CatOS 7.1(x) code - failed TFTP config push issues

All,
I have found that CatOS 7.1(1) & 7.1(2) running on multiple platforms (tested on WS-C4006 and WS-C6509 so far) does not properly work when trying to push a configuration change up to the device from a TFTP server.  Our scripts (and I also executed each snmpset manually from the CLI to make sure it wasn't a script issue) can successfully push and pull configs on other CatOS versions on both 4000 and 6000 devices but so far has failed on every attempt for 7.1(1) & 7.1(2) code on multiple platforms.  I can't find anything on CCO or the internet where someone has run into this before.
Anyone seen anything similar?
We do large scales changes on many networks during maintainence windows and not having these devices work via SNMP and forcing us to use the CLI is a big time factor that is hindering our productivity.  Would like to know why these fail and if there is a workaround/solution?  Or do they not support SNMP/TFTP config change methods for whatever reason?
When pushing a config change up to one of these devcie usign the 7.1.x code the status MIB will report back a 2 which means it was successful.  But the change never shows up in the config.  I'm simply trying to change the system contact in the config during my proof of concept until I found out what this issue is.
Thanks in advance for any and all help/sugeestions,
Steve

Joe,
First off thanks for any and all help that you can provide.  Here are the OIDs that I hit to push a cfg from the TFTP server to the remote CatOS switch.  I am successful in pushing changes to a 6509 running 6.5 code and 7.6(8) code but have failed to push to multiple models of CatOS devices running 7.1(1) or 7.1(2) code to date.  I can pull the cfg from these 7.1(x) boxes without a problem.  But for test purposes we have tried jsut simply changing the system contact to see if this works or not and like I said so far its has not yeilded any successful results for 7.1(x) code.
snmpwalk -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.3.1.1.17      <<<< se what slot the SUP module is located first
snmpwalk -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5
snmpset -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.1.0 string
snmpset -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.2.0 string textfile.txt
snmpset -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.3.0 i 1
snmpset -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.4.0 i 2
snmpwalk -c .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.5
When we originally discovered this it was run through a script.  but through testing out using the manaual process via CLI even manaually running the snmpsets and walks fail also.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

  • WDS PXE Problems on 1 model of PC only - The following Client failed TFTP Download - Error Code 1460

    Hey all,
I am experiencing a problem with my WDS PXE Environment, with 1 specific model of PC's only. This is a Dell XPS machine with an Intel e1000 nic in it.
The problem is that when you PXE Boot, it starts off fine, and I reach a menu that has all of my boot images listed, but as soon as you pick one it hangs on a black screen.
From the event viewer on the server I can see the following entry:
The Following Client failed TFTP Download:
    IP: 10.130.148.211
    Filename: \Boot\Boot.SDI
    ErrorCode: 1460
I've done some google searching and found some topics that could be related, but none of the fixes mentioned helped me. This is the one I tried:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserversetup/thread/a1246f62-6a8a-482b-9323-7e02dfeab196/#52aaf6fb-9494-4327-bbc3-8afe3e78905c
The problem I had was that the link they gave to the Hotfix, doesnt actually have anyway to download the hotfix!!
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/975710
    Although
I am not convinced that packet size is the problem here, more likely some network or disk controller driver issues??
    No
idea at all where to go from here. It is only this one model of PC that fails, and all others work fine. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be very greatly appreciated.
    I
would be happy to provide you with any additional details you may require.
    Thanks,
    -Ben

Try re-starting admin server by doing:
    1) emctl stop oms -all
    2) Check if any java processes are running from middleware (ps -ef | grep EMGC_ADMINSERVER, ps -ef | grep EMGC_OMS1, ps -ef | grep <MW_HOME>) and kill them using 'kill -9'
    3) emctl start oms
    4) Re-try plug-in deployment
I think as long as admin server is in FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE state, plug-in deployment cannot succeed.

  • Java APM Agent initialization failed: SEAgent.config.xml does not have a valid event sender configured

Today I tried to configure JAVA APM on a CentOS 6.4 server with tomcat6 installed through the normal RPM package. Adding this server to SCOM was no problem and it shows itself as a 'Deep Monitored Configuration'. The last part of enabling
JAVA APM fails. I have followed the following process:
    1. Imported the JAVA APM MP's
    2. Extracted the JAVA APM Files
    3. Copied those files to my CentOS server
    4. Added the JAVA_OPTS to my tomcat configuration file
    5. Restarted Tomcat
When I look for the log file which needs to be created through the installation of the APM agent it cannot be find. When I look into my Catalina.out file I see the following errors:

Does anyone have seen this error before? Can someone help me with this one?
    Thnx,

I'm running tomcat on a CentOS release 6.4 (Final) server. I installed Tomcat 6 through an RPM from the CentOS sources. I have installed Apache Tomcat/6.0.24 wit JVM version 1.7.0_09-icedtea-mockbuild_2013_01_16_18_52-b00, the JVM Vendor is Oracle Corporation.
My tomcat configuration needs to be done in '/etc/tomcat6/tomcat6.conf'
I installed the APM Agent in the path '/opt/apm/' with the rights  40755 (root/root). The files have the following rights:
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat  32046 Mar  3 15:38 apm_facade.jar
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat 244819 Mar  3 15:38 apm_monitor.jar

