Cancelling call divert
Each time I try to cancel call divert by dialling #21# I get a message saying 'sorry, the service requested is not available' !!! Any ideas what I do now as I am desperate to cancel call divert. Thanks for any help
that is the correct way to take a divert off... if you put on the divert this should work, however if it was put on by 151 you may have to give them a call... also if you are using a feature line have you tried # 121 #

Cancelling call diverts on Nokia 6630.
At present my phone only rings for about 15 seconds before going to my voicemail. I have tried to cancel the divert but my phone will not allow me to cancel when not answered nor will it allow me to increase the time before diverting.
Is there any other way around this or should i contact my network?
CheersA few useful codes :

6300 call divert missing from menu
Some time ago I set up Call Divert on my Nokia 6300 (on Orange UK), but now that I wish to cancel it, I go to menu>setiings>call, but Call Divert no longer appears. The items there are listed as 2/8 to 8/8. How do I get it back?
This could v well b an operator issue. In India a network BSNL allows call diverts to only its own network numbers. So if that's the case in ur area pls do check with the operator too.
Please mark the post as solution if it solves your problem.

Hello all,
When I restart my E61 it defaults to Divert All Calls and I have to then cancel this through the settings menu.
Does any one else have this problem?
ThanksOK - I had call divert problems - my Nokia e61 doesnt have the option to switch it off !!! (although the manual says that it does) a Call Divert option listed in the tools>setting> menu. No means to toggle on or off. The annoying thing is that the thing keeps going to divert all calls when I call my voicemail - which is ok when I am using the thing - but then when I finish the call to voicemail, the divert icon wont go away.
What can I do if the darn thing doesnt give me the option to remove call divert?
Thanks! -
Noisy line,Call Divert activated without request.E...
For some months I experienced severe crackling on line but BT advised "No fault on line".I thought my handset might be faulty so have used other (new)handsets, without success. Tried online diagnostic tests to no avail.I do have a phone/broadband "splitter" but phone faults are the same whether or not phone is connected to main socket via splitter.
In the last week,I have been unable to make or receive calls--line is dead(no dialling tone or ring-tone) and incoming callers receive the automated BT 1571 answerphone message. My investigations suggest that "call divert" option has been selected but *I* have had no reason to do this and ,in any event, I understand that a
PIN number is required to activate/deactivate this facility.So---who has activated the "divert"? Not me
In desperation, and fully aware of the risk of call-out charge,I have arranged an engineer's appointment on two separate occasions. On neither day did the engineer turn up within the agreed time-scale but on each occasion BT have then sent me an automated e-mail message saying that the engineer turned up at the agreed time but could not gain access. This is preposterous(!) as on both days I or my wife "kept watch" at our front window continuously for the 5 hour slot. We were grossly inconvenienced on both occasions.
I am now about to start a complaints procedure via BT, Ofcom,Watchdog etc but, before I do, I would welcome any advice from forum members and, hopefully, anyone at BT who is caring enough to suggest a prompt solution
before I have to cancel my account with them

