Cannot connect to Session broker server, but can to other servers in Cluster

Hi Everyone,
Hopefully this is the right place to post. Have searched quite a bit through the forums (not all 19000+ pages though), and can't seem to find a similiar issue.
I have also searched the internet and tried all solutions others with a similiar problem have.
This is my problem:
We have two servers running Server 2008 R2, set up as Remote Desktop Servers in a cluster setup.
The session broker is located on the second server (This is an active server which has sessions load balanced to it). There is also a DNS round robin setup
Problem: When sessions are allowed to be load balanced on Server2, then the users cannot connect to the cluster. The round robin seems to still send some sessions to the first server, and these seem to connect fine.
I suspected the issue was with the WMI Respository, and so started. I found a lot of errors, but have been unable to fix them.
I downlaoded the WMIDiag from Microsoft, and here is the report:

49196 15:56:44 (0) ** WMIDiag v2.1 ended on 15 April 2015 at 15:56 (W:110 E:41 S:1).
This seems to be the biggest problem:
48960 15:56:44 (1) !! ERROR: Actual trustee 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' DOES NOT match corresponding expected trustee rights (Actual->Default)
This seems to be the second biggest error (and there are a few of them):
0x80041002 - (WBEM_E_NOT_FOUND) Object cannot be found.
I have tried:
winmgmt /resyncperf
winmgmt /verifyrepository
winmgmt /salvagerepository
winmgmt /resetrepository
I have also tried registering the mof files with
MOFCOMP <FileName.mof>
Lastly, I even disabled the WMI service, renamed the Repository folder, and had it rebuild the repository.
I got stuck on re registering the 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM' (I think it is in the Components section in Administrative tools), as I could not find clear instructions on exactly how to go about it.
Chkdsk found no errors
Sfc /scannow found no errors
winmgmt /verifyrepository finds no errors.
I'm hoping someone here might be able to steer me in the right direction to get this resolved, as I do not want to rebuild a server that hosts a connection broker and has over 100 user profiles on it, as well as some very annoying and finniky LOB apps installed,
which will have to manually be reinstalled for each profile.

Hi,
Here is a blog regarding how to fix WMI issue might be useful to you:
Fixing WMI issues Using Batch Script
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/6887.fixing-wmi-issues-using-batch-script.aspx
In addition, you mentioned Remote Desktop Servers are in a cluster setup, would you tell us how did you create the cluster?
As far as I know, with RD Connection Broker, we don’t need to create a cluster but just add multiple RD session hosts into one collection, then RD connection Broker would redirect sessions automatically.
Best Regards,
Amy

  • Cannot connect to RemoteApp (VDI mode) but can connect to full VDI desktop

Title says it all. I have a multiple server RDS farm. Gateway, license and broker are concentrated on one server. Several session hosts and they all work fine. They host full desktop sessions.
The problem started when we started to move to VDI (pooled managed). At first during testing everything was working in fine. We had started publishing our apps and it was working in our lab. We then tested for scale and deployment and everything was fine.
When we started to roll out, at some point during creating of the VDI vm's (we were testing with 5 and then deployed 50), it got interrupted and failed. We recreated all desktops and that finished OK.
Problem is: no one can connect to an app.
If I remove the published apps, everyone can get a VDI desktop, but as soon as I try to publish an app, then nothing. No errors generated... nothing. It looks like it is connecting but then nothing. The Remotepp window just silently closes.
    I have:
    1. Rebuilt then entire RD Host from bare metal
    2. Removed and re-added the gateway and connection broker services on the main server
    3. Rebuilt the template from scratch and republished
I get the exact same behavior. Users can get full managed VDI desktops... cannot get RemoteApps.
Unfortunately, I cannot destroy the entire RDS infrastructure and rebuild because it is a business critical part of our infrastructure.
I have combed through the registries looking for orphaned entries, etc. and nothing. I saw a few blog posts related to the local DB for the connection broker and have not tried digging into that. I DO NOT have connection broker running in HA.

    Hi Jason,
    Thanks for your comment.
First of all sorry for late response.
There are many issue which can be caused by WMI to deny access to retrieve connection list. You can try few things which is quoted from below thread.
    1. Check if the "TS Web Access Computers" security group on the RDSH server has incorrect permissions in DCOM and/or WMI:
       For checking DCOM security settings:
       1. Start the Component Services MMC snapin
       2. Navigate to Component Services -> Computers -> My Computer
       3. Right-click on My Computer and select properties
       4. Go to the COM Security tab
       5. Under Access Permissions, click the Edit Limits button
       6. Ensure that TS Web Access Computers is in the list, with all of the permissions set to “allow”.
       7. Under Launch and Activation Permissions, click the Edit Limits button
       8. Ensure that TS Web Access Computers is in the list, with all of the permissions set to “allow”.
       For checking WMI security settings:
       1. Start the WMI Control MMC snapin
       2. Right-click the WMI Control node and select properties
       3. Go to the Security tab
       4. Navigate to Root->CIMV2->TerminalServices
       5. With TerminalServices selected, click the Security button
       6. Ensure that TS Web Access Computers is in the list with Execute Methods, Enable Account, and Remote Enable set to "allow"
    2.  Verify the RD Session Host server's firewall allows WMI calls.
    3. Verify that the RD Connection Broker hasn't lost its trust relationship with the domain.
    4. See if non-RDS related WMI calls can be successfully made to the RDSH server. This can help differentiate between a general WMI issue and an issue calling the RDS WMI provider.
    More information.

