Cancel Printing of individual document during EA29

Hi,
In our requirement, we are creating only one spool request for say about 1000 print documents. Now, based on some validation, I need to prevent one of the invoice (not validated) from updating in spool request. I tried using Macro MAC_PRINT_CANCEL and MAC_PRINT_CANCEL_REPEAT.
These macros are giving the error message in the application log for the failed record, but at the same time, it is getting updated in the spool request.
EG~: I have selected the print of 10 records. When I am running EA29 with the condition that all 10 records are in one single spool.
In this case, suppose print document no. 5 fails the validation, I am calling MAC_PRINT_CANCEL in the During LOOP of the DOC_HEADER node.  In this case, after output, the application log has the message of 1 failed record, but at the same time, it is also present in the success log and is partially included for the Spool request.
The output spool has data for all 10 print documents, but it should have 9 as 1 has been cancelled.
The print date of the document is not updated.
Can you please suggest, if there is any way, I can cancel the print of one document from the particular set and have 9 in the output.
P.S> - We are using only one spool request per 1000 documents.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Rajesh Popat

Hi NimalyaC,
Thanks for your response.
But in this case as well, the standard WRITE process for spool would create the default header at the start of each record. In this case, I need to carry out all the validations before actual print of text elements begin.
In some cases, I have all the values available in the HEADER_NODE, but not all cases are handled. Some of the values for payment / other items comes later in the NODE. I need to explicitly duplicate the NODE to perform validations.
My requirement is to roll back all the text elements that are processed for this record if the validation of any data in the lower node fails.
MAC_PRINT_CANCEL does not delete the text that is printed till the point the cancel event is triggered causing partial entry of record in the spool.
So, if you could help if there is any way the spool data can be rolled back for the particular record it would be really helpful.
Thanks,
Rajesh Popat

  • I can't print my PDF document.  Why are the bookmarks outlined in red ink?

I installed Acrobat Pro and have problems with PDF docuents in Adobe Reader ever since.  Now it only prints half a PDF document and my printer says I have the wrong size paper installed.  It's a plain and simple 81/2 x 11 document.  In looking closely at the bookmarks on the side of the document, I notice individual pages have red ink boxes around part of the text in the document.  This is the only part that prints on the document.
I think this is related to Acrobat Pro forms, but I don't see any way to keep Acrobat from screwing up my PDF documents so I can print them out.

This just started happening to me today.  Did you ever get this solved?

  • Printer won't print a whole document

My 4630 printer only prints the first page and then cancels the rest of the document. I have to manually choose to print one page at a time. If I try to print a document, it prints the first page and then cancels printing the rest of it. It's driving me crazy. I just bought this printer and, other than that, it works fine.

  • Printing a secured document duplex

When printing a secured document from Adobe Reader 10.1.3 on Mac OSX Lion to a Canon iP3000, the printer dialog is disabled. How can I ask for duplex printing?

    Michael,
Thanks for responding. After selecting File->Print a dialog titled "Print Secured Document" appears. Options are Pages -> All | Current | Selection, Number of copies. Buttons are Cancel and Print. Selecting Print sends the document to the default printer. There is no display of the printer setup dialog.
The document I want to print is a copyrighted document that is DRM secured and can only be opened by Adobe Reader with the File Open Plugin and according to the vendor's site, will only allow 1 print to be made and can only be opened on the computer it was first opened on.
    Thanks

  • UNABLE TO CANCEL PRINT JOB THAT KEEPS PRINTING SAME COPIES

How do you cancel print job on a HP Deskjet D1520 with Windows Vista?
    THANKS!

Since this printer does not have a physical "Cancel" button, the easiest way of stopping a document print is to clear the document from the Print Queue.
To remove a document from the print queue manually:
    1. Depending upon your operating system, do one of the following:
    • Windows Vista: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, click Control Panel, and
    then click Printers.
    • Windows XP: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, click Control Panel, and
    then click Printers and Faxes.
    • Windows 2000: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Settings, and
    then click Printers.
    2. Double-click the icon for your product to open the print queue.
    3. On the Printer menu, highlight the document, click Cancel or Purge Print Document,
and then click Yes to confirm.
Now, if the document has already started printing and you want to stop it before it finishes; then simply lift the top access door which will pause printing. Remove the document from the print queue now. If it is no longer in the print queue, then power off the printer. Wait about 30 seconds and power on the printer again. This should have stopped the document from printing.

  • Printing multi-page documents

I have a 25-page .psd document that I want to print in CS6 in one hit, but I only seem able to print it by opening each page individually and processing it separately. What can this be done?

