Can't compile custom classes in Release 12 environment.

Hi ,
We have some extensions to the OA Framework pages in Oracle Applications. The custom java files for the same are returning the following error while compiling in the release 12 environment.
RufiReviewSubmitCO.java:78: cannot access oracle.sql.NUMBER
bad class file: /u002/app/applmgr/R12TSTcomn/java/lib/appsborg.zip(oracle/sql/NUMBER.class)
class file has wrong version 50.0, should be 49.0
The same java files works without issues in a 11.5.10cu2 environment.
The java version on the server is 1.6.0_10 and the java file was created on a client machine with java 1.6 version.
Have you encountered this error, how to overcome this. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Sudeep

hi
it seems that u direct compiling the files in unix box ,one other way i can suggest , if u will compile the class using Jdeveloper compatible to your EBS and then move the file to server ,definietly it will work.Note:416708.1 on Metalink has a list of all the JDev patches for the various releases of Oracle Applications.
thanx

  • Swf can't find custom classes after publishing....

    Hi everyone,
    So this is probably an easy thing I don't know, I'm hoping.
    But when I publish my project and test it in a normal HTML, the swf can find some classes but not others for some reason?
    How can I make sure all the classes get compiled into the Swf?
    I got the main timeline calling the first class (CalypsoPlayer); and it finds this class find -- which is under the same class path.
    But CalypsoPlayer can't find the class it needs, even though it's under the same class path as the class.
    I've tested the project in Flash itself and it all works great without any errors so I'm not sure what's going on.  It's only when I test
    the published SWF that it can't find all the classes it needs.
    I appreciate anyones help -- Stan

    Hey Dan,
    My mind just stopped for an hour and I wasn't thinking straight on this issue, lol.  I thought I deleted this posting but apparently
    I didn't.
    Thanks for your help but this issue was just a result of a mind that had too much coffee and not enough energy .

    As far as I can see it seems that your patches are actually doing something to sched_bfs.c, so it's probably their fault.  eldragon's advice could verify that.

  • Can't import custom class!

    I have no idea why as3 is so stupid but it is and I have to
    deal with it. Basically, I creatd a Server.as file with the Server
    class but I can't import it into my .fla! Both are in the same
    folder and when I change properties to use AS2 it works! But when
    I'm doing it in as3 it doesn't work...

    you don't need to use a directory structure for your files'
    location, but you need to use the package designation in your class
    definitions.
    for example, if your Server class file is in the same
    directory with your fla, you can use:

  • Can't Compile My classes!!

    Hey all
    I'm doing servlets bt the compiler gives me an error of package javax.servlet not found!! i do have tomcat and Sun's application server bt what's wrong i dunno! Pls suggest what should i do in order to compile these files
    Thanx

    You may,
    1.) Search for "servlet.jar" in the directory where you installed tomcat.
    2.) Copy the "servlet.jar" to "relative path". ie. the path where your java program reside.
    3.) In the command window, goto your directory where your java program reside and then type "javac -classpath .;servlet.jar classname".
    If problem persist consult your doctor. ^_^

  • How can i add custom attributes to a new Class Object using the API ?

