Carried forward issue

I want to post for the 2006 and i have already posted in 2007.
Please let me know how to delete the entried in 2007 ?.
Ranjit

Are you refering to the Year-End Closing: Carryforward of Open Items? If so the the entry to Undo the Carryfoward is FMJ3. If you are talking about an FI document then the transaction to reverse the 2007 entry is FB08 and then you can post back to 2006.

  • Balance Carry Forward issue

When doing a balance carry forward, the retained earning accounts carryforward is appearing under the P&L carryforward as opposed to the balance sheet process. Due to this, the retained earnings carryforward is only happening at the GL account + Co Cd level (and PCA if doing a PCA carry forward). WE need it to be in the Balance Sheet carry forward so it can be rolled over at a more detailed level (namely Trading partner, Transaction type etc).
Since retained earnings account is a Balance sheet account, it would be safe to assume that it would appear under the Balance Sheet carryforward process. However, because that is not happening and its being included in the P&L carryforward, manual reclass entries need to be posted with the correct code block elements.
Does anyone know if this is something maintained at a configurational level? Any help would be highly appreciated.

At the year-end, you "roll over" all of your P&L account balances to the retained earnings account (which is a balance sheet account) so you could show the P+L result in the balance sheet in the equity section.  It is very logical that you see the retained earnings account in the P&L carryforward.  In FS00, all of your P&L accounts have a retained earnings account type (X, e.g.) that is linked to a GL account (which is the retained earnings balance sheet account).  Balance sheet accounts in FS00 are not assigned to any retained earnings acct type.

  • Issue with carry forward quota

    Hi All
We are facing an issue related to carry forward quota (from 2013 to 2014) for annual leave. The C/F quota for 2014 had already been generated for the employees, however, when we are trying to re-run PT60 today (from 01.01.2014 to 'as on today'), the quota is getting wiped off (value is zero).
Time type is being used to store the value but this is being calculated as zero due to which quota is also coming as zero.
Can you please advise how to resolve this? Thank you.
    Regards
    Neha

    Hi Vivek
Thank you for reply. No leave was applied for 2013 after C/F quota was generated; only for 2014 leaves had been applied. Moreso, the result is coming differently in dev / quality systems. There has been no change in schema per se, but I can still see different processing happenings across both systems and hence, different values for time types. Data is same in both the systems.
In any case will ping you on communicator tom for your help

  • New GL carry balance forward issue

We have a new SAP environment.
it was created with new GL Active, however we have not done any document splitting.
The update to GLT0 was deactivated.
We are running a year end, and i would normally use t code f.16 to carry forward the balances.
I cant run this as it says the update to GLTO is not active.
Therefore the question I have is how do you carry forward balances in the new GL?
What is the t code? is there a different t code for F.07, which is for payables and receivables?

    OK
After running the new program I get the following message
Fiscal year variant BF is not maintained for calendar year 2008
    Message no. FGV002
I have looked on OSS regarding FGV002, and it seems to point to some Controlling issues
Do you know about this as well, or anybosy else?

  • Customer line items with balance carry forward no opening balance

    Hello FI Experts,
We have ticket where the user is using a Z* Report for Customer line items with balance carry forward. In 31.01.2007 user has posted some legacy data, latter he was executing this Z* report then user can see the values posted on the same day (31.01.2007) as line items. But he was executing the report on 01.02.2007 then he was not able to see the line item as well as the values posted on 31.01.2007 as opening balance as on 01.02.2007. But if we run the report as on 01.01.2008 then we are able to see the values which are carry forwarded as opening balances. Did anyone have worked on this type of scenario?
Requirement Here Is:  The values that have been posted on 31.03.2007 which are still open line items should get displayed as opening balance as on 01.02.2007.
Thanks for helping on this issue.

    Hi,
Any report will get data from Tables. Please check whether the table you have used to develop this report has opening balance.
Balance will be carry forwarded only when you run the balance carry forward program. Check whether this was run for the date you have specified. This can be done in the year end.
If you are checking in the middle of the year, then the balance will not be carry forwarded.

    B. Radhika.

  • Internal Order Residual Balance carry forward.

