Can "Reporting currency" be "Base currency" for Entity ?

Hi Experts !!
In my app i m using USD as reporting currency and MXP as local currency.
In Entity dimension parent member base currency should be USD and its children base currency should be MXP.
While i m retrieving the data on those entity members , I can see data on entity children members (MXP as base) but not on Parents,(Which base currency is set as USD)
So , Is it correct to tag parant member's base currency as USD or
or because USD is reporting currency so i can not fix parent members base currency as USD.
Please suggest !
Thank you.

parent member will get the data from the childrens.
For the leaf level members you will do the conversion and aggregate to the parent.
Obviously the parent member will be tagged with the reporting currency.
Base currency means the currency of the loading data.

  • Where can I buy a base cover for my T61 6465CTO FRU # 42w3699

Need to replace base cover on my T61 and nobody seem to have it...
Or can I use base cover from other similar models (like 6564, 6563m etc) ?
    Thanks,
    Misha

i talked to maintenance parts and there are two requests in the system for that part number (one of which might be yours) and they are on backorder with no ETA as you said.   they are having a difficult time obtaining that specific part number from lenovo.   there doesn't appear to be any substitute or alternative part numbers, either.
since this is for a T61p, have you considered having the base replaced under warranty?   it's possible that other base part numbers will fit.   the service department could try different FRUs on their dime instead of yours.

  • Where can I download the base OS for OS X Lion

Just wondering if someone could point me to right download link as I dont seem to find the base OS on app store

Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard — Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service — this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion — System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.

  • I can't see a Base URL for shared Calendars with new Mobile Me iCal

    Hi,
I have a family .Mac membership and my events are being organised by a Windows user (with one of my other accounts) using the Mobile Me Web site. No other problems accept this.
With the previous iCal on my Mac when I shared a Calendar I was always shown the Base URL which anyone with a web browser could access. With the new iCal on Mobile Me is a simple URL still an option? If so how can I find it?
I don't wont subscribers to have to download a file or add the calendar, I just want them to click a URL and view the week's events, Read only, as with the previous iCal on my Mac.
The old URL system does not work for the new iCal on Mobile Me I tried it http://ical.me.com/username/Calendar
Any Tips will be greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Athena

Do you have enabled auto-fill for the location bar?
You can check the pref browser.urlbar.autoFill on the <b>about:config</b> page.
You can also make the protocol visible.
You can set the pref <b>browser.urlbar.trimURLs</b> to <i>false</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page to see the http: protocol.
You can set the pref <b>browser.urlbar.formatting.enabled</b> to <i>false</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the highlighting of the domain and see the full URL more clearly.

  • Can report selection variants be saved for personal use only?

I have created some sap selection reports which  allow the user to create and save selection criteria variants.  These become automatically available to all users.
Is there a way I can alter this so all users will only be able to view/use variants they have personally created?
    Thanks,
    Bill

    Hi,
Checking the user specific option sounded like the answer to my question.  However,  I don't see that as an option on the save popup.
I see only for background processing,  protect variant and only display in catalog.  Perhaps this is an option not installed for copy of sap?

  • "Allow multiple currencies per entity" option in Planning web form

    Hi, All
The desciption of the option I pasted from the oracle doc library is:
•Allow multiple currencies per entity: If the application supports multiple currencies, allow entities to support multiple currencies, regardless of base currency. Users can select currency for displayed cell values in data forms
Well, assume that app has USD as a default currency. App was built in EPMA with multi currency option. All entities have USD as a local
I build a form and set this flag. According to the text above i want to enter some values (for example for one of the account) in GBP, can I?
All i need is the binary anwser, Yes or No. Honestly it's not the truth because if the anwser will be Yes i'll be surprised how? I can enter GBP in cell but after saving it returns to USD
I've allready searched question like this and have found a couple but not answered

    Hi, Alp
Thank you for you answer. I've checked your link and it's amazing that information like this was written not in admin but in user guide.
Another thing i've wondered that it depends on setting of Calculate Currencies calc script (run on save). But it's just a think men must know and do I think.
Unfortunately I can't see how does it work, although I've done this settings.
If I set local currency for one of the entity as GBP then I can enter data in GBP of course and Calculate Currencies script runs ok. I can see exact values for local (GBP) and default currency (USD) just on planning form as I set currency dim in page.
But in my case when i set local currency for this entity back to USD entered value in GBP always changed back to USD regardless of Calculate Currencies script settings. It happens during save on the form
Can I get a bit more information about some other settings to be done to make this functionality work?

  • Reporting currency and Functional currency?

How can I set up the reporting currency which is different from the functional currency in the set of book?
    Thanks,
    Amy

    Hi,
Yes.... We are using "Chart of Accounts" and "Calendar" as Primary SOB's.
We have many Set of Books and all are using same "Chart of Accounts" and "Calendar", just the functional currencies are different.
    Let me provide more info:
    1) We have a set of book named as "RS_ASIA" with below settings:
COA is "ASIA_COA", the calendar is "ASIP_CAL" and functional currency is "USD".
For now I to print out financial statments with 2 currencies, one is USD and I think we don't any problem. Another currency is "HKD" and I think we have to set up as "Reporting Currency" for print out financial statement.
    Hope someone can help.
    Thanks.