    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat    830 Mar  5 15:19 Starter.properties
The above rights are equal to the /etc/tomcat6 directory with the tomcat configuration files.
In the tomcat6.conf I have added the following entries:
    #Microsoft SCOM APM
    JAVA_OPTS="${JAVA_OPTS} -Djava.library.path=/opt/apm"
    JAVA_OPTS="${JAVA_OPTS} -javaagent:/opt/apm/apm_facade.jar -Xbootclasspath/p:/opt/apm/apm_producers.jar -Xbootclasspath/p:/opt/apm/apm_facade.jar"

Ok, This thread might be of interest (mainly the clarification in post #25) http://forums.novell.com/forums/nove...ols-howto.html
And the related TID (only as a reference in this case, not meant to apply that added python script) : CIFS not enabled properly on cluster resource that was created before upgrading to OES2 SP2
Curious if you are trying to add CIFS after having created the resources? But then still, it should not be an issue anymore (as in should have been fixed).

Why does a drive fail during config.... I am trying to control a machine using faulhaber motors (5 of them) with faulhaber controls, one drive fails during config (fatally fails) and it is not wired any different to any of the others... even with only 24v supply, it dies... Kindly help

    Hello Matt,
    Hope you keeping well..!!
We are communicating with external customers lync server through federation option setup on our corporate lync server.  We have received the federation setting from the customer with SIP address which has been setup on our corporate lync servers after
that we were able to browse the customer contact through corporate lync account.
We were also able to chat with external customer but however voice/video functionality are not working through same session.  Whenever we try to dial out external customer lync account it ended with error message "call ended due to network issue".
We have checked the setting from corporate lync servers and network point of view but doesn't find any issue which cause the disconnection to voice/video over lync.  Could you pl help or guide with the way.
    Thanks

The Sallen-Key lowpass filter has C3 connected at the R5-U2 junction, not as your image shows.
The attached file has the SPICE listing I used. Because I did only AC analysis, none of the DC sources are required. In the listing R2 is the parallel equivalent of your R2 || R3 = 50 kΩ. The op amps are modeled as linear voltage controlled voltage sources with gain of 1 (E1 and E2). R5 was omitted because no current would flow through it. In the corrected Sallen-Key circuit it will be necessary.  Resistors Rv1 and Re1 are probably not necessary but assure a DC path to ground from all nodes.  I do not have Multisim. These files are modeled with a SPICE 3f5 engine.
The file test 2 stage.txt is the listing for the circuit in your image and test 2 stage SK.txt is modified to represent the Sallen-Key circuit.
The plot below is my analysis of the Sallen-Key version.

  • Publish request fails for our new issue.

Publish request fails for our new issue. Is it the service or subscription problem? How do I find out?
    Thanks.

    It was neither.
Rebuilding the folio and uploading it again has solved my problem.

  • Call failed due to network issues

call failed due to network issues lync 2010 client. even when i'm trying to do a test call from my system, same error comes.

Please, share more details on error from logs. Also check firewall ports.
The Media Relay Authentication Service (MRAS) is responsible for notifying the Lync client of the STUN and TURN IP address for ICE.  This service
    run on UDP port 3478.
To check that the UDP port is open on the firewall between the Internal Lync clients and the Edge server running this service you can use the Microsoft tool PortQry

  • RMAN restore fails due to space issue

    Hi,
My database size is 225 GB . I m restoring the backupfiles using RMAN from production backup to the test instance.During restore process rman failed due to space issue. When the error occurred rman restored around 122 GB.
Now i increased the free space in server. So now my doubt is i have to delete the restored files (122GB) and start the restore process again or RMAN will automatically skip the the restored file and resume the process from where it was failed ?
    DB Version -11.2.0.2
    RMAN error
channel CH2: ORA-19870: error while restoring backup piece /ebs/DEV/backup/GOLD_db_t801111628_s10788_p1.rman
ORA-19502: write error on file "/ebs/DEV/bin/db/apps_st/data/a_txn_data11.dbf", block number 3492608 (block size=8192)
    ORA-27072: File I/O error
Linux-x86_64 Error: 28: No space left on device
    Additional information: 4
    Additional information: 3492608
    Additional information: -1
    Thanks

When you start the restore from the failure, RMAN knows whcih are restored and it will check file headers. if the headers match, it will skip restoring the files.
    Hope this helps,

  • Same Code Fails in OC4J 9.0.3

In an effort to find a solution to my transactional problem (See my other question in this forum marked URGENT), I started playing with OC4J 9.0.3 to see if that would make any difference. However, what I have found has all but compelled me to go "Office Space" on my computer. I cannot even find an answer to my transaction question because my code doesn't make it to that point. The first stage in the transaction is the parsing of am XML document. I have a class that wraps Oracle's XML parser V2 to do the parsing, and it works perfectly on OC4J 9.0.2.0.0. On 9.0.3, the parser fails because it seems to be finding these stray tags in the document that just aren't actually there. The code and the file are absolutely identical between the working case and the failing case; only the server version is different. So in trying to solve one problem, I have discovered a completely different one. Can anyone offer a possible explanation?
    Thanks a lot.

Thanks a lot. Hi Neil --
Sorry to see that you ran into this trying to test out the TX issue.
Can you post a code snippet on how you are using the parser - or perhaps even send me your test case if you are able to ([email protected]) - and some more details on what you are seeing (the phantom tags)
If you are a supported customer, then can I also ask you to log a TAR for this with support so we can have our support organization track it and also work on the issue.
    cheers
