Can't import CTI Ports in CUE 3.1

Hi Everyone,
I have recently migrated CallManager 4.1 to CUCM 7.1. Everything is working fine but CUE is not able to integrate with CUCM 7.1
I have provided the new credentials for Admin User and JTAPI user in CUE 3.1 and also made a new application user in CUCM 7.1.
When I verify CallManager Admin User in CUE web interface it shows Admin login successful, JTAPI login successful.
But when I try to search and import CTI Ports from CallManager, it shows me the error IOException: No such attribute.
Can anyone please help me with this issue?
Thanks,
Amit.

Hi
See this compatibility chart:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/unity_exp/compatibility/cuecomp.htm#CUCM
To run CM7.1, you need to be running 3.2.1 of CUE as a minimum.

Aaron

  • How can I import CTI route points with line setting "Advertise Globally via ILS" enabled?

I am using CUCM 10.5.1.10000-7 and am using ILS to propogate dial plans between two clusters.  We use quite a few CTI route points but so I generally import them into the cluster with all the appropriate settings and line association settings. I need to be able to enable and set the various ILS settings line Advertise Globally via ILS.  This can be done on phones and their line associations but not on CTI route points as far as I can figure.  The same goes true with the Bulk Administration, you can updates lines of the phones for these setting but not CTI route points.  Any trick or even obvious thing I  am missing?  Setting these manually is extremely time consuming.

  • Cti port and cti route port on CUCM

I always confuse the meaning and usage of cti port and cti route port, can somebody explain to me? thanks.

when i got the explanation on this the 1st time this is what they told me:
the CTI route point is a virtual device that is always available and handles the call until the JTAPI app (UCC, CUE, 3rd party VM, etc)
this is where the call is answered, where it's put on hold, etc.
the purpose of the CTI route point is to have a DN that can take all the calls. The CTI RP also communicates with the JTAPI app to let it know that it got a call and asks what to do with it. the JTAPI app at some point tells the CTI RP to send it to a CTI port
the CTI Port is just like a phone line, it takes the RTP stream and is where all the interaction takes place, you enter your ID, information, password, etc.
it can only take one call at a time and the number of CTI Ports an app has registered equals the max number of call it can take at any given time

  • UCCX CTI Ports - range suggestions?

We used CTI ports starting with a 9 and we
put the CTI ports and route points
in a separate partition so they are not in the same partition as what the customer would dial out to the PSTN,
so that there would not be a conflict with 9.X route patterns.  This works.
Is there any standard practice on what ranges
CTI ports should be in? I keep seeing in 4 digit
dial plan the least used is 9XXX.
    and if Cisco recommends avoiding
    certain DN ranges like 9XXX
    for UCCX CTI ports

Well, everyone will have their own methods and reasons for choosing said method. Cisco won't have a specific recommendation nor should they really. My approach in North America is pretty straight forward. If the customer has a pre-conceived notion or existing design I will take that into consideration. People get used to doing things a certain way and if there are no conflicts I choose not to pick a fight. Mainly because I have plenty of other design points that are more important.
If the customer has no opinion or their proposal is not workable, then I typically default to using a 7-digit plan with a leading "1" in the 7th digit. This is because the NANP excludes 0 and 1 in the NPA and NXX portion of the phone number. Meaning, you will not see an area code or exchange that starts with a 0 or a 1. I try to incorporate that fact into my dialplan. Particularly for "software" or "application" numbers. So, Unity ports, UCCX CTI RP/CTI Ports, etc.
I used to be more stubborn about these aspects of the dial plan but now I have loosened up some. What I like to do (in NANP) is to lay out a 10-digit solution using the customer's DID and a private numbering standard using the leading "0" or "1" digit approach. I find that most customers already have a range of numbers they reserve for private numbering. I try to tap into that and expand it if I can.
All that being said, personally I would stay away from using a digit that is also known as the "steering" or trunk access digit (typically "9", but I have also seen "8" used). The reason I steer clear of this assignment is because I have been pulled into customer issues where they lost secondary dial-tone. Which typically means they assigned a "9" (or other as applicable) as a leading digit to an extension, mml, or UCCX port. For some strange reason it always falls into one of those three buckets. Now, it should be said that if your dialplan approach has a hierarchy built-in then using a "9" is non-issue. Sounds like you have worked that out. So, not sure you need to tweak it.