  • Currency for GL account  related to foreign bank

    Hi
I have a GL account which is "Bank account for foreign branch". Our company code currency is USD. The Bank account is in Euro. Can the currency for Bank account GL be set up in USD (the co code currency) ? I think it should be.But there is a similar account ( bank in germany ) has set with GL as Euro. I am not sure which is best practices , setting up bank account in Co Code currency or docuemnt currency ? Kindly guide me, it is very urgent.
    Thanks in advance
    Satya

    Hi
GL accounts corresponding to Bank Accounts are generally maintained in the respective currency. In this case it is advisable to maintain it in EUR and not USD.
    This helps as below:
    1. GL balances are always visible in EUR and can be verified against bank statements.
    2. Period end FC gain/loss can be valuated and posted.
SAP documentation also suggests that Bank accounts are maintained in respective currencies.
    Thanks

i need to find out where is BUDAT field being populated in the 2lis_04_p_arbpl extractor. • Base tables for 3FI_SL_WD_TT.

    Hi ,
I had a query regarding the data source : 3FI_SL_WD_TT.
The data for this DS is extracted via a function module G_BIW_GET_TT_DATA. I was able to find the base tables for the enhanced fields. I need to know how can I find the base tables for the standard fields.
    Regards,
    Adarsh

    Hi Adarsh,
in R/3 goto transaction GCL3 "Display FI-SL Customizing Ledger".
Find the line for your special ledger WD and what you see in the column named table should be the main table for your standard fields.
The structure of the table is different to the datasource and also the key might be coded. Once you found the table for WD (above) have a look for further tables of similar name and you will find the tables that hold the key (like ROBJNR, COBJNR or SOBJNR) referencing to your table.
    Best,

  • Multiple input currencies for a single entity

My client must support multiple currencies for any given Entity.  For instance, Spanish Company #1 must be able to record transactions (sales and purchases/costs) in both Euros and in British Pounds, since both currencies are used by this entity.  Since, by the default configuration, an Entity can only support one currency (LC), I am searching for alternatives.
    Option 1:
Use a user-defined dimension, such as a Geography dimension, as the dimension that is tied to Rate, and modify the FX scripts accordingly.  The Spanish Company #1 will remain in the Entity Type dimension.
    Option 2:
Assign a different dimension as the Entity Type, such as a Geography dimension.  And make the former Entity Type dimension, where the Spanish Company #1 lives, into a user-defined dimension.
Are their other options to consider?
We are planning on supporting multiple reporting currencies (it is currently just USD), so we are reluctant to use Option 1, because the business rules may be hard-coded to the Entity dimension (are they?).  We also plan on performing intercompany eliminations down the road, so we are reluctant to use Option 2, since at that time we will be relying on the entity type for those functions.
Thank you for your thoughts on this.

If you're interested, here's some FX translation logic with account-level override. You may be able to modify this to choose some other dimension as your override -- datasrc, or whatever makes most sense.
// Factors that impact currency conversion:
    // Entity.Currency property (required)
// Account.Currency property (optional, overrides Entity.Currency if set)

  • Reporting Multiple Currencies per Entity?  Tools or Methods? Planning

The customer wishes to be able to enter more then one local currency. So they could have USD and CAD or USD and Euros for the same Entity.

What is the best way to get report totals of LOCAL currencies when there can be more then one per Entity. So the cell has the currency code in Essbase.
I can get this with various steps with the excel addin or smartview but how to get it with FR or other tools?

  • Display Currency Value of User POV for Entity & Value in Text Box (Header)

I am looking for a function in Financial Reporting Studio that operates the same as the HsCurrency function in Smart View. This would allow batch reports displaying the currency value of the User POV for Entity based on the User POV for Value. Right now I have to have Member Lists for separate reports and different currencies as I am only able to display the Value dimension in the heading of a given report. Users will not be certain of the currency if the Value dimension is <Entity Curr Total>.
I tried the HFMCurrency text function, however the entity is not defined in a Row / Column / Page reference as the entity is determined by the User's Point of View.
Is there a way to display the currency value of a User's Point of View for Entity based on the User's Point of View for Value?
Reference from Oracle Hyperion Smart View for Office, Fusion Edition, User's Guide:
    HsCurrency
Data sources: Financial Management, Hyperion Enterprise
HsCurrency retrieves the currency value of the specified dimension member. Entity and Value are the only valid members for the HsCurrency function.
    Syntax
    HsCurrency (“Connection,Entity;Value”)
    Example
In this example, HsCurrency retrieves the entity currency where the currency for the East Sales entity is USD, and the currency for the UKSales entity is GBR. The EastSales entity displays USD, and UKSales displays GBR.
    HsCurrency(“Comma”,”Entity#EastRegion.EastSales;Value#<Entity Currency>.”)
    HsCurrency(“Comma”,”Entity#EastRegion.UKSales;Value#<Entity Currency>.”)
