CCMSPING Alerts for offline systems and agents

At the moment we monitor our systems with ccmsping and let send alerts for the following MTS classes:
Availability_SysPercent_ABAP
Availability_InstPercent
Availability_RFCPercent
Availability_GroupPercent
CsmTaskR3Instance.Availability
CsmTaskR3Instance.Heartbeat
Now the problem is, the alert will be generated only once for every threshold value. Once for green to yellow, from yellow to red and for zero availability. But we would like to send in a regular interval a mail for non availability to identify really offline systems or network gabs.
I've tried to change the following settings:
Which alerts should be kept?
Display all-clears in alert browser?
Set "Value Obsolete" and Inactive after
Also Trigger Heartbeat LAert?
But we have only three alerts for green to yellow, yellow to red and zero availability and nothing more.
What I have to do, to send mor the one alert for offline systems.

Hello Rene,
For performance MTEs it is only possible to raise an alert if the threshold is exceeded as you describe. This raises an alert only once because the threshold was met only once. I do not believe there is a standard method to repeat alerts without resetting the alert because what you describe is operating as designed. So there is no standard setting for this.

System Alerts for Bank Guarantees and Letter of Credits

Hi
My requirement is to get system alerts when the the Letter of Credit(LOC) or Bank Guarantee (BG) is going to be expired.
We are using Third Party software for master data and other information related to Letter of credit.
In SAP ,I will do special GL for LOC and assign to Reconciliation Account as per standard.
What is the best practice to get system allert, when ever the date is going to get expired.

Hi,
In case you want to send the last record only, then you can use following qurey
SELECT TOP 1 * FROM DBO.OVPM T0 WHERE T0.CashSum >= 10000 AND DATEDIFF(DD, T0.CreateDate, GetDate()) = 0 ORDER BY T0.CreateDate DESC
then in Alert u can set the frequency as 1 minute.

Collection Alerting for Endpoint Protection and Client Status

both for the Client Status alerts and for the Endpoint Protection alerts I have set these up on one collection each,
the thing is if you go to the Client Status node under monitoring, by default the collection 'All desktop and server clients' is selected, while this one doesn't even have the alert configured
same goes for endpoint protection, where by default the collection 'All client Systems' is selected ...
what is the purpose of configuring a specific collection for the alerting, if you have to select this every time you look at the monitoring?
try to explain that to customers..

The purpose of configuring alerts for different Collections is that you can have e-mails send to different Groups. When you create subscriptions you can select the different alerts and configure them to mailed to different Groups.

ALert for specific system should go to different email group

How do I configure alerts for one target should goto seprate email addresses than our regular alerts goes.
Is there any way I can send alerts to different set to email address for some particular set of targets ?

I have created a monitoring URL alert for a web page using Beacon. I see that a Critical alert was issued and I can see it under Grid Control GUI but I did not received any email alerts.
I see following Critical ALert but NO email was sent out.

You may create an event alert rule which check the system event with event id 7036, Source ,service control manager, and description, XXX service entered the running state.

Help configuring system for media system and work

Basically I have an outline of what I would like to do and with your help I can get rest figured out. Going to get a Mac Pro 2.66 Ghz 2Gb ram to start with then eventually upgrade to 4g ram, ATI 1900 XT Card,bluetooth and airport,2 superdrives,2 monitors hooked up and 1 hard drive of 750g Thats my starting point
I want to buy 3 seagate drives of 750g each to fill up to max
So question 1. is how do I set up the hard drives I have heard about raid 0 and raid 1 but not sure how to go about it?also want the safest set up have noticed sum people on forums sumtimes lose info so I am concerned
Sum info for the above question is that my plan was to connect the 3 seagate drives into 1 and add my itunes folder to this drive basically a giant media drive plan to have all my music and over 600 and adding movies that i am converting via handbrake so when Itv is realesed I can view all my media on the tv and box all originals up and 1 extra hard drive use that simply for files documents etc.So with this info my next question is
2.Once leopard is realesed what will be best way to back up info?and how using this configuration or different one?

