Cannot add or edit entity record in HTML Client
Hello,
I've been using Lightswitch 2013 for about a year now, and have created many add/edit screens. However, I'm trying to do the same with a particular entity, and all the controls on the edit screen are Read Only (even though "Use Read-Only Controls"
is unchecked everywhere). Additionally, the Add button I created on the browse screen is disabled.
This seems to be limited to this one entity - I can do any CRUD operations on other entities just fine. I am using an external data source (SQL Server db), and have tried updating the data source by removing and re-adding the table in question.
In the database itself, there are no constraints on the table, and there don't seem to be any permissions settings that are different than the tables that are fine.
I've also tried completely deleting the screens relevant to the entity and starting fresh, to no avail.
If it helps, I also notice that when the Add/Edit screen is created, it doesn't reside within the folder for the entity, as the browse and view screens do. It is standalone, one level out. Never saw that before either, perhaps it is related to
this issue?
Again, I've been using LS for months, but never ran into this scenario. Any advice would be most appreciated!

I figured this out. The problem was that the primary key on the database table was removed after the table was previously imported during the external database data source setup. I don't recall why I removed that PK, but apparently
I did!
Steps to resolve the issue:
1. Delete all screens referencing the entity.
2. Use Update Data Source and uncheck the offending table.
3. Rebuild
4. Add Primary Key in database the table.
5. Use Update Data source to bring the table in fresh.
6. Create and use screens....they now work with full add/edit capability!

I have been using my iPhone 3G for 3 years until I recently switched to iPhone 4. However after I backup and restored my iPhone 3G to iPhone 4, everytime I switch on my iPhone 4, a message pops up and says 'Cannot Access [email protected] Review your account information in Settings.' I have granted the proper access and cannot seem to get permissions to work in order to add or modify anything in models. Don't know what I'm missing.
Cannot find the object "tbl_3_19_EN" because it does not

In this case, I think you need some CSS support to work with your particular database. So you either give them the remote access or backup of the database.
If you have the Premier contact with Microsoft, contact the assigned Microsoft Account Manager to create a ticket to get CSS support.

Cannot add shared Contacts in Open Directory from a client
Hello all
I need to transfer vCards from a local Address book to the Server and I need them to be shown in each client's Address book.
*Problem 1:* I cannot add or edit shared contact using the Directory app. from a client to a 10.5.3 Server. Only the Directory Admin credentials are valid. The client 10.5.5 is bound OK. The app is configured to use password, not Kerberos, and the Server is "responding normally" in the Directory Utility application.
I can even login as a mobile user with Network Home. Same there.
*Problem 2:* Ive put in Address Book the correct LDAP settings, but I cannot see a catalog of vCards. If I search using the search field, I get results, but I need them to be shown all as catalog.

KostasThis turned out to be a reverse DNS configuration problem. Apple support suggested using a local ip address instead of my public host name. That worked so I looked into the reverse dns configuration. I fooled myself by thinking that if I could reach my host with my.host.com with other services like http, that my DNS was set up correctly. My reverse DNS originally resolved to my.host.com when it should have been something more like 123-456-789-103.cos.pcisys.net. Now I can reach my host from anywhere with the Directory application.

Applied an update to an app that records blood pressure. Am unable to retrieve previously stored info. When following directions in update, I cannot "add" data to import because message states data are stored elsewhere, and I cannot find where. Help?

Help appreciatedHey Edward, I'm not sure if you're still having trouble with this, but I was struggling with it too, and what I believe fixed it for me was correcting some incorrect MobileMe login info. I guess the contacts were set up to be managed by MobileMe, and since the login wasn't going through, some permissions were disallowed. Anyway, my guess is that you have something misconfigured in an account that's managing your contacts. Good luck!