Photoshop for whatever reason does not print multi-page documents as you would see in PDFs. Acrobat does not accept psd files for conversion into PDFs,
So I nicked the following from here: How do I create multi-page PDFs from PSDs on Photoshop CS5? - Quora
Its not a one step process but kind of a workaround really -
STEP1 Export all your files as JPEG or PNG.
If there are lot of files you can do it in one go using File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack then create a new PSD with all the files you want exported. Then go File > Scripts > Export Layers to Files and export it as one of the above image formats
STEP 2 As mac user - Go to the folder where all the above files are exported and Cmd Open it all together in "Preview" application, then click Print, but instead of printing save as PDF. There is an option to save as PDF in the popup you get before printing. So JOB DONE
As a PC user - I am not 100% if they have inbuilt utility of saving as PDF while printing but I remember I used a third party software (which was free) I think it was called bullzip PDF print or something like that. And then you can do the same in Windows as well like mac. You can either load all your JPEG or PNG files in windows image viewer or I think Word should definitely work. Like you will need to copy all your images in there and then "Save as PDF"

    Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter.  Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button.  Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

  • Linux client can't cancel print jobs in print monitor

CUPS print server on Mac OS X server 10.4
    CentOS 4.4 linux client
    - Mac OS X server and CentOS linux client on different authentication sources
The CentOS 4.4 linux client is configured for CUPS printing and pointed to the Mac OS X server CUPS print service.
The linux client can successfully print to available printers servered by the Mac OS X server.
The linux client has a print monitor. Normal user on linux client cannot cancel print jobs thru this print monitor. Selection of print job and pressing the 'cancel' button do not effect a cancel. Admin user on Mac OS X print server can cancel the job from the print server.
Is authorization required for a client to cancel a CUPS print job on the client?
Is same authentication setup required for both client and server?
    Thanks,

  • Cancel Printing of series of photos

How do I cancel printing a series of photos on HP Photosmart 7760?  I'm using Windows XP and need to print a document..
    This question was solved.

The easiest way is to just press the cancel "X" button on the printer.  Printing will stop, although the compter will continue to send the print job until it is done.  This may take a minute or two to complete.

  • Print a KM document displayed in the portal

    Hi Experts,
I'm implementing ESS MSS for a client and I was asked to add an iview in the same page as Address to inform employees which other companies/phone provider.. they should inform when they change their address.
I added a KM document with the different addresses they should contact and displayed on the right on the screen like they asked.
Now they want to add a print button in order to print this KM document directly from the portal, I suggested the 'by default' browser's print clicking in the right button but they refuse (because the page is printed and not only the KM iview), they want to have a seperate button to print just the KM document.
    Any suggestion guys?
    Thanks you

In this case nothing to do with the KM Document iview.
You need to write your custom code in the KM document for getting the print button and print functionality.

  • F110 : program name of posting cleared document during F110

    Dear all,
I need to figure out the "PAYMENT DOCUMENT SPLITTING" issue after F110 via debugging.
I believe the main program for F110 is SAPF110V and SAPF110S is the program handle the posting. However, after I put the break point in  SUBMIT SAPF110S AND RETURN in SAPF110V, then do step by step debug. Debugging doesn't go to SAPF110S. I am not sure what's wrong.
Can anyone tell me the program name that post cleared document during F110 processing?
Thank you very much for help in advance!!

    Hi Sruthy
I guess you have missed populating field STYPE in each of the records which identifies the actual structure.
Below is how you have to pass for them:
    <b>Struc --> Value
    BGR00 --> 0
    BBKPF --> 1
    BBSEG --> 2</b>
    Kind Regards

  • I'm trying to print  an Ancestry document from an iPad 2 using air print onto a Canon 5350 (one of the printers ok'd by Apple) I am unable to change the print orientation from portrait to landscape.  That is I change it in printer settings but no use.

I'm trying to print an Ancestry document from an iPad 2 using air print.  The printer is a Canon MG5350 (on the Apple approved list) I have no difficulty printing but only in portrait format.  I've tried changing printer preferences from my computer but even though the Canon accepts the changes it will not print landscape - can anyone advise please?

    Hi,
How do you connect the printer to the XP machine ? If USB, you need to make that machine as a Print server. Please try this:

  • History report page prints before printing each new document?cc=us

How do i stop my HP Officejet 6700  Premium from printing a history report page before printing each new document, using Windows 7 & Using Microsoft Word? When I open a document and print it, it prints a history including: File Name; Directory; Template; Title; Subject; Keywords; Comments; creation Date; Change Number; Last Saved On; Last Saved By; Total Editing; Last Printed On; As of Last Printing....
Everything worked perfectly for a year, then I had to reinstall the printer because I deleted it by mistake. I cary it with me when I travel to meetings and didn't have my install disk, so I had to download the install software. I haven't changed any settings in Word, but it appears that the report is generated from Word.
Help will be appreciated. I can't find any other topic like mine to see an already presented solution.
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
The report indeed being generated by Word and not by the pritner driver.
As you did not clarify your MS Office version I included the steps for Word 2010, I believe the same should also apply for Word 2007:
From Word click the File menu, then select Options.
Select Display from the left pane.
Under the Printing Options sections, uncheck the box next to Print document properties.
Click OK and try printing again.
If you cannot find the specific option, please clarify your exact Microsoft Wiord version.
