Camparing property with node name in 2 different Version

Hi Guru,
Please help me to extract a report or build validation for comparing the property value of a node in a heirarchy (say Hierarchy 1) of version (Say version 1) against the differnet property value of a node from another heirarchy (Say Hierarchy 2) in another version (say version 2). For example , I need to validate that the property value for node in Hierarcy 1 of version1 exists in Hierarchy 2 of version2 and is enabled. Property value in Hierarchy 1 is same as Node name in heirarchy 2.
Thanks

Try using compare exports, might be helpful in your case, in the Style section, check Property Updates and select all the properties you wish to compare ( if you are trying to find differences ),
Remember it will compare all those nodes which are common in both the Source and Target hierarchies, If you wish to find missing nodes in Target -> Check Deletions, to find missing nodes in Source -> Check Additions.

  • Content node name problem during creation on portal 9.2 cm filesystem repo

    Hi all,
    We are developing a portal site using weblogic portal server 9.2.
    We are using the portal built-in content management system of the portal admin app. And We use the filesystem repository (with library service disabled) to store our content data by following the setup on documentatation.
    We use the create_db.cmd script to create the cms tables in a oracle database. The input contents' binary files and metadata are successfully stored in the filesystem directory and database correspondingly.
    However, we encountered some bugs/unexpected behaviour on creating/uploading binary data when using the content creation form.
    The problem is that when we try to create a content with one (required and primary) binary property, the node name of the new content does not always follow the name input by the user. The content node name will changed according to the uploaded file or the binary property name defined in content type, which are unexpected behaviour. In fact, we expect the node name stay as the same (with extension padded) of what user input on creating it and the property's filename should use this name.
    When we use the WYSIWYG editor to create the document of the binary property, after saving the document, the filename of this binary property automatically changed to the content type's property name, after clicking save button on the content, the node name of the content changed to the content type's property name too!
    When we upload file for this binary property, the property 's filename changed to the uploaded file's filename, and changing the node name of that content too!
    We would like to know what would cause this kind of misbehaviour/bug,
    could it be caused by misconfiguration on server? the filesystem repository? the database scheme?
    Any helps or suggestions on it would be greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Keaton

    Thanks for the reply jalpesh, you answered the filename on file upload method.
    But what about the filename changes due to create document (WYSIWYG editor) method. The content filename changed to the property-name.ext about saving the content, which is quite a strange behaviour. As the user will not be able to add the same type of content on current directory cause the content filename follow the property-name.ext and cause same filename conflicts when saving.
    We are using the weblogic portal server 9.2 MP 2 with oracle database (bea type 4 connection driver).
    Any advices or suggestions?

  • Creating  file on network with same name

    Hello All,
    I have created the A0001BOE20060001.txt file on my machine & i want to create same file with same name on the different machine,
    i m able to copy all data in that file & recreate it on the server but i have problem with how to GET same file Name
    As i m creating a new file & writing data on the 1.txt which i m creating on the server
    How should i recognize the file name & create the same file on the server????

    Is this on Windows?
    I believe that java.io.File works with UNC paths. For example, if you have a network resource on the share myshare on machine my-pc, you could do something like:
    File f = new File( "\\\\my-pc\\myshare\\myfolder\\myfile.txt" );
    Note that you have to escape backslashes. You'll also want to be sure that you have permission to access the share - it won't prompt you for a password, so you must have already authenticated using Explorer or net use.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Yes you can. Make sure that domains configured to use different multicast address. WLS uses multicast for communications between nodes in domain.
              although your configuration will work, you could have troubles if you going to execute inter-domain calls between domains/servers with the same names.