  • Cannot connect to the secure network but can to the guest network

I have three computers in my home, all Apple. One is an iMac with 10.5 installed, another is a powerbook g4 17" with 10.5 installed and the third is an old titanium powerbook g4 15" with 10.4 installed. All of them have the newest versions of software.
I just bought a new time capsule and that has the newest firmware upgrade installed. I set the time capsule up with a secure WPA Personal network and a guest network with no password. I can connect to the secure network on the iMac and the 17" powerbook but the titanium powerbook cannot even see the secure network or connect to it if I enter it and put in the correct password. However the titanium powerbook can see and connect to the guest network.
Please help, I need to be able to print from the titanium powerbook to an ethernet printer connected to the time capsule.
I've tried adding a wireless client with no password in airport utility thinking I could connect the titanium powerbook that way and that does not work either.

Actually I have figured it out. I guess the titanium powerbooks cannot do WPA encryption, only WEP but I cannot choose WEP in the airport utility nor do I want to. I did find a work around though.
In airport utility I went to the base station menu and clicked on "equivalent network password" and it shows the WPA password and then something called "WPA Pre-Shared Key". The key is a 64 character password but I tried it on the titanium powerbook and it worked!

  • Some users cannot "see" broadcast Public Access SSID but can all others...

I've had 4 users in the last 3 days who've reported not being able to see our broadcast "public access" wifi SSID. Numerous users (even in same area, attached to same AP) can see it - however some cannot. The do see all of the other broadcast SSIDs, just not the public. The public is open and broadcast with security enabled. Does anyone know if this is a client issue - possible with a recent AV or MS security update? ("protecting" clients from unsecured networks by not displaying them?)

If you notice that at a given time some users can and other can't see the ssid, it almost points to the client side. Compare drivers from the two clients and see if the driver versions are the same or old.

  • Fatal Error Adobe cannot connect to a DDE server.

Just started getting this error message "Fatal Error Adobe cannot connect to a DDE server." Can save files to PDF but then cannot open them. Using current Adobe 11 with Windows 8, using Norton Security Suite. Sometimes it will say Fatal error Adobe and at other times it will say Acrobat.

    Hi snowbird1,
Thank You for posting on the forums. The probable cause of the error is, multiple processes of Acrobat/Reader running in the background.
Kindly follow the steps mentioned below and check, if it helps.
    1) Press CTRL+ALT+DEL together
    2) Go to the Task Manager
    3) Go to Processes in the Task Manager and kill al the processes related to Acrobat/Reader.
    4) Launch Reader/Acrobat (It should launch without an error).
To further isolate the issue you might want to run Acrobat/Reader in an environment where no other services are running.
This can be achieved via "MSCONFIG"
    1) Click on start type run
    2) Type MSCONFIG in the run prompt
    3) Go to services and click on hide all Microsoft services
    4) Click disable all
    5) Go to the startup in configuration window and disable all startup items
    6) Restart your system
    7) Launch Acrobat/Reader
If, it is launched without an error, a service on your system is conflicting with Acrobat/Reader.
    Thanks,
    Vikrantt Singh

because the client may be behind a Special firewall ,So he may connect to the FMS server ,but can not  use P2P to connect to the  members those are in the  group?
If the answer is "yes",Whether i should make a check function that make these client  back to "RTMP"?

  • Emails are "stuck" in my Apple Mail Outbox. I have deleted the account and reinstalled but still have the problem. Apple's "Network Diagnostics" report that it cannot connect to the SMPT server.

Emails are l "stuck" in my Apple Mail Outbox. I have deleted the account and reinstalled but still have the problem. Apple's "Network Diagnostics" report that it cannot connect to the SMPT server. TalkTalk (Tiscali) say there is no problem with their server because I have checked and can send emails with their webmail.

    No that is not it:
Open Mail>Preferences>Accounts, the first page has this on it
If you click on the server name in the box (gmail in your case I assume) it opens and reveals this:
If you select Edit SMTP Server list you get this:
Post it here and, select the Advanced Tab (which looks like this)
    Post this page as well.