Solved!
Go to Solution.I am currently experiencing very similar problems to GeordieGeoff.
For weeks we have had a very noisy line and rung BT only to be advised by the BT automated service that there is no fault on the line and to be warned that I would be charged £127 if I insisted on a visit and it was my equipment to blame.
We blamed our digital cordless phone and hunted for the receipt as it was less than a year old havng bought a new phone we plugged it in to find the same problem I attempted to contact BT via their e-mail contact however every time I tried to send the e-mail asking for assistance the e-mail would not send and kept saying I had entered an invalid e-mail address.
Being unable to get e-mail support on Mon 9th August I rang BT and took the risk and booked an engineer for the following day between 8-1pm. I then received a mobile phone message which said they had found a fault but it was outside the property and therefore they would not need to enter. On the afternoon of the day the engineer had been booked he turned up saying he had just been sent ut to check my line he knew nothing about me having been told there was no need to be in and said he definatly needed to check the line in the house. (good thing we were in eh)
Having checked the line he said there was a fault under the pavement and contractors would have to dig up the pavement before the line could be repaired but he had no idea of timescale. I rang BT as I currently have no phone and very intermittent broadband and asked them to divert my house calls to my mobile they agreed to do this and call me after 6pm to advise on timescale of repair. You guessed it no phone call!!
Yesterday morning I spotted a BT engineer in our road so went and asked him about the repair he said he was a tracking engineer and was only there to identify where needed digging up. He said I should be notified by BT of timescale and I told him I had little faith as they had not rung me the day before when they promised. However later I received a text which said "we need longer to repair your line" well I'm sorry but I could have told them that !
To date (friday ) we have not had the pavement dug up and therefore have no phone and very limited broadband I have also just been told by my daughter that my phone is not diverting to my mobile I have also received several very irritating text messages telling me it will tke longer to repair my phone !!
any thoughts ?

Nokia 2310 phone call divert screen symbol
dear sir/madam,since i have been abroad in italy a few weeks ago i now have the bent arrow symbol'call divert'on my screen and in this phone's call settings menu there is no way of cancelling or deleting this icon or symbol from the screen or LCD panel.
anybody have any clues on how to fix this.
regards danny.Wow! I've just got back from Spain and was wondering the same thing. I was picking up my voicemail and then as soon as I hung up that icon appeared. I've received calls and texts on my phone since then, and as far as I can tell the calls AREN'T being "diverted" in any way!
However, when I go to "call settings" to try and turn on/off diverts, I only have menu options 2, 4 and 6 - nothing to do with diverts and nothing which allows me to get rid of this symbol.
I'm also with orange!
Anyone have any information? This is driving me crazy!
(just a thought - has anyone tried to use "restore factory settings" on this problem? It seems a little drastic, but it may help) -

Help please!
I recently cancelled 1571. Since then all incoming calls divert immediately to a message saying: "Sorry, you can't leave a message at the moment" and then disconnect.
Everything else works fine (outgoing calls, broadband), and since the voice message sounds exactly like 1571 it seems pretty obvious that something went badly wrong with the 1571 cancellation.
I have had some lovely conversations with 151 and with the online chat people who have seem to have no idea how to fix the problem.
I see from the forum that this type of problem has been encountered before over several years and the only way to get it fixed appears to be to post on here and wait for the BT people who monitor them to spot it and come to my rescue.
So HELP! <waves flag> Here I am, please come and rescue my phone line from the 1571 gremlin.
DaveI just cannot believe I'M READING THESE POSTS AND THAT OUR EXPERIENCES HAVEN'T FED THEMSELVES BACK TO THE PEOPLE WHO MATTER AT BT. (Sorry hit caps lock!) I have had exactly the same experience as you all and I have been on the phone for hours trying to get the message through to the people on the end of 151 that the problem is obviousky with the 1571 system. I got to the point three days ago when there was a glimmer of hope that my word was being accepted about the problem. I was upgraded to speak tp a 'supervisor' or similar, who said that 1571 would be reconnected to see if people could then the get through again - beyond the scary message. Of course the moment it was reconnected the phone line was fine. He promised me that he would ring back yesterday to check the situation but I heard nothing. SO I got back onto 151 and had all the same discussions again. I asked why I had been promsied a return call - no explanation. Everything was clealry on notes on his computer but I had to go through the same questioning about answer machines at home etc etc. I suggested that the 1571 system was so complex that few people at BT have any clue that it is capable of giving the recorded message that we have all reported. He said he knew all the 1571 FACILITIES AND THAT NO SUCH MESSAGE CAN BE SWITCHED ON. (Hit it again sorry) I can't tell you how relieved I am to read your posts acknowledging the same experience. I am now waiting for 1571 to be switched off again to see what happens, and he has promised to ring me back on Monday afternoon at 2.00pm (5th January 2014). I also got a letter from BT welcoming me to the 1571 service and explaining that it will now cost me £1.75 per month - I've had it for years and the reason I want it turned off is to save the new charges. I fell totally exhausted with th whole affair. Happy New Year, and best regards.