  • Can I import video from a Firewire camcorder using the Thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter?

I have an older camcorder that has a firewire interface. My new iMac does not have any firewire ports. Can I import video from the camcorder using a Thunderbolt to Firewire Adapter or is the Thunderbold adapter only used for hard drives and displays?

Rather than an adapter, I would suggest you purchase a 4 pin to 9 pin Firewire 800 cable to run from the camera to the Thunderbolt to Firewire adapter. Those FW 400 to 800 adapters frequently do not work so well for importing video in my experience.
The Firewire cables are pretty inexpensive if you get them online. For example try Monoprice.

How can I import all my gmail contacts into iPad? I use iPad mini and the solutions available on the web are not compatible.

Hello and thanks for the answer.
I meant by "not compatible" that all the solutions that I found on the web did not work, especially the "Microsoft exchange" one.
Fortunately I found on the comments of the first website you mentioned the right answer for me, which I copy below:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDav Account.
Enter the following information in the fields:
    Server: google.com
User Name: Enter your full Google email address
    Password: Your Google account password
Select Next at the top of the screen to complete the setup.
After you have completed the setup, open the Contacts app on your device. Syncing should begin automatically.
    Additional Information
Note: Make sure that SSL is enabled (under Advanced settings), and that the port is 443.
If you are using application based special password go to https://accounts.google.com/Se... and instead of your password put that special code and u r done.

  • Can't change printer port on Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2

    1. Install "Lexmark X646e Class Driver" using a in-box print driver (i.e. one comes with the Windows installation base) .
    2. Go to "Printer properties" -> "Port"
    3. Select a custom monitor port, and the following error occurs in Event Viewer.
An error occurred while configuring print queue 'Lexmark X646e Class Driver'. Printer driver 'Lexmark X646e Class Driver' may not be used in conjunction with a non-inbox port monitor.
Same steps applied on Windows 8 and Server 2012, and not issues found. The restriction/limitation is newly added in Window 8.1 and Server 2012 R2.
Changing to a custom monitor port after printer driver installation is very important for us.
How can we solve or workaround the above issue, so it can behave like Windows 8 and Server 2012?

What Port Monitor just so I can bubble this information to some others?
    Alan Morris Windows Printing Team
    Hi Alan:
We developed a custom printing system, which involved the following configurations:
    1. Create a custom port monitor on server 2012 r2.
    2. Change an existing print queue to use this custom port monitor, and share this print queue.
    3. All workstations will print to this shared print queue on the server.
The goal is to manage/monitor the print information in StartDocPort for all printing for instance.  This is what we've been doing for a long time.
Now we upgraded our system from server 2012 to server 2012 R2, but we can't change the port monitor to our ones anymore.
I've tried the Type3 printer driver, such as Brother Color Type3 Class Driver, unfortunately it didn't work if the installation is using "Add a printer", and select the driver from the list.
The only way to make it work is to install the printer driver using the one downloaded from the vendor's website, this will bypass Windows "Add a printer".
Is there any chance we can make this to behave like server 2012 or earlier? Modify registry keys?
    Cheers
    Steven

  • Can't import photos from my iPhone into iLife '08 after upgrade to 10.5.1

I can't import photos from my iPhone into iLife '08 anymore after upgrade to 10.5.1.
It used to work great...now this. Sad, sad, sad I am.
I tried the "FIX" of refreshing phone and sync history, but it DID NOT WORK for me. HELP!
    Please help, somebody.
    Saint Podoreo

I have the exact same issue, but with a standard IMAP account and SMTP.  My iPhone can send out, using the EXACT same settings, from the exact same WiFi connection...but the 10.8 MacBook cannot send at all.  The only account I can send out on is my iCloud account.
I have also tried all the steps above...no luck.
I have also turned off all network filters and firewalls...no luck.  (And as I said above, my iPhone is on the exact same WiFi connection and using the exact same settings, and it can send fine.)
Other messages I've found via Google have suggested simply forcing the SMTP server to use Port 25, but that didn't work for me either.

  • I can't import photos in Lightroom 3.4.