    Hello everyone,
    Here is my problem. I just created a subclass of Document using the API (not XML), by creating a ClassObjectDefinition and a ClassObject. Here is the code :
    // doc is an instance of Document
    ClassObject co = doc.getClassObject();
    ClassObjectDefinition cod = new ClassObjectDefinition(ifsSession);
    cod.setSuperclass(co);
    cod.setSuperclassName(co.getName());
    cod.setName("MYDocument");
    ClassObject c = (ClassObject)ifsSession.createSchemaObject(cod);
    Everything seems to be OK since i can see the new class when i use ifsmgr. But my question is : how can i add custom attributes to this new class ? Here is what i tried :
    AttributeDefinition value = new AttributeDefinition(ifsSession);
    value.setAttribute("FOO", AttributeValue.newAttributeValue("bar"));
    c.addAttribute(value);
    But i got the following error message :
    oracle.ifs.common.IfsException: IFS-30002: Unable to create new LibraryObject
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01400: impossible d'insirer NULL dans ("IFSSYS"."ODM_ATTRIBUTE"."DATATYPE")
    oracle.ifs.server.S_LibraryObjectData oracle.ifs.beans.LibrarySession.DMNewSchemaObject(oracle.ifs.server.S_LibraryObjectDefinition)
    oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObject oracle.ifs.beans.LibrarySession.NewSchemaObject(oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObjectDefinition)
    oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObject oracle.ifs.beans.LibrarySession.createSchemaObject(oracle.ifs.beans.SchemaObjectDefinition)
    void fr.sword.ifs.GestionDocument.IFSDocument.createDocument(java.lang.String)
    void fr.sword.ifs.GestionDocument.IFSDocument.main(java.lang.String[])
    So, what am i doing wrong ?
    More generally, are we restricted in the types of the attributes ? (for example, would it be possible to add an attribute that would be an inputStream ? Or an object that i have already created ?).
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
    Guillaume
    PS : i'm using Oracle iFS 1.1.9 on NT4 SP6 and Oracle 8.1.7

    Hi Guillaume,
    you're welcome. Don't know exactly, but assume that ATTRIBUTEDATATYPE_UNKNOWN
    is used to check for erronous cases only
    and it shouldn't be used otherwise.
    Creating your own objects could be simply done via
    ClassObject ifsClassObject;
    DocumentDefinition ifsDocDef = new DocumentDefinition(ifsSession);
    // get class object for my very own document
    ifsClassObject = ClassObject.getClassObjectFromLabel(ifsSession, "MYDOCUMENT");
    // set the class for the document i'd like to create
    ifsDocDef.setClassObject(ifsClassObject);
    // set attributes and content for the document...
    ifsDocDef.setAttribute("MYFOO_ATTRIBUTE",....);
    ifsDocDef.setContent("This is the content of my document");
    // create the document...
    PublicObject doc = ifsSession.createPublicObject(ifsDocDef);

  • Can we get  reference of WD component in custom class of enhanced View cont

    Dear Member,
    We are enhancing WD component. We need to get a reference of WD component in custom class of enhanced View controller (post exit) so that popups can be triggered or URLs can be called?. How should we get reference of WD component? I need to know cons of our approach.

    Hi,
    Create one static attribute in your custom class with type ref to of your component and populate this attribute in webdynpro enhancement and then use this reference in your custom class.

  • Custom DSC can't find exception class, error about export-packages

    I've got a DSC which has a method that can throw two custom exceptions. It all works, and the exceptions show up available for handling in a process in Workbench, but the issue here is that the server.log has this error:

    Hi,
    I was wondering if you found answer to your question, and also were you using your custom class loader inside a signed applet as I am in a similar situation, and was wondering if you could help me. An example would be great...

  • Can i create more than one attributes for the custom class created using java API

    Hello everyone,
    I have been creating class and its attributes programatically using java APIs, I want to know that is there any way to create multipal attributs for the same class in just one call of API with all the options for each attributes,
    thanks

    You can create a new class and define all of the Attributes at the time the class is created - this is the preferred way of creating classes. Use the addAttributeDefinition() method on ClassObjectDefinition. If you need to add attributes to existing classes, you can only add them one at a time (using the addAttribute() method on ClassObject).

  • Can't compile class using library

    Hi!
    I have a simple class which uses library A. This library uses another library B in turn. When I try to complie the classs with javac, I get the message 'cannot access C. file C.class not found'
    C is the name of the class from library B. I wonder why the compiler need the library B to compile my class which does not have references to it. Library A have such references but I'm not compiling it, I'm compiling my class. It looks like the bug in javac.
    JDK 1.4.2_07

    That section says: "The compiler needs type information for every class or interface used, extended, or implemented in the source file. This includes classes and interfaces not explicitly mentioned in the source file but which provide information through inheritance." I don't see how this statement implicates "All dependencies must be satisfied, regardless of whether YOUR class uses something". Could you advise?