HOW TO DELETE PHONE NO. RECORD IN CALL DIVERT
Hi! Please help me, I have recently activated a call divert if the phone is not answered. My problem is, when I deactivate this function. The record of the phone number that I have used is still appearing, how do I delete this record?
Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Call divert > Voice calls > If not answered > Activate > To voice mailbox.
Most networks don't allow you to deactivate altogether the call divert is no answer, so setting it to divert to your voice mailbox just puts things back to their defaults.

I am disappointed in the Call Divert service.
I have it set up to divert to my mobile if the phone is not answered or busy.
It takes a long time for the call to be put through and in the meantime there is an annoying message which is repeated three times. It does not sound at all professional.
I used to be with Virgin and their divert system was much slicker.
I would like to get rid of the annoying message - any chance?
Why does it take longer than Virgin?
PS the Infinity Broadband is a lot quicker which is why we changed.the delay depends on the setting this link may help http://btbusiness.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7684/~/how-do-i-divert-calls-from-my-phone%3F

I have an E71, my call diverts are active, but the problem is that the phone rings for 10 seconds, then goes to the divert for messagebank. I want to increase the time the phone rings before diverting. How is this done?

Hi
I am having problems with the call divert on my 5800. I have set it up to divert to my voicemail if I don't answer, however it only rings twice and then diverts. I'm trying to find out how to extend the time it rings before diverting as I haven't answered a call sucessfully yet since I've had the phone!
Thanks all!try checking under Menu > Settings > Calling > Call Divert > Voice Calls > If not answered
max u should be able to set the timer to is 30 secs
if there are any errors and if it still diverts before the timer set, u should call ur network provider
if my post helped u out, please click the Star next to it to add some KUDOS to my name -
I have a N85 and use call divert a great deal. Is there a way of moving call divert to the main menu screen of the N85?
Thanks
Solved!
Go to Solution. You could find out from your operator what the code is to activate and deactivate Call Diversion. Then, you could set up two contacts, one for Activating the diversion, and another to deactivate. Assign a Nickname to each contact, and use Voice Dialling with the associated Nickname to dial the Call Diversion Code.
For example, in Australia, **21*[DestinationNumber]#[SEND] is the Call Diversion GSM code. See this link (or search for GSM Call Diversion Codes) for sample codes:
http://www.hotel.com.au/GSM-Mobile-Hash-Codes.asp
Hope this helps - haven't tried it, but it should work. Let everyone know how you go!!!
Cheers,

I used to have an Erricsson (can't remember which) but it had a nice feature where whenever it was plugged in to charge (or docked) it automatically diverted all voice calls (eg to my desk phone)
Is there any way to do this with any of the Nokia phones? I currently have a 7210 but will upgrade soon (like the look of the n series).
thanks

Hello, earlier today I was on the phone to my friend, my dad came home later on saying he had been trying to ring me, whilst I had been on the phone to my friend I had no incoming call things, I tried to sort it out, I went on settings, calling, call divert, voice calls and clicked If Busy, I clicked deactivate but it just came up 'Request not complete' any ideas what I have to do?
ThanksTry phoning your network before you reset your phone because your phone it's not the one responsible for diverting calls, your network is. The phone just sends a request for the calls to be diverted. A problem with the network caused the message you got back.

Hi, I have a 6151 and the call divert activates too quickly. How do I change how long the phone rings for before it diverts to voicemail?
Solved!
Go to Solution. This is a network setting. You have four possibilities:
1. You can't...your operator is keen on voicemail revenue
2. There may be a setting in your phone under "call divert"
3. You may be able to change it on your operator's website
4. Otherwise, try calling your operator