Cannot add new selectors or edit existing CSS file with my Mac
I have just subscibed to Dreamweaver CC and I cannot add new selectors or edit the exisiting "main" css that comes with the tutorial. When asked to add selector a box appears but when I press enter/return twice it disappears. Also there is no option to edit existing properties. for example, to change a font color I pick color but there is no enter or "OK" option. I'm very puzzled and stuck.
The trial version of Dreamweaver is fully functional. The only limitation is that it stops working after 30 days. If you're having problems with getting the software to work correctly, it might be a good idea to try posting a question in the Downloading, Installing, Setting Up forum, mentioning the fact that you've already posted here (otherwise, they might just transfer you back to this or one of the other Dreamweaver forums).
If you can't make changes to files, it might have something to do with permissions or the user account that you've logged onto the computer with.
When asking for help in the other forum, mention your operating system, and which version you're using. The problem might be related to your computer setup. -

On the latest Mac Mini Server Lion 10.7.2
Everything was working fine at first, I'm pretty sure either since i've upgraded to 10.7.2 or since we try to connect Windows8 to the server, Lion Server is not working to good anymore, from that time I cannot add/edit users or groups & assign any users to any goups, the + sign looks desable, and everything seems pretty glichy. The other thing I have notice is that a huge amount of Users & Groups has been added without my consent.
Do I have to ReInstall Lion Server??
Why do I have all these random Users & Groups listed? (see screenshot)I had the same issue. I opened the Workgroup Manager application and noticed the message "not authenticated as diradmin to directory: /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1" was under the icon bar at the top of the popup screen. When I clicked on that bar I entered the diradmin username and my password. After I exited the authentication dialogue box the message now read "Authenticated as diradmin to directory: /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1."
At that point I had full privalages in both the Workgroup Manager and Server App to create users and groups.
Not sure if this why the problem occurred in the first place but at least I resolved it without any major problems. -
I have a program.
It displays the Form. On the form are the various controls i.e text fields and buttons.
They ask the user to enter the name and phone nos.
Their are also add record button, find record button, delete record button and save record button.
My problem is that when I am suppose to edit a record it does not do so.
Please help.

Why should it? It creates a new Phone object, compares that against each of the existing Phone objects, if it finds one that matches, it replaces it with THE SAME ONE.
It might be a better idea to either make

so that when it finds an entry that matches, it prompts for user input for a new phoneNo and name.
That, or make
public void editPhone(Phone toFind, Phone toReplace)
which I think is simplest and most obvious.
I personally would have made a method

CF 9 not showing up in Perfmon. Cannot add CF counters.
Hi,
This is a brand new enterprise install of 64-bit Coldfusion 9 on Windows 2008 server.
Coldfusion Application Server 9 is not showing up as service in windows Reliability and Performance Monitor (perfmon). CFSTAT and Performance Monitoring are enabled inside the CF Admin. When I click on cfstat.bat the command prompt window displays information for a millisecond and then goes away.

Is there a solution for this? I cannot add any Coldfusion counters to Perfmon. I am really dependent on perfmon for tracking CF server performance.I tried to set up metrics, but I am getting an error: "
Could not read metrics data"
When checking the files
XML Config: C:\ColdFusion9\runtime/servers/coldfusion/SERVER-INF/jrun.xml - is configured correctly.
But this one is missing from my directory: Log File: C:\ColdFusion9\runtime/logs/coldfusion-metrics.log
What am I doing wrong here?
EDIT: In the process of setting up metrics I discovered that after CF reinstall CF server monitor is refusing to log me in. It just sits there and does nothing:

I cannot add a Wi-Fi guest network. Gone to Utilities>Airport Utilities and all I get is an image/browser of my Airport Extreme. Looking for the browser window which has the title Wireless but cannot find anywhere. What am I doing wrong?
Open AirPort Utility. The first screen looks something like this:
Click on the AirPort Extreme and another screen will appear. Click Edit, then the window with the Wireless tab will appear.
If you do not see these screens, you will need to start over and configure your AirPort again. -