    The release prerequisites indicate the sequence in which a purchase requisition or an external purchasing document must be approved via the release codes. The release prerequisites are defined in the Purchasing Customizing facility (in the release strategy).
    The approval procedure for purchase requisitions in an enterprise may be set up in such a way that a department manager must approve a requisition item before the next level of authority (e.g. the cost center manager). In this case, approval by the department manager is a prerequisite for approval by the cost center manager.
    Release Indicator
    Definition
    When a requisition or an external purchasing document has been processed via a release code, a release indicator is assigned to it.
    When the system sets which release indicator is defined in the Customizing facility for Purchasing (in the release strategy via the release statuses).
    What does the release indicator determine?
    Requisitions...
    External purchasing documents....
    Whether the item may be changed by Purchasing or Materials Planning and Control after the start of the release procedure
    Whether a new strategy is determined and whether existing releases must be cancelled in the event of changes
    Whether an RFQ or a PO may be created with reference to the item
    Whether the document may be changed by Purchasing after the start of the release procedure
    Whether a new strategy is determined and whether existing releases must be cancelled in the event of changes
    Whether the purchasing document is released for transmission
    Alternative Release
    Definition
    Within the release sequence, you can define alternatives. This means that several employees can effect release (signify approval) at a certain point in the sequence. If just one of these employees has effected release, the next release status is reached. The other employees thus need take no action.
    Five release codes are defined for purchase requisitions in an ascending hierarchy. The requisition item can be converted into either an RFQ or a PO if release has been effected either with the release codes 01, 02, 03 and 04 or - alternatively - with release code 05.
    The box with the information on the release strategy also offers you the possible alternatives for selection (see Displaying Release Information).
    An alternative release cannot be a prerequisite for the next release code. In the above example, the releases with codes 01, 02, 03 and 04 could not be prerequisites for release with 05.
    Release w. Classification (PReqs./Ext. Pur. Docs.)
    Use
    The aim of this procedure is to replace manual written authorization procedures using signatures by an electronic one, while maintaining the dual control principle.
    The person responsible processes the requisition or other purchasing document in the system, thereby marking it with an "electronic signature" which can give the document legal force.
    This release procedure can be used to approve requisitions and the external purchasing documents RFQ, PO, contract, scheduling agreement, and service entry sheet.
    Purchase requisitions are released either at item level or in total. There is no provision for item-wise release (i.e. partial approval) in the case of the external purchasing documents. The latter can only be released in their entirety.
    If you set up the release procedure with classification for purchase requisitions, the procedure without classification is deactivated.
    Prerequisites
    The release procedure with classification must have been set up in Customizing for Purchasing. In addition, a class with characteristics must have been created for each document (requisition, purchase order, etc.).
    If you wish to set up both the overall release procedure and the item-wise procedure for requisitions, you must create one class for each procedure.
    How to do this is outlined in the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Purchasing in Define Release Procedure for the relevant documents and in Set Up Release Procedure with Classification for purchase requisitions. You will find detailed information on classification in the R/3 Library in the documentation CA Characteristics and CA The Classification System.
    This procedure offers a wide range of possible combinations of release criteria. Should you nevertheless have other requirements, use the enhancement provided by SAP.
    Operation of Release Procedure w. Classification
    The characteristic values from a requisition or external purchasing document are passed on to the classification system.
    The system checks whether the values correspond with release conditions. If so, it assigns a release strategy.
    The persons responsible for the release codes process the document in the sequence defined in the release strategy.

  • Importing custom classes

    I created a java class that I want to put in a universal folder and be made accessible to all java programs on my computer. I tried using CLASSPATH so that files I make can locate it, but it didn't work, and I don't know if I can use an import statement or not. Does anyone know how I can have a custom-made class (located in, for example, C:/classes/) be accessible to all java programs?

    I want to be able to put the universally accessible class in a root directory (like C:/classes/), so using packages wouldn't work that well since other java classes would be much further in (C:/users/.../documents/java/...).
    The way I tried to set up my classpath is I set CLASSPATH=C:/bin/. bin is the directory where I keep my compiled class files (javac -d C:/bin/ MyClass.java), which would also include the .class file of the one I want accessible. I can run any java file in bin (java -cp C:/bin/ MyClass), but when it searches for external files it still searches in the directory in which it's located.