Alerts for Receiver Adapter and Synchronous Messaging

Hi experts,
I am working on XI 3.0 SP 17. I am doing alert configuration in XI . In below 2 cases we didn't receive alerts for errors.
1) In case of errors in receiver adapters.
2) If an error occurs in synchronous message processing.
What would be the Problem?
Please help me out its very urgent.

Hi Hari
For raising the alert related to Adapter specific you need to create alert rule in RWB and select the adapter option and then select the adapter for which u want to raise an alert.
To configure your alerts, proceed as follows:
● Create the alert categories that you want to use in your alert rules.
● Create the alert rules in which you want to use your alert categories.

I use a Withings scale. Yes, it requires the Withings apps but syncing has been pretty seamless. The HealthKit framework is designed to allow applications to share information. At this point, it doesn't appear to be designed to allow devices to share information with the Health app directly. Given the fairly rudimentary nature of the way information is displayed by Health, this makes sense. Health is great for making sure that the weight data from my Withings scale gets synced to My Fitness Pal and Runkeeper. It's far more useful to me to see my weight data in MFP where it is used with the food diary and the movement data from my UP24 to give me a good picture of what I need to be doing. Health just doesn't really compare. It gives you basic graphs and that's about it.
So, I guess what I'm saying is don't discount the scales that require an app. The Withings app is very nice. It also lets me take my resting pulse every morning (which is sent to Health).

I've one requirement from my client, Whenever I post a cash deposit into bank of Rs. 10,000/- or more, an alert has to go to the authorizer. This is same for withdrawal also. Please advise how to achieve this in B1.

Can anyone suggest an international GPS nav app that offers map and POI downloads for offline access and route search?

I'm going to be in the UK with an American phone, don't expect mobile data, and I'd like to use this app instead of the £30 up charge for a rental GPS... I've seen the free Navfree and the cheap as free MotionX Drive, but have read Navfree has some spotty routing and MotionX won't allow regional (or even whole city, ftm) map downloads.

At $90 for the UK maps this is a too pricey for the use case. In case it wasn't clear, I'm visiting the UK short term so I shouldn't spend more than the £30 to hire a GPS nav system.

Major advice needed for premier system and camcorder.

Ok, I'm a graphic designer by trade. Been using Adobe products for 20 years, but never really did anything with video. We will be upgrading to CS5 and I have been tasked with getting us into video. I need some opinions on whether to go with HDV (tape), Sony HDR-FX7, or go with an AVCHD camera of similar quality. Also, how well does Premier (cs4) handle the AVCHD format. Lastly, I have read the minimum hardware requirements for premiere, and pass that test barely, what would you suggest as the minimum hardware, that I could tell my IT department, that would get me by without wanting to throw my computer out the window. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You should find it in the $2100 to $2200 range at any number of resellers.
Get Cineform's Neo Scene and you can convert the AVCHD to Cinform's codec. That will allow you to edit the material on a system that can't handle editing AVCHD natively. I would still look at getting a supported video card for the MPE regardless of which way you go. As for monitors, have your IT look at the Asus monitors. Their cheap with great color and a very low response time.

phase angle of a sinusoid output of a linear system when knowing the
modulus and phase angle of the sinusoid stimulus and also having the
sampled output in the time domain.
Input = sin (fi*t)
H(f)=tranfer function of the linear system
Output = |H(fi)|*sin (fi*t+angle(H(fi)))
with fi the frequency of the input wave
So I want |H(fi)| and angle(H(fi))
when given Input and the sampled output in the time domain

You can also select this function from the menue Signal Processing
==>Measurement
If your sine is not periodic in the sample interval (2^N points preferrably)
you might need other stuff from that same menue like 'auto power
spectrum.vi' and 'power&frequency estimate.vi' to determine the exact
frequency. And you have to interpolate the phase (change: - pi radians per
frequency bin).
Don't forget to 'window' before taking the powerspec.

HELLO SAUSAGE,thanks 4 ya reply.you'll be pleased to know that REALPLAYER does support IPOD,infact not only does it support it,i wud recomend using it instead of Itunes,i say this because its realy easy to manage files and playlists,and you can transfer playlists from ipod to realplayer,which if ya not aware is a pain in the *** to do in itunes.SERIOUSLY try realplayer its alot smarter than itunes