I can't import photos in Lightroom 3.4. No problems with Lightroom 3.3, seems to be due to the 3.4 update.
Connected Nikon D80 directly to laptop (MacBook Pro 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5). Upon import (RAW) get error message "The following files were not imported because they could not be read." Previews show up OK. I'm importing to an Iomega external HD with 321 GB available, and "Make a Second Copy To" a Maxtor external HD with 300 GB available.
Also tried using a SanDisk card reader (ImageMate SDDR-99 V3) with same results.
I've tried 3 different SD cards: Kingston 2GB, PNY 4GB, and Lexar 2GB, all with same results.
I've tried importing JPG photos from Nikon Coolpix S6000, with same results.
I've even copied JPG files to laptop HD, and tried importing that way. Get same error message.
I've optimized the catalog, and still won't work. (Catalog contains 14,422 images.)
JPGs import fine into iPhoto on another computer (Mac G4).
Also tried different USB ports on laptop, with same results.
    Any suggestions...

Problem resolved...Ran disk repair on Iomega HD. Disk Utility found and repaired problems. Uploads to Lightroom now function as normal.

  • UCCX8 Is there a log or report that shows IVR/CTI port availability over time

    Question:
Is there a log or report that shows IVR/CTI port availability over time?
    Objective:
We are trying to determine if, when doing a Call Redirect step, the IVR/CTI port stays the same or the port is made available by the first script and the second script, where the Call Redirect is redirecting to, has to reserve its own IVR/CTI port.
    What we have done already:
We limited the Call Control Group to 1 CTI port and ran the scripts that do the Call Redirect step and it worked fine, so we are assuming that there is not a point where the transfer takes up two IVR/CTI ports at the same time.
    -Lauren

    Hi,
if it's UCCE, then if I remember that correctly, there is a webview report that would tell you Network Trunk Group utilization. Or, actually, you can extract this information yourself from the HDS table named Trunk_Group_Half_Hour.

  • Synchronization problem MoH in CTI port

    Hi
I have a problem with the synchronization of  User Hold Audio Source and Network Hold Audio Source in the CTI Ports. The callmanager cluster is 6.0.1.2121-1 and UCCX 5 versio.
After doing a Data Resync the result is User Hold Audio Source-- UUID changed from {AC0250B0-6F23-4D91-A73B-A733B011C5CE} to {31E8EA9C-57832-43F7-8384-4C6351A97110}.
Attached is a picture about the result of Data Resync process.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.

MOH issues can be tricky, but let's start with a couple of assumptions:
    1.  You are running a single CCM cluster
    2.  The callers coming into the UCCX system are all using the same MRGL
    3.  If you're using Multicast for MOH, then you have multicast properly set up.
    4.  You have the MOH audio source files loaded on all the servers where it needs to be (must be loaded on each MOH server individually, these do NOT replicate).
I make the above statements because if any of the above are not true, you can have issues, and while they may manifest on UCCX, they are not UCCX problems.
If you have the data resync/check coming up clean, and it's still misbehaving, open up the call control groups and make some small modification to them...change the description or something so that it will delete all the ports and then rebuild them.  Make sure you open up the more info and confirm the settings are where you want them to be.  The existing ports will get deleted and then rebuilt.  This will resolve any issue where someone modified something directly on CCM that could potentially cause your issue.

  • Call Rejected error when Using CTI Port to call out

    Hello,
I am using Cisco Call Recording feature that is enabled on a phone that has a CTI Port and number assigned to invoke a call recording session to dial out a Long Distance number. Hi,
I have looked into the issue. If you are trying to create the BP with general role 000000, i think it might not be possible via LSMW.
The error message is correct, because role 000000 is indeed not relevant for update because if you can see in the customising Tx BUSD, 'FLAG - Do not update' will be active. This is the reason why you are getting the error message of 'No update is defined for the role 000000'.
When you insert a partner in role "000000 General Business Partner",the error message "BP role cannot be updated" will be returned. This error message is very specific for this issue. You can create BP in different roles apart from the general role.
Indeed if you try to change the 'Do not update' flag to inactive state and process the LSMW project you will be able to create the BP but it is strictly not recommended.
This role is a technical role which exists for the creation of BP, and immediately you will fall back to other roles available for the partner.
So i feel you need to change the role before you create BP with this role via LSMW.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Venkat