  • I have a update waiting and the box that says software update trys to connect to the update server but it can't do you have any help for me cause its saying i need this update real bad

firefox says i have a update waiting but i try to install it and the software update box pops up and says (connecting to the update server) but thats as far as it goes can you please help me solve this issure

Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.<br />
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.
    XP:
    C:\Documents and Settings\&lt;user&gt;\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
    (%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
    Do a clean (re-)install:
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
    * It may not be necessary to create a new profile, so first try if it works with your current profile and if not then create a new profile.
You do not need to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

for usability, performance reasons, as of 9i DB R2 we are discontinuing J2EE and CORBA stack support from within the database
EJBs should be deployed rather in iAS/OC4J - I won't get cycles from dev team to debug EJB in Database - unless it is a high priority/production system then customer should file a bug

    Hi folks,

    javax.naming.CommunicationException: Unbekannter Dienst: 192.168.2.150:2481:rdrsl

  • Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server

I've been invited to a shared review on Acrobat.com. When I download and open the PDF from the Acrobat.com invitation email, I get this error message:
Acrobat cannot connect to the Review Server: Adobe online services.
If I click the "Check for new comments" button in the upper right corner, I get this message:
Could not get new comments. Acrobat did not get a response from the server. Try again later or contact your system administrator.
I can't see other reviewers' comments and can't post my own. I'm definitely online and connected, so not sure what's happening, but have had this error for several weeks now.
    My system:
    Acrobat XI Pro
    MacBook Pro OS X 10.8.5
    Safari browser 6.0.5
My Creative Cloud desktop app says Acrobat XI is up to date. I also have Photoshop CC installed.
I've tried logging into Acrobat.com with my Adobe ID before and after opening the PDF, nothing works. Also tried clearing my cache. Is there something in my Acrobat preferences that could be the issue?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Mark

I am having a similar problem. The review was set up as a test. All our PC colleagues can access as normal. Our 2 Mac machines are not having luck.
    Acrobat 10.1.8 Pro
    Macbookpro OSX 10.8.5
Error: Could not get new comments. Acrobat did not get a response from the server. Try again later or contact your system administrator.
Could not get new comments. Acrobat did not get a response from the server. Try again later or contact your system administrator.
I'm guessing maybe a proxy issue?... what protocol/port is acrobat tryng to use?
(I tried process above with no luck)

  • ICloud says it cannot connect me to the server

I have lost the phone numbers in my contacts on my iphone 4S. I figured that using iCloud from my PC I would be able to recover them. When I try to sign in to iCloud from my PC, I get a message saying that it cannot connect me to the server. I can tell that my iCloud password on my phone is not correct but when I correct it, it reverts back to the old one. I can't figure out how to save it,and its the only thing I can see that might be preventing me access. I downloaded the latest version of iOS to see if that would help and it didn't. Any ideas?

I'm getting the same thing. I JUST bought mine too...
I was immediately sold once I played with it at the Apple Store but they forget to warn you there's a lot of setting up.
I'm tempted to go to an Apple store and tell them, I just wanna walk into my local coffee shop and be able to use their free wifi... what are the steps I need to take?
With my laptop all I have to do is turn on the airport and then I'm on the internet... with the iPod Touch seems like you have to go through **** and back - I started doing research on troubleshooting with iPod Touch, even called a person at the Apple store and then I see all these posts of routers, IP addresses, DCHP, reset settings and it's REALLY REALLY confusing for someone who's not that computer savvy - I thought Apple was user friendly. I really hope it's not that hard.
If you find results, please let me know. I've gone cross eyed from reading too much about this somewhat simple yet extremely complicated device.

  • BPC 75M - Modify Application error "Cannot connect to the Reporting Server"

I have trouble with Modify Application, also in ApShell. Maybe you have a clue what it can be the problem.
    Configuration: single server BPC 7.5M SP3, Windows Server 2008 SP2, SQL Server 2008 SP2
Installation user is a domain user.
No errors during installation, no error in Server Manager diagnostics.
But when I try to modify an Application from BPC Admin it gives an error for step "Make OLAP database and Journal/Audit reports. / Validate dimension formulas.".
In tblLogs I see the error message:

There were problems accessing the web page   HTTP://server/reports
Error message:   "Reporting services 2008 user does not have required permissions"
It was possible to open the page  HTTP://server/reports with local administrator user and  I fixed this problem by performin following:
    - add Content Manager right to bpc installation user
    - disable UAC from Windows Control Panel  > User Accounts
Still Modify Application gives the same "Cannot connect to Reporting Services".
    I tried:
    - check that BPC Installation User is part of Local Administrators
    - reboot server
    - reinstall BPC after disabling UAC
    - reinstall everything except the Windows Server 2008
    - I installed another computer with the same exact configuration but with a local BPC Installation User and it works.
Have anyone installed BPC 7.5M SP3 on single Windows Server 2008 SP2 , with SQL Server 2008 SP2 and with BPC Installation user a domain user?
Maybe you have an idea of what I should check next.
    Thank you,
    Alex
