CD covers & Disc Template

Hi
On my PC I have a product called expressIT which allows me to grab an image that Ican then click on a disc template and it resizes ready to print out on my networked HP C5180. I can also ad an image to a DVD or CD cover template and again it will resize and print out. Does anyone know of anything similar for an Imac? I will be upgradeing to Leopard shortly if that makes any difference. Thanks

Hi I have installed and expressIT I can get it to do everything but print!!! It see's things in print preview but when you print on either local USB printer or the network printer it just prints a blank page. I can create the same image on the pc and it prints fine on the network printer. Rather than fiddle about with this does anyone know/use a CD/DVD lable kit that works on the MAC? Thanks

  • Template Chooser titles covered by template reflection

I am a new Mac user and recently purchased Pages. Upon opening the app, the template chooser opens up. In the videos, you can clearly see the titles of each template in a white font with a faint reflection of the template behind. What I see is a big block of white covering the white template names, so I can't read the names at all. Does anyone know the best way to fix this? Maybe just uninstall and reinstall? Thanks in advance!

    Meg,
What I see here is this:
Can you post a screen shot of what you have there? We might be able to tell what is going on.

  • Adding a background video clip covers my template.

Is there a way to have a background video playing behind the framesFilmstripCover template?
    Thanks!

Do you have Flash? If so, it's pretty straightforward - there's a FLV playback Component, you drag that onto the stage, link it to your FLV file, and save as a SWF (more or less).

  • Premiere Elements 10 crashes on disc templates

I am copying Jonty's message. I am having exactly the same problem. I feel it has something to do with the latest OS X (Mavericks). Please get a fix out asap as I am sure there are a lot of us hurting right now. I have one other product (not Adobe) and it is crashing and the vendor said it is Mavericks so I am hoping you wil be able to correct this real soon.
    Thanks
"I have a really annoying problem when trying to use Premiere Elements 10 on my Mac

We will attempt to save your current project'. It doesn't seem to matter which template I choose the error always happens.
When I re-open the project all the video is missing and I have to start the project over again which is really frustrating.
Anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Premiere Elements 10 but that hasn't helped.

    Hi Hausbrotherrecords / Coyotebobby
    Right firstly sorry I never updated this thread but some time ago I did get some info out of Adobe support;
Basically Adobe never fully tested PRE10 with Mavericks but support did admit they were fully aware of the issue prior to the release of OSX 10.9. The issue apparently is with the interaction between Mavericks, PRE10 & Quicktime which PRE10 needs. Basically as PRE10 was no longer the latest version of Premiere Elements Adobe (even though they knew of the issue) decided to do nothing and not warn their customers nor are they going to fix the issue.
    I argued that;
    a) At the time I was dealing with Adobe Support it had been only 14 months since I bought the software from new and at the time of purchase PRE10 was the current version.
    b) I would have a reasonable expectation that Adobe would continue support for PRE10 for a minimum of 2 years from the date when PRE10 ceased being the current version. There is a law set by the E.U. (I'm in the UK) that states that when you purchase a product that the purchaser would expect to get at least 2 years use from a product unless it directly specifies that the intended life of the product is less than 2 years. I also cited the support periods of other software companies (Microsoft with XP 13 years & Office has a 4 year support cycle) and showed that Adobe had fallen short of a customers reasonable expectation by not fixing the issue.
    c) I also cited that Adobe had known about the issue prior to the release of Mavericks and had failed to take reasonable steps to warn customers not to upgrade to Mavericks if you needed to retain full use of PRE10 thus forcing them to upgrade as their products would fail.
Adobe accepted these arguements and upgraded me (via download) to PRE12 for free which works perfectly. Personally I would have prefered that they fixed PRE10 as I prefer it but I'm happy with the outcome.
It has been 6 months since this happened but you can try making the same arguements to them and you may get lucky and get the same outcome.
    Hope this is helpful.

  • How to install free disc menu templates?

I'm a beginner in using my new iMac and Premiere Elements 10, so I have to ask - How to install the free disc menu templates from Muvipix? Are there any more disc menu templates in Preimiere Elements then the few ones I have there?
    gardie10

This would probably be a better question for the folks at Muvipix.
    In fact, here's the answer.
    http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=8374
(Make sure you unzip the downloaded files before you store them in folder in the location listed!
Meantime, make sure you've installed all of the content discs for Premiere Elements. You should have over 70 DVD and BluRay disc templates.

  • Keep or uninstall Premiere Elements 8 templates before installing v11?

I am upgrading from Premiere Elements 8 to the new v11. Should I uninstall/remove the templates which came with version 8 before installing Premiere Elements 11? Does v11 come with these templates or will keeping them provide me with additonal template options? Thank you.

Version 11 comes with its own catalog of disc templates. They aren't installed when you install the program but, rather, are downloaded as you use them.
Regardless, there's no value in keeping your version 8 templates.

  • "Create BluRay Disc - Fails at end"

I don't want to burn a BlueRay disc just yet, I just want to create the files which I will load into an authoring app on another platform.
When I use the compressor BluRay Disc template it appears that everything worked until the very end when Comprssor complains that another application is using my removable disc drive. I can only hit cancel. It does leave a .H264 file that is exactly 3gb behind though. I haven't tried to test that file.
What are the encode settings for the BluRay H.264 job so I can manually create my own template that doesn't attempt to burn the file?