    Hello Team,
I am new dealing with Internal Orders, but I would like some guidance on the following:
1- We created an internal order las year in Nov. 2007, but when I did the balance carry forward it appeares that the residual balance for I/O did not transferred. I noticed that by running report S_ALR_87013019. At the time of a creation of PO the system wll give me a msg of budget exceeded. So how do I Carry forward the residual budget into the new year? the only way I was able to resolve the issue for now is by deactivating the I/O T-code T-code K032 but then this defeats the purpose of I/O
2- How do I set-up tolerance leve for each I/O. I would ilke for user to get a warning 10% before teh budget is about to be exceed and a hard stop 10% after it has ben execeed.
3- How can I configure I/O to send e-mails to managers when budget hits the tolerance level.
    Thank You,
    Frank F.

Hello and thank you for your reply. But I encoutered the following:
1- I already have budget profile set-up in OKOB
When I went to the menu path that you gave me
    (Controlling> Internal Orders> Budgeting and Availability Control-->
Define Tolerance Limits for Availability Control)
Under availability control I only show activate- K030 and deactivate K032. I did not see Define Tolerance Limits for Availabilty control.
So I am still at a stand still. as to how to set-up Tolerance levels and how to assign it to I/O.
but, you answer the e-mail notification, we do not have workflow set-up so it will not work.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Best practices when carry forward for audit adjustments

    Dear experts,
I would like to know if someone can share his best practices when performing carry forward for audit adjustments.
We are actually doing legal consolidation for one customer and we are facing one issue.
The accounting team needs to pass audit adjustments around April-May for last year.
So from January to April / May, the opening balance must be based on December closing of prior year.
Then from May / June to December, the opening balance must be based on Audit closing of prior year.
We originally planned to create two members for December period, XXXX.DEC and XXXX.AUD
Once the accountants would know their audit closing balance, they would have to input it on the XXXX.AUD period and a business rule could compute the difference between the closing of AUD and DEC periods and store the result on an opening flow.
The opening flow hierarchy would be as follow:
    F_OPETOT (Opening balance Total)
        F_OPE (Opening balance from December)
F_OPEAUD (Opening balance from the difference between closing balance of Audit and December periods)
Now, assume that we are in October, but for any reason, the accountant run a carry forward for February, he is going to impact the opening balance because at this time (October), we have the audit adjustments.
How to avoid such a thing? What are the best practices in this case?
I guess it is something that you may have encounter if you did a consolidation project.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Antoine Epinette

Cookman and I have been arguing about this since the paleozoic era. Here's my logic for capturing everything.
Less wear and tear on the tape and the deck.
You've got everything on the system. Can't tell you how many times a client has said "I know that there was a better take." The only way to disabuse them of this notion is to look at every take. if it's not on the system, you've got to spend more time finding the tape, and adding "wear and tear on the tape and the deck." And then there's the moment where you need to replace the audio for one word from another take. You can quickly check all the other takes (particularly if you've done a thorough job logging the material - see below)_.
Once it's on the system, you still need to log and learn the material. You can scan thru material much faster once it's captured. Jumping around the material is much easier.
There's no question that logging the material before you capture makes you learn the material in a more thorough way, but with enough selfdiscipline, you can learn the material as thoroughly once it's been captured.

  • Carry forward receivable/payable

    Dear Expert,
We are going to run F.07 to carry forward receivalbe and payable. Before execute this transaction, we check the customer and vendor balance via FD10N and FK10N, it is strange that many open items has been carried. not only those items posted after 2010-12-31 even some items posted in 2008. We checked the system log, no one has run F.07 during 2010. Is there any possible reason for this issue? Thanks in advance!

    Hello ,
the carry forward is not executed before 2010 because many open item posted in 2009 and 2010 is carried to 2011, include posting entered on 30 Dec 2010. Is there any other suggestion? Thanks!

  • BPC10NW: Error while running Balance Carry Forward

    Hi,
I am trying to run 'Balance Carry Forward' (COPYOPENING) to copy opening balances from 2010.DEC to 2011.JAN.
The 'Opening Balances' package fails with "RUN_LOGIC:Cannot find document/directory" error.
The Copyopening.lgf is available and is been validated successfully.
We have refered to the below link but still the opening balances is failing with the same error.