I Cannot Add Buddies in iChat 4 and 5
Many people are reporting that they cannot add Buddies to either iChat 4 or iChat 5.
The Symptoms are that the Buddy appears in the Buddy List and then does the "Brightening/Fading" cycle but fails to be anywhere in the list including Off Line Buddies.
To Show Off Line Buddies, highlight the Buddy list to bring to the "front".
Then go to the View Menu and Enable Show Off Line Buddies.
(there is also an Option to display these in a separate Group).
There can be many causes and I will attempt to deal with then in the order that they are most likely.
A) The Contact is already in the Address Book.
When Adding a Buddy via the use of the + Sign at the Bottom of the Buddy List (Then Add Buddy) or invoking it from the Buddies menu a drop down appears to slide down out of the Buddy List Header area
In this slide out/drop down, you get the chance to Add the Screen Name and then the First Name Last Name details of the Buddy.
iChat checks the Address Book and if the First Name, Last Name items do not match any contact in the Address Book already then the Buddy will be added to the Buddy list.
As the Address Book does not allow two contacts to have the same name they will not be added to the iChat Buddy List if the name exists already.
In iChat 3 and earlier there was an Error Message that popped up saying there was Feedbag Error

Note: AIM Protocols call Lists "Feedbags". Contents (Buddies) are "Food" and of course Food is kept in Feedbags.
The Address Book is one Feedbag in this case and the Screen Name (only) Buddy List held on the AIM Server is the other.
The Software puts the two together for Display purposes
The Fix.
Either:
1) Add them as Screen Name only
2) Use the Arrow head at the end of the Last Name line to open the Address Book and pick the Contact.
3) Open the Address Book and Edit their Card to Add the Screen Name, then drag them from the Name column to the iChat Buddy List.
4) During any type of Chat use the item in the Buddies Menu to Add the person (it will display their Screen Name in Dark text if not in the Buddy List - Then item 2 can also be used)
B) Parental Controls
There are similar Symptoms if the Mac User Account is subject to Parental Controls.
If the Mac User Account on the computer is not an Admin account it is a Standard or Managed one
A Managed one has Parental Controls Enabled.
There is a Tab for Mail and iChat.
If it is turned on for iChat then all buddies are Blocked initially (in iChat 4 Jabber and Bonjour Buddy List cannot be used.)
Adding AIM valid Screen Names (AIM, Those with either @mac.com or @me.com endings) to the allow List Unblocks those Buddies and they will show in the Buddy List as On or Off line
The Fix.
In this case if you are the Managed account you have to get the Admin account to add the Buddy to the Buddy allowed list in Parental Controls.
Exception
There is a very large exception.
Due to the fact that the way Parental Controls blocks names until they appear in the Allow List there can be a problem if testing the same iChat Details in a Test Account.
Lets say you are the Admin User on the Mac.
You set up a second Mac User Account called Test.
In this you set up iChat with the same details (Screen name) you use in your Main Mac User Account.
You then test Parental Controls by turning it On and setting the iChat Limit option.
Then you add to the allow List one or two AIM valid names.
You check iChat and find they are the only Buddies that show up.
It works, so you return to your main Mac User Account and discover that most of your Buddies are missing.
On checking the iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts > Security Tab you find the Allow Specific People option is Enabled and the list only includes those Buddies you set in Parental Controls.
Choosing allow All does not seem to bring back the Buddies even if you Log out of the Test Mac User Account.
The Fix Here
Is to Disable all the Parental Control Settings again (Remove names from any list) before Logging out of the Test Mac User Account.
The cause is partly to do with the Setting in iChat > Preferences > General Section that reads "When I quit iChat, Set the Status to Off Line" which is not the default - leaving a partial login for Off Line Messaging. As a consequence your Buddy List is constantly being told to block certain Screen Names.
A Variation on this is if you have Two Log-ins of your Screen Name from either different apps or computers.
Altering the Buddy List in one effects the other login. The computer or app that was logged in first take precedence.
C) Adding Buddies as the wrong type (In Buddy List - But always Off Line)
This applies more to iChat 4 than it does to iChat 5
At the Add Buddy Screen/Slide in iChat 4 you have to choose if the Buddy is an AIM, @mac. or MobileMe name in a drop down.
The software shows the @mac.com or @me.com endings in grey in the Screen Name text field and adds this for you.
This can lead to Buddies being added as the wrong type as in ralphjohnsr added as [email protected] etc.
It can also lead to people being added with 2 @ symbols in the Screen Name ([email protected]@mac.com) and iChat not always telling you this is not allowed.
In both iChat 4 and 5, as Jabber IDs/Screen Names also look like Email Addresses, we have to also consider whether AIM names have been added to a Jabber List or Jabber Names added to AIM valid Lists.
D) Plain old Typos
Here I am talking about misreading someone's Screen Name and typing that in (Such as receiving and email with a Screen Name in it and typing the letter O for 0 (zero).)
And of course, just plain typing mistakes.
The Fix for C) and D)
The Buddy in this case will be in the Buddy List but will always be Off line
Highlight the Buddy with one click.
Do a Get Info (Apple()/Command(⌘) key and I key together) and their Info card will show up.
Correct as Required.