Sadly, no change after updating v10.8.5(combo). A normal boot with an attempt to "buy book" from iPhoto, gets almost to the end of the upload and then gives me the following error:
In Safe boot, I get to the beginning of the Assembly process and iPhoto crashes. Here is a portion of the problem details:
I compiled my book on Thursday evening, thinking that would be the painstaking part. Purchasing it has become too much of a time consuming adventure! I did call Apple Technical Support last evening and the service agent suggested that I check the Apple Support Community discussions, so thank you for taking a greater interest in my problem.
One other thing I found regarding problems submitting photobook orders is at the bottom of http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2516. An excerpt from this webpage is below, but I can't find the "NetServices" entry in my Keychain Access window to try this fix. Do you think this is a piece to my puzzle or simply old info as it was last modified on May 24, 2012?
Again, I was able to order a photocard (cancelled the order within 90 minute window) as a test, so I don't believe I have an account problem.
    excerpt:
If you are using iPhoto '08 or iPhoto '09 and are unable to submit your order after following the steps above, please follow these steps to reset your Keychain:
    Quit iPhoto.
From the Finder menu bar, choose Go > Utilities to access your Utilities folder (or press Shift-Command-U).
In your Utilities folder, open Keychain Access.
Find the "NetServices" entry in your Keychain Access window.
Select the "NetServices" entry and press the delete key.
Reopen iPhoto and attempt to place your order again.
You should be prompted to enter your account information if you deleted the Keychain entry successfully.
After entering your account information, you should be able to complete your order.
If you are unsuccessful with submitting your order, please contact Apple Technical Support.

  • User manual / disc 5 "Content"

    Hi, just installed APE10
    1) Is there a user manual available anywhere?  I can't find anything useful on the net; and the installed help only goes up to APE 8.
    2) What is "content" disc 5 for?  I tried unsuccessfully to install - couldn't find a .exe
    Thanks

The additional content is important to install. It includes dozens of disc templates, title templates and themes. You really do want to install it.
If you poke around on the main installation disc, you should find a PDF of the user manual. There's also a pretty thorough Help file. There are also lots of tutorials via the Inspiration Browser on Photoshop.com, so be sure to sign up for it too.
And if you want a simple, step by step guide to all of the tools in the program, there's always my books.

  • General Overview on How to use Final Cut Studio to create a Blu-Ray DVD

I am a new user of Final Cut Studio and need an experienced user to give my a progression guide on how to create a Blu-Ray DVD of my recent Alaska Trip. Last month I spend 8 days in Alaska visiting Denali and Juneau primarily. During that time I took about 100 short video clips (HD 1080p) and 570+ still photos with my Canon 7D. I have experimented with some pieces of the software and have created a Blu-Ray disk using Final Cut Pro and Compressor. However my goal is to create this DVD with menus that will play short clips (some narrated) and still photos(also some narration). I did a short one in DVD Studio Pro this morning but need some general guidance on what progression and programs to use to create this project. I was not able to take my video from the Studio Pro Sequence I created for my 1st DVD I had to take the original clips which were processed using Apple ProRes 422 and copy them in one at a time and then find the audio (on the voice overs) I created and also place them into DVD Studio Pro one at a time. I obviously need some guidance on the proper progression.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here's the situation...
DVD Studio Pro will not do the trick for you - it doesn't do blu-ray discs. If you want to do Blu-ray you've got to use either Final Cut Pro's "Export" command or Compressor's "Burn Blu-ray disc" template. The downside to both of these approaches is that you can't burn more than one title (or movie, etc.) using Final Cut Studio.
To do what you want to do, you need Toast (at least). Toast will auto-generate menus but will let you put more than one title per slide (so you can put multiple slideshows on the same disc).
If you want to do full-on customizing of menus and multi-level menus, for that you need Adobe's Encore.
My suggestion - Get Toast. Encore is close to $800.
Here's your progression (at least the one I use).
Edit in Final Cut Pro (ProRes 422 is fine, ProRes 422 LT would do the trick as well)
Export as QuickTime movies (original settings)
In Compressor using the H.264 for Blu-ray setting and Dolby Digital setting and create elementary streams for video (.264 file) and audio (.ac3). Make sure these files have identical names except for the extension.
Using toast, add the video file to the Toast project and it'll find the audio file.
    Burn away!