    Hi,
I have found similar issues with business rules in v10.
Can you just try to include this in Default logic and see if you can get it to run from a sent record. I know that this is not necessarily the nicest approach as you would normally like to run the package from DM, but I could not get certain things to run from DM.
If (like me) you can get it to run via Default, you could then trigger this by sending a dummy record to a dummy account.
I know it's not ideal but until this is fixed (I think it may be a bug) then this could be a solution.
Let me know if this helps at all.
    Tom.

  • Balance Carry Forward in New GL - Substitute RMVCT

    Hi,
We have assignet the Consolidation Scenario to our main ledger in New GL, so that the field RMVCT is part of the FAGLFLEXT table.
We would like to have a unique movement code in the balance carry forward, for example F00.
We can map any filled movement code to a specific carry forward movement code, that's fine (table T856 allows that in the definition of the movement code).
But, and that is the issue, for balance sheet account without movement code, the balance carried forward has also no movement code, and I don't see the way to substitute the value to get F00 also for these account (there is no BSEG entry for the balance carry forward operations).
    Thanks for an anwser.

  • Problem with balance carry forward business rule and automatic adjustments

    Hi All,
I faced with issue when run BCF business rule and consolidation process. According sap courses BPC440 members with A(automatic adjustments) type should carry forward automatically, and I(imputable), M (adjustments) members should carry forwarded by bcf business rule.
When I set up my BCF business rule I use property "Category_for_ope" in Category dimension. But this rule not work properly, then I use notes:
1784365 - Category_for_ope property should not effect Consolidation.
1902677 - The property category_for_ope shall work for consolidation
After applying those notes, system work as I aspect. After i run consolidation first time system carry forward my automatic adjustment from Category "Expected" to "PLAN_Y0" and this is correct!!!. But when i run consolidation process second and third time system duplicated automatic adjustments in Category "PLAN_Y0".
Someone can help me with this Issue?
    And sorry for my english

    Hi,

    *RUN_PROGRAM COPYOPENING
    CATEGORY = %C_CATEGORY_SET%
    CURRENCY = %RPTCURRENCY_SET%

  • Wrong balance carried forward...

    Hi
    Issue:
We have Jan-Dec Fiscal year, however one of our resource wrongly ran the Balance carry Forward program for FY 2013, due to which the balances are carried forward to 2013 year. The consequences is GLT0 was updated with 2013 entries which was not expected. Kindly advice how to reverse BCF happened for 2013 or How to remove balance for 2013 from GLT0 table which wrongly entered.
    Please reply

    Hi,
Run balance carryforward programs for FY 2012 again.
There is no harm while performing the above again.
Once GLT0 is carriforward to future year, you cannot remove them, Since there wont be any issue here also. Let it be there.
So in FY 2013, just run these programs again to adjust those opening balances, which are not updated to the table.

  • Balance carried forward- FAGLGVTR

Hiii experts... user wants to run FAGLGVTR for year end activities but they are finding that some a/cs have account balance diffrenences... sooo they have question.. that when they run faglgvtr .. which date is considered...like Posting date or entry date???? as many documents have entry date(05.04.2014)  of  current year  and posting date in the previous year((01.03.2014)..Please guide me
    Thanks& regards
    Abhay Parekh

    Hi
If the posting date for the documents is in previous fiscal year, they will be considered for balance carry forward to current year. There is no issue from system perspective since the documents are in previous fiscal year based on posting date
However, please check if there are any controls or audit issue for your client if the documents are posted with a document date in future.

  • Time Management: Carry Forward.

    Hi Experts,
Fine below the issue i have in TM
There is a configuration for the max number of days carried forward to the next year, 2012 as 6 days.
HR have made an exception this year, due to many employees not having taken most of their leave.
they would like the full balance of leave accumulated in 2011 to be carried forward to 2012, January and must be consumed by March 31st 2012 (end of our financial year)
This applies only to Annual Leave earned at the rate of 2.5 days per month so 30Days by end of December in any calendar year.
    Appreciate your response.
    Regards
    Rajesh.N.S

In this case use Quota corrections better As you told Exception only not changing business process right..
If changes in total business you can change configuration or any PCR already writen...Exceptional case you have to use Quota corrections (IT2013) only...