Do you mean under the {color:green}View{color} menu where I see Show Offline Buddies? (both iChat 4.0.8 and 5.0.3)
A)… In the {color:red}slide out that appears from the top{color} of the Buddy list you get the chance to Add the Screen Name and then the First Name Last Name details of the Buddy.
I kept looking for a button for the "slide out" at the top of the Buddy list. Found out it's the dialog box that appears when you click "+" (Add a new buddy…) at the bottom of the list. Yes, I can act like a beginner too
(Slide out to me sounds like a sideways slide out, versus a Pop Up or Pop Down Dialog box).

Sony. Is a absolute joke. This issue has been going on for FOUR YEARS for some users. And now. Last month. I brought like 3 games. Then. All of a sudden. Cannot add funds using PayPal. Says credit card invalid. Ah. Yeah right. i have used paypal all this year. But now mysteriously. It doesnt work. I spent the past month a good $1,000 on ebay. With paypal. But now magically sony doesnt take my paypal. So i use credit card. Says card not valid. This is through the webisite on computer. I go to PS4. I try it. Says address not valid or something. Seriously. So for what. Its June. So for six months. I have used PayPal no problem. Now magically sony decides to say not valid. My credit card doesnt expire until 2016. Thats what. 2016. My address is correct. Some users say sony changed things. So you have to put your address exactly like your statement. Dont know if this is true or not But why has it worked for six months. Not now. I love playstation. I have all systems. But I love playstation the best. But guess what. I ended up going onto my xbox one. And buying, pre ordering $500 worth of games. Guess what. My paypal worked straight away. Ironic dont you think. Me and other gamers options is to only buy PSN cards. But ironically. You can only have $150 in your wallet at once. Why. Thats just dumb. Considering games are $100. I was all cashed up this month. As I got some money from my grandfather who past. I was ready to put $1,000 in my wallet. But guess what. Limit to $150. So obviously sony doesnt want our money. But makeing us jump through hoops. This is without a doubt the most unproffesional. Annoying. Frustrating thing ever. And it keeps saying. Address not valid for paypal. You serious. I spent $1,000 on ebay. But now you say my address is wrong. So I guess all these parcels I have been getting from ebay, is wrong address, even though I am getting every single parcel. You know what sony. I am done with you. I dont care if the main reason I turned to sony is the xbox one keeps crashing to dashboard. I dont care if ps4, has better grahpics, controller. you know what. I am going to sell my ps4 on ebay for $1. And be done with sony. I am done with it. And going back to xbox one. Xbox one may have its faults. But at least I can use paypal and a credit card. So what. I am limited to buying $50 PSN cards from ebgames. Thats so much fun. So I want to buy 5 games. So lets see. I have to buy what. Games are $100 in australia. So I have to buy 20 PSN cards. Oh. What fun. Scratching all those cards, putting in all the codes. A hour later. Then finally i can buy games. Which takes me what. A minute to do on xbox one. As paypal, credit card works on xbox one. You think I am just ranting. Go google search. This has been a issue for four years. I am done with sony. This is a joke. Sony is the most unproffesional company ever. You fanboys may live in denial. But its the truth. And dont tell me to check cards, information. What part are you missing. For past six months. Same paypal, same card, worked perfectly. Nothing has changed. The only thing that changes was. I brought three $100 games at once. Now this credit card information invalid crap. You lost so much money out of me this past months sony. I got like $7,000 from my grandfather passing. And guess what. Its now all going to xbox one. How about them apples sony. How about them apples.