  • How to Setup RDS custom property when internal and external domain name space is different

    Hi All
    I am setting up RDS for customer
    My internal domain name is domain.local and my external domain is domain.com
    I came across below PowerShell cmdlets on some blogs because my internal and external name space are different
    Set-RDSessionCollectionConfiguration –CollectionName QuickSessionCollection -CustomRdpProperty “use redirection server name:i:1 `n alternate full address:s:remote.domain.com”
    In above command, remote.domain.com points to which host?
    Is it pointing to RD Session Broker
    OR
    Pointing to RD Session Host servers
    I am not sure what above command will do exactly ?
    Any help will be highly appreciated
    Thanks Best Regards Mahesh

    Hi,
    It all depends who is accessing the RDS Solution.
    If you have a large BYOD or large number of external users, it would be better to use a public certificate.
    Have a look at the following script which will simplyfy the configuration of the RDSH hosts with certificates.
    http://ryanmangansitblog.com/2014/05/20/rds-2012-rdsh-certificate-deployment-script/
    You can use a custom RDP property to hide the Session host names.
    Have a look at the following article on configuring certificates:

  • HI Can I add a child node to an Element Node with a name that  exists

    HI,
    Can I add a child node to an Element Node with a name that is already existing in the Element Node.
    Let me explain what I need exactly.
    My Existing element Node looks like this:
    <form>
    <name>
    <FirstName></FirstName>
    <LastName></LastName>
    </name>
    </form>
    Can I add another child node with hte name 'FirstName' to the 'name' node ..?
    I want to put a attribute rvsn with a value 1 for the original 'FirstName' element Node.
    so the new Element Node should look like the foloowing:
    <form>
    <name>
    <FirstName rvsn="1"></FirstName>
    <FirstName></FirstName>
    <LastName></LastName>
    </name>
    </form>
    Hopefully this is valid XML !!
    when I tried to use appendChild, it removed the previous node and put the new one. Thats what is the documentation also said.. I read it after I tried it :(
    Anyway, ther should be another way to add a node like that.
    Any hints, ideas will be of great help.
    -Thanks in advance !!

  • How to run a webdynpro multiple times by passing different parameters each time and save webpages with parameter name?

    Hi Experts,
    I am a BW consultant and new to webdynpro. Not sure how to run RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY multiple times and by passing different parameter values each time(either taken from an a standard BW table or user provided - anything is fine) and build web pages with parameter name. Need help with direction on where to start.
    Let me step back and explain my requirement:
    In BW we have an object called transformation.
    One way of generating documentation for transformation is highlight transformation and press F1. Then its documentation will be opened as a local web page.
    I need these web pages for all transformations. This is my requirment.
    I came to know that RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY is beeing used to generate this web page.
    The web link is something like below:
    http://ubw05.xxx.com:8005/SAP/BW/DOC/METADATA/?page=BW_O_D&SystemID=BWPCLNT100&ClassID=TRFN&ID=0KHR6J65AIIUTCJZEC093K6XDFV909PB&objectVersion=A&sap-language=EN&sap-client=100
    When i run this link seperately(not by selecting transformation and pressing F1) i need to enter login credentials to BW system.
    My challenges is how do i pass login credentials and multiple transformation IDs to generate multipe web pages with each page named by transformation ID?
    WHere to start? First of all is RSO_METADATA_REPOSITORY Webdynpro JAVA or webdynpro ABAP or can i use anything?
    Since it is beeing opened as local webpages i assume it is webdynpro JAVa is that correct?
    Thanks,

    I still need to store it in an array because its 300 elements in the XML stocks.
    I've done the following but its not working, i'm getting error codes. I think its an easy fix. I'd also like to pass a String instead of a .xml document b/c my xml is stored inside a DB. Any suggestions on that?

  • Is it OK to have two SBS Servers with same name, on different subnets but connected over a VPN?

    Hi Everyone,
                       I'm just about to connect up two SBS 2011 Servers with the same server name but on different subnets & domains over a VPN.
    So for example both servers will have the name Server01, one would have an ip address of 192.168.85.5, the other 192.168.86.5, they both then would be connected over a VPN.
    Can anyone foresee any issues with this configuration, like DNS & DHCP requests, adding new machines to the domain, mapping drives etc.
    Many thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Larry & Strike First,
                      Thank you for your responses. I understand that this is an unusual situation. Basically I've recently taken over the IT support for this client. The client has just had a new phone system installed
    & are asking if they can speak to each office internally, which can easily be done once I setup the VPN.
    However I noticed whilst looking at this further that the Server names are the same, hence my question?
    Am I right in saying that providing the workstations  have a trust relationship with their own domain controllers through their individual domains on separate subnets, that hopefully there shouldn't be any DNS issues between the two domains and Servers?
    I could build a new VM if you feel it would be better practice to do so?
    Many thanks for your assistance,
    Nick