  • Internal ITS, ITS_ERRMSG_EXCEPTION SAPMSYST

    Dear Sirs,
I am currently facing an issue with an IAC based on the standard WSTA (some modification to the IAC) program by SAP. It runs quite well, but it looks like out of a 500 user sessions I have got three similar short dumps.
    The error message is,
I know the answer generally is to active ~webdynpro 1 (it is currently 0). However as I understand it this will only make the error appear more sensible. I can not understand why it only happens 1/100 times, could it be something to do with scarce resources?.
Does anyone have any input on where to start looking for the error, what is the normal errors concealed by the error.
I am aware of note 859213 Integrated ITS, error messg on transaction selection screen, however if does not give an answer. We are on the recommended stack/patch level.
    best regards,
    Jørgen

    Hello Klaus,
first of all I would like to thank you for the very good answers which you always seem to give.
As for the ~webdynpro it was a typo :=).
The service is migrated from standalone ITS to Internal ITS, and the same a dynpros is covered (same templates, same parameters). Would you think that is probable that this error has been exsisting at the standalone ITS as well, and have just been discovered now. Or is this something which may have been caused by the internal ITS migration.
Our big problem is that since the error is rare, even though if we set ~generatedynpro 1, if the long error appear on the end user side. It is unlikely we will be able to get the long solution? (as the users probably will forget to send it to us).Or will the long solution be available in some central log which we can read.
And just to double check, there are no downsides on setting the ~generatedynpro 1?. If it not, I guess best practice should be to set it on every IAC.
    Best regards,
    Jørgen Ruud

  • Changing Images in Theme

    Greetings all,
I am trying to change the color scheme of a theme and in testing, I just replaced one image in the theme and uploaded it to my workspace. I went into the template to try to change the image and it did not change the image for every instance. I am working on theme 10 and there is a right tab image that appears between each tab. When I changed it in the template, it only changed the first one. So when I updated the image in the template you will see from the excerpt below that it changed the image in line 3, but did not change the image in line 9. I would think there is a place I can have it change all images with the same name as I would not want to have to manually go in each time I add a new tab correct? Should I be looking at different template location?

I only was looking at theme 10 because I do like the tab layoutThat's a subjective call. My own opinion is obviously different...
    >
So for example in the body template there is this line:
    <td class="t10Logo" valign="top">#LOGO##REGION_POSITION_06#</td>
What do I do to edit things like the #LOGO# attribute or the #REGION_POSITION_06#
They are substitutions I understand but where do they pull their information from if that is even relevant.
    >
Substitution strings control the positioning of page elements. The content of these elements is generated elsewhere. <tt>#LOGO#</tt> is replaced by the content of the Logo application attribute. <tt>#REGION_POSITION_06#</tt> would be replaced by any page regions assigned to the corresponding region display point.
It's not really a question of "editing" substitution strings, but of including or excluding them according to the purpose of the page template. For example, in Login page templates commonly include <tt>#LOGO#</tt>, but omit <tt>#TAB_CELLS#</tt> and <tt>#PARENT_TAB_CELLS#</tt> as tabs are not displayed until the user is authenticated.
The APEX documentation covers Page Template substitution strings.
So is a better way to edit a theme to export the theme and make the changes in the exported file and then upload it as a new theme rather than just making changes on the different pages? When a theme has been created&mdash;from scratch or from the repository&mdash;it is local to an application, so changes made to it will only affect that application (except where templates are subscribed to from a master app). A theme can be exported for import into other applications or inclusion in the instance repository; or its templates can be published for other apps to subscribe to.
Don't understand what you mean by +"just making changes on the different pages"+ ?

  • Is Adobe Elements 10 compatable with Mac OX version 10.9.2 ?

Is Adobe Elements 10 compatable with Mac OX version 10.9.2 ?
I have just bought a new Mac and would like to know if Elements 10 will work on it please.

    flon
I am strictly an Elements Windows user but try to find common ground between Premiere Elements Windows and Mac to give a viable response to Premiere Elements Mac questions.
On this one, I suspect that the bottom line is going to be "try it" and see what happens in your specific computer environment.
Please review the discussion in the following thread
Re: Premiere Elements 10 crashes on disc templates
Also, you are in for major display problems with Premiere Elements 10 on a computer that uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card.
There the fix is to roll back the driver version to May 2013 in order to get Premiere Elements 10 to function properly.
Please review, consider, and then let us know the outcome when your schedule permits.
    Thank you.

  • How do I get the plus content for the Mac Premiere 10?

I bought Premiere 10 for the Mac.  I wanted more themes etc so I upgraded to plus membership.  I have not been able to get any plus content.  I uninstalled and reloaded after I had upgraded to plus membership, no change.  I have verified that my account says plus membership.  Any ideas?

You should contact Tech Support at Photoshop.com. They're very responsive and very helpful.
But, assuming you're logged into the site when you start the program and you've got an always-on internet connection, the Plus content appears on the Mac just as it does on the PC -- right in the program, but with a little yellow banner over the upper right corner.
They're most easy to spot in the Themes and Disc Templates.
BTW, what kinds of additional content are you looking for? Custom-designed DVD and BluRay themes can be found on sites like http://Muvipix.com, often for free.

  • Problem adding photos

I'm trying to use a poster template in pages.  I want to add my own photos instead of the
placeholder photos.  When I click media to show my photos so I can dray and drop them,
iPhoto comes up full screen instead of in a column on the right side of my screen.
I can't drag and drop photos because it is full screen and covers my template.
How do I get my photos in a column on the right side of the screen?

    BW,
Click the Green Ball in the upper left corner of the Media Browser Window to resize it. Or, grab an edge and resize manually.