I got mine fixed. I emailed support. Took forever many emails, and eventually they fixed it. Basically they said. Some security thing, they stop funds. So they didnt say outright. But basically from what they said is. They have a limit each day on what you can spend in store. Already the PSN wallet has a limit of $150. Thats all you can add. When my account stopped working. I spend like around $300. As I brought 3 games. But one of those games was say $160, as it was like a special edition thing, so I assume if you either spend over the $150, or max $300. It stops. Which is just wrong. So say for example. Three new releases where out today. And we all wanted to buy them. But we cannot. What is it. per day. or do I have to buy one game, wait afew hours, then buy another. The support person didnt say any amount, or what exactly it was, but from just what they where saying, it sounds like they have a limit on what you can spend each day, but they werent allowed to say. I also have a xbox one and Wii U. And its so much easier buy games on Wii U and xbox one systems. Not to mention the headache with the new hard drive update with the Nyko Data Bank on PS4, i updated, and cannot use rest mode, and cannot play disc games, thanks sony, i upraded to a 4TB hard drive, but now i cannot play discs, or rest mode. Why cant you be just like Wii U and Xbox ONe and use external hard drives. Xbox one lets you use upto 16TB, SO yeah. I eventually got it fixed. I was going to buy all my multi platform games on ps4, and only exclusives on xbox one, but you know what, from now on, I am buying all my multi platform games on xbox one, and Only buying exclusives on ps4, Dont get me wrong. I am not a fanboy. And there are things I dont like about xbox one, or wii u. You cannot use a USB headset on them, but you can with PS4, as I use the Kraken USB headset on ps4, But apart from that. Xbox One controller is better, the ps4 is to noisy, and other above reasons, And not only that. I am in Australia. And out internet, i can download on xbox one, 3GB a hour, which is around the same speed i get on PC Steam, on ps4, i am lucky to downoad 1GB a hour.

My bookmarks disappeared just before I left for Christmas. Not having time to deal with it then, I found a copy of html bookmarks that seemed to be current and made a copy of it. This copy starts up Firefox and opens in a window. I can use it to get to my sites. However I cannot import it to my bookmarks. I also cannot add a bookmark in real time. Using your forum, I decided to add the plug-in Torbutton. It did not help and something keeps turning it off. I even tried to import my old IE bookmarks since they have not changed a lot. Everything acts like it has worked but nothing shows up.
No, I see the three areas at the bottom of the Bookmark area that you refer to, but that also highlights an issue. When I want to save a story to my Reading List and click on Share then "Add to Reading List" then go back to look at what is stored in the Reading List, my recently-saved item is not there.
I looked thru the History tab and the Reading List tab and have been in the Bookmark tab. But even when I Save a Bookmark, that newly-saved Bookmark does not show up in the Bookmark area.
But then again, the next day (and actually just in the last half-hour) all of the functionality came back. When I look at the Bookmarks, suddenly, again, all of the Bookmarks that are on my Safari browser on my iMac are now there, and I can now Save a Bookmark.
It keeps coming in and out and that is what is driving me a little nuts.
