 - email receipt status is automatic by Email marketing. You should see it in the Campaign Detail - section Recipients
    3 - Campaign Detail - section Recipients > You can insert Contacts manually or via Data Import or via Segmentation Wizard.

  • Campaign Management Project in Oracle 8i

    Hi,
    My company is going to develop a Campaign Management System in
    Oracle8i.
    Our user has defined 500 attributes in the customer profile for
    selection criteria. The customer profile have about 3million
    records. The system's responce time should be within 1minutes.
    Now, we have two proposed solution :
    1. Use one table which contains the 500 fields and all the
    fields will be created as index;
    2. Divided the 500 fields in seperate tables and use table join
    to join them together.
    Which method would be better / are there any other solution for
    the problem?

    WHat is the purpose of the system? Is this a transaction
    oriented or query oriented system? If you're mainly extracting
    data (and since you chose this forum I'll assume you are), then
    it would be a good candidate for a star schema.
    A dimensional model works extremely well with this kind of
    data. Logically break up your query criteria into multiple
    dimensions and put your fact data in fact table(s).
    I can't give you more info then that without a lot more info
    about your system and it's attributes but that should get you
    started.
